Does Amazon later ship you the box as well?
I assume be bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Guild-Wars-Heart-Thorns-Online/dp/B00ZSF6ZAG/ref=sr_1_5?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1435217348&sr=1-5&keywords=guild+wars+2+heart+of+thorns&tag=donations09-20
And no, they don’t. You just get the serial code.
Funny thing, though. That is being sold officially via Amazon by NCSoft. Didn’t one of the Anet people post a big hoopla that the pre-order was only through Anet? Or has that warning from Anet now ended?
Well that sucks. If Amazon is offering the exact same thing as the ANet website what’s the frigging point of buying from them?
1 cent cheaper but if anything happens I can’t get a refund.
Does Amazon later ship you the box as well?
Have any Americans found a copy at GameStop? On reddit some EU players have found theirs, but so far I’m having no luck on Amazon.com or Gamestop.com.
So far the only websites to have a listing at all are Amazon.de and Amazon.uk.
So many blind people around the community that have no marketing studies, just “eat” what they get like kids!Makes me “bleach” over…And this is why the world breaks down with this type of people…
Take a chill pill
He has a point. Originally people were screaming that there should rightfully be a character slot as standard issue in the expansion.
But then ANet paid lip service and just made the bare minimum by offering that slot for pre-purchase only, and everyone lapped it up as nectar despite the move having accomplished nothing that was originally asked for.
Actually, it makes more sense to offer the extra slot only on pre-purchases.
They benefit from us pre-purchasing. We have almost no benefit. So it’s only fair to reward people for pre-purchasing.
They could have gone a better route. Exclusive titles, exclusive finishers, exclusive armor pieces.
Namely things that are cosmetic.
I was already pretty kittened that you were already kitten in the past when you had to pay money to actually have usable bank storage but I let it slide. When EotN was released as an expansion for GW1 with no extra slots, people let it slide because at least it wasn’t priced like the other standalone campaigns.
But this is different, character slots are supposed to be standard and part of a game packaged and sold in the same price tag as a full blown standalone, whether or not if it is just an expansion.
Based on the way the extra slots are handled, I’m assuming this is the case, but to be sure, if I pre-purchase a physical copy, then upgrade it, I will still get the second character slot, yes?
I have a feeling there isn’t such a thing as pre-purchasing a physical copy.
Pre-order yes, but having the pre-purchase bundled character slot is a no.
If they had partnered with retailers that did International shipping for the boxed copy, I would have pre-purchased it.
But after realizing there won’t be any boxed copies until the release date, I still won’t be bothering with the pre-purchase.
I finished Confinement already and wanted to do Resealing the Bloody Prince.
But the game tells me “Content is Temporarily Disabled”. I already have the Candy Corn Mini from last year.
What now?
Just fix the god awful targeting that makes your character jump EVERYWHERE but where you aim.
It will ALWAYS overshoot your intended jump locations, and if you compensate for the jump by rearing back abit, you just fail the jump instead.
Hi, this is the crash log from my game, can anyone please tell me whats the issue here? I keep crashing when i log into the game after 3-5 minutes.

Personally, there is no reason to play the normal mode, just stick to Infantile.
If you want BB’s, just do W1 daily.
Then don’t play, just quit man. Take your money and plonk it on a good old copy of Skyrim on Steam.

Have to say that anything regarding hitboxes like landing on an area, getting hit or hitting something, is an inherent flaw in the game’s engine and probably could never be fixed without reworking a huge chunk of the game.
Its a twitch based game, without the twitch based mechanics or engine support.

You know the content is no fun anymore when you go to any server and see a whole hoard attempting it at release, and then check back and guest on 2 worlds and find it a literal ghost town a couple of hours later.

