Well the highest level MF food are Omnomberry Bars and right below that is Raspberry Peach Bars. There are others but these 2 have high MF and also increases the amount of gold that drops from monsters. Either way having MF doesn’t improve the amount of drops you have but the chance for higher quality items go up, you still get plenty of whites, blues, greens, and very rarely yellow. So you still make a profit with or without it.

Don’t bother rushing the map completion if you’re finding it too monotonous, unless you are planning to make a Legendary. The reward for map completion is coins, exp, a title, a star next to your name, and 2 Gifts of Exploration. Those gifts are only for a legendary and you can’t sell them to other people so you can use them, let it sit in your bank, or vendor it.

A good way to break the monotony is to find an exploring buddy. Whether in guild or just through map chats.

Well the ones that I know of that can drop precursors are the chests from world bosses and at the end of the Temple chains in the Orr maps. Aside from those I’m not sure. I can only assume the rarer or harder a chest is to get the chance for higher quality loot goes up.

Also if the server you’re trying to transfer to is always Full then try checking in off peak hours. Usually if its early in the morning the population is low enough that the server state will switch to High or even Medium. and you can get in then.

I love my necro. I admit after I had played for a bit I went to the necro’s forum and saw all the bugs it has I was discouraged for a bit. But then as I looked at all the other classes I realized that all of them have issues. There are pros and cons with all of them, you merely have to take the cons and work around them.

Now as a level 80 necro I thoroughly enjoy my class mechanic. Afterall there is no such thing as the perfect build for any class. I personally went 20/0/25/25/0 with any traits I can to boost my minions since I’m a minion master. My gear is all Power/Tough/Vit. I didn’t bother with condition since Power will increase my damage over all and when I’m doing PVE on the map I prefer to go dual daggers. Now with 3 minions out and dual daggers I am killing mobs quickly and as I attack my minions lifesteal, draw aggro and deal damage. The few moments aggro is on me my tough and vit means I take fairly low damage and and even if its significant I still have a large well of health. My minion’s lifesteal is quickly healing me as I am getting hurt.
Though 1 very large complaint about necros you can’t dispute is that the minion AI is kitten and has issues but that can be worked around.

When in dungeons or if I wish to range then I scepter/dagger and staff. With the Greater Marks trait you staff has a large aoe potential.

There is more I can talk about on this class but at this point I’m just rambling. My point is every class is viable you merely have hit on the right combination that works for you.

If you plan to craft as a way to level then I would suggest waiting until around 60 to work on it. Reasoning is that by the time you’re that level hopefully you’ll have a nice stash of craft mats in your Collectibles, provided you haven’t been selling them for quick coin. So its less you have to buy and waste coin on.

My next reason is that the exp you gain is percentage base. For example at level 10 if you were to discover a recipe and it gave you 5% which was 15exp as opposed to at 60 and you discovered that same recipe you would still get 5% but the exp would be 150 instead. The exp gain scales to your level. Now the numbers I threw out aren’t real and I just used easy rounded numbers.

If you’re in a rush to reach 80 then the last 20 or so levels might take the longest simply from the fact that you need to accumulate more exp to level just once.

However if you’re in no rush to hit 80 and don’t mind spending a bit of coin here and there, leveling you’re crafting as you go is great as a way to boost you up that level or 2 that you needed for your personal story.

As for class go with what you like. I started this game as a newbie a week after launch, never played GW1, all I knew about the game were the names of races and a sketchy idea of what professions there were. I chose a necromancer as my starter and I don’t regret it once. I became a minion master with my stats and traits primarily in Power/Toughness/Vitality. Its all in how you play any class.

Also 1 piece of advice no matter what class you are kiting and knowing when to dodge are some of the most important skills to have. Doesn’t matter if you’re a guardian with tough and vit out of the wazoo, doing those 2 things will keep you alive longer so you can keep fighting and prevent prolonging fights that don’t need to be prolonged because everyone dieing and the boss reset or you are downed and people try to revive you but die in the process.

As far as I am aware there is no auto move option for you to get in range of the enemy. However there is an auto attack option once you are in range. CTRL+right click your 1 hot key and it’’ll keep attacking as long as you’re close enough to what you’kittengeted to.

Just complete maps. As you go through them you get coin from selling everything from monster drops, collectibles you find or farm, rewards from events, and last but not least the reward for actually completing the map. You get silvers, 40 of a mat appropriate to that map level, a mystic coin, and 2 armors or weapons that can be blues, greens, rare, or exotic. So as you work towards 100% world completion money should not be an issue.

Is there any way we can revisit any of our tickets submitted in game? Whether to see if it has been resolved or not? Because I get hit by constant glitches in dungeons that force my party to have to reset the dungeon or not get the rewards we were supposed to. I report it in game and on forums occasionally. It would be nice to know if any of the staff has looked at it or even to provide more information than I gave at the time.

It’s alot of time wasted and tokens I’ll never get but needed. It would be nice to get some compensation but since I never get any kind of response email from Anet I seriously doubt they’ll bother. But some sort of acknowledgement would be appreciated.

I can see why they would do this for out in the regular map but I was doing my personal story and this happened. So now they are basically withholding items from people playing the game legitimately in the story line.

I was doing Forging the Pact and was on the part where I escorted some Priory researchers through a cave full of risen when I kept getting that message. I didn’t know what was going on at first then I noticed it only happened after I killed the grubs.

I got that message over 20x so I missed out on quite a bit of drops. I did this story last night at about 10:30 pm PST.

Oh I was wondering about that too. I thought it was just some weird lingo that transferred over from veteran players of GW1. Though kitten is kinda an odd word to use as slang xD

I ran an AC Explorer for the very first time ever early this morning maybe at 12-1 am PST and my squad took maybe 45mins to an hour to finikitten. We took the 3rd path I believe. At the very end I only got 15 tokens. So I did not get the 20 tokens I was supposed to get or the bonus 40 more for doing it the first time that day. Since I had never run this dungeon before shouldn’t I have gotten the full 60 tokens?

I didn’t know that the rewards system was bugged, if I did I wouldn’t have run it but I was so excited about hitting 80 and finally being able to survive ok as I farm for my gear that I joined as soon as I could.

Sure you can start in the starting zones of another race. Your level will be adjusted for that area but any exp you get there go towards your real exp so you’ll still level up.

Skill points can’t be reset since with all the points you can earn in game you can actually end up buying all your skills, with plenty of points left over after.

Wow really they let you get that many slots? Seems excessive.

Unless you have an invisible bag and place your Mini in there then it’ll stay with you.

Just have it in your bag, double click the icon image and it should appear next to you. If Lion’s arch is too active a city and you lag I would suggest going to a less populated map and summon your mini there.

Not sure what is the right area to put this but I figure someone out there would have some answers. What’s the maximum number of character slots we can have? I know the account comes with a default 5 but up to how many more can we buy with gems? Will it be enough if I want to do 1 do each profession?

Also why is the search function not working on the forums? I tried it out on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox and they both don’t work. You can type in the box but clicking search does nothing.

Not really. It affects what events happen in your story but the end results will still be the same. Also you have access to the exclusive Whisper armor later but that only matters if you plan to use that set. I heard 1 piece of gear is like 9 gold when instead you can buy an exotic from TP for a fraction of the price.

The order you’re in doesn’t give you any bonus it just determines the look of the exclusive set and what stat bonuses it gives.
