The Order of Calamity [OOC] is recruiting!

Why is it an exploit when you place a reflect skill at the source of the attack instead of where it’s supposed to hit? What is unintended about reflect damage scaling with enemy power?
You’re not really putting it at the source though, you are putting it at a specific point in the terrain to create a result the developers clearly didn’t intend. For that reason alone its an exploit, just not an official one.
It also isn’t about the damage scaling with his power, its about how this special place allows the damage to bypass his phase mechanics where he should go invulnerable.
What may happen is WoR will get the same treatment as feedback and only reflect X projectiles.
You use terrain to put it at the source because the source is otherwise too high in the air. So what it is unintended? Pushing Lupi to the wall? Dropping reflects on top of the wall? Isn’t everything in bounds of game mechanics and thus intended?

I’d start with something easy such as CM path 3. Bring thief or engi for stealth together with a guard/mes for reflects.
Arah P2 is kind of a bad path to start with in my opinion because if it’s your first time I’m assuming you aren’t in full-out DPS gear. You’re going to be very very frustrated with Brie if this is true.
I disagree. Brie is very easy to duo, especially when you kill the 3 waves of mobs with the invulnerability buff you get from the boss when she reaches 50% health.
Anyway, if you have reflects, start with Arah path 3. The first 2 bosses can be easily trivialized that way. Try to learn all 3 phases of Lupicus first, then feel free to oneshot him.
I have noticed this today, too. Hopefully they fix it soon, can’t complete my achievement….

The Eu pugs are a divine punition. After 150 gearchecks and “did you read the lfg?”, you’ll solo the fractal.
And then people on the forum complain that EVERYONE is using berserker’s in PvE.
What happened to being able to get what I want by playing the content I want?
Anet never said that you should be able to get anything by doing anything.
There is also enough evidence in game that supports this – karma, ascended mats, every possible kind of specific rewards like dungeon tokens or Dry Top recipes, and so on.
What I think they actually meant was that there wouldn’t be restrictions to play whatever game mode you prefer. Basically (game-)technical limitations.
Guild wars 2 is a constant war between dev trying to fix Detha and Detha finding new way to bug AC path 2.
You are confusing Detha with iWarden.
Suspicious part is it’s usually not the entire game. I’ve only had lag in sPvP once. openworld almost never and most often in dungeons.
Yesterday was unplayable except in my homeinstance where I spent 20 minutes enjoying zero lag. sPvP was fine too.
Now that you say it, I didn’t have lag in spvp at all… Something’s fishy here…
I’m not sure whether this is new or not, but untraited iWardens can no longer reflect Old Tom’s projectiles.
They “fixed” iWarden some updates before I think (correct me if I’m wrong though, since I haven’t been playing fractals much).
I don’t think there would be anything wrong with seeing your OWN statistics at the end. That way it could still be used as a tool for “competitive” play without all the drama in PUGs.
This reminds of how me and someone else were posting an LFG for the new Halloween instance. 3 people kept merging our party with theirs again and again – they were all in different zones, Fireheart Rise, Sparkfly Fen and smth else.
We kept kicking them every time they merged. 5 minutes later I see one of them standing next to me calling me an kitten in the chat because we wouldn’t let them join us.
Morale of the story, you never know why people kick you.
I’d take a 2nd ele for Deep Freeze, Ice Storm, Glyph of Storms (vuln/blind), and LH synergy with the staff ele. PS warrior is not needed at all in organized groups.
Pretty sure killing Kholer isn’t worth it in path 1 and path 3, not quite sure about path 2.
Why is always so strange music during those videos? There is no game music and no sound effects.
Because the game music sucks
popcorn
There’s a new safespot for ooze?
Yeah, it’s the entire dungeon.
Hey slamb, contact me in game pls
Mesmer for CoF? It doesn’t improve the time by that much, unless your group is really, really, really bad at the boulders (and only usable for one of the three paths, unless you’re trying to optimize speedruns by multi-tasking with portals).
Not sure if serious.jpg
If you wanna use a staff build with mantras, I’d suggest something like this:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fhAQNArcWl0npRt1qxINcrNyqxcylOClZ1VpzI7AA-TJRHwAV2fIZZAAHBABnCAA
It can achieve perma burning and is very durable in combat.

