Ghost thief is as challenging to play as any. Need to be 100% invisible. Cannot fail d/p 5 2 2 2 2 – cannot fail the traps. If you want go easy, run with the zerg.

BTW, playing commercial music as background music for video is not fair use. All movie makers pay royalties when they play commercial music.

Well of Darkness is as important as two other wells when capping wvw camps. First well of darkness, then asap two others, then dagger 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 kiting around them – then if not yet done, f1 4 etc. Without well of darkness this fails. Vanilla full zerk necro.

GH has lost BL keeps and EB towers for 2-5 enemies because commander had decided to get our zerg ganked 20 vs 50 in most distant corner of EB map. Nobody comes to help, and scouting is thus pointless.

But I have got instant 15k condi bombs. Multiple 4k-5k burnings. Instantly down. No ticks. Happened 3 or so times. Hack or not? At one time, I saw an enemy standing on SM wall, saw the animation, and slam, my toon was down instantly, at more distance than 1200.

I have sent screenshot of combat log to Anet via bug report. But times should be at millisecond precision to see that there were no ticks.

Would be nice to be able to record what happens in WvW. And later replay fights, in slow motion. Just like we watch ice hockey games because everything there happens so fast and we like replays. Client program would continuously record the client content; maybe open source programs to visualise the replay. Any hackers, siege criefers etc would be caught, I’m sure.

But this is children game rated for ages 12+. Better would be 16+ for WvW. Even adults rage quit there, or come give back after CJ – not forget whisper insults. Not a children game, if you ask me.

I would like to know what skills can be casted/used simultaneously. I usually wait until casting ends before using next skill or util. Too many times meteor shower is self-interrupted, for example.

For so many times I have been frustated to ele – and staff ele in wvw. It is incredible squishy compared to equally squishy necro and mesmer (light armors). Staff ele is worse of them because there seems to be no change to make damage to enemies before staff ele goes down. Today in 4 different incident (all 1v1) very low ranked enemies killed my ele too easily. Even SM’s veteran scout killed my ele before I could kill vet scout (switched back to gs+lb ranger and no problems of this magnitude).

I would like to see new elementalist profession. Two weapon sets; mixed but meaningful weapon skill sets. E.g., skills 4 and 5: big water and meteor shower, for wvw zerg purposes. Fire-only, water-only etc may not be the best for casual players.

I’m in GH too.

I want play in blob with our players but we are so outnumbered that I have had 3 vs me fights within blob fights. Mostly our blob is so small that our players are not able to help me. Would be nice if there would be automatic mechanism to protect less skilled players. Now less skilled vanilla ranger seems to be target number one, while they should attack most skilled player first.

New game mode would be much better idea. Match could start 20.00 and end 22.00. Best players would get lot’s of gold, legendary weapons, super cool armors and stuff.

Who would be best players? Why this much rewards…. Simple reward track for legendary weapon would be nice; play months and have change to select legendary. Multiple simultaneous reward tracks would be another good thing.

What if we get a new map...

Some months ago Gunnar’s Hold created community guild CC for cross-map communication. It has worked ok without any extra features.

Don’t write tags because they are not natural. Just write “home garri” or “dl bl bay” or “we capping dl bl bay, need help”. Write longer if not used to short versions.

My suggestion: Team chat could work when the player is in pve/spvp side. GH community guild chat can reach players not in wvw, and that has been useful in important calls and in general whining about the server situation.

I now run staff ele with the given traits. Trait which maintains signet’s passive effect is very useful.

Two utils are important: lightning flash and fiery greatsword. In WvW, they are life-savers; I don’t use them to move around, I use them only to escape.

Staff and trinkets are cavalier/knight. Two armors which can be swapped:

(1) Cavalier armor with traveler runes. I use signet of earth for extra toughness.
(2) Zerk armor with strength runes. I use signet of air for +25% speed.

Full cavalier tolerate damage bursts. Typical case is that I use meteor shower back at our zerg and enemy thief attacks. Instead of waypointing, I’m able to escape to our zerg, and beyond.

