I don’t belive they will remove minimal range. First of all it would even more encourage “kit juggling” (never was big fan of this) to get even higher dmg.
I am all about to make it super powerful, tactical, very long ranged weapon (even adding 1-2seconds delay before first attack after moving to set up your set, and getting 1 stability every 3 secs).

Well… I wasn’t very happy either… It seems they aiming towards PvP balance (I dislike it even more because i am PvE player). It is enough just to hear them while they presented warrior and Merciless hammer trait, and were proud that hambow will be back.
This trait is now master tier in defensive tree. They switched it to GM trait in other tree so it won’t be competing with cleansing ire. They didn’t even boost it, so master tier trait became gm, because that how they see this build. So they basically nerfed this trait.

I am also using elixir-infused bombs on cleric gear. And now I am loosing it. What is funny it seems that “meta engi” will be working just fine. Probably even more powerful with 2 free blast finishers for ultra optimized runs (where you won’t need them to survive).
Unfortunately bombs are outclassed by triple vulnerability stacking grenades.

Anet for now I HATE you… till you prove otherwise…

or it is time to scrap healing turret for first aid kit (and abuse “on healing skill used”) but knowing luck it will have ungodly ICD, and will be kitten healing…

even jumping puzzle are terrible… Skipping stones are one of the harder, and probably the most punishing puzzles available…

Out of my perspective… I did it after 80 (with exotic gear) and my engi didn’t had too much trouble, beside like 3 times I had to use my panic button…
Think you would like to use when you are ele:
- glyph of storms → sandstorm (blindness is wonderful against trash mobs and with this one you will be untouchable for 10+ seconds)…
- Lighting hammer (+additional charges from fire skill tree) → before getting this skill levelling elementalist is painful chore. After that it becomes walk in the park, because spamable blind.
- group up with friends, or even make PuG. You are doing it solo “at level” so it is gona be more challenging.
- Invest into “survival” gear. Berserker is not answer for everything.
- You can always go make a bit of map (like this low level that you probably didn’t done), and get additional traits that can help you.
- I would say avoid ice bow while it is great against big enemies, it is also burst weapon that you should leave behind, and not as useful against small enemies.
- summon earth elementals – they have big hp pool, and huge toughness so they hold agro easier.
- buy some usables – Plant mortar turrets (in caledon forest), healing seeds (area above lions arch), and for higher level ogre pet whistle (iron marches), fire elemental powder (fireheart rise).

I just wondered… Why getting some stats combinations on your equipment is impossible (ex. main Power, and Prec + Tough secondary), and even if possible there are kittened requirements (zealot).

When I see materials I am sure such system once was in game, or was planed.
Blood is Power, Claw is precision, Fang is Ferocity, Bone is Vitality, Scale is Toughness, Totem is Healing Power, and Poison sack is Condition Damage…

Why cannot I use 3 blood, 1 scale, and 1 claw (or even 3,2,2 for more expensiveness) and craft Power (primary), Precision and toughness equipment.

I don’t even need it during crafting equipment lv. 1-79 it could be only for lv 80 exotic, and ascended equipment.

There is lot of “bad blood” around zerker meta. But even Game don’t provide any viable equipment with a bit less damage and some defensive stat (like my example). So you are Uber DPS, or punny DPS (and nothing between). Whit this I would happily change my berzerker warrior gear for some mix that would provide me some more armor and vitality (on expense of ferocity).
Of course it wouldn’t remove berserker meta, but it would be step in right direction.

What is against it. If you are afraid that it will make much more easier to reach lv 500 during crafting, then you can use more expensive version, or lower boost for finding new recipe.
When crafting there is already hard to find some stuff, so additional sorting methods would be useful (ex. sorting, by set) even without changes.
At level 80 you buy recipes for dowels and inscriptions (there probably would be need for blank inscriptions) so there wont be problems with interpretations while inventing.

Cleansing Burst does not benefit from Healing

This is known “issue”, but they probably won’t change it.
You know why? Because now healing turret is only viable option for engi.
It is shot CD heavy burst AoE healing (as long as you know how to blast turret with its own waterfield) with condition curing. It is probably the most powerful healing ability in the game (and sits in right spot imho), and other are heavily situation reliant (AED have horrendous CD, and puny healing unless you use its while dying, and first aid kit don’t do much healing and require you to have kit equipped, and all is single target → over time you should be able to heal a bit more to single target, but you loose so much damage during this time that I wouldn’t advise , also note worthy is long casting time on self heal).