This kittening water in W2 just made me rage quit the game.
Absolutely annoying. Wish I didn’t pay the gems for that stupid coin.
If you lived in a place with consumer protection, why not try to lodge a complaint and have the product returned and get a refund?
So it seems ANet itself is already out of touch with whakittens player base wanted.
Oh well, the game survived longer than it was supposed to. Time to put the final nail in the coffin.
Its here for the month, then its gone.
Nope, its not going to stay. At all. Period.
And even if it was account bound, why would he even, for all the sanity of a normal person, want to give to an alt and make it wasted gear since alts will never be used in this game.
Guys, what do you expect? You really think the people that we all knew and loved that made up the original ArenaNet are actually still in the company doing all the LS content?
They all left ages ago, except some of the art guys i guess….Most of the people left in “Arenanet” are nobodies.
You have to be realistic and lower your expectations.
Yeap, the design of SAB world 2 is pretty bad. Atrocious i’d say, nowhere near the level of a college programming team.
However, whose fault is it?
Isn’t it the players who praised the developers during the Apr release and inflated their egos? When we should be nitpicking on every single flaw so that they would not rest on their laurels?
Not sure if this suggestion has been up before.
But I would like to throw out a small suggestion in regards to purchasing from any vendor, and when consuming stackable consumables.
Is it not possible to create a right click option when purchasing an item from a vendor that would go “Purchase in Bulk” and that creates another window where u can use a slider or enter the number of items of that type you wish to buy, and it would show you the cost just below it before you hit the purchase button.
Another thing id like to put out is if its possible for stackable consumables like Karma jugs and alchohol to have a mass consume option in their right click. So that if i have a stack of lets say Karma Jugs, i can just right click and press “Consume Stack”, and the whole stack would be used instantly, while double clicking the icon would continue being used for consuming singly.
Want me to teach you guys a trick i learned from someone else?
Just load up with tons of long lasting CC with reduced cooldowns, one weapon set with plenty of CC on it and the lowest dmg possible, and a second weapon set for burst dmg.
What you do is use the first CC weapon set and keep the first Plunderer CC-locked as much as possible until you hit the 5.30 mark, then u can start killing it. After it hits the 5.30 mark, nothing else but left side plunderers will spawn, making everything much easier.
I am pretty sure at the current state of things, if you wish to play on both a European server and a NA server, you will need 2 different accounts. Even guesting and interaction is not allowed between the two regions.
So I’ll have to buy the game again?
Unfortunately yes.
120 chests, 1 GS skin

96 chests, 0 skins.
I have gone thru 84 chests, zero skins
Sometimes the odds aren’t in our favor lol
We’re all gambling addicts anyway when we bought the game, its part and parcel.

