No, but….. If you level another character, and have them join the Priory, then you can buy the shield with that character, and then transmute the skin onto a white shield, making it account bound. Then you can transmute the skin onto your first character’s shield.

Not to mention that historically, it hasn’t been unusual for the patches to be released towards the end of the workday, PST. Don’t know why people are surprised that it wasn’t released as soon as the date switched in their timezone to the 28th.

-Updated skill “Elixir F”. This skill is mandatory on all Engineer skill bars, as a way of balancing out this clearly OP class. Elixir F does the following on consumption:

• Kills Character
• Destroys all armor currently worn by character.
• Charges any credit cards on file for current player for $100.

Throwing the Elixir can only be used in WvW, and has the following effects:

• Immediately kills all friendlies on map.
• Assigns all friendly keeps and supply points to a random enemy team.

The only thing that I can surmise is that with all of the Ecto heavy recipes (unique exotics requiring 250, infused gear requiring stacks of 250), there are more Ectos being used up in recipes than there are being created in the community.

Corrupted weapons are crafted with a crafting profession, not via the Mystic Forge. You buy the recipe from the Merchant after the Claw of Jormag event in Frostgorge Sound.

This means that you need to also have a crafting profession leveled to 400, in addition to having the mats to make the Corrupted Weapon. I.E. Huntsman for pistol, rifle, etc, Weaponsmith for Greatsword, Sword, Shield, etc., and Artificer for Staff, Scepter, etc.

If miyani, the mystic forge lady, sells a recipe that your legendary needs, then yes, you’ll need to buy the 10g recipe from her to make that gift.

Making gold – sell everything. On blue and white gear, salvage and sell mats, and vendor greens. Sell anything higher on the TP. Run dungeons and fractals. And frankly, playing the TP is one of the best ways of making gold.

Onyx lodestones- get gold and buy them off the TP. Farming them is usually far less productive, as the drop rate on them is so low.

Precursor – when you figure this out, you can tell the rest of us. Mainly, the only way to do this is to either be rich so you can TP it, or to get extremely lucky with the MF.

What you should do first – whatever you feel like. Focus on whatever interests you the most.

All out single target dps…theif (but they have aoe, as well).

Really, they can all do support or dps. When it comes to picking a class, it depends more on your playstyle then which roll you want to fill.

And by “Hunter” he means ranger:) I agree completely with his assessment.

The thing is all the other legendarys looks really good, and have an eye catching visual effect with sound. Even the legendary knife the incinerator looks good. But the pistol shoot flower and colours and make a sound like the clown cork guns in a circus, this just isn’t fair.

I don’t know that ALL the other ones look good. The Moot is basically a disco ball mace. The Minstrel hardly has any effects at all. I have to say, at least Quip HAS effects, even if you don’t personally like them.

You never can choose which fractal you enter. It is always randomly selected when you enter.

As far as Charged Lodestones go, if you really want Infinite Light, farming Lodestones will probably get you nowhere. It is much more productive to farm gold, and then buy the Lodestones.

No. Transmuting anything makes it so you can’t use it in Mystic Forge recipes requiring a specific item.

The other thing is that Ecto has been rising in price ever since they introduced Ascended back items, since all the recipes for them require 50 ectos. Yet another thing that lots of people are using ecto for.

The mission “The Ghost Rite” right after “The Battle For Claw Island” on the priory side is probably the most fun I’ve ever had in a personal story mission. However, once you are turned into the Avatar of Balthazar, the view is AWFUL. I’ve attached screenshots to show what I mean. The screenshots are all the way zoomed out – that was the only way I could find that was possible for me to even be able to see my character. Great mission, but it would be nice if the view was fixed.

Here is my engineer, Rachel. Just hit 80 on her a few days ago. I’m still finding new armor combinations that I like – there’s lots of cool looking stuff to get for an engineer!

They are account bound, so you can’t sell them on the TP.

Granted, but its also not listed in the swords with particle effects list, and with how reputable Dulfy is, this would be noticed and fixed.

However, personally I think you’re probably right – I would bet on no particle effects for Stygian.

I believe the servers randomly generate the locations of resource nodes every time they restart. So the nodes changing was simply a side effect of the routine maintenace.

But what monthly’s include fractals………..This would mean i would still have to do fractals. By achievements does it mean like, Kill 100 lizards, use greatsword 100 times or dose it mean monthlys and dailys?

Right now monthlies and dailies. And since monthlies change every month, there is no guarantee that Fractals will be required for monthlies. And if they are….you can still earn laurels by just doing dailies

@The Blue Ace – exactly why I am not even going to try. Lodestone prices make some of the exotics not even worth a go. My favorite GS skins all require a ton of lodestones.

Then there is the legendary LB which my tough female Norn Ranger won’t be getting. Honestly I felt sorry for any male character having to shoot rainbows with a legendary LB.
For me it isn’t even a case of Aesop’s ‘sour grapes’ when it comes to a legendary. Sure I don’t have nearly the playstyle to get one, but what’s available isn’t my type either. I am waiting for the Ascended weapons in hopes there is something there I can work towards and enjoy.

Perhaps you’re thinking of the legendary shortbow? The legendary longbow doesn’t shoot rainbows. It shoots flowers

I doubt that they will remove any existing content/events. IMO, they will probably only add new events and content, not remove anything.

(1) Refers to the benefit you gain if you have 1 of these runes in your armor.
(2) refers to the bonus you get if you have 2 of these runes in your armor.
(3) refers to the bonus you get if you have 3 of these runes in your armor.

Etc…..

So it sounds like the problem you’re having is that if you want the other stats, you need to equip the number of runes specified. So, for example, if you want the +3% Critical Damage bonus, you’d need to get 2 more Major Runes of Rage and put it in your armor.

Sadly, that is fairly true. Some people seem to have the attitude that if it doesn’t get gold fast it must not be worth doing.

I think some times people forget that this is a game they play to have fun. If I wanted stress and pressure to get results I’d just spend more time at work.

Wait what? There’s a legendary staff that hasn’t been discovered in addition the bifrost?

Um. No. Not sure what he’s talking about here. Perhaps he’s thinking the staff Final Rest is a legendary (there are a number of threads about Final Rest on here) because lots of people have been looking for a recipe/drop location for that. But Final Rest is an Exotic. There’s only one legendary staff. That’s The Bifrost.

Anyone know if ANet has said that they will improve some of the more lackluster legendaries, like for instance…the Minstrel?

Just do different things to get gold or whatever you need. Orr isn’t the only place you can make money. Do some dungeons. Do some fractals. Do some WvWvW. Go to a different zone besides Orr. There are lots of places to make money or karma in this game.

In my experience with promotion, it is almost always better to sell the T5 mats and use the gold earned to buy the T6 mats. The promotion recipe just doesn’t produce enough T6 mats for it to be worth it.

Haha, yeah. That is like, my favorite area in the game. Can’t for the life of me remember what it’s called right now. There’s a really epic bossfight in there which is fun if you can get a few people together. It’s the big volcanoey place near Inquest Headquarters.