I would like pistol in main hand, as medium range weapon with strong single target AA, and utility with baisicly no dmg on 2-3 (smoke with single stack of blind + timed bullet destroying and weakness + cripple)…

After changes Tequatl head is almost impossible to hit (no number dmg).
With left turret at west defence I was able to hit tequatl head only when he was weakened (after landing with 75%,50%,25% hp). Still it seems that ‘2’ skill was working.
With GS mesmer I also had problems with hiting head (a bit more often I could damage head – it never worked when he summoned his fingers).

Firebreath chili -> timed fireburst.
Maybe small trinkets for jewelery for like infinity ember summons. bottles with new unique summon.

there can be so many interesting stuff. Not to mention “lazy” +5% stats, or cheaper 100/70 food.

Healing Power

I am running sometimes dungeons with my cleric geared Engi… but only when I running with friend.
Still I stopped to use elixir gun, its dmg is not great, conditions never were problem, and using acidic blast (or how it is called) is wonky to say at least (after activation you have to change kit, but not too fast as it won’t activate, or you will fly away).

The main problem with healing power it scales way weaker than power (not to mention that power is amplified by precision and ferocity). Weak attack chains scales by 0.7 per hit, and some abilities scale more than 3.0, while I am not sure if there any healing that scales more than 0.4.

The best would be adding on top of healing to emphasize its “supportive role”, free buff duration and/or none damaging conditions duration and/or recharge on class mechanics (or even mix depending on equipment slot).

They also should do something with berserker gear (I wouldn’t mind removing it with free exchange for other gear). No to mention that gear with Power+Prec+defensive stat is almost unobtainable (zealots require large qualities of rare materials, and are there any other?).

Axe offhand have its niche uses (even in fractals → Vulcan where you want to quickly break final boss shield).
If you are (probably not) asura then you can get radiation field (long lasting poison field, that also weakens enemies) and get poison bolts combo finisher. Otherwise only available field for warrior is fire field on bow, but last much shorter, and require you to switch between weapon set, and there is no fast way to double switch weapons (axe→bow→axe).

There is one thing that in HoT plans can also hurt viablity of condition dmg (in PvE). Dev suggested there will be mastery that allow to lower armor of husk (striping down bark of enemy), so even in these rare occasions where condi are required/ preferred (SW Husk, Triple Troubles) direct dmg will also be better option…

For now the only JP that made me angry was atherblade one in this area just north of Lion’s Arch (not sure if it is infamous atherblade JP that is often sold by the most helpfull and friendlies of communities). It don’t have any reasonable spawns points and very little return points → only one near the end , otherwise you start from beggining, or WP. Also don’t help that Aetherblade are annoying cheaters (i would love so much condi stacking as veterans there available, or being able to knockdown every 5-6 seconds).

And i was much more angry when i had to do WvW maps for explorer → 3 this same map when you can be killed by some roamers, or pushed away by these annoying rangers.

Honestly I only doing it to get 1 daily laurel. Because you are good at it it don’t mean it is good event.

Today I fought against player and when I attacked him 3 times, he got “obstructed”, later he shoot through my wind shield… If it was my first match of day, and I lost it, then I would simply rage quit. It all was probably issues with lag (on his side, as i never got problem with other ones)

Yesterday I created new character. As I already have meta warrior I thought about creating tank warrior. When I looked at shield I felt puzzled. CD on shield are massive (25, and 30 seconds without traits).

I was thinking and the only conclusion why CD are so high is because it could mess with PvP.
Shield in PvP can prevent quite huge burst, and would be undesirable if it would be available more often than burst).
Stuns in PvP you can chain so it is not fun if you get CC indefinitely (thou you will probably have some form of stun break and stability)
Not PvE it is not so fun. Shield will probably be only able to block single attack (especially if you fight boss), and CD is 2 times as big as riposte, that not only will block this attack, but still hurt enemy.
Control effects in PvE are even bigger mess, as the only one think that you want to CC would be bosses and champions (as Zerkers kill rest with ease, maybe expect elites sometimes), but after single CC boss enemy will get Defiance stack that prevent other CC, so the only viable CC you would like to use is ice bow freeze, as it last longest, and rest as defiance stripping. Still number of Defiance stacks don’t depend on number of hard CC available in team, or even length of last CC, so the mere 1 sec daze is worth this same as 3 seconds stun.
Also shield bash do low dmg, and leap finisher is almost negligible as you don’t have access to any fields, and most auras also have too low duration for PvE.