Zerk armor + strength runes gives 17+ stack of might. Bloodlust sigil gives extra damage too. This is what I played hours today and it was ok damagewise. Some random 1v1 when defending our keep were ok until I escaped (lightning flash + fiery gs). Full zerk is too squishy; this is good balance.

D/D a viable set for WvW/general PvE?

Most build threads repeat the message about how this and that build comes unplayable by simple nerf or so. Must be valid when highly skilled players play against other highly skilled players.

What are easy to use builds for average WvW player? And what are 2 or 3 most useful rotations (loosely speaking).

How to solo camps? Videos? Tried to cap tier 0 camp with d/d but no way. I play vanilla ele, no HoT. Our players in wvw seems not like to help and guide. E.g., thief is easy: d/p 5 1 1 1 5 1 1 1 – start from vet scouts.

I would like to play all my chars equally but I don’t like being an easy target with low damage and squishy armor. I play vanilla ele.

How a thief can be perma-invisible while hitting with weapons? Not an april fool’s joke but true case in EotM.

What are those invisible damages I get in wvw? I take 5k health skill, but die after 300 condi damage (combat log).

Anet could reorganize the build at every update; and update daily, making 3rd party software to stay behind.

Would be nice if the price would drop so that I can buy at least 2 sets of trinkets for every char. Let me see: 2 sets for power – full zerk and some tanky; 1 set for condi maybe enough.

Amount of laurels may be bigger issue than ectos.

Just before alpine maps came back. I was able to waypoint to enemy air keep. Anet fixed that bug but did they fix only air keep?

Is there any evidence of the server lag?

I see some problems:
-Network connection has lag – web has only speedtests but not lag tests
-When network connection has a lag (or so), Windows starts using disk extensively, for some unknown reason
-When disk is used, it shows as freezes/lags – disk is used by the game itself, by Windows, and Windows service processed (counted 10+ so far)

The game loads enemy armor data etc from disk. I use standard enemy models, and char quality settings are lowest, but still disk goes on when enemy zerg appears. Strange. My suggestion is to tie the game’s (or Windows’) disk loader to e.g. audio system and precisely control the disk load rate – like 50% instead of 100%.

Many Windows processes uses disk at 100% and runs when they want. Game playing is nightmare because frame rate may drop to 1 fps. Pro audio recording is no no. If I leave keyboard and mouse untouched for few mins, the disk starts going mad – it is a windows process, not a virus like microsoft people think.

Yeah, GW2 is realtime software, and it is very challenging to code realtime systems. Windows clearly is not designed for realtime because its 10+ processes start using disk at 100% at any unwanted time. Processes which use disk are easy to see, but Windows may have more non-obvious processes which cause lag.

As noob player, I wish more for shared protections etc when I’m with our best players. My chars have been ganked 1v1 within 10v10 or bigger zerg fights – I don’t want 1v1 fights at all, not with their best players.

Started playing revenant zerk/hammer. What a joy as I’m noob player, previously easy target. Jumped on the spawn campers corpses. Then was number 1 target for them – he he. These top-skilled players came for easy kills, but leaved as corpses.

Now I know why people like to play high damage builds. Easy winning. No average player like to play profs/builds which require top-skilled player to work.

d/p vs s/p (5 1 1 1 5 1 1 1…): dagger 1 hits 2 targets while sword 1 hits 3 targets. Sword has 1/2 sec cast times.

I want use different key bindings for different characters/professions. Now we have only one key binding table which is not per character.

I actually want more: key bindings per weapon set. E.g., thief’s SB 5 to game-mouse button, but D/P 5 would be at 5.

All graphics improvements can be done to GW2. Re-modeling maps is easier than making completely new and different maps.

Black Desert quality character models would be nice.

Armors/clothes that fits on. Most gw2 clothes are “fat” because otherwise they would clip. There are software which can make that quality clothes.

Armor pieces from different sets does not look nice. Clipping between pieces. Color differences when they use the same dye.

