Haha, made it after some failed attempts because the boss (Cpt. Ashym) spawned FGS. A useful trick: spamming P/P 3 with Skelk Venom so the NPCs can survive his agony attack longer and HOPE he will deal less damage to them.
I could imagine this boss being very easy on warrior… battle standard and NPCs would be back up…. Unfortunately no time to solo Cliffside and not even sure if thief can do it :/

I like to run PvP builds in dungeons, too.

So I had a warrior in my fractal pug sitting on LB pressing 1 from 1200 range. I asked him to run PS, he replied that it could never sustain more than 3 might stacks, so he’d better be off “supporting” with “healing banners”.

I’ve spent the last hour trying to figure out the right path through the Golem scraps in CM p1. No matter how I run, those pesky elites seem to follow me despite of stealth so I can’t get initiate my second Stealth Stacking. Somestimes I manage, sometimes they just hound me halfway across the mansion like Scooby-Doo monsters.

Anyone know which path is preferable? Should I go right into the big room first from the stairs, or left for the one furthest away?

It’s better to go right first and then to the first boss (because of the door that opens after you have done all golem scraps). Take 3 points in Shadow Arts and choose Master of Deception. 2 points in acrobatics for the movement speed increase. Use smoke screen + shortbow blasts first and make sure that the NPC is stealthed too (this was the no.1 reason mobs were aggroed on me back when I didn’t know what caused it).

Run inside, use Hide in Shadows after you interacted with the first part. Then run right, use SB 5 to get to the next part faster, interact, run to the next one. Use Blinding Powder if you haven’t done that yet. Maybe throw in a harpy feather if really needed. Interact with the next one. SB 5 to the beginning of the last room. Use Shadow Refuge and after it expires, SB 5 to the next part. Interact, SB 5 back.

Run back to where you came from, Smoke Screen+blast at the corner where you took the previous part. Go left and then straight until you’re in front of that room with fire turrets. SB 5 behind the turrets and get both parts there. Smoke Screen+blast for stealth here again (make sure to stealth the NPC, too), but not too close to the right wall, it will reveal you. Use your remaining stealth skills to get the last 3 parts, run through the opened door.

I normally use this in fractals and write “pie@join”, since I play with at least 1 or 2 friends we carry the other players as long as they are able to read and adapt to our tactics and demands.

Join the next 400+ man PvE/PvX/sPvP/tPvP/WvWvW/GvG/PvD/Dungeons guild that’s advertised in Gendarran Fields every 5 minutes. Not different from pugging, except that the guild chat will be your new map chat.

No. In all seriousness, if you’re concerned about the quality of your runs, joining a dungeon-focused guild is the way to go. Admittedly, most of them require you to run a meta spec of your profession and have a general understanding of your class and content. In most cases, that’s all it takes, with the last requirements being your learning capability, willingness to adapt and personal attitude.

In short, for us in order to recommend you a (specific) guild, you would have to provide us more detailed information (a kind of an open application?). What’s the timezone you live in and when do you play? Would you mind using VoIP and do you have a mic? How experienced are you in dungeon a, b, c? Stuff like that.

However, the result of that should by no means be intepreted as solely valid. The best thing we could do would be to give you a recommendation. In the final instance, the decision rests with the guilds (and you).

Another possibility would be to seize the initiative yourself. Look for other players you would like to play with and add them at least to your friend list. Organize runs with them repeatedly. Over time you’ll have found enough people you can play with.

Probably because there’s nothing better to take (unless you’re Norn)… It’s not your job to take FGS as the only warrior, so Rampage is kinda out of question, therefore the situational AOE rez is better especially when running risky comps without stability and/or reflects.

I kind of didn’t want to say it but…well, I certainly didn’t help things a few days ago but yah…theres a group that seems to want to farm as much gold as fast as possible over enjoying the game and making friends. I would happily add 2 weeks to my legendary farming if it got me good friends.

Id hate to be those guys. I farm as fast as I can and enjoy the game and make friends.

Anyone up for fractals? I cannot open anything above 39 (just ragequitted the 3rd pug… staff camping pvt guardians and rifle warriors ftw), but I need +1 lvl…

You need to capture a Dratini or Dragonair and get it to evolve. Both of these can be found by fishing in specific areas. The level and species you fish is dependent on the fishing rod used. It is faster to get a Level 40 Dragonair to evolve into a Dragonite, but you can capture a Level 20 Dratini with much lower-level Pokemon.

Got a [Crystalline Band (Infused)] today, get on my level!
