Agree.
I was in the area with Tequal the sunless (not sure of the spelling) and there are ruins on a mountain in the southern part of it. We can climb and jump from column to column to the mountain… And oops: a sudden invisible wall even though there is nothing in the way.
-snip-
Quoted for truth. Add the fact that the cost travel is universal, wherever we are, even if we are downscaled to level 4 in a zone.
… It took you -that- amount of time to nice that?
You surely completed a city at 100% and received 1 copper. It’s normal, it always does that for cities.
Agreed. I joined the Priory for the lore aspect, but I would have to run through two maps to get there… At this point, just running through the zones south of LA do the same thing.
But I wouldn’t remove the possibility of traveling from quarter to quarter there: it’s useful to travel around the map a little bit at low cost.
I’ve seen on Reddit that they also put an anti-farming system for events, to a point of getting only this kind of reward: http://i47.tinypic.com/2ic331u.jpg
for only walking around in a zone doing popping events.
Of course, you can alternate between path in dungeons, but in PVE it gets harder and punishing for only doing Events.
Hello,
I don’t know if it’s normal, but I bought recently the red dye on the Trading Post and even though it appears ‘red’ on all my other armor parts, it seems to be more pink when I apply it on my chest part. Even the little square in the dye window appears as such.
… If you don’t follow me, look at the screenshot attached and compare the red from the pants to the one from the chest.
Nothing major, but still noticeable.
Edit: I should specify: It does that on every chest armor part I wear (like the town clothes).

Actually, it’s not a “worldwide” chat, it’s a “map channel”, which mean you can chat with everybody in your map/zone (like Metrica Province or Queensdale).
To do so, type in /m before your sentence. Like:
/m I like bananas.
To revert back to local chat, it’s /l

- Waypoints
The engine behind creating waypoints is to get you to where you want to go, without the burden of long travel. This stands true, until you start moving up in the levels. That 11 copper waypoint to divinity’s reach is now a little more than 3 silver. It seems almost punishing to use the waypoints at higher levels unless you just have loads of coin on you. There are two solutions to this. Decrease the increments in cost for waypoints, or include some type of mounts or faster mode of transportation obtainable by players.
Or make the waypoint area based instead of level based. This way, we won’t have to pay 1 silver for the closest waypoint in areas like Queensdale.
I did read the whole thread, so I suggest you to put back your anger in your little box, it won’t help you here.
I also recommend you to re-read my answer: you got hacked and the hacker deleted your character. That you got back your account or not is pretty superfluous, the fact remains the same: you got hacked somehow.
What do you want us to do? To cry for you? Thousand of players got hacked and had losses, just like you. Most of them also paid for gems and even for collector editions and yet, they didn’t get back their character.
Arenanet said the rollback system wasn’t possible at the moment. There is nothing more to add, nothing more to know.
They won’t tell you went it’ll be accessible, because if they knew, they would have told us already. They won’t do an exception for you and search in their databases for your character, even if you spent real money on the game… Why is that?
1- The rollback feature isn’t ready yet.
And also:
2- It’s still launch time, thousand of things happening at the same time
3- Thousand of other players got hacked too, Anet has to deal with them too.
4- They need to work on their security system, update the game to correct issues/game bugs and unban hacked players/recover their accounts.
5- Arenanet has a limit. They do read, but they can’t allow themselve to do a personal answer at every request, not with two millions of player in game sending tickets every minutes.
Like I said, I’m really-really sory for your loss but… There is nothing we or Arenanet can do. You can wait for a rollback all the time you want though.

