If this week or next viz will just be any old server!. Some strong roleplay in viz lions arch just then i spread my message of love.

On the note of week. I hope deso will stop slacking and focus viz more in offpeak instead of trying some strange stuff. After all it will be you or viz who eventually go down. As for viz your time is now. We just need JS or elona+kodash hell whoever to stop slacking. I will be safe in the knowledge that viz will never win t1 again. Them 12 gold medals will soon look shabby.

Now to try get deso to win next week. Maybe we will transfer to JS for real and help them come into t1 for viz… If it did end up with viz and js with sfr it would be funny seeing internal drama then pugs and many guilds shifting to JS. Also if deso went to t2 they could dominate on + points then come back for viz or JS.

As for SFR epic job this week even with alot of us slacking. We staying on SFR for along time unless we go JS ofc.

Guilds taking break from game till patch because of culling – Not many sticking it out.

Guilds taking break from game till patch because of 2/3 sec skill delay and cant move/swap weapon – Many.

Months people dealt with culling it had its reason for being there. The last culling change bringing major lag, many stopped already after 1-2 weeks because of this.

LAG > Culling. If this as many are suspecting is culling to lag fix it will be game over for many in terms of wvw servers. As its taken you plenty of time to get around to wvw in first place and still flogging the esport dead horse.

Be nice to hear of the commander changes i hope it will have guild only option to be seen by guild only. Raid UI?

Good job SFR!. Props to all the guilds. Last night SIN 12 guys who stayed on and RNV 15-20 and the 11 RG who stayed + any soloers from guilds or pugs around.

If the 40 or so viz can not spread and nibble with 4 golems and 8 players etc just suppress the morning cap they loose. That NW tower in viz was turning point with full viz online and FM norn guardian commander. Endless times they suicide on catas. The spirit was broken after that tower fell. Then on with Zds and russian army to cover. plus riot/vcy and all i forget who had a push this morning.

The battle is won and overall points of viz coming down. But if you think we stupid enough to step off gas or i was not expecting a long few weeks to get viz from t1 you mistaken. The WAR is on!. We now need deso or elona to stop messing about or jadesea morning cap to move deso.

Lets hope your sunday night/monday morning cheese raid works next week.

As for the week it was good amount of kills the action was decent. I still hope guilds start running alone more than just one commander zone blobs. blob vs blob is not much skill delay your guild vs blob seem to be stupid and cant even change weapon.

Hopefully anet with commander changes will make commander option to hide to all bar guild or some form of guild commander that we should of had since start. Or with full culling removal maybe we wont need commander again like we always used before last patch. As for lag i fear that will only get worse.

For any interested. I think the 250k one is placed right for not to long and not to short if wvw is your thing. Most in RG now have 50-100k. Was sent a pm on this forum about topic also i am sure there was 2 or so before like it on reddit.

On the comment of Viz you have one guild that solid which is WL rest is quality of t3-t8. Viz should be under no illusion you win because of your coverage from 4/5am till 12. You got butchered vs blacktide on points even with just RG/Unnamed and CIR in primetime only. We won because Xaoc killed your morning zerg and then upgraded everything into primetime. Where as then as now is +280/400 primetime on SFR que viz on 150-200. If we had xaoc even with just half them now there would be no discussion. You say we won you won some. You won after xaoc stopped from 2am with maxs and then xaoc stopping shortly full time after that. There was no us win you win about it. Blacktide dominated viz, then it was dead que viz wins.

Relentless sometimes i think crazy coming back to be farmed so many times. Solid community leader with troma. But kept in t1 by way higher player base on server i think not even many Canadians from hearing from our ex WL Canadian. Add in major siege users. Ts3 community driven. Shadow capping in night with few scouts saying to come that zone if it seems dead.

Thats the reason i wanna see viz go t2. So much denial in the ranks of viz. Could your server survive this crippling blow its all you care about.

On that note deso will go down this week but they will be back with big +points from t2. We send elona back down and keep plugging away at viz. We need JS to stop slacking and take points of elona. As for you viz thinking we gonna rage quit if viz dont go down, dont be silly this is win win. i get to farm 1000s of kills and slowly your morale will break. Plus while im sure deso and us try fill 4/5am till 12pm timezone. Then its gameover viz.

Quick mention to viz in eb outpost tonight. 15min farm? 300-400 kills you definitely wont forget that. No doubt you will turn it into some roleplay story how you resisted the mighty RG push and died 20+ times each the spirit was strong!. Yet outpost would of been taken 10 times over if Anet would only make the cap same size as SM or even smaller in outposts. There is no way outpost should be impossible to take vs defenders, add in the waypoint abuse on end of timer.

