I don’t have much time play of this, in fact this was my first event, or at least the first one i knew what i was doing and got all the achieves, and i’m a pve only player (so far pretty much open world type) so yeah, probably i shouldn’t even be concerned about this but…

I got the Exotic backpiece blades, and enough blade items to upgrade it and to get the Recipe from the 3g npc, but i didn’t bother with the other items yet. The thing is i got 0 crafting skills, but i was told a few times that i should be able to upgrade the item to Ascended later if i have all the items, even after the event ends.*

*tl;dr I would like to start working on one of those skills, so which one would be the cheapest and which one would be the most useful (be it to get profit from crafting stuff later on, to craft items i will need, or for similar situations in future events)?

I’m asking you guys this bec you certainly know more about this than me and probably have a good idea about which would be the best option for me. Idk which more info i should add as i’m not sure about what a max lvl craft skill is able to craft of ‘important’ stuff, but i guess that probably armorsmith would be the answer bec of ascended gear? but should be more expensive; i would like some 20bags (i guess that would be some free exp and cheaper than buying from tp) for my main and 2 other lv80 chars (as well as a lowbie that i use as storage and i may level one more char to 80), so perhaps leatherworker would be the best one based on price/utility ratio for me? What do you guys think?

Some ppl say that you may not get it if you get downed, so avoid taking damage at all. As for the invisible attacks i didn’t check the log but i got them, during the last phase of the battle, when the 3 colored holograms are gone. In my case i got 3 strikes that really hurted, and shortly after i died – happened twice.

I’m not sure, and i would like if anyone could confirm it, but i think that may be the holograms ’’charge’’ attack that happens once in a while, and that i may not be able to see it because of the lag..because i’m almost sure that once, with other character, i managed to see some symbol above his head right before that lighting strike or whatever it is.

Also, i’m curious, but being hit by any of these avoid the achievement to be done?
- Stepping on the orange marks alone (that signal the incoming laser)
- The Scarlet Briar(?), that mob that goes around launching bombs and air barriers that do damage
- The knockback effect from not having the right color buff (I assume that’s why i get knocked back at least)
Anyone could clarify me this?

It is safe to assume you can upgrade it later. The only thing that will likely go is the vendor with the gift of blades, but u can also buy that from the Mystic Forge vendor anyway.

Being kinda new it is hard to get gold (i’m just starting to get into all the dungeons/fractals stuff) so it feels a waste and angers me when i think that i could have messed up trying to get all the items without having the skill at 500 lol. Thanks :p i will get the recipe from the vendor and keep farming gold/mats so i can work on one of my skills later.

They won’t. Why would they anyway?

I just tried and failed. I’m not sure if i was downed or not, may be because of that. By the way you can’t afk, as there isn’t a safe spot, unless if you mean not move at all and keeping a eye on your character for 15-30min till the hologram goes down. Also, are you supposed to get a medal from killing it? Because i didn’t, not even bronze, but i did get to loot the chest..

You have to actually participate to get credit.

That means that you get a medal?
Tried again, just attacked the boss at first when the 3 circles are easily avaliable and then once more later because they popped next to each other; didn’t get the medal, got the loot once more, and managed to get the achievement as well. Also i got downed 2 or 3 times but didn’t die, neither did my pet.

Well that’s strange that you got loot but no medal. Since you mentioned your pet, I’m pretty sure it was the reason you didn’t get it last time.

That’s my point, because makes it twice now that i managed to loot the boss without getting the medal, and this last time i even got the achiev.

Only the Tricks one is missing for me :x Regarding the pet that can’t be the case since i did it with Mesmer before that (without using illusions); and i was thinking that the pet would screw it for me but it didn’t, gladly! May be luck.

I only have this achievement missing, is there any reason why i should get it?

That aside, what exactly is the laser or scorch marks? Can i step on the orange stuff as long as the ultraviolet ray that comes afterwards doesn’t hit me? I may be messing up without knowing, because i just did it and only got hit by those thunders that come from nowhere (during the final phase) which you can’t avoid and make you go into a downed state. Those must be avoided as well?

Actually i have a small problem, i have the exotic blades backpiece, and the recipe (or rather the items to get it) needed to upgrade it to ascended, half of the items needed to change it’s color, but i got 0 crafting skills. Is it safe to assume that i will be able to upgrade them anytime later or it may not work? Lacking experience and playtime on this game is not like i could rush a skill to 500 till the end of the event (i don’t have gold for such).

‘Escort the artillery company to the battleground’. After the veteran spider the company stops before a bridge and the mission doesn’t continue; i tried to talk with all the npc’s, went around all that part of the map (left, right, above and bellow the bridge) but nothing happens. As it seems this isn’t the first or second time that people have trouble with this step of the main story. I would appreciate if it could get fixed.

And regarding the gift of blades recipe, should i try and get it from the npc before the event ends? Someone mentioned it to be cheaper but i’m not sure, and i don’t have craft skills so it will take me a while to get one to 500

So i got those blades at exotic level, as needed for the achievement, but if i try to equip it it will ask me to choose which stats i want, which i can’t change later. If i equip them now, can i still upgrade them to Ascended later on? and if i wanted them with Ascend tier do i have to use the mystic forge before this event ends or i can do it anytime afterwards?

Ofc it is possible…do not ask me how. I can only speak for my server, i’ve done it twice and the second time was noticeable better.
