Posting to say I strongly oppose this thread. Nourishment allows me to tweak my build to my play style. If they take that out, WvW will basically be sPvP with unfair numbers and I will find a new game.
I know we give FA a lot of crap but [BT] and [RET] are two of the strongest guilds I’ve ever had the pleasure of fighting against. I look forward to another great week of WvW.

Karas is awesome, he hops into [DIS] mumble channels during our pushes (although we never talks :<)! Dulfy reps us every once and awhile for WvW but hops in for PvE from time to time.
In this video http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2guru/b/377719641 ANet states that the Revealed debuff will always be applied whether you attack in stealth or not next patch. This is a massive nerf to a lot of builds (most notably Backstab Thieves). I think a good compromise to prevent mass rerolls and effectively ruining dagger offhand thieves would be to reduce the revealed debuff by a second. This would still prevent perma-stealth while not punishing the player base for picking a class that was suppose to be based on subterfuge. Another possible fix would be to increase all stealth duration by a second to enable thieves to make up for not having comparable HP and armor of other classes (Warrior, Necro, Guardian).

All those IoJ and SoS guilds? Really? We got 2 SoS guilds and maybe 3 IoJ guilds all of which adding a total of maybe 50 active WvWers in different time zones. FA isn’t this huge bandwagon of a server that people have claimed it to be, all of tier 2 has had some sort of influx of people due to their skills which is why its such a close match. You may be “Jesting” but you really aren’t doing your server any favors by your posts.
You received 4 SoS guilds just last week (2 of which were over 200 members) and those are only the ones we know of. And you got a lot more than 3 IoJ guilds, lemme look for the list. I’m not sure why FA continuously tries to deny that they keep convincing guilds to come to their server. First, it isn’t true. Secondly, I’m pretty sure all of us are jealous. So far TC can only get guilds from CD. DIS (long time ago), KH and CYN all came from CD and that is just about all of the transfers TC has ever recieved.
I think it’s pretty apparent that TC needs SEA/Oceanic help. It’s just about the only time zones we aren’t stronger than KA in. It’s also pretty clear that we respect DB and would love for them to join the coast. With that said, I can assure you that we have not altered our behavior in the slightest. The TC you’ve come to know this week is exactly who we are. The reason we’re not trying not trying to directly recruit is out of respect for your wishes. We’re trying to let merit speak for itself.
On behalf of [DIS], I would like to thank all of Dragonbrand for an amazing night. No matter how much pressure we put on your last tower, you guys just wouldn’t back down or log out. I’d like to express how truly unique that is. That is not a quality you see in FA, KA, SoS, MG, SoR, CD or any other server we’ve ever faced. You have an amazing community and good leadership and it shows or you wouldn’t stand tall against a sea of TC flooding through your gates. There are a lot of members of TC saying that they just want to get back to t2 so the fights are better but I want to say Dragonbrand makes t3 worth being in. What exactly is ‘hop dancing’ and ‘corpse jumping’? I ask because I hop EVERYWHERE. I don’t know why it is but if I’m running and there isn’t anybody to kill, I spam the space bar because I guess I have a short attention span. I’m not sure if I immediately revert to hopping after I get a kill because I don’t notice when I am jumping anymore. Am I offending people without realizing it? Or are we just talking about kitten who sit there and jump on your head for 5m?
Tarnished Coast has a very strong but not large presence when compared to KA/BG. We’re a bit outnumbered around 3a EST and later but you it doesn’t show on the score board because I think our later hour players are some of the most skilled on our server. If you’re looking for people to play with while keeping the atmosphere competitive and not a zerg-fest, I think TC would be the best fit for you.
Two guilds: KH (about 30 dedicated WvW players) and LW (not sure their exact size, but they were definitely smaller than KH when we were all on CD. All the rest of the CD guilds went mostly to Kaineng and Blackgate I believe.
KH was recruited by TC to try and replace a couple of guilds that transferred off TC the week before.
This is wrong in a lot of ways. The only guilds TC has recieved in the last four months are:
[DIS]: ~30 people transferred from CD 4 months ago
[FIST]: ~30 people transferred from IoJ when IoJ died
[KH]: ~150 people transferred from CD when CD died
[CYN]: ~100 people transferred from CD when CD died
for a total of 310 people, that’s not even enough to even fill a single guild. I imagine DB/MAG got more transfers when transfers got locked down than TC ever did.
