Wow. I think that might be one of the most honorable things I’ve seen in WvW. Thank you for restoring my faith in other players today.

“I’m hoping it is just a holiday downtime for all 3 servers (well not for BG because they would be scary good if they are missing a lot of people!) Last night, I was in SOR BL around 11:30PM EST and there were 0 people from TC on the server. The breakout commander was waiting and no one was around him.”

On Thursday last week, I went to TCBL and there were 3 people on. All trying to hold Garrison. We ended up at Cliffside, trying to “hold onto our last ten points.” This was after I had just come from a 2 hour fight in EB to keep OverLook. We had about 12 in EB holding the keep. Friday morning, we were able to hold the keep, but we had laid in a ton of seige at the Keep and Veloka. Again, as Dorian Q said, “We’re just trying to keep what we have with a ragtag group of 12 people.” I think that’s the only day we held it through the morning – I had to leave. I don’t know. Late nights/early mornings have been really rough for us. I’ve been getting up at 4:30AM (3:30 server time) to play, but won’t be able to do that when school starts back up again.

I’m not jumping on the OMG BG has sooo many people bandwagon. It is what it is. You have the people, we don’t. Self-responsibility calls for us to find the people to help us work through the early mornings so we can at least maintain some sort of point tick. We either work out a way to hold our lands with 12 people on, recruit more people or we don’t. Simple as that. I believe there are already several TC recruitment threads so hopefully we will start having better coverage during those times.

Props to BG and SoR for good fights as always.

Dear BG and SoR – Thank you for all the things I’ve learned from you in the past two weeks:

BG – thanks for the lessons on seige placement, especially at the red keep. Maybe, this will keep you guys at bay in the mornings Doubtful but maybe. Thanks for showing me where to put superior seige to hold pang for over an hour and require 20+ people to try and take it.

SoR – thanks for showing me greatness of the portal bomb. Flash building seige and portal bombing in with it was… crazy. Also, thanks for the lesson in.. “HUGE ZERG, ohhh.. portal bomb behind them.”

It’s been crazy fun. Though at times I feel like I’m just running from keep to tower to camp back to tower to try and just hold them for a length of time.

Happy New Year, BG and SoR I hope to put all your lessons and more to good use in 2013.

I play my necro in WvW.. and yea, I die a lot. I think quite a bit of that is from lack of skill (I’m just not that fast on a keyboard, and I’m an okay player at best), and some may have to do with being a Necro. But… I love me some staff marks! I can hit marks on walls, they are effective on the underside of bridges, they are great at a choke point, and fun laying them over a body someone is trying to rez!! Also, the other day, a thief was after me.. I stood there, and laid down a bunch of staff marks on top of each other, with me in the middle, include well of darkness – boom, blind, weakened, feared, poisoned, and chilled – circle of death. He went down to about 20% health I eventually died.. but it was kitten amounts of fun!

To the BG players who took bay on TCBL’s last night… Just so you know, I had no idea you couldn’t get to me while I was on that wall until I was dead. I kep wondering why you were sending the bear after me… DANG BEAR!!! Still, the cannon was fun. Thanks for the challenge

I was on EB last night for a long time. SMC was contested by SOR and BG, so while they were busy we went and took some of BGs stuff. This action was barely keeping us beteen 200 – 220 ppts. The BLs was having quite a few issues. Our own BLs only had 2-3 red dots on it, as well as the rest of the BLs. We just didn’t have the coverage. Tough night for us. A bunch of us went over, we managed to take hills back, but that lil red water camp UGH. I hate it. It flips like a pancake.

Glad to know I wasn’t the only one. Here are a few gems from chat:

- The announcement we took SMC – ummm, maybe not, we’re not green
- The statement “I feel kind of dirty running through a red door, reminds me of FA”-
- Running for a green SMC, to wonder why the guards are all hostile and I can’t get through the door. Oppps. Dead.
- “Wait, who are the blue people again? They just took that tower”

Had a really good time on the TCBL’s last night with Commander Jadon. Thank you all so much for a great fight.

I bought the griffon, I could have crafted it, but I knew it was definitely the one I wanted. I got 4 other minis from 20 boxes – plus some other good stuff in the wintersday chest. I was pretty happy.

I think AwesomeSauce needs to update his signature line with famous last words:

They should take it out of the world map completion as far as I’m concerned. Do you know how many times I’ve heard… “I NEED THE CASTLE FOR THE VISTA to get 100%”. And for some dang reason, only known to them, 20 people follow this person to the castle while we lose our keep.

Don’t get me started on the puzzle people. :/ I’m trying to realize everyone plays their own game. It is much better for my psyche.

I’ve jumped on the head of a few Blackgate people. I’m sure you were perfectly nice people, but I was getting frustrated. Sorry if I head jumped you.

Anet doesn’t necessarily…. not condone the act. I think the whole “FINISH THEM” is kind of humiliating. This may be because it happens to me so often. BUT.. Anet offers a cow finish, a Mad King finisher, and a scarecrow finisher. How humiliating to have a scarecrow sticking out of your corpse.

Meh. I usually spawn back pretty quickly anyway, so I don’t see the humiliating things done to my poor necro’s body.

We will not negotiate with terrorists, or be extorted for money :/

Gosh, SoR Sorry we’re boring you!!! We don’t want, nor expect your pity. Please keep it to yourself. We were still trying last night. Failing, but trying. And this wasn’t our fair weather friends from last week, this was the people who had been there during our Blackgate rolling, and the week before when whoever did it. We were trying, but were being overwhelmed. The sheer intensity of the whole thing made me want to log off. Yes, I was killed 492x (okay, that’s inflated, but that’s what it felt like), just by sheer numbers. And ET just never… showed up on EB at all. So to say our regulars (and you know who you are – Gunthurr, Flagio, Lil Chuck, Nyari and the countless others whose names I know but my brain is blank), you are bored, is at the least insulting, at best, them are fighting words!!!

Watch your back, because I want our keep back Get out of our house!

I won’t be jumping on the server transfer bandwagon. I’ve stated before I believe each server has self responsibility. Either this means you use what you have to the greatest advantage, or you recruit for your night time coverage. Unfortunately, that is how things are going right now. I don’t know if I agree, but work with what you have people.

That being said, I was in EB last night, when I wasn’t banging my head on my desk. SoR was extremely coordinated, had tons of seige, and seemed to be everywhere all at once! And I was bored last week Thanks, SoR for taking me to school on tactics, seige placement, and working together as a team.

I was also surprised to actually see a huge issue with the rendering (I know, I know, everyone has been stating it, but I’ve never been the one experiencing it on such an extreme basis). At one point, I came around the QL side of Danelon, walked right up to an SoR guy building seige, and killed him. My first thought was, where are the other SoR people? My second thought was, how was I just able to walk in here? When I turned around, I saw about 15 SoR people running at me. I died a fairly noble, yet horrible death (one of 492x it seems that evening). I don’t think they saw me until I was on that guy. And it wasn’t because they weren’t paying attention. I was literally in the middle of people who weren’t seeing me – and that is just messed up.