Most are slack with the expecting boring week and viz was prepped to push deso out of t1. Not looking good atm for deso anyways. You clearly dont know me very well if you think i would be bothered another week in t2. We have not played in t1 since blacktide bar US. Also this just gives deso time to get there US guilds over and us to stack more coverage at night/morning for Operation Pesticide.

Culling is absolutely a fixable problem, and as Habib mentioned in his MMORPG interview, we are planning to completely remove it from the game in march.

Why is it taking so long? Well, I think the best way I can describe how we’ve had to approach this problem is that it’s almost like changing a flat tire on a car that’s still moving. That’s a really rough analogy, but hopefully it helps illustrate just how difficult this would be in terms that are easier for everyone to understand.

Something like the way players render is extremely core to the engine and any change to that sort of thing could cause all kinds of other issues throughout the game. There are a lot of really complex technical problems that we needed to solve, then make sure that our changes don’t actually cause any of those odd side effects.

That being said, we’re confident that been able to solve those problems on the technical side. We still have a bit more testing to do, but we’re not expecting any major issues to pop up at this point, so we’re really looking forward to flipping that switch and getting rid of culling for good!

We’ll have a blog post coming up sometime in the next month to go into more details about the culling fixes and what you can expect.

Could you clarify that the reason why culling existed in first place has also been fixed?. This is not a straight swap culling to lag is it?. Since there is even zone crashes now on some servers, 2-3 sec lag, Rubber banding. This is just with what 45-50ish? on screen at one time friendly/enemy? as it stands live at this time. Add in 270 90×3 zone size.

So the new engine changes i am guessing can handle everyone in zone spamming skills?. add in garrison(closed space) siege being used at same time. mass stealth skills where server must tell the enemy and friendly when to become visible and not?. Thats one big stress hodgepodge going to server and back. I noticed the other day the backup models when to many in one spot?.

I just hope this is not nice in theory but in reality change. We talked about all this before anyways mike. I gotta say epic props if it comes off i will be waiting in anticipation. However i wont hide my skepticism after playing many WvW games that have failed because of WvW or mass RVR lag on large scale. I would seriously give this a test run before in 100% stress situations on live.

93-100. Take off 100 hours afk/leveling at start 100+. I do have the luxury of being gm so when i log on we start so not much downtime from only doing WvW when online.

Nearing 150k not seen or heard many EU with as much. i think next highest is cyril with 115k or so. Hopefully few months till ultimate dominator. 1565 hours played, which i know a lot of people have more. So its not as hard as made out you just need to wvw and kill alot.

I expect a very good week with insane action. JS can come along to party also i hope lnm soul reapers blood legio and co get it together stop trying to be viz part 2. This could be the t2 match up for awhile. Hopefully SFR want to remain in this bracket we will try same. Desolation its your time to tank. If only we could just remove viz and elona community driven crap. t2 will be the real t1 for action!.

We are light running maybe 40% of average we have been 12/13 only last few hours. Average run 25. Shame if only JQ would just mass log off now and we can take all zone for them.

All the balance changes in the game come from SPVP. Chapman just said on the livestream the AOE nerf was basically because 2 guys went down in Spvp to 1 and the 1 guy used AOE instead of stomping. Or finding more people in spvp teams doing aoe when people go down rather than stomping.

Ok so the best way for us to read exactly what chapman ment is this..

2 guys died to 1 guy in 5v5 structured SPVP. The 1 guy then used aoe to finsh them rather than stomp. Meaning now we must drop everything for a tiny part of game in terms of numbers playing and NERF AOE because of this.

More of Anet having no clue. lets just remove aoe and kill 80 guys single target!. The aoe is already weaker than other games. Did you not listen more people want more targets being hit by aoe than same 5 target and then aoe being nerfed.

Just promote more zerg play so the casuals can run around without any fear.

One of the [RG] players informed us that the map sweep on Reset, by Piken, was to ‘teach us a lesson’. So the golem train was to prove a point that they had enough organization to build an army of golems without supply camps and came prepared.

He was probably just trolling. Gandara after all was talking crap on there forum about how we built rams or something and wasted keep supply when infact we golem rushed all of EB on first night.