There has only been two guilds that have transfered off TC to my knowledge
[MF]: ~20 transferred to YB because they wanted more casual WvW about 2.5 months ago
[BLNT]: ~20 transferred to KA when they stomped t3 (I believe they thought KA would be t1 material)
TC has not received any large guilds EVER. All transfers have been small groups of 10- who came for our community and tenacity. We’ve earned our place in T2 and we are about as strong as KA even though we have fewer numbers and worse coverage. I understand from t3’s point of view we have a massive population but when it comes to t2, we are vastly outnumbered. BG and TC had about the same ratio of population as TC and DB does in this their.
I think many of you are forgetting TC placed 3,000 points behind KA last week. TC and KA are pretty similar in strength. KA is MUCH stronger during non-NA hours and TC has a stronger NA and possibly EU presence.
I was informed there would be Enterprise. Resource. Playin… um. Training Sessions for short, graciously hosted by TC on this thread.
As I have found none of the aforementioned sessions, and an additional number of vicious and disturbing cartoon images, I am requesting compensation for this deception in the form of a worthy shrine (of at minimum, 5 pieces) to it’s majesty, The Great Lord Flame Ram or this one Maguuman shall find the thread entirely unfit for reading!
Acceptable guidelines for posting images of ram shrines:
1. Please do not have rams placed at a gate (that is not a shrine).
2. Please be using the #2 skill on at least 1 ram as proof of respect.
This has to be the best use of tactics against TC any server has used ever before. In about 15 minutes, you guys are going to start asking yourself where the TC zergs are and you’ll check the forum and there will be at least 5 of these shrines. T-T
Which map were you on last night? [DIS] would love to clash steel with you. (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, GvG, whatever)
DBBL and then Mag BL. I ran into [DIS] a lot but it was usually one of me and 15 of you. I am game for 1v1s any time. I’m a purple-haired, purple-eyed asura shatter mesmer.
We have large organized pushes where we field 40-70 and then during off hours we are roamers in groups from 1-10 looking for good fights. We also run a Fight Club guild where we invite frequent duelers so we can organized large scale duels. If this sounds interesting to anyone on DB/MAG please let us know!
I’m also game for any 1v1’s. I’m a black and purple Sylvari thief with two Incinerators.
I’d also like to say I’m impressed with [TFV] from Dragonbrand. They’re without a doubt the best guild [DIS] has seen in this tier. What are your usual hours? I’d love to meet you guys in the field when 3/4th of us are not already asleep.
I second this. I have two Incinerators and the Knight stats is hurting my build. I’d like to transmute them both but I’m worried that if I do, they wont be considered Legendary. This concerns me for two reasons. 1) If they eventually fix the transmuting and make it so that they are purple in chat and no suffix, would this mean if I transmuted before this fix, mine wouldn’t ever be fixed? 2) When Ascended Weapons come out, if I transmuted, would mine be upgraded as well?
You are absolutely my two favorite servers to face. I’m sure we’ll see KA on our battlefield soon, BG will have to wait a while.
In an perfect world, this is how I’d like to see next weeks matchups play out.
T1: BG > JQ > SoR
T2: KA > SoS > FA (moving down)
T3: TC > DB > MAG (TC moving up)
Could we please get an official response if this is an intended nerf or an overlooked mistake?
It is neither. It just takes time to build these items and there is a huge amount of stuff on our list of things to do. We aren’t done adding stat combos. We will continue to add them as we have time to do so. With this batch, we wanted to even out the spread of primary stats and we already had a lot of stats with Power or Condition Damage as primary (more than any other, in fact), but I’ll be sure to get Valkyrie and Carrion into the next batch.
Does anet really have so little control over there own game. i mean we aren’t even talking new item models here. just a icon that could realistically be a recycled old one with a new name and stat weights that combinations like valk already have a basis in game to build off of, as well as existing formulas. where in the process is it that time consuming for coding in items with no game model. i mean hell you managed to fix the glowy effects on most of the items you broke within 2 hours.
I agree completely but I’m content with the knowledge that I’m not getting stealth nerfed by Ascended gear.