Arenanet has been stating for weeks that most (if not all) the hacked accounts were compromised from external sources, aka using same password everywhere, same email everywhere, registering to a website etc.
Since GW2 is pretty new, hackers search thousand of external databases and when they get a piece of meat, they try it on the big thing (the game).
So you were registered somewhere, you clicked something or whatever and it brought the hacker to your GW2 account.
Now, if they could give you back your character after a hacking, they would have done it already, like they would have done to all the thousand other accounts.
So I’m sorry to say that, but I doubt you’ll ever get your character again.
This being said, good job for avoiding getting rude/offensive in this circumstance.
Like it has been said, the cost shouldn’t be ‘level’ based but area based. Which mean if I go back to a level 1-15 area, I wouldn’t need to farm events for hour only to teleport from one point of the map to the next at the cost of 2 silvers.
Early areas don’t give enough in events/exp/rewards to pay our repair cost/waypoint cost if we go there. I don’t mind paying two silvers in Orr, but in Metrica province and else, since we’re downscaled, Waypoint cost should be too.
In other word: base the WP cost on the area (or the level within an area), not the character’s overall level.
So, it has been suggested in the Suggestion thread, it has been discussed many times on website like guildwars2guru…
There is an issue with waypoint cost. Not that I’m against waypoint costing anything: it’s normal after all.
What I’m uncomfortable with actually is the idea that the waypoint cost is linked to our level instead of the zone.
What I mean is that: if you’re level 50, teleporting to the closest waypoint would cost you 80 coppers (and up to one silver and more in later level), regardless of the zone you are in. So even if you are in Queensdale or Metrica Province (both starting zone), you’ll have to pay that much at every death. It becomes an issue considering the zone itself doesn’t even give that amount of money in a single event and we’re also being downscaled to the zone’s levels.
And I’m not talking about the repair cost. So not only at every death we will have to pay for the waypoint (for silvers), we’ll also have to pay for our repair (again silvers). Between that, the few event we’ll encounter will barely give us 50 coppers.
It removes all interest of going back to that zone, because we lose more than we gain.
Too long didn’t read version: We get downscaled to the zone’s levels, yet the waypoint cost remain the same wherever we are (it’s linked to our global level). The teleport cost becomes very expensive in later levels, and we don’t get enough money in events of earlier zones to pay our bill (waypoints/armor costs). Remove all interest of going back to starting areas.
Suggestion: Adapt the waypoint cost to the zone, not the character’s level. So it would cost less in Metrica, but so much more in Orr. More coherent that way.
Discuss?
The title says it all.
When previewing armor sets with a vendor, it would be interesting to see the total cost of all the previewed parts. Would make the choice easier sometime.
Something small that can ends being useful.
I’m not sure if this has been said before but it would be good if it’s possible to move while typing?
There is an autorun function.
Make waypoints’ cost area based and not “level based”. This is important because it kills any reasons to go back to earlier zones to see/help friends.
I mean: If you’re level 80, it costs a silver to teleport. It’s alright in a zone like Orr where you can earn lot of silvers with events and such, but in starting areas (Queensdale, Caladeon Forest, Metrica Province, etc.) where an events barely give you 30 coins, it’s a pain to be forced to pay a big amount of money just for a waypoint.
Since we’re downscaled, it’s really unfair: we’re getting as weak as fresh characters yet we have to pay more than them, let alone the repair cost.
Just making the waypoint “area” based would be a great improvement. There is enough gold sink in this game, this wouldn’t hurt.
Thanks for the answer, I’ll keep informed about this.
Hello.
Quite simple. I bought gems last week and chose to save the Credit Card information for future purchase. But with the amount of hacked accounts recently, I decided it would be safer if I could undo that… But apparently, there is no option available for this…
So: Is there a way to remove the saved credit card information?
Thanks!
Hello,
I’m actually around level 45, elementalist. In Dredgehaunt Cliffs, there is an instanced mission for my storyline called “Pastkeeper”, where I have to lead some Quaggans to a circle of stones for a ritual. Afterward, we get attacked by hordes of ice imp.
Of course, it might be a suicidal idea for an elementalist to complete this by itself, that’s not the issue here. The actual problem is if I get killed and select “Retry from checkpoint”, I get kicked out of the instance completely and I’m forced to restart.
I don’t know if it’s supposed to do this, if not well, there you go?
Thanks!