I would like for developers to rebalance skills (not only warriors – shield is only example – I don’t think it would break game if they lowed CDs by 5-7s, and 10s) that they work a bit differently in PvP and PvE.
They know it -> they just changed dmg from confusion that it deal significantly more dmg in PvE.

My second Pet peve is weakness. I don’t like luck chance in this skill.
While boss preparing super attack it can deal low dmg, or one shoot people. 50/50 do you take a risk? Of course not. No one would take risk. I would be much more happy if in PvE monsters would do 75% dmg all the time, or even 80%, but to be sure that you don’t get that spike dmg (that noone like to receive).

Did event… and done some raging on guild channel. It is simply terrible.
- Daily chest 1 laurel – ok there is never to little of them, as I bought GW2 quite late (so there is lot to buy)
- Nothing for participating… it is simply EWW… today I done 5 wins but never again (tomorrow I will open 6 envelopes, and it should get enough of them for just 2 participation).
- It is PvP event and there is not enough activities at all… I don’t do PvP… I dont like it…
- Gambling → simply rewarding players with older accounts (as they have more MF), so rich get richer.

Dragon ball problems:
- single arena (how long can you play it before it get boring)
- fast paced (a bit to fast paced – I was really lacking some aim bot → can someone put ad for one)
- no tutorial – It is problem with EVERY activity ever made(during winter events, or even daily activities)
- simply kitten simulator (win this team that can stay grouped for longer)
- none rewards mean that loosing team will start leaving (with terrible requirement of 5 wins for daily)
- Can someone tell what is meaning of upgrading your basic attack – I would think it would be more dmg (but no), it is also not increased hit box of attack, as there are no hitboxes (and As long as enemy is visible, within range and not dodging attack will hit)

Honestly it would be hard to make worse event. This is not the one you could be proud of.

Is the warrior good?

Are warriors bad? → don’t think so, it all depends what you need.

They have low skill flooring, so even newer players, or more casual ones (or simply lazy), can do well without lot of investment.

While PuGing (dungeons) as long as you appear with zerkers gear with axe or GS, then you are safe, and no one of this “friendliest community” will instakick you out of party.
While doing dungeons with friends, they also won’t kick you (if yes, then you probably should change friends).

They seems middling class with solid personal DPS, ok personal Survivability, and some party utility. They are just easy to not being burden to team.

The price is unfortunately low skill celling, and being subpar to other classes in most cases.

Or you know what… Some could consider this as trolling…
Maybe just deleting +Pow +Prec +Fer gear would solve problem (in exchange offering wider array of +Pow +Prec +X and +Pow +Fer +X (honestly I was looking for something like +Pow.main + Prec +defensive Stat, and there are none, the closest one is zealot with healing power (least favourable option I think), and it is not even easy to get → as it is event stuff))…
Due to how these work, by multiplying their effectiveness (stacking these 3 at this same time gives relatively higher boost than stacking only 2).

It would remove zerk meta (as there wouldn’t be zerk gear anymore), and maybe give some space for condi builds…

As person who just began ascended crafting I don’t mind “some” grind. Honestly the only issue with ascended crafting I have with cloth and probably later with leather.

Every armor piece need at least 3 damask for insignia only (annoying more if you want cloth armor), cloth you can obtain only by killing monsters at appropriate level (quantities required for crafting, yes you can TP them but generally people who selling them also have to kill monsters, to salvage items you need items first that only drop from monsters (or you can chesse mistic forge karma items but in long run it also is not worth I think)) , and requirements of cloth are large… For goodness sake even refining silk cost 100 pieces (and silk is 3 scraps) while other materials are 50 (and you need more cloth)…

Maybe 5% is not big difference… But what if there will be content in future that this 5% (to be funnier lets add to this meta only) will make difference?

I have to say I am a bit disheartened… 2 times it happened to me during last 2 days…
During event in silverwastes i got DC (once during fight against husk boss, once less than 1 min before opening)…
It hurts me even more because I don’t “taxi” so it took me around 1 hour of honest play on almost empty map before “zerg” showed up…

I just want 1 thing… when you loose connection to game JUST WAIT 5 MINUTES BEFORE KICKING PEOPLE OUT OF MAP (reserve place on map for character), so that they could reconnect and finish their events on the maps they did it! Just sent it to your programmers guys. It shouldn’t be hard to do!

And for curious people. I don’t group on Silverwastes because it is time when no of friends are up so I just go solo…