Dont worry too much about RG and Saccy tbh. We wont see them for a while, and think about it this way; If they need to “give Gandara a lesson”, what does that say about them :-) Gandara as a server will miss the fights against some of the Piken guilds. I know I will, thats why we moved to Gandara after all, because there are a whole bunch of skilled guilds at Piken, and good fights to be had. As for Siege yea its our favored past time… We can only use super ram and golems. Maybe its more to do with the only siege we can stand in getting it out of way. Also we use badges on them. So the stomping corpses comment is just more golems!.

Serious Note.. The french better work on greasing palms to get MOS/option/tempest/GN blood legio? to JS. Very disappointed today when i found out the one french server with actual guilds who fight and 1 of 4 of best servers left died some. Hell throw in War legend and mort while your at it to JS. What a load of vague tosh. PVE Driven story mode in WVW. Yes anet you clearly understand WvW… Clearly not.

First time doing Open World WvW in your game and it shows. Tried to copy Daoc/War but clearly did not understand it. This concept of WvW is pve is totally crazy.

Not a single mention on culling. Also that trial you did was terrible some solo people fighting 3-4 guys vs 1. The solo guy could see the 4 people attacking him. Like us playing with 25 which is culling limit vs Vizinuah Zerg of 60-70 guys. They could see us but we could not see them.

Of course they whine because as i told you many times the viel and stealth mechanic screw with being read by server back to client.

Also crippling your main system in WvW making combo fields 5 target. Should be upped to 10-15.

AoE cap should be upped also or removed.

Also we need a herald that shows most kills per classes etc on website. Some form of drive for people to play, Realm rank system etc.

Your gonna miss the boat i can see it already. This patch is going to be a big disappointment for big portion of people. And then your game is done. As afterall for us we will go on to kill. But there will be noone left to kill games like WvW require Enemy and sustained pool of players.. I just hope it wont go the way of past 3 mmos Rift/Swtor Making it PVE from WvW.

Studios who coming up saying WvW and rvr.. or just killing people, is bad business model for games are stupid.

Nice movie. Enjoyed Votf wipe, even though there was some AC help killing them. It showed there one trick pony drop everything tactic. Survive 3-5 seconds vs votf and then they will fall over. Crowd control frontline, roll out way and avoid main line. I miss fighting both. look forward to future battles hopefully.

This is a great video, showing the potential of gvg within a wvw context. Esports is a dead idea in the first place. The best part of guild wars is essential gvg, why did they not carry on this aspect is beyond most older gw1 players.

No doubt it will be Esport focus still. flogging dead horse since the esports teams quit in first month or did not even bother playing… turned out exactly as was said many times. build wars can change gear seeing enemy on start of battle. or bunker specs/roam around avoid enemy to win. Best way to discribe scenarios in gw2… “Play the scenario to win.. not kill the enemy within the scenario to win”.

However that adds these so called “tactics”. which basically means anets way to make it viable for pugs and randoms so they feel they achieving satisfaction by running from bo to bo avoid enemy to win.

Just look at the structured forum. chapman posting all time. Clearing dont give a crap about WvW. where is Wvw guys we have to learn from some random forum mods about WvW junkies interview where the devs said nothing of importance like it was just some big joke. Hell ive not seen Mike posting in ages, i guess hes busy. Still structured is getting way more focus than it should of Anet just looked at the numbers.

Get serious Anet on WvW you was told how many people playing your game was waiting for Open world combat like daoc/war and the games that failed after that. You have it right but your missing big areas you should have had covered for launch. There is already alot of full guilds i know stopped or running lighter numbers till Feb patch saying we will see what happens. Basic fundamental stuff which should go along with WvW.

A big portion of WvW is made up of RvR focused players not pve like you have in your heads. Get it sorted. Nice to know i am blacklisted by Anet now also.. Guess i did not smooch enough.. Hell the one person who loves your game more than most and wants it to succeed. Being too involved in helping game… Good luck.

That bay fight in AR zone vs gandara was fairly sick. 23 or so RG and 10 or so TUP. Tup died and we held till they ran back good 3-4 mins. Good effort by gandara. Might of been one of our best keep takes or up there at least.

Keep focusing Viz they are already in meltdown mode. They will be pulling 2-3 day all nighters to get 2nd this week. God forbidden they drop out of t1!.

Keep in mind that viz spirit equates to selling your brain to vendor for points. Expect everything from them by end of week. I am not surprised to hear about viz cheaters. Dropping out of t1 would crush there spirit!. go go sfr/deso i can send gold to see downfall of viz
