Id also expect that everyone who made a profit in this way be stripped of this gold and banned because, as we know from the Snowflake exploit, ANET look down on those that deliberately play to ruin the economy.
Anet intentionally and knowingly designed it so you pay an entry fee and an optional boasting fee, and, if you win, you are rewarded. No bugs were used or abused in that video, or any video I have seen of this. Everything is working as intended. If you want to call it an oversight and poorly designed fight, then that would be accurate, but stop calling everything that needs to be nerfed a “bug” or an “exploit”; they are not umbrella terms.
@ sanctus, because I want the mini but lack the ability to kill the boss.
I want a new house, car, and Piper Perabo as my wife… I lack the ability to get all of those things.
I gave up on it
Then why should you get the mini?
Will there be a way to obtain the legendaries? Its impossible for me to get enough money normally.
How can you expect anyone to take you seriously wen u tyep lyk dis? Honestly, typing like that takes far more effort than doing it properly.
Small UI text is still broken.
Still can’t block people in guild chat.
Still no Character Limit/Quality checkbox for PVE (or at the very least in major cities, especially after culling will be turned off).
An option to automatically switch to town clothes… in a town.

Isn’t it in the ANET/NCsoft ToS that anyone caught or reported for exploiting and confirmed by a dev grounds for an immediate ban whether it be temp. or perm.? If so, then, why has absolutely no-one been banned for this act of total disregard for legitimate players AND ANETs rules been totally ignored? IMHO ANET should just throw all the rules in the trash and allow everyone to do ANYTHING they want to any degree they want, it’s only fair. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Because its not an exploit, granted, the rewards are a bit rediculous and nerf-worthy at the moment. Events were designed to scale to the amount of players involved in them. Events were designed to be failable. Events were designed to re-trigger after a certain amount of time after failing. Using intended ingame mechanics to your advantage isn’t exploiting (stop using this word to describe anything that might, has, or should get nerfed).
OK, fair enough, replace exploit with not as intended. Same difference.
Exactly what “isn’t intended”? If events weren’t meant to fail, they wouldn’t have designed them so.

“I’m finished farming this, its okay to nerf it now.”
Nice attitude.
The most annoying carebear feature in the game is rallying in pvp. All it does is reward bad players.
While you make good points, please can everyone in this forum stop using the words ‘the majority feel’ or something to that effect. You don’t know what the majority want or feel. Anecdotal evidence from the forums or some people you heard in map chat or your guild are not ‘the majority’.
This, people need to stop “speaking for everyone” based on what they see on the forums. These forums are nothing more than the vocal minority, I wouldn’t be surprised if the “majority” of players don’t even know they exist.
Not everyone can multitask. Not everyone can handle chaotic environments Not everyone can handle both.
Not everyone is entitled to the achievement, just because it exists.
Achievement
1. The act of accomplishing or finishing.
2. Something accomplished successfully, especially by means of exertion, skill, practice, or perseverance
The game has been out/developed for years and the camera is still the absolute worst I have ever seen in a game. Is it that hard to make it ignore terrain and fade out the foreground when it passes through it… you know, like every other third-person camera ever made?
This is what I am seeing when in the pavilion.

I have been playing MMos for 15 years, and the one thing they all have in common is you can see what you are attacking, what you are attacking it with, and what is attacking you. Hey, I guess guild wars 2 is unique afterall!
Would you be willing to return all of the gold you made while using it?
It’ll just be a staff skin.
I see why you say this, the model is holding it in roughly the same way as current staves. However, I will gnash my teeth and rend my garments if you are correct. That is clearly a halberd model. God if they give it to spellcasters I’ll be kittened
Its the seraph spear model… http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Seraph_Spear
Yes, it would be nice, most elite skills seem to be gimmicky and not very practical (well, neither are most ‘utility’ skills). Each weapon set should have at least 7 available skills to choose from as-well, it would add a lot more depth. For example, right now if you come across a staff guardian or rifle warrior, you know exactly what they can and cannot do, add more weapon skills and every encounter could potentially be different.
IMO, its like they created the greatswords and then gave up; the rest of the legendaries are pretty lame.
21000 votes… compared to the millions of other people casting multiple votes, does he realize how insignificant his contribution is? What an idiot.
there are 3 million registered copies of guild wars sold, 50% of them probaly dont play anymore or wont participate in cuthroat politics, 20% of that remaining 50% will only put in a handful of votes (less than 10) and more than half (from the public jabber iv heard) are voting for evon aswell……his 21 thousand votes is starting to look somewhat significant afterall!
The 3 million sales figure is 8 months old, your other ‘statistics’ are pulled out of thin air. Even if only 1 million votes were cast (its going to be way more than that), he would only have 2% of the total votes.

