While I see how the Acheivments do generate a little selfishness I have generally been enjoying the Snowball fight. The issue of Revive instead of Pick up is annoying to be sure- but it’s also annoying in PVE (Am I reviving the PC or the NPC under him? “I don’t Want to revive the PC right now, i need his gun/boulder/item to use against the big bad!”)
I agree the Clocktower was MUCH harder and therefore more fullfilling when I did complete it. But my mate is not so good at Jump puzzles and struggled with the Wintersday one.
Someone above suggested 3 tiers of difficulty. I think this is a great idea, it gives everyone to have that same feeling of satisfaction. Seems easy enough to do. For example the Easy version of this puzzle might have been to get to the exploding Toy box’s- while the mid one stays as it is now and a hard one either adds more jumps after that OR ramps the existing one up a bit more with higher damage and/or other elements like wind or moving platforms.
I find the tag’s very useful. You can absorb short 4-letter names quickly and I find myself noticing and recalling guild information more easily then in other MMO’s.
It depends on what you mean by late night, and what part of the world you are in.
My guild ‘Masters of Ascendance’ [MOA], based in Sorrows Furnace has a high portion of it’s players in Australia (or similar Time zones) So if you are in The US your late night might be our morning or afternoon.
We are a small guild, but we’re building and recruiting regularly. We do PVE WvW and Dungeons together and we are a social and supportive bunch. We play casually, although some of us (like me) put a lot of time into the game- it just means we play for fun and don’t get bogged down in regulated events (e.g. “Must be available to wvw ever Tuesday!”) or have lot’s of stupid rules (We don’t require you to represent the guild all the time).
If this sounds like it might be a fit for you, please message me- or send me a whisper in Game. Alternativly you can even go to our site, http://mastersofascendance.shivtr.com/ and check us out there.
A: An easy kill towards those 50 needed for your Monthly Achieve.
^^ What this guy said!
As for Chatting, we are a Frieidnly bunch when we are on. We also have Team Speak for dungeons and grouped events if people want to use it.
Hi MrFrog, My Guild is Based out of Sorrows furnace, And we’d love to have you.
We are called Masters of Ascendance [MOA] and we a small recently created guild. We have a relaxed attitude and we are supportive and encourage Guild members to to PVE, Dungeon/ WVW (or whatever) together.
We have NO restrictions on how much you have to represent either, if you need to do something with another guild- that’s fine by us.
If you are interested please either give me a whisper in game, or Check out our site http://mastersofascendance.shivtr.com/.
Hope to see you soon.
Hi Gobb.
My Guild is Called Masters of Asendance [MOA] and we are based in Sorrows Furnace. We are still very small (but growing) but we are freindly and supportive. We don;t have any rules ‘banning’ you from being with other guilds or Demanding you use Voice chat- We just ask that you represent our guild when you do activities with us so we can all benefit from the guild Influence (Which I think is a reasonable request).
Your age and Aspergers are by no means an issue. And It would be nice to have another person who plays regularly.
We do like running dungeons and Fractals, but we don’t have a commuted schedules or anything like that, we take a more Casual approach. If you interested in finding more out about us either drop be a line in game, or come look at our Website http://mastersofascendance.shivtr.com/
I undertand you have a restriction on sending to much mail in a short time most likely as a precaution to stop SPAM and Gold Farmer, But it’s extremely low limit impacts your legitimate players.
For example.
I join a Group to go and Run AC, and I think “oh goody I can get use off some of those Undead Slaying Potions I have 100’s of”. So I split my stack and start mailing them to Party members (Since there is no ‘Trade’ Mechanic). I send the first 2 players mail without a problem, but by the time I get to the 3rd player I get a message “You have exceeded the mail limit for this time”.
So Now before I split food/Potions or any other resources with my party I have to Split the stack in half and have the next guy split his stack and mail the rest on. This is an annoying process which often leaves me explaining that there is a mail limit and why I have to go to Elaborate lengths to distribute useful items before anyone agrees to help.
PLEASE ANet, If you’re not going to introduce a Trade system can you please either Raise the Limit on Mail to 4 or allow Mail between people in a party to not count towards the limit!
You wouldn’t need to remove it from the game, you could still Leave the MF Booster, Guild Banner and any other non-equipment MF buff which doesn’t negate having other useful Buffs in it’s place.

