C’mon man. CM is one of the easiest dungeons in the game. You can get all 3 paths ran in about an hour.

^The reason why I’m not running CM. If I ever need 1 hour for three 5 minute paths, please remind me to kill myself.

If you want to practice it would be better to just destroy all of them. You can outrange every turret with Longbow 1 (autoattack will not work, though).

P1 is easier than P2 and has the same way from the waypoint to Lupi. You will only need 3 more to help you at Tar. You can even sell the path after you are done practicing.

Yes, I agree reflects are strong, but removing them isnt the answer, just tone done the damage and let them still work, Id be happy if it only did 10% the damage back, oh wait nvm 10% on some bosses is to much.. make it 1%, still be more useful than NONE!

Use 5/6/0/3/0 traits. Sword/pistol to cleave down the locusts (you can also blind them with 5) and d/d against the boss when there are 0-1 locusts around. Learn to evade the grub with Pistol Whip (don’t try it at his kicks if you are not experienced enough). Use D/D exclusively for p2 and p3. Daggerstorm + dodge to cancel it for stability during the transition. Either double dodge the p2 aoe or use smokescreen (you can also dodge once inside the smoke, I found it to be a bit unreliable). Withdraw as heal for phase 3, so you can dodge+withdraw out of his AOE attack. Double dodge his lifeleech. Watch your endurance bar and pop Signet of Agility if you need it.

So my suggestions for your utility skills: Withdraw/Sig of Agility/Smokescreen/Roll for Initiative or Assassin’s Signet/Dagger Storm.

Next thing I think dungs should be much more difficult but we should get loot from them only once per week (like in other mmo), lets say 4g for finishing cof p1 path and thats it , you can do that dung over and over but you wont see any loot .

I also prefer PS warrior for a pug. The problem is, without Rune of Strength, PS warrior is not that good and I CAN’T wrap my head around buying those rune for my Warrior. When i bring it with my guild I run Scholar since i’m not the might source (from Elementalist). So i end up playing 30/25/0/0/15 instead for pugs.

Sigil of Strength and boon duration food should be enough.

If you want to use a thief in dungeons, use d/d. It’s a lot more fun to play than s/p and does a lot more damage to your target. There’s a lot for the thief to do but it seems you’re already shutting it out.

I disagree. As a general rule, you want to use D/D against single and S/P for multiple targets. However, D/D is only good against single targets that allow you to hit them and immobilize > cripple.

Situations where S/P is better against single targets: Shoggroth (control), Phase 2 Archdiviner (instant AA with no tell, heartseeker has an aftercast delay, control), Mai Trin (PW outlasts her autoattack chain + condition removal on skill 2 + defiance ripoff), scale 50 Molten Berserker (PW helps against his hard hitting autoattack + evade for multiple waves).

Then you might want to use D/P sometimes, like in TA against the vines (blind/interrupt) or at Jade Maw tentacles. You will also find yourself using D/P against bosses that you will not hit from behind (due to either positioning or a conjured weapon) and where you are expected to lay down a smoke field asap after it dies (if you have to supplement your group’s blasts with SB). Hell, I can even think of situations where your SB would deal more damage than S/P (very limited, though).

I rarely see everyone dying (except for Mai Trin), not even at scale 50 Mossman or Archie. To be honest, it’s easy enough to not wipe in a 5man group with 4 people being able to res you all the time – even for pugs. And as long as I am standing, I can get everyone else up using Warbanner as my last resort.

Unpopular opinion here, but I wouldn’t run anything other than PS in PUGs. From my experience, it’s worth to bring it most of the time. For the most part, their DPS is not really good, however I prefer having reasonable kill times. And especially IF the guardian/mesmer cannot use reflects, killing stuff faster becomes more important. I like being useful to my puggies. It’s part of MY contribution to the run.

And we had to pug 1 spot (scale 40, 30 and 20) – got a decent warrior and just breezed through everything, it was so easy. The ele really made a difference + Nyn was on his guard so we could fiery rush everything. Mossman? Np, FGS. Champion Ettin? FGS. Archdiviner? FGS. Champion Grawl Shaman? Yep, fiery rush again. Aetherblade Boss Golems? Same. Grawl Boss, icebow. Molten Boss, icebow. Mai Trin, earth shield. Gotta love that.

Tachii, from what I’ve seen, the mages AoE has always circles now. The boss’s Meteor Storm has a huuuuuge red circle (unless you mean his agony attack that he uses in his staff phase, he is glowing before using it so you can see it coming).

If you have a PS warrior you can even go as far as stacking frost aura for 10% less damage…

It’s good during the p2-p3 transition- I hate it so much on my thief…

First you do the story mode. Then you enter explorable. After opening the LFG tool you click on “Advertise party” under the Arah section. Then you type in “Path X, anyone welcome” as your advertisement text. 5 minutes later you play the dungeon.

Unless… you only want to get carried.

Starting fractals approx. 30 mins before reset today (maybe a bit earlier if doing 50 first). Probably 50, then 40, 30, 20 and 10 but tbh I don’t care about the order. Whisper me at least 1h before reset. NA servers.

Meh, at least I could join a lvl 40 run @3rd fractal (Thaumanova). Ended up soloing the reactor room on thief faster than 4 of them could do the maze together and had to solo the final boss of course + scratch them off the floor at Mai.

Oh wait, I think I actually went afk at Mai after they were dying 24/7 so they could respawn in her room. They managed to kill her almost naked, must be pros fighting a boss naked.

And here I am, pugging every fractal tier daily with 4 randoms because nobody is online…

I think I’m perfectly fine with 3 lvl 25 necros in AC as long as I my PS warrior has an ele in the party.