1) Downing in pvp
2) Talking to/Rezzing NPCs during combat when trying to loot. Takes forever to get out of the animation.
If they are going to be squeezing out mini-games every two weeks, we should at least be allowed to play them with our friends…
Please, make it so we can use this option in all major cities, not just WvWvW. I avoid going to LA as much as possible because of the lag, and the bugs associated with that lag (view stuck at the waypoint).
Seems like a lot of people here haven’t even tried it. If you have not tried upgrading T5 materials to T6 materials, you cannot have an opinion. Go try it for yourselves and you will notice a clear downward trend. Just because something is “random” (and its not, its algorithmic) doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any constraints acting on it.
Step 6) Get banned for exploiting.
Bonus Points) Get banned for exploiting BEFORE the bots get banned for botting.
How is killing bots exploiting?
Did you really ask that? How isn’t it? You are knowingly gaining currency via unintended means. Instead of reporting them and moving on, you are working with them to further your own progression. Essentially, you should consider yourself a bot if you are going to do this. You are also being detrimental to your server in WvW.
“You’re stealing from those who themselves are stealing the lifeblood from our city. You are a parasite—” – The Wire

Its already been stated by the dev that the forge is the only way to get them. However, they throw around so many half truths (like this thread, and the one about no DR on the forge), anything they say can be taken with a grain of salt at this point.
You probably did something foolish like called them out or started a petition; or something else against the code of conduct.
So it goes down with every event completed now? Wtf. That’s even worse. Even if it somehow ends up being more karma for X events; you are still wasting your time if you aren’t getting the full 378 reward.
But aside from that, I’d have to agree that even outside of the final boss in Arah explorable, Hundred Blades is the highest damage per second ability in the game.
It also leaves you completely vulnerable, immobile, and its extremely easy to wiff.
Am I the only one who imagines a fat neckbeard in a cat costume puking into a garbage can full of kleenex whenever someone cries about “hurts me to play, TEH PAINS!!!”?
Don’t mention it’s a nerf in map chat, you’ll get a bunch of people that don’t play rangers saying it’s not noticeable at all. Either Anet screwed up or they lied about the actual number for the nerf.
A bunch of people, in the Dragonbrand Fireheart Rise map chat? That was one person, me, and I am a ranger. Stop talking crap about people you know nothing about.
Granted I will admit it seems like they miscalculated, 40ms would not be noticeable, this is obviously not truly 40ms.

Glad I don’t play guardian anymore, that would bug the hell out of me.
These are some good changes. It would be nice if they would at least officially address some major problems though, like the abysmal drop rate of badges of honor.
Not sure I agree with stat bonuses, but I do agree that the commander rank needs to be earned through wvw, maybe with badges(a LOT of badges), not bought without outside gold. There are so many commanders who have no idea what they are doing.
This is ridiculous. The drop rate was horrible to begin with, now I can go hours and get literally nothing. Two hours in WvW last night and I come out with three badges, yes, three measly badges. So then I decide to try out the EB jumping puzzle, and I only get nine? What happened? It used to reward 18-20. . .
Loot in WvW needs to be placed into your inventory automatically. This will [however slightly] reduce lag, and it will allow people to focus on the task at hand rather than looking for(and possibly missing) loot.

Just go for karma in WvW by the time you have 210k for the 5/6 armor pieces, who knows, you might have enough badges for the helmet.
You can get the Orrian Temple karma sets, you will have to mix and match to get a full set of P/V/T, except for the helmet, which you need to get from WvW.
For jewelry you can craft an Emerald Pendant using the mystic forge, but as far as I know you will need to get the rings and earrings from WvW too.
I miss armor that actually looks good.
The average $60 video game has what, ~40 hours of game-play at the most (and in most cases is not worth replaying)? Guild Wars 2 has endless content, and with no subscription strings attached.
One thing I find absolutely hilarious is people whining about refunds after playing the game. That’s like eating a McDonald’s hamburger and trying to get your money back a week later.
This game is worth much more than $60, I feel like I ripped ANet off.

All rewards are susceptible to our code that is dealing with people who are speed clearing dungeons. This means that if you are speed clearing and then play some new chain for the first time it may not reward the full 60 tokens. If you find yourself getting less rewards consider whether or not your rate of dungeon completion is extremely high.
What is “speed clearing”? Right now it seems like you consider completing a single dungeon path in an efficient manor as “speed clearing”. Some people do not have all day every day to play, they want to get in and get out. The patch notes indicate these people are obligated to 180 tokens per day for running each path once. I do not understand how switching from one path to another can be even be considered as “speed clearing”, regardless of the time the previous path was completed in. This contradicts your patch notes.
If by chain you mean a completely different dungeon, I can support that. But if a group is good enough to quickly finish an entire tree they should not be penalized.
