Wow, really? I remember them taking an hour or more….did they nerf the dungeons, or were my groups just terrible back in the day, lol?

I’m just coming back to the game after a long break.

I’m curious how long it takes to run the group content. I don’t have a regular group I play with, so it would just be with a PUG using the LFG tool.

However, my playing time is limited, and I’d like to verify that I’ll have time to complete content before I join a group.

I don’t really even see the point of legendary trinkets imo, unless they’d have the stat change out of combat ability that the weapons are getting. Other than back items, the visuals of an amulet ring or accessory would go unseen xD

The only other reason I could see is if the legendary trinkets added some sort of effect to your character, like an aura or some other cosmetic change.

You only gain xp from crafting when you gain a crafting level. Therefore, when you hit max crafting level, you no longer gain xp from that crafting profession

Another thing to point out is that a lot of ppl qqed about “OMGWTFBBQ LODES ARE SO kittenIN’ HARD TO GET!!!”. So i estimate that this might be the way to make Lodes’ cheaper, because the Core Promotion would get cheaper (25s less; it’s a lot per promotion).

People have already gotten monthlies. They can be acquired.

In fact, Vol, who is in this thread, is the one who got them and tested them.

You should probably add this in the suggestions forum, as it’s more likely to be looked at there.

Also – if they did this, they would need to add storage for all crafting components in the bank, and that could get large.

I believe its a bug that hasn’t been fixed yet. It’s likely that the sword is supposed to cost the same amount of coins as everything else, but it’s bugged and costs more.

Totally agree. Why waste the time to add a new item to the game if its exactly the same as another one? Just have the laurel vendor sell 10 wines for 10 laurels….bam. Same effect as the 10 mystic binding agents. Well. Glad someone took one for the team and bought them, so I won’t have to waste mine….

Perhaps you only play at your server’s slowest time.

Well, thanks for trying it out, Vol. I agree with you – seems like a royal waste of laurels to me, since there is a fixed amount you can get. You can always get more money. More laurels is hard to get.

I disagree with this also. I would be fine if ascended gear was traceable on the TP, but not okay with it if they sold ascended gear packages on the gem store.

Legendary weapons are crafted, they are not randomly given out by the forge. See this page for more detail:

However, the Precursor weapon for each legendary is obtained in the manner you described. For a chance at a precursor, you must put 4 exotic or rare weapons, level 76 r higher, all of the same type of the weapon you want (I.e. mace for mace, sword for sword, etc.). This gives an extremely low chance at getting a precursor back.

And back items are the only ones you get from the forge. Rings are only gotten through fractals and laurels from dailies, and amulets are only gotten through laurels.

There isn’t really a “shield stance”. The shield is just like any other offhand weapon – it adds two more weapon skills to your skill bar, in the 4th and 5th slots. Some shield bearing classes may have a sort of shield stance skill – such as the warrior’s number 5 skill – but there isn’t a stance persay.

This means they are more likely to mine more resources from nodes, and more likely to get rare resources when mining. However, RNG is still RNG, and so getting more rare mats is certainly in no way guaranteed when using them.

Since the achievement is account bound, the way you get the “extra” 199 hearts is by doing them on new characters, or “alts”.

They are account bound. So they have to be crafted by YOU, but it can be on any one of your characters.

I don’t think the body armor exists for players. The helmet is similar to the sorrows embrace helm, but the eye color is different (SE helm has orange, fiery eyes)

The main reason to do the JP is to get the Badges of Honor. Looks like the easiest way to obtain them is finishing maps in WvW (10 for each map) and doing the Jumping Puzzles in each map. But since you need 500 of them (for a Legendary Weapon), would probably have to do the Jumping Puzzle a lot to get enough.

Definitely. IF you do the EB puzzle, and you’re a level 80, you get around 15-20 badges per run. So, doing the math (worst case scenario):

40 from map completion (10 from each of the maps)
15 from JP

You’d have to do the EB jumping puzzle 31 times to get all 500 badges.

What you get out of the forge is random. The only thing that matters is rarity. All exotics are the same in the forge’s eyes, whether they’re dungeon, crafted, named, or precursors. All rares are likewise the same.

On the good side, since the graphics are sitting there not being used, there’s a very very good chance that it will be available eventually

Apparently they haven’t released this yet in PvE/WvW. So in answer to your question, no, there is currently no way to get it there.

Every friday evening (Around 4 or 5 PST, I think) the WvW matches reset, and new match ups are made. That is what he was referring to – because no one will be able to be camping the puzzle yet.

I’ve played both ele and warrior. They’re both good in PvE. I would maybe consider looking at some new builds with your ele, or upgrading your else’s gear.

However, if you really hate playing ele, then roll a warrior or something else you’d think would be fun. I find that every class has its role in WvW, and can be successful there.

The Bone Longbow is most likely just the PvP version of the Godskull Longbow.
I don’t know what the Steady Longbow is. I know that there is an option to have “steady” weapons in the Mists when you talk to the PvP Weapon Merchant. I don’t think those were legendary though.

There are “legendary” weapons with no stats in sPvP. They are called Steady weapons. That’s where those came from.

The quaggan skin comes with a back item with no stats so that you can get the appearance even if you don’t have a back item on your character.

People keep talking about corrupted shortbow having a change in looks but no one has ever posted a screenshot of it.

I saw one….unfortunately I can’t remember the thread. The new shortbow barely looks corrupted at all – it looks much closer to the shaman bow you make it from than to the corrupted longbow

Either that, or more people are going to try for the Minstrel now, hoping that Anet has plans to add new effects. More likely you’re correct though:)

The patch notes said they updated some of the effects on legendaries, including adding footfalls to Quip. Is there a video up of these yet? If not, will someone with Quip make one? thanks.

I would expect that you’ll see updates for both of these in upcoming patches.
