Combat, Dynamic Events... what's the point if they're easy mode?

I spoke a little about how to fix the communication in combat here:

Many games enable users to turn off spell graphics because it helps from a machine performance standpoint and it makes it easier to see what is actually going on in combat. I don’t particularly know much about the dragon fights or the other topics the original poster talked about but I agree with the idea of limiting the “noise” on the screen to enable us to make better decisions during fights.

Well first of all, Hero, I do not agree with you. The system is brilliant and I’m glad Anet took the chances they did. We got a superior product. The system works fine and it honestly sounds like you’re having some trouble adapting to it. That’s understandable but I suggest taking some more time to think critically about the issues before coming here and saying things like all you hear is negative stuff because it’s clearly not true.

Cluster Bomb (Shortbow “2”)
Can the projectile for this attack be made non-collusive, i.e. no geometry and/or collision detail? It’s colliding with other attacks in the air and prematurely detonating. It also causes the next time you hit “3” to fire another Cluster Bomb, creating a cycle of wasted Initiative unless you stop attacking for a second or two.
Disabling Shot (Shortbow “3”)
The leap backwards often doesn’t happen. I make sure I don’t have my back to a wall but it could be that if you cannot meet the minimum distance of the leap for whatever reason you just Shadowstep you to your current location.

It would be very helpful if we could disable ability graphics. In large groups I feel like it’s sometimes a hindrance trying to decipher what is going on due to the sheer amount of abilities happening. For instance, stunning can be very important in order to keep enemies from casting particularly malevolent abilities but sometimes I can’t see the enemy through all the graphics to properly time my stuns. Another example can be seen in the red circles on the ground that indicate an enemies aoe attack. They are very hard to delineate from the rest of the battle sometimes.
