I agree with lisamee – a guild with organized events to progress towards getting a legendary would work much better. You know, you could have WvWvW events to work towards getting Badges of Honor, or Map Completion events, or an event to go open the Temple of Balthazar.

This would work much better because not only would everyone be making progress at the same time, but many of the things needed for a legendary are account bound, meaning that everyone would have to do those parts themselves anyway (such as getting the karma/fractal relics to buy Obsidian Shards).

Can they drop from any chest that drops level 80 gear, or are there specific ones?

What level quest do you have to beat before you’re officially in the order you joined (i.e. can buy the armor and stuff)?

Gotcha, so condition damage probably isn’t worth my time to mess around with?

I’m loving playing my engineer alt – it’s a lot of fun. I favor a double pistol weapon set. However, I’m noticing that my damage is pretty low. It’s a little disheartening watching a guardian or warrior 10 levels lower than you putting out twice as much damage.

Between my traits and my gear, I’ve been trying to evenly distribute between Cond Damage and Power. Power, so that my initial punch is heavier, and Cond Damage, because it would be stupid not to have some on a double pistol build.

However, I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong – should I be stacking all Cond Damage instead of power? How can I increase the damage I’m doing?

Can you sell Ascended quality items from FotM on the Trading Post?

Sorry, forgot to add that I’m talking about FotM. For example, if I’m on level 5, and I do one single fractal, three different times, will that advance me to the next level? Or do I have to do 3 fractals in a single run in order to advance?

I’ve been in this guild for around a week now, and I’ve loved every minute of it. This is definitely a different sort of guild – one where everyone cares about everyone else, and it’s more of a group of friends or a family than it is a random grouping of people. If you like tight-knit communities and friendly, caring people, this is a guild you should look more closely at.

Just wondering, if my main is already a level 400 weaponsmith, and I have an alt that requires the gift forged by a level 400 weaponsmith for the alt’s legendary, do I have to level the alt’s weaponsmithing too? or can I just use my main to craft the gift for him?

So what about hearts? Do they scale too?

Just looking for a guild home before free server transfers end. I’m currently a level 50 Guardian. Basically all I’m really looking for is a guild that has:

• Lots of active members (300 guild members doesn’t matter to me if only 3 are online ever with 2 of them not representing )

• Does PvP and PvE

• Is accepting of Casual players

• Is family friendly (I don’t like hearing the F word every other word…don’t mind some swearing but would prefer it if it’s not a constant thing on your Voip server)

I’ll come to any server, preferably in the U.S., but I can be persuaded otherwise.

So I made a guild on my current server, but never added any members (just reserving the name in case i wanted to get it going later). If I leave the guild to transfer servers, is the guild deleted so that I can create it on my new server?

So say I’m a level 50 in a level 20 area, and I do a dynamic event. Will the rewards in xp, karma, and coin be similar to what they’d be if i was in an area of my own level?

Since GW2 has gotten rid of the whole Heal-Tank-DPS trinity mechanic, I’m finding it fun to experiment with different variations of class combinations to see what works well.

So far my favorite combination of players has been

2 Guardians w/ Hammers in one of their slots
1 Necromancer
1 Elementalist, spending most of the time attuned to water
1 Ranger

I really liked this combination because the elementalist would put down an area heal, and then in the course of naturally attacking, the 2 guardians would end up slamming the ground with hammers, creating a sort-of ultra area heal class combo spell. The Necro was good for kiting enemies to get them alone, and the Ranger was an awesome last person because his bow attacks were able to do lots of condition damage. The necro and Ranger both had minions/pets that were able to provide extra targets to soak some of the damage off of everyone.

Anyway, that was my favorite combo. What are some good/fun combinations of classes you’ve found?

I have two characters I mainly play:

Level 40 Guardian
Level 15 Ranger

I plan on leveling both to 80 in the next couple months.

I’m looking for a guild that:

• Is friendly and mature
• Contains people who appreciate humor and are humorous, but know when to buckle down and be serious
• Is drama-free, and enforces this
• Is involved in all aspects of the game, including Dungeons, sPvP, and especially WvWvW
• Is a large guild, with at least 15 members online at all times, especially during the day (8 A.M. PST to 4 P.M. PST)
• Established and has players that intend to stick with the game for a while
• Has an active leadership system with opportunities for promotions
• Is respectful of members RL schedules/commitments
• I’m okay if your guild requires voice chat for Dungeons/WvWvW/sPvP Tournaments, but I’d prefer that always being on voice chat while I’m online in the game isn’t a requirement.

I’m willing to transfer to any server in the US, and might be persuaded to join a European server if you can convince me that I’m not going to run into super lag

I know these are pretty specific requirements, but since I’m looking for a long-term home that I intend to contribute to for a long time to come, I really don’t want to settle for anything less than my ideal guild. Feel free to post below, PM me here, or message me in-game.

Just wondering – if I’m in the US, how bad would the lag be if I played on a EU server? My schedule is different from the norm – I’m available and I play during the day, but I’m unavailable at night. I find that US servers tend to be pretty empty during the day, for the most part. I was thinking about switching to an EU server so that I can catch prime time over there.

Just wondering – is the lag going to be pretty bad if I do that? Also, is there a US server that anyone knows of that is more active during the day?

Just what the title says. I’m looking for a guild on Yak’s Bend that is friendly and casual. I’m okay with reasonable play requirements (you know, like, you have to log in once a month or every two weeks or something). This is my first MMO so other than that, I’m not really sure what I’m looking for in a guild – just trying to learn by experience.