Quick Notes: Australian Based Guild: we encourage Aussies to apply but we accept people from any Time Zone.
Hi there. My Guild- Masters of Ascendance [MOA] is an Australian Based Guild.
Both me and the other Guild Leader are Local Brisbanites and although I’ve been accepting members from anywhere I’ve been trying to focus on people who share a similar Time Zone. It sucks getting on to play in a big guild and finding all the American Guildies are off sleeping!
The guild is Relaxed and Casual, We have no policies about how much you have to represent the guild or any of the other ridiculous and restrictive rules going about these days.
We are very small at the moment, having only started a few weeks ago. But I’m on very often and with just a few more Aussies we could be a lively active guild! We ARE friendly and willing to do team ups for just about anything. We do a lot of PVE but also WvW, PVP, Exploring and Dungeons: We’ve been quite into the New Fractals since their relase and would love to have more guildies to come on those runs.
We have a Guild Bank and a Team Speak account, but no one is Required to use it- but it’s there if you’d like to chat.
If that sounds interesting Come and chat or check out our Guild Webpage, http://mastersofascendance.shivtr.com/
(I unfortunatly probably won’t be online tonight, But Feel free to whisper GeekOnaught.4571, he’s the other Guild Leader)
Hi.
It only takes one person to make a Guild, but I can tell you from my own experience- Recruiting for a new guild is HARD. And you need a few members in order to get influence so you can have the nice perks like a Guild Bank and your own guild Emblem (unless you spend loads of gold).
If you are interested in Coming over to Sorrows Furnace Our guild might suit your Tatstes. While we do a bit of everything the thing we do the most is just PVE. We’re Social and friendly and new active members this early in the guilds development are likely to get opportunities to help shape our still-new guild.
We’re Called Masters of Ascendance [MOA].
Hey, Does Anyone know of any Australian Stores carrying the GW2 Gem Cards?
Yeh the Websites just a way for me to add people who’ve shown interest even if we’re not both online at the same time. But I will be online tonight so I’ll look out for you.
Maybe they should give you an “Are you Sure Yes/No” Box when promoting someone above you?
Hi. I have a small Guild in Sorrows Furnace called Masters of Ascendance. We’re looking for members if you are interested.
I can guarantee that while me and my other Guild Leader are on we are chatty and like to do Dungeons and PVE with anyone who want’s to join us. We use Team Speak sometimes, but often just use Guild Chat.
If your interested whisper Me in game, or Drop us a line at our Guild Website http://mastersofascendance.shivtr.com/

Regarding The Lost Shores
1. While The buggyness was frustrating and it seemed unnecessary to Cram it all into a single weekend I REALLY enjoyed it. Killing the Ancient Karka was very satisfying and The hight rewards seemed appropriate to the intensity of the final event.
I appreciate that you’re aware of the bugs and that you’re working on this, but I hope you decide to extend this event a little. with it only lasting one weekend having a bag that stops people progressing the event’s story means the window of opportunity to complete it has gotten even shorter.

This seems like a reasonable and Practical Idea. I support it.
Also You can request to be added on our Guild Site: http://mastersofascendance.shivtr.com
A small change that could be made would be to either A/ Allow the LEgendary to have more the one upgrade (boost? not sure of my terminology here) applied to it or B/ make it the same as the other weaon but with a unique Quality. Something like ‘chance on Critical to summon an undead warrior allie for 10 seconds.’
But only once you have have already discovered them I’d say.
What it Says At the moment is Very clear. Again I put it down to my Brain Fart. Thank you.
OMG, Facepalm! I feel like such an idiot. Thank you, and sorry for taking up your time with my brainfart.

Quick Notes: Just starting out, Welcomes new Players
After having issues with other guilds demanding I represent only them 100% of the time, I decided To make my own Guild. One built on community rather then strict rules.
We are looking for members who enjoy freedom within their guild. Players who are Friendly, supportive and WANT to build a community. We are friendly to new players, and ahppy to answer your questions and lend a hand as you learn the ropes.
We don’t have a lot of perks yet, but we will appreciate those who join early and help us build this new guild from the ground up.
If this interests you then send one of us a Whisper and We’ll invite you in.
And thank you for getting back to me.
Yes, still an issue. I just tried a New post in the Guild Forum and was told Only 50 characters were aloud.
Below is what I attempted to post. I have taken a screen shot of the error message if you would like me to send it to you.

