Can someone explain me why Shadow Trap bugs out 50% of the time only at the spider wisp?

I just don’t understand why he’s so upset about the greatsword mesmer thing. I mean… it’s like a longbow ranger. It’s a weapon made specifically for ranging, and most encounters are not completed efficiently when ranged. I don’t get why that’s a bad thing. Greatsword is good in other situations… why do weapons have to be good in all situations? I mean, all encounters can be completed with any build or weapon type, why do all weapons have to be optimal? I just don’t get it, guys. I just dont…

Dude you don’t get it, to many of us playing games is about pushing ourselves to the limit and push some more. A game with no risk/stress is a game not worth playing to many of us.

You may have a different view which is fine, but if you’ve been lurking around the dungeon sub-forum a lot of these people are long time players that discuss optimal strategies to find the most efficient method in terms of time completion.

Branding us as hypocrites, you may want to take a look at yourself.

I had this issue twice, and if someone leaves your party (to be reinvited later) you should be able to enter the instance.

And we did memorize the order of the first 9 burrows(we didn’t get past 9), they still swarmed 4 enemies each before we could kill them, and spawned too quickly, with each one having a remarkable killing power. Memorizing their order didn’t help. We also had frostbow and fire greatsword, neither made any difference(all four team members had control of them at some point.)

I’m going to bed now that physics is finished. Hopefully a later attempt will do better than my first. I’ll check up once on this next time I try to see if anyone has ideas on the 15 burrows.

You don’t need to kill the mobs. Just the burrows. You also need to kill them quickly, hence why it’s easier when you know where they are going to spawn.

Frostbow really should make a difference. I’ve done it with 4 frostbows and we killed the burrows so quickly I had time to get a drink before it the whole thing was finished. I’ve also done it no frostbows and and no decent melee options and we’ve only just scraped through it.

You don’t even have to kill the burrows, just protect the collectors.

However my bigger problem is with the hoard of bugs defending those machines the NPC sets up. How could we have handled that? and don’t tell me to pick up beserker builds or some garbage like that. It makes me feel a lot better about the designer to see those tells though, which is a good thing.

Pick up berserker builds (wtf is even berserker “builds”, it’s a gear prefix).

Why would anyone bother to waste damage by applying those conditions when most builds don’t need to care whether a target is moving slowly or not?

Because, let’s say a quick AOE chill for an Icebow 4 would still result in more damage than autoattacking.

Simple consequence: A good bunch of builds, which are competitive right now, get screwed (like hammer guardian, staff ele, whatever …), while other meta builds don’t give a kitten. Isn’t everyone on this forum crying that build diversity should be increased instead of removed completely? So yeah, brilliant idea …

I highly doubt anyone would stop playing hammer guardians or staff eles. Instead, soft CC like cripple/chill/immobilize would be more desired. How would that “completely remove” build diversity?

In lvl 25 fractals, pugs bring playhowIwant builds, in lvl 50s it’s only bunker builds using ranged weapon exclusively. It’s also where you find ignorant bunker guards who don’t care that you look for zerk geared players. They think they’re special snowflakes because they were carried to 50.