Creatures u pick up are considered Bundles, and Bundles scale to the size of your individual character.
The only other profession that uses a rifle is the warrior, and they indeed use them like a rifle.
Range all round is 1200, with skill 3 being a rapid fire attack similar to assault rifles, skills 2 and 4 does cripple and cracked conditions similar to precision shots at weakspots, and skill 1 bleeds.
All round the Warrior handles the Rifle true to its namesake.
Just avoid making an Engineer,Ranger or a Necromancer. Thats all.
GW2 also copies EVE Online.
I mean, just look at that market place!
No wait, thats wrong. There isnt a single MMO in the market that shares any aspect of EVE’s economy and trading system.
Guild Wars 2 may be trying to imitate it but its nowhere near the same thing.
Ive never been votekicked because i take 3 precautions.
-If ever possible, try to rush to be the first to start the dungeon.
-Unless necessary, its unnecessary to speak in a PUG at all.
-Let someone initiate any action when in the dungeon, if anything goes wrong, aint yer business.
No.
I am a mostly PvE player, who sometimes enjoy WvW. I would play sometimes PvP too, if it wasn’t separated. PvP feels like a different game, with different characters. Don’t want that to happen to WvW too.
Theyre talking about the balancing issues needing seperation, not the mechanics of the individual systems.
Facepalm.
Aren’t the majority of the interface text sections font-based already? I’d imagine the extra time to get a proper chinese option is down to translation, as they would want to translate all of the chat bubbles and text so you guys can get a better experience.
I support this though. You guys should be able to play in your native language, especially given that the first game supported it.
Its probably going to cost em to do translations again, which is not needed since if there is a S Chin interface alrdy, then its just a matter of the end user swapping out the chars for T Chin.
Its pretty much the same language anyway.
But you should definitely be allowed to solo the most basic activity in the game.
+1 for more In-Game English classes.
Remove the Group Event from the Skill Point west of Saliah Bayt in Malchor’s Leap.
It is stopping everyone from obtaining it fairly when playing alone.
And pro-tip, you never EVER need to buy a guide for any MMO EVER in your life.
Nowadays, information for anything can be found on the internet for free, easily accessible and constantly updated.
Guides you buy are expensive, and update rather slowly usually.
The only exception to this rule is buying the GUIDEBOOK for single player console games where the game never changes, and u can use it on your lap and even then its not even recommended because modern games are pretty brain-dead and requires little thinking, and the info can still easily be found on the net.
Ye aint wrong in saying that OP, most of the time i just ignore several DE’s nowadays because most of them are pretty much done into oblivion whereby a regular one couldnt be done solo or at the very least, could only be done with a few specific gimmick builds/classes.
Doesnt help that no one really roams anywhere save the most updated area anymore, can say a significantly huge population dont leave LA at all.
They should create a checklist of login-able regions. So if i live in Singapore, and regularly travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, i can check both cities as registered locations, and my account can only be accessed by computers from those places.
Its not going to foil someone who knows every single detail about your life, but for the generic brute force hacker, its going to mess him up bad.
Long story short, over the past 2 months, i have had 3 attempts from a hacker to log into my account from Suzhou, China. In one case i changed my password as well just to be safe.
My point is, even if the hackers are not physically in china and are using proxies, it really goes to show that the location is a hotbed for security breaches either way. Could i please see security options in the future for Guild Wars 2 (or any MMO for that matter) that lets you register logins only from a specific country or province?
While i am sure there are some that do play while they travel, the locations are a handful, and most of us only play from where we live and around it. Locking logins to the area u are in significantly reduces the risks of such attempts significantly. Of course, it can be optional to those who do not like the hassle.
Hell. the FPS issue is nothing.
Have you ever tried being on the short end of the stick where the game either doesnt start at all or it crashes every 5-10 minutes of gameplay?
Yea, FPS problems are the least of many others worries.
If a game crashes on you every 5 minutes, then the logical thing to do is fix your system. Especially considering my rig is ancient and runs the game perfectly well. Ive had a grand total of 2 crashes, which were in the first two days of ownership. Since setting the games compatabilty options correctly it had never crashed.
Instead of blaming the game, sort out your system.
@OP a lot of the lag is due to other players not the game. A fair number of poeple have really really crappy connections and insist on playing MMO games. It doesnt matter how good the games networking is when 30+ people with sub 1mb connections group up and start firing off effects. Everyone around them is going to suffer as the data gets choked on the sub standard connections.
When u have a system that plays Crysis 2 on max settings perfectly well. AND that Guild Wars 2 ran perfectly fine until the February series of patches, it is not my system.
I sent tickets to support and followed all their instructions to the letter and it never worked, when i asked for more help, they just stood silent because they cannot help. Even before that, i took all other SOP measures that everyone would know in the case of something like this to fix it. And it didnt work.
So take your bollocks elsewhere if you do not understand that things like this will happen.
Refund the game. It doesnt work at the moment.
Im just going to keep opening threads after every patch and post about how its still crashing for so many of us despite the patch notes saying it fixes this and that and yadda yadda.
And im going to keep telling everyone to refund/stop buying gems and so on and so forth if you are affected, until they fix this problem.
I’m sick and tired of having shelled out money for the game and supported the company by buying gems and being given a boot in the backside because of a broken chain of patches preventing me from using what i paid for. That they refuse to address with haste or any sense of urgency or take responsibility for it.
And the fact that they try to merge all the posts and threads into as little condensed pieces as possible to create an illusion that the severity of the situation is minimal.
Live Team, you guys should be ashamed of yourself. You took a perfectly good piece of work crafted over the span of 5 years and reduced it into a wreck in a matter of 5 months.

A month ago I upgraded XP to Win 8 because of the crashes I was having. Everything was running well for a month. Only had 4 or 5 crashes in that time. Then Anet brought out a new update and what happens. Crash! Crash! Crash! It doesn’t matter what I try the crashes are getting more frequent. Today I’ve had about 12. I tried all the fixes when I was running XP & nothing worked. I’ve tried with Win 8 & I’m thinking that probably I’d have to format & re-install everything. Anet doesn’t care cos they’re still getting people paying their money. The only way to make them take notice is to start posting the error reports on their FB page where everyone can see them.
You should do it, im pretty kitten already since i have sent tickets, and gotten back a generic reply that was of no use, and when i asked for further help from someone with better technical expertise, i did not get a reply for 3 days as of counting.
Simply put, if a reinstallation and updated drivers do not solve a problem, its already on ANet’s end…there really isnt a need to go further unless u have problems with other games as well.