is this a bug? 50 characters is not enough!
I assume this question is ment as ‘Are they raceist towards the other Tyrian Races?’
I say, Maybe a little: But mostly no.
While I Think at cursory Glance they may come off this way I think it’s because Asura are Driven, Self assured (kitteny and arogant at times even) and often oblivious to anything that’s NOT part of their current task.
This means they often seem to be looking down on, or dismissive of, others, but I think this applies to everyone. Not just the other Races, All people who are not the particular Asura in question. They tend to be as rude to each other as they are to other races.
While there are defiantly a few examples of individual Asuran Racism (“I was going to make a bad Salad Joke, but….”) I think that these are the notable exceptions and that the race in general are simply a but egotistical rather then racist.
OK, aside from this idea being ridiculous I have to ask something.
Why do you Care if other people are using this (so called) Exploit. Anet doesn’t care and it’s there game. They made it. If you don’t want to use the Lions arch/Mists shortcut then don’t, but why do we have to suffer for your strange POV.
Seriously reminds me of thoose Fandamental groups trying to tell other people not to do something just because they don’t want to do it themselves.
Keep it so your always activating a power (not including you’re weapn’s primary #1 attack), if your weapon’s 2-5 attacks are on Cool Down, switch weapons and/or use your #7-10 powers.
And yes movement is vital.
I’d be fine if they were just timed, or if they were included in your number 3 downed ability- so when you explode all your Reserve Mines went off also. As they stand at the moment they just seem to do nothing. I have Literally never noticed them go off.
Is it just me or are ‘Reserve Mines’ Useless. They’re the 3rd Talent along the Explosives Talent Tree (or second ‘fixed’ Talent if you will).
When they activate they mines just sit there flashing, I have never seen them go off! Am I missing something, its there some special way to trigger them? At the moment they just seem like window dressing.
I assume this is exactly the sort of process they are already using.
Walks in To Local Video Game Store.
“Hi I’d like to Buy ‘Splatman Darcum Nation’”
“Sure, that’ll be $50”
“I’d like to buy All the Explore points, missions, Stories, collectables, Acheiviments too please”
“Thats an additional $40”
“Thanks”
Goes home, loads game, presses play. “GAME COMPLETED” Presses eject, tosses game in the bin.
>>Seriously this is the Entire game. What is the point of buying a completed Game? I understand the argument of Buying in Game Currency to make things a bit easier, But what is the point of buying your way to the end of a game? It’s not like there’s a Trophy or Prise money.
The point of playing a Game is to play it. IF you don’t want to play it, keep you money.
While you’re entitled to your oppinion, I just Don’t see an issue. Are you switching between weapons in Combat? Because If you blow all your #1 Weapons attacks, switch to #2 weapon, Blow those CD’s then activate your Non-weapon skills you can switch back to your first weapon to find all your abilities ready to use again. Unless your fighting a big group or a Veteran the enemy would also likely be dead by this point too.
Personally I would be upset if they started added more buttons to press in combat, I think this game has found a Good balance with 10 actions, plus 5 on the alternate weapon (And Combos). The idea suggested above with weapons having a ‘skill tree’ could be an interesting notion though, I know I have often chosen not to use an otherwise awesome weapon because it has one ability I just don’t like. Even still I wouldn’t want to Tamper with this to much , Like I said- they have a Good balance going.
I don’t think Travel should be Cheeper or Free. I find that paying for use of the Way points causes me to plan out my actions more carefully and weigh up cost vs. time or be choosy about which WP I use. I find this is mostly a good thing, Plus the points made by others here about Economy and minimising server-strain are Valid.
What I think might be a beneficial change however would be to allow a once per ‘X’ minutes free Use of your NEAREST way point. This could help with the cost of dieing (repair costs are enough as it is) as well as getting out of being ‘stuck’ (unable to move out of the environment). Might not be feasible, But I think it’s a more fare system then just saying it should all be free.
I played this mission recently on my Asura Guardian. I certainly agree it was hard, it took me several attempts before I could succeed, but it’s not impossible. For one you can dodge the big attack so pop a ranged weapon and keep moving.
It was definatly one of the hardest story solo’s I’ve faced, But It’s not impossible. Also, have you tried asking someone to go in with you if your finding it so hard?
