No I don’t think so. Adventures have really upset me alot (locking mastery behind content designed for 12 year olds). I love raiding in most games, have done so since everquest 1 launched, but the raid here so far seems designed around 1 hardcore guild rather than the general population. Raids should be difficult, but that difficulty should be progressive and not hardcore on the first boss. Overall I think HoT is fun, but I think it was not designed for the average player, those players have been marginalized.
(subject to change of course, if Anet does alot of balancing and reworking, then I would probably preorder an expansion)
The adventures are great and there are many other ways to get your mastery points.
Even then, if you can’t get at least silver after a couple of tries, you really should consider stepping up your game.

You not really need lv 161 honestly. I mean itzel and nuhoch last tier is not needed for any collection. (what’s the point of nuhoch last tier anyway.) that’s 24 mastery save.
But if you really need it. I don’t think you need to gold everything and silver is easy enough once you learn to do it. (Except noscope gallery and golem one.)
My recommend tactic is throw your bad mood away and have fun playing it.
You need them for gifts for new legendary weapons I believe.
I like them alot. I love mini games and think some of these are really fun, especially bugs in the branches. Im glad you can sort of do them with a friend too.
Personally I like i can earn mastery points for playing them. Something id like to know though is if its necessary to do the challenges to get enough points to unlock everything. If its 100% necessary id agree that its not a good system, but if they can be ignored, and enough points can be earned elsewhere I dont see the problem.
You need to do them if you want 100 percent mastery completion. I saved these for last and is no way around it.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a guild doesn’kitten The issue is that the raids force people into taking only specific people with specific class-damage types.
This is an issue with raid design, not the guilds. They made it so only certain classes with certain build can have any hope of winning this (insert whatever) raid. Now people who have played the game for years, but not in a desired specialized class-role, are left behind. I have most classes so get invites, but I see so many friends left in the wind and people already leaving the guild. I have raided in many games since everquest 1 launched, this by far is the worst design.
To me, eotm is a place to go when there isnt enough on for regular wvw or the match up is craptastic (70 percent of the time for us lately). Changing it to a regular wvw map would mean there is no purpose at all for it.
Don’t feel alone, it happens several times a day to me. Fun expansion, hardly worth playing with this going on though. Would not have bought it had known this would happen.
Considering you crash nearly every event, you can spend an hour doing a meta and crash and lose everything since can’t return to map. Such fun Anet…Yeah merge this with the other threads, delete it, ignore it, not really caring much right now.
Several people in my guild including myself have received fake ingame mail from a GM En Fighte with a link to go to in order to prevent your account being shut down. Please Anet, find this person and remove him from existence, or at least from the game. Others, please do not follow his instructions, at the bottom of the mail you can see it says it was sent from another player and not the Guild Wars Team.
Will the bunny ears ever come back into the game? ; _ ;
What a lot of people don’t realize, is they can’t come back. Because the system that used them is no longer available.
You guys forget, Bunny Ears were Town Clothing. They were never an armor skin for you to purchase. Now that they scrapped the whole Town Clothing feature, and turned most Town Clothing into Tonics, a lot of those old items are unavailable now.
In order for them to “come back”, they would have to make a new version of them. They can’t just reintroduce the old ones, as the old ones were Town Clothing, not an armor skin. The only reason us “veteran” players have them, is cause of the conversion of our head wear to armor skins when they made the change. They never actually made an actual Bunny Ears armor skin item for you to purchase. You had to of bought the Bunny Ears as Town Clothing before the change in order to have them now.
So in order for you to get them now, they’d have to make a completely new item using that skin. So they wouldn’t really “come back”, it would be a new item that was never there before.
You are mistaken. The item does exist and the codes are still there. While it did start out as town clothes it was later converted to a skin and exists to this day. Anet even eluded to the fact they will be returning as they are a particularly cute item. I for one want them greatly for my baby asura who love to roleplay as dragons and bunnies! Yes, I love roleplay and my characters love roleplay

Sadly, this will go ignored, as most users would rather complain about it on the internet, then to use the actual solutions available to them such as the in game ignore and report features. Sorry, but “this is the internet” is a perfectly valid excuse, because you have every option and tool in the world to be able to not deal with people you dont like.

Yes but I am just as concerned with preventing someones daughter to be subject to this kind of language as well. It is easy to walk away from problems, but it solves nothing.

If it is truly harassment directed at certain people and not just normal sex-on-the-net talk I would make sure to screencap it and mail it to Anet in a support ticket as that would be unacceptable.
However, as we’ve seen in the media, sex on even the most basic level gets this response from people but blood, gore and death doesnt even make them flinch.
Well I am not a prude, it takes a lot to truly offend me and wouldn’t report people for innocent mature conversation. But the chat of late far surpasses that.
Teens are minors, 18 is the age of majority. But that notwithstanding, I am an adult and was forced to leave the map due to a person abusing me personally with sexual grossness just because he was bored and guessed I was indeed female.
During the past week myself and other female players have been subject to disgusting and very abusive map chat and harassment(mostly in eotm). I have made some reports (as others have) but wanted to post here too (without names). How in the world would anyone think it appropriate to discuss sexual things and some rather perverted and abusive sexual things in map chat? This needs to end fast as we do have minors playing the game with us!
AP is a useless thing, used by elitists to artificially measure other players. There should be no other incentive associated with AP farming than those already awarded. I mostly WvW (but have done alot of pve), so my AP is under 10k (as WvW is subpar in the AP department). But I would challenge the notion any of these AP farmers are better at anything in the game simply because they farm AP, thus are entitled to even more things.

Anyone who would say something so disgusting as your pvp example needs a perma ban, no questions asked. I think that the cure to most MMO problems people have is to find a nice guild and do things with them.
I made 55 gold on it after selling the ectos I won on trader. I won’t go back and try again, will take the win and not get sucked into a cycle that will eventually take it all back!
I have either really terrible luck today, or salvaging rares with master kits is broken. I have played GW2 since it launched and know about randomness, but after breaking about 10 rares and not seeing one ecto today, it seems way out of the norm. So am I having terrible luck or have others experienced this today?
Everquest and Everquest 2 have always done the same, buy an expansion and get previous expansions and core game included. It has helped keep those games going for 16 years. Anet is not doing anything wrong here, this move will just bring in more players and keep this game going strong, as the practice as done for the eq franchise. What you paid for the core game years ago was well worth it with all the free updates we have had anyway. Be happy and enjoy the upcoming content (which would be better with bunny ears-release them please)
I think it a great thing. Ascended takes alot of effort to make so the payoff should be reflected in that. It is not gamebreaking in the least and gives players something more to aim for.
Please stop making us Asura females wear male armour, its ugly and its offensive. You keep depriving of us the most beautiful things, like butterflies or the new Dwayna outfits lovely sweeping wings (instead we have wings coming out of our breasts like a stripper!) Meh.
Real world issues do not need to be reflected in a game, nor should they. If people find empowerment in a game, they need to take a closer look at their lives. If something like your suggestion were to happen, I assure you it would not have the desired result. It would just be a tool in which to ridicule the very people you wish to include.

Travel is so easy in this game with all the WP’s, I think mounts are unnecessary. But that said, I know alot of people enjoy them and I don’t see how they could break the game, ergo The Asuran Dominion is in favor. I could see having fun riding around upon a golems shoulder like our lovely little Taimi does.