I hate these fights against random pugs. Go for that player who regularly solo roam and ganks anyone; like warrior 1 vs 3, or daredevil/staff 1 vs 5.

I don’t duel but I go and test solo roamers in our corner. Most probably they are good players and I know the end before I start. I don’t bow.

How not be able to kill? Two attacks and my thief went down so easily. I had used shadowstep for condi cleanse and heal in the first attack. There was like 7 different condis; a row.

Our blob was with cata next to bay wall. I did not chase. I just swung the dagger; could not chase because thief was invisible when near us.

I have got both of these issues. Maybe started after 64bit client. Long lag spikes from 5 sec to 30+ seconds, really annoying. At the same time TS works ok, so it is an Anet issue.

People, like refered above, qq for reason. I see how thieves take down in split second while players cannot even dodge (daze?). I see how 5+ man blob chases 1 thief for minutes.

At least, I want longer fights because I want learn to play – nothing to learn if I just have to use wp and run back. I don’t want waste playtime for chasing thieves or mesmers.

The game is rated 12+. Is WvW good place for a child to play? Specially if adults qq that much. Or if our skilled adult players go down in two seconds. For children (and for average adult players), should WvW have “easy” play mode – e.g., more built-in toughness/vitality, reduced interrupt cooldowns, etc – for example.

Has happened to me twice because veteran cabalists pulls. In DBL camp and in Jerrifer lord room slope, I was thrown directly up air – like in the video.

Combat log is too short. Too many times I have to wp to safety to check combat log, otherwise it is filled with new combat data. Even a single fight can fill up the combat log, specially if condi builds are involved.

I also suggest “save combat log to file” key. The combat log would be saved to a numbered text file – numbered like screenshot files are now.

Does sword hit hardest? Backstab of dagger hits hard. Can you explain the rotation with s/p?

What about casting times: dagger 1 seems to have no casting time, but sword 1 has. This was the reason why I switched from sword to dagger.

6. I go help, but it turns to be a duel: enemy kills me and our player does not defend me, nor revive later. More our players join, and don’t revive either. I respawn and start shooting with nearest cannon, or build a ballista.

7. I wait until enemy stomps our player. Then enemy kills and stomps me too.

At day and evening time our server is Outnumbered. We get points only by night capping. With reduced points at night, we would have no changes. We would need a wvw metaserver which would bring more players to our team at day/evening.

Metaserver would be better than to limit access to wvw maps, as suggested by someone above. All maps equally full.

DEVS ARE WORKING ON WRONG THINGS!!

Here are issues that should be fixed:

(1) Power-creep in WvW. Reduce damage of high power skills, or give toughness a meaning. Too often my char is down so quickly – e.g, 2x Vault is 15k. My chars goes down fast even with cavalier ascended trinkets. I like longer fights.

(2) Difficulty levels in WvW. Do understand that not every player cannot be and not want be the best player in WvW. Even when run in zerg or small group, the combat ends up 1v1 with skilled player. Roamers are typically more skilled players; e.g., makes no sense to escort dollies because only our high skilled players can do that. And then there are spawn-campers…

(3) Give full protection to char who uses AC, cannon, mortar; as long as siege is not destroyed. Specially cannon user is dead in a second which is reason I don’t use cannons.

Uh oh. Hard to answer that poll.

(1) Cross-map chat channel.

(2) Scoring balanced with respect to how many people play in teams at particular moments.

Btw, for outnumbered teams, night capping may be the only hope to get more points. Reducing points at night just kills every hope. They don’t get enough points at day/evening, and they would get reduced points at night.

When team is 90% of time outnumbered, score balancing does not help. When team owns nothing most of the day, they don’t get points at all. Metaserver for wvw would help.

Creating good looking character in any game is pretty hard, when there is a few tens parameters. Why so many games think player is able to become a master of character sculpting when they start playing the game first time?

One of the reasons I don’t play ESO is because my char looks so bad and old.

Total makeover kit is very nice, but because one preset was nice enough, I don’t have to use the kit.
