My sylvari’s name is Virgo. I’m not really sure that suits lore though. :P
The warbeasts in Harathi Hinterlands look pretty awesome. Flamingos are available in the grove as far as i know. Oh and armadillos as a tank pet would be nice.
I meant actual flamingos, not pink moas. Like this guy -> http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Flamingo :3
At the moment, nothing really. I visit it after ever personal quest to see if any change happens. Other then NPCs moving in or out, there isn’t much to see. None of them even have any dialogue. They should really add dialogue to those characters. It really disconnects you from them when you see them in this ‘silent state’. I’m sure it will be expanded on though. :)
I love the concept of the home instance, I’m sure if they did more work on it, it could be really great.

Yup! I wish my character had gone back to see the fate of his friend (Both Seiran and Tybalt), or at least created a grave, funeral or memorial for this character in their home instance. It would have been a nice gesture! I usually ignore the lack of emotions in our main characters and pretend they have feelings, but this was one time where it stood out. The mentors were by far the best characters in the whole story.

What level ranger are you and what traits are you using? I’m currently level 65, I tend to die much faster than my pets ever do, even in WvW. Actually, they are usually the last to go down. I personally use wolves, birds and moas, and rarely switch them out, unless for boss battles. If you spec beast mastery with Signet of the wild and properly manage your companion in battle, you shouldn’t have any issues. They can dodge and avoid attacks just as effectively as you can with the right commands.

I’d love to see the Phoenix make a come back, and flamingos! They were in GW1 after all. :)
I don’t think it’s possible to tame branded creatures. There’s a part in the personal storyline where you can choose to help Ogres. Members of the Krall head to the branded area in attempts to tame the beasts, but become corrupted in doing so. They say nothing can tame them. The Ogres probably know pets better than we rangers do. Their whole society has relied on animal companions for ages, and they have the ability to tame hostile creatures that we can only dream of. They don’t even require a animal to be juvenile to domesticate them.

I noticed that too! I thought I was just crazy, it makes me giggle though. XD
Sieran can’t turn into a Risen, Sylvari are immune to the dragon’s corruption. :P
Oh lovely! There is a thank you thread around here. ^-^
I love what you’ve done with the game thus far. I really look forward to sticking around and seeing where things go in the future! All of your hard work really shows. In every tiny little detail. Thank you for this wonderful piece of art you’ve created. I’ll try not to be too annoying on the forums or anything. :)
Already mentioned, but Scythes, Claws and Rapiers would be amazing.
It’s unfortunate that friends don’t remember who you are. It’s almost like you lost all your progress of everything that had happened before.
I actually like Trahearne’s character concept a lot. Unfortunately, it wasn’t all that well executed. He had a lot of potential. It’s just, when you put together his dull character, mono toned voice acting, the lost of the great character before him, and the fact that nobody remembers you from your previous storyline steps; It makes for a not-so-good combination. It’s too bad, but there’s nothing you can really do.
Sorry if that seems rude to say. I really did love everything that happened before Trahearne got into the scene. : ) Going to miss Seiran! I think it would have been nice to pay a little more homage to her and the others. Maybe having your character visit their grave, attending their funeral, or doing something in honor of them to really help draw out more emotion. It would show how much that character really meant to 'you'. I can't help but to wonder what happened to the bodies of Tybalt and Seiran. I was a little sad when my character never went back to see.

Raptors, Dolphins (PLEASE, pleeease, please! They are like the loyal dogs of the ocean. Man’s best sea friend.), and Griffins. I’d faint if it were to happen!
I think we will probably see more in the future. It’d be strange if we didn’t. : )

Home Instance
Sorry in advance for any spelling mistakes. Writing isn’t my forté and English is not my first language! : )
I’d love to see this system expanded on. I think NPCs that move in or out should have text dialogue that speak of events that are or have occurred in your Personal Storyline. Not only would it give players another level of interaction with the NPCs you meet, but if done well, it could be used to potentially build up side-characters, create bonds between the player and story characters, and dig deeper into lore.
There’s also the possibility to allow these character to give out ‘side-tasks’ that can further personalize your story depending on which characters you meet! They could even be used to promote in-game areas. For example, a character tells you that you should try Keg Brawling or mention that you should check out a certain area in Tyria because you may find interesting secrets there.
I personally think little things like these may compel some players to venture back into their home instance and make it feel more like ‘home’ to them.
Other ideas for Home Instance
These are just little ideas from the top of my head. ^^
• Our own house. Doesn’t really need to be suggested since it seems there’s already plans for this in the future. Just figured I’d write it down anyways~
• Having a little farm, fishing pond and minerals that appear daily. Grow a garden and collect ore and materials.
• Possibly allowing us to move characters around in our home instance. One of my favorite childhood games is the Dark cloud series. You meet friends and can move them in and out of houses. They sometimes require you to give them specific items that they request such as a stronger roof or work tools to help them settle in. I don’t think the idea could be as elaborate like that particular game, but it would be fun to station our friends into certain homes or rooms in our area depending on where you live!
It’s a lot of extra work and not something that could be done overnight, most likely through expansions. Still, it would really help personalize the Home Instance even further. Anywho, thank you making such a great mmo and reading my suggestion. Enjoying it lots. :)
