Recent patch said it fixed some of the crashes but apparently its not the case as i tried again today and still crashed :\

Uhm….after the Feb ones? No…mostly because the game doesnt work at all.

1st, wrong forum, 2nd, posting on the forum is useless, use the in-game report function is enough, because the devs are more likely to look at a ticket than trawling through forums.

Its not your problem, we will have to wait and see if ANet decides it will want to fix this problem. Which they most likely may not bother with mind you since they have their hands full trying to push out new content.

Id suggest just not playing or paying, go play something else until the next patch and try again.

Its plaguing me as well and i cant find anything wrong on my end so ive stopped and went on to WoT and gave them my money instead.

They sure made the game unplayable with the Feb patches.

Instead of crashing the odd player here and there on a blue moon. Now it crashes some players here and there every 5 minutes.

Client is broken. And they don’t really care because they didnt promise a stable game month after month, instead they shackled themselves to a promise to deliver new content every month.

This problem can only be fixed by ANet, send a ticket from their support site.

You might want to repair your installation. It looks corrupt.

Right click ur GW2 shortcut, select Properties.

In the Path box is the link to the actual GW2.exe, at the end of that Path sentence add a -repair to it.

Save and close then run it again.

No luck so far on any methods ive tried.

Okay, just played for about 2 hours with Vista compatibility. it still crashed after 2 hours though.

Repair doesnt fix anything for me though.

I tried running in compatibility for Win XP SP3, no luck…ill be trying with Vista SP2 and update u guys on how long it runs.

Sent a ticket to ANet with my Log and GameTest files. Came back with the generic response of check driver yadda yadda that i already tried before i even asked.

I think there may be no fix on our end.

If the graphics card is overclocked, then I would set it back to normal clocks and voltages.

Yes, took the video card back to the store, they did a 24h stress test and it turned out fine.

If im buying a new card, what whould you recommend? AMD?

If the stress test turned out fine, and you have no problems with any other game except GW2, then there is no point wasting your money on a new card.

Because even if u did, the same thing will happen.

Almost 3 weeks of playing Crash Wars 2. No fixes over 3 patches, and no solutions.

No one there seems to care to help or answer any of the other crash threads.

Im going to post again because the patch did not fix the crashing, although now it seems i can play longer than 5 minutes…along the lines of around 10 minutes between each crash.

Would have been a lot better if the colors were not merely varied shades of an already established color, because theres no point when from far they are neither outstanding nor immediately distinguishable from non premium colors.

Maybe in the next patch it would be nice to see you make striking additions, how about stuff like Two-Toned Hair Colors, or Flaming Hairs, or stuff like that?

Its not crying about not having it included in the game. Its crying about putting it in the game, excluding them from it, and then taunting them by dangling it on an unreachable meathook.

Same mate, it started on the 13 Feb patch for me, but got worse on the 21 Feb patch to the point where it would crash about 5 minutes of loading into the map.

None that im aware of save buying a new computer, because apparently it works on some combinations of hardware but doesnt on the rest.

And the weird thing is the crashes are all due to coding and animations.

-100. Hard work? They added new content sure. Its not bad.

But adding stuff is hard work? No.

Fixing broken stuff is even harder work and they have been skimping on that aspect forever.

Bugs are still rampant but that one is understandable.

However the code of the game itself is broken in areas here and there causing lags and DC for others, and for me and some, its constant crashing due to various reasons, personally mine being that the client is trying to do an animation that does not exist. These are the serious cases that warrant players boycotting gems.

None of it worked. Its just the coding team being bad at their jobs.

Ive had it UP TO HERE. Crashes have been starting since the last 2 patches and ITS STILL NOT FIXED!

Now the question that begs asking is, what material now backs the current LA currency system? The influence of the pirates that control trade is certainly not enough, just as a central bank in our world cannot guarantee a transaction’s worth without the Gold in its vaults.

Okay, i just had to bring this topic up because i was starting to wonder about it.

Currency from Platinum being the standard unit downgraded to Gold as the standard unit is weird

It makes no sense that the currency in the world of Guild Wars 2 has over the span of 250 years become so deflated because of the loss of Xunlai trade. On the contrary, the lack of sought after commodities should have caused a marked inflation in prices instead.

The whole idea that savings from the Xunlai equivalent of a Wall Street crash would lead to the loss of all the platinum and gold based currency stored in the system is bollocks. It may have deflated the value of platinum. BUT when put into account with the previous point, there should have not been much change in the value of Platinum and gold.

