I completely disagree. I’ve had a complete blast with this update! One of the most fun for me so far, though I’ve enjoyed all of them.
Sea of Sorrows
I agree with OP. Good job, ANet! I’m excited about this!
Sea of Sorrows
I have to agree with OP. After 2.5 hours of trying (and never succeeding) to kill this boss with a group which had no issues otherwise, I’m completely sick of this.

Hello! My in game name is Elvendir, and I am one of the council members for the guild Requiem of Midnight on Ehmry Bay.
We are a fairly large guild (153 members at the moment) so at least a few people are online pretty much any time of the day or night, though I think we have the most players online in the evening, EST.
We are looking for both casual and hard core players who want to be a part of our community. We have nearly all of the permanent guild upgrades, and are working on the last of those. We still have constant buffs though, and will work towards having all of the constant buffs as much as possible as soon as we finish the permanent ones.
A few random, interesting facts about our guild:
- We’ve been around since the first beta weekend
- We’ve grown consistently since the game started
- We have at least 5 couples who play together in our guild, including me and my wife.
- We use Mumble for voice communication, though it is not required.
- We still have openings for leadership positions for those interested
For anyone interested, feel free to reply with questions or apply on our website at http://requiemofmidnight.com

Hello!
I’d like to invite you to our guild, Requiem of Midnight, on Ehmry Bay. We’re a semi-large guild with about 130 members right now, which means at least a few people are almost always online. Funnest online group I’ve been a part of! Fairly casual, but we’ve got some very skilled players as well who are fairly hard core. So I guess it’s semi-hardcore, but always relaxed. haha
My wife and I also play together, and the original founders were two couples who played together. Many of us (myself and the original founders included) are in EST, though we do have people from quite a few places around the world.
We would love to have you! And have quite a few experts who’d be glad to answer as many questions as you can think of!
Many of us use Mumble for voice chat, but it’s not required. Only thing “required” is that you represent the guild all the time. Exceptions can be made if needed though.
Sea of Sorrows
I agree with this list. I’d especially like the ability to see member’s last online time in the guild roster.

I know 4 people who play this game, and 2 are using 32-bit Windows 7, the others (includes myself) are using 64-bit Windows 7. The two running 32-bit Windows 7 experience crashes quite frequently (anywhere from an hour to only a few minutes if changing maps a lot), while those with 64-bit do not experience them hardly ever.

I hope what Shard said is true! I’m very much looking forward to this beinkittenlemented!

Would also love a Linux client. And know for a fact that my dad would buy and play the game if there was one.

I would really like this. I don’t like having to hold down my right mouse button all the time. And many people (my wife for example) that could be more skilled than they are are less skilled because they don’t even try to play that way — they just move around with and only turn the camera when necessary. I think defaulting to a free look mode similar to Oblivion/Skyrim would be much better personally.

Ah. Well, that at least explains it — I didn’t know about the 10% fee when the item sells. And that is pretty much exactly what I’m seeing.
Just odd — I guess it takes money out of the economy to prevent inflation. It just makes it that much more difficult to calculate what would actually bring a profit.
Sea of Sorrows
So someone else selling for less makes mine sell for less?
Sea of Sorrows
So, I crafted an 18 slot bag. It cost me roughly 2 gold, 2 silver. The lowest seller was selling for 2 gold 20 silver, 98 copper so I put mine on sale for 2 gold, 20 silver, and 97 copper. A few hours later, I checked my transactions, and it had sold, but I only got 2 gold, 1 silver, and a few copper. And it wasn’t the posting cost either, because that came out if my inventory the instant I put it up. I tried it again with the same results. So instead of a profit, I made a significant loss from the almost 12 silver listing fee. No big deal if I’d done it myself, but I shouldn’t have got less money than I posted it for.
tl;dr: I listed an item for something and someone apparently bought it for less than I listed it for, making me loose money.

First of all, being downed is supposed to mean that you’ll likely die without help. So the skills for all classes are deliberately not very powerful. Think of them more as ways to possibly help your allies save you, and they become a lot more useful.
I play an elementalist and I actually think their downed skills are some of the best.
All of them have the basic attack and heal, as you mentioned. So it’s mainly 2 and 3 that vary. The ability to immobilize a foe (2), combined with the ability to run away from them (3) is actually quite nice. While #2 does usually seem to be fairly un-helpful, like you said, it can be helpful at times. Especially if the mob is not attacking you, you can often use it to save your friend’s life by keeping it off him, enabling him to kill it and revive you. Or you can use it for a little head-start for getting away with #3.
- is also helpful for getting to a place where somebody can revive you more safely than in the middle of everything where you died.
It’s true that if you’re always playing solo, some of the other classes /might/ let you deal out a little more damage in order to save yourself, but not much. Mages tend to be a little squishy. I die constantly. lol.