Brief description of what you’re seeing
Sudden lag spikes, seeing other characters rubberbanding back every 2s while running around, lag intensifies in pvp making it almost impossible to play.
Fixing forum bug.
Bump!
I’d rather not see this thread locked.
Has anyone ever killed Sorge the Zealot on land?
Can you actually?
We did it once with FGS
RIP
^I think he was soloing Arah p4
If you want to play a game that has reactive combat and trinity, try Wildstar.
I feel that some dungeons, like Arah, are dominated by path sellers.
And just like others I will assure you that it’s just a baseless feeling.
It’s not a false statement. People just jump to wrong conclusions. There aren’t many people running it because it’s harder than most of the other dungeons, which makes it a perfect niche for sellers. But it’s not the other way around that they don’t run it much because of the sellers.
Nice job Already waiting for your Giganticus Rngculus records!
gw2 forum is not the place where provoke people… really.
[…]
6)competitive pve is, really, a joke and if you really judge players for the time they spend to complete cof, cm or whatever you surely have problems… not with me but the community… you should be one of those “p1 only zerk run 100k ap gear check or kick” … really I laugh hard at you.
no please be constructive or leave, ty.
Seems you can purchase additional ascended trinkets after unlocking the Achievement. Pretty neat, seems like a step forward in adding rewards for dungeons.
So. Many. Laurels.
D:
:( Perhaps fraps first couple o minutes? I guess this also depends on system performance and drive space. Otherwise screenshot like its the fappening? except you know with good looking people.
Fraps makes my game run with 5 fps while soloing with lowest settings :/
Great news. Good thing Ive started to stream “every” run I do.
Must be nice having a good connection, right?
:/
Apparently I’m entitled and rude
Also I heard 95% of all terrorists eat bread. Pls do something against bread.
Have you tried killing the HotW troll?
Just run ele and pop Swirling Winds in phase 2, though you might get kicked
But Lupi doesn’t kick in phase 2
if i remember correctly.
AetherPath requires 5 at one point. (of which you have already discovered.)
Crucible of Eternity requires 4 for Lazer trap.
Citadel of flame path 1 requires 5 for flame Brazier room.
Citadel of flame Path 3 requires 3 for Lake of fire torches
Arah Story requires 2 for first gate lock.
Arah path 1 requires 4 for Shoggoth
(there might be more but those are what I could remember off the top of my head.)Beyond those specific traps/rooms/encounters. everything is soloable.
HAVE FUN!
Aetherpath: 2 for ooze puzzle, 4 for the electric floor puzzle
CoE: (2-)3 for lasers
CoF 1: 4 for flame braziers
Oh kitten . So its okay if they kick me out of the party at the last boss chest or run as long as they don’t impersonate GMs. Gotchu
No, no – they will be banned if they do it very frequently.
Wait so now in order for us future lfg victims to actually report any LFG abusers and hoping devs to take “action” against the abusers we have to make public 100g betting post against devs and provide a thread full of proofs only to be deleted? sounds like a decent gold sink
Nope, the abusers have to impersonate GMs first.
Good morning, everyone! o/
It’s been a while since I was here, sorry. I’ve decided to get back into playing my guardian (after I died 5 times on Cliffside at level 29 and I instantly salvaged her whole gear) but of course, this is a serious matter of fashion first and utility skills next. Here’s Aurora, the Tequatl slayer.
I really like your guardian’s look Have you considered getting Infinite Light for her?
As far as I know, they are gonna fix the Cliffside bug.

Ignorant on this, have only done Arah exp once – if Lupi was skipped, why does this mean exploit? Is there no way to skip Lupi otherwise?
Pretty much. There is no normal way to skip Lupi and you have to break out of the map to do so.
Go divide yourself by 0
Lmao
Very nice
this is how you properly stack in guild wars 2.
Do people stack at Howling King?

Ok, that’s fair. I guess it’s just me that has trouble seeing it.
As someone who is soloing the Magecrusher on warrior daily, my 2 cents are:
His AA needs to be dodged before he does it (if you’re meleeing). You can run the standard meta build with GS and axe/energy sigil sword. Basically dodge/block every time after he finished his I’m-gonna-spawn-aoes-glow/triggering circles/lifedrain. This needs to be done in advance, so knowing the timing is kinda crucial (like evading Lupi’s kick with high ping). You keep dodging and blocking until he starts doing one of his channeled attacks again. Rinse and repeat.
I think this summarizes the OP quite well.
Favorite dungeons: Arah exp, AC
Least favorite: Arah story :/
Frankly with a latency of 200+ you can’t really be effective in many dungeons.
Can you avoid the lupi kick for example?
Don’t think so.
I am playing with around 300 all the time and I’m doing fine at Lupi. I guess it’s just a matter of practice.
Gw2 dungeon forums, where ugly male mesmers are born.
He still plays Gw2? Worse for me was the ones who merged kicked and gloated on it on lfg.
I saw him online 2 days ago.
But what if griefer doesn’t sell and just takes the end reward >_>
Then he gets 3 gold in 5 minutes. Imo that’s not too bad.
They would have to get to the last boss and kill it. I’ll take Arah as an example. P1, the Jotun boss – you need to get there first and then survive the encounter. As easy as that sounds, I already had 4 griefers “taking over” my instance and trying to do that for an hour, failing over and over again (it ended up with them inviting a thief friend to help at the skip and they still died there repedeately before they made it to the last boss where they wiped once again). In P2, you have to solo the last boss which requires very specific knowledge about the encounter. Same in P3, to a lesser extent and also in P4.
The gold that you mentioned would give them an incentive. But that’s only one side of the coin. Would the plain possibility of getting a path reward give griefers more incentive? That’s the (valid) question here.