Furthermore, the loss of the platinum and gold in the Xunlai system does not mean the central banks (or its equivalent in Tyria) are unable to mint new ones as it is obvious both sources of metal are in abundant supply, and even more than 250 years ago as it was not possible to acquire the metals on such a large scale then.

I am pretty sure that by right the state of affairs should have been:
-The continued use of Platinum backed currency as the main trade unit, and Gold as a sub-denomination.
-The creation of another set of higher denominations (in this case maybe Mithril?) due to rising inflation from the lack of trade goods from Cantha and Elona versus the increased proliferation of uncovered and acquired ore deposits.

Currency IMHO should have stretched upwards not down.

No response over multiple threads of the same nature. Id suggest everyone stops buying gems and tells everyone they know not to buy any gems as well until this problem is fixed.

Thats not what he is asking, he’s looking for color combinations for individual parts of the armor pieces.

I’d go with Abyss/Harvest Gold, or Celestial and any bright Blue, two color scheme. Anything more than three colors is outright garish.

Because it was directly hurting players who were taking part in world vs. world as it’s intended. Server cooperation is supposed to be about forming alliances within the rule set of world vs. world, not defeating the entire purpose of world vs. world and ignoring its mechanics.

If its an available option even if unintended, then there is nothing wrong with it. If by your logic that players who do not take part in attacking enemy servers en masse and holding PPT giving areas are against the rules, then please explain the presence of a Jump Puzzle in every map in the first place.

Havent been able to do anything except try and finish my dailies for the day ASAP, while crashing about 12 times in the span of 1 hour.

Looks like multiple animation/rigging problems for me and undouble. And the game trying to render missing models for you Grimm, plus collision detection is not working for you as well.

I play to split heads and I target SoR. Honestly, a perfect outcome for me would be to so utterly thrash SoR for a period of weeks and months, that you would lose most of your players and plummet down to T6 or so. Basically, for your server to be completely dismantled. I can hope, can’t I?

Honestly when dealing with Macs, dont waste your money and time except going for the best. I’d recommend at the minimum the 15 inch Macbook Pro, and take every single upgrade and swap out that Apple offers. That way, it will last at the minimum the next 4 years worth of gaming power.

And of course, make sure you bootcamp Windows 7, because you want to run games on that instead.

There is in no way that my machine is incapable of running it at maximum settings and more. I have no issues on any other game.

GW2 has been crashing at random every few minutes of gameplay ever since the last 2few patches or so at 13 Feb until now. And only got worse on the 21 Feb patch.

I have never been so agitated by technical faults in a game because there has never been one MMO so glaringly broken. Hell i’m even willing to let slide the faults in game mechanics but THIS, THIS is one thing i am not content to let go of.

Hah! I should be expecting to be guaranteed at least 5 BoHs and a Rare grade item for every enemy player we kill while being outmanned.

Then what “incentives” do you propose? How many people really play WvW just for any material incentive that they could get more easily in PvE, except BoH?

Its a typical mentality of “lets just throw more money at it and it will work” instead of fixing it so it engages more people.

As it is, everyone on a red and blue server know they barely have any fighting chance and either jump ship onto greens or just avoid it totally exacerbating the situation. Much less talk about trying to reap the incentives of being outnumbered.

Punishing large pop servers so harshly is not the answer.

What makes you think a Veteran NPCs could give any advantage to a smaller server? If anything we all know that one-on-one they can’t match a human player. What it does is give whatever little human players small pop servers have, a fighting chance that is FAIR for both sides.

As mentioned, buffing the smaller server does not work because it balances out group combat but gives an advantage to the smaller server on 1v1, not doing anything allows the larger population server to steamroll through everything despite the smaller server putting an effort (on the part of dedicated guilds of course) to try and compete but they do not have a chance.

MOBA style balancing IMHO is the fairest possible way to balance it out and still reward players on both sides at a personal level if they put in the effort to do something useful.

I was reading some other threads and something popped in my head.

Instead of bothering about using outmanned or some other balancing mechanic that would probably make things even more imbalanced, i was thinking about using population caps to limit the number of people that can enter into a particular W3 map.

Maybe limit it to 1.5x or 2x the number of players on the server with the smallest presence?

That’s been suggested several times before, and in my opinion it’s a horrible idea. A certain way to kill a game is to prevent people who want to play it from being able to play it. It is often the case that a losing server ends up with rather few players on the map toward the end of the week, and constricting the other two servers based on that level is just crazy.

What if we tried the opposite and fill the map with Veteran npc characters that roam the map and peg their population to match the highest populated server, and have them attack objectives at intervals like what MOBAs do?
