Dungeons in Gw2 and Raids are completly different things.
AS you said, GW2 has just removed the raiding and kept the boring gearing up part with Dungeons, except, once you get it, theres nothing to use it for then prancing around in your new dress. Its just very meaningless, which you kinda felt while you were leveling up aswell. “why should i hit 80? theres nothing waiting for me there anyways”

1. Dungeons are short, you make 10+ runs every day, it gets very tedious. Your only 5 players in a group.
2. Raids takes 1 and often more then 1 days to complete, you do it as a guild or “raid” 12+ players. The raids are longer, has more variation, and feels like much more of an achievement.
3. Important to me but not to everyone, beating the encounters in raids before everyone else on your server, is an achievemtn on its own and gives your guild good rep and boosts the morale of the guild.
4. The rewards in raids are usually better then other stuff you can find in the game.

I actually think they could have raids and gear with stats for PvE and a seperate set for WvW without stats as they did with sPvP.
Maybe then the game will last a bit longer. As it is now i already see less and less people logg in, theres not even a overflow in most zones on my server which is the most populated one. There just arent anything to do then crafting, getting 100% map, spvp and wvw.

Unfortunally it will be very hard to add any raids in GW2, becouse there no tanking, healing, dps trinity. Everyone would just run around all over the place kiting the bosses.

I play mostly staff so i dont know about other weapon setups.

But as a ele, its very hard to actually get any attack on your enemy in WvW unless their standing exactly still on the same spot.

Enemies doesnt even have to evade, the animation of fireball for example, is so slow, by the time it “lands” the enemy has moved away from it, not even by doding it, If your trying to chase someone using fireball, you wont hit them if they dont run exatly straight forward.
This goes for most of the NR1 skills in the elementalist staff arsenal.

At the same time, it seems like arrows are homing in on your enemies ALOT more, you cant outmanuver arros the way you can with ele spells.

Some ingredients have become way to hard to get after the removed them from karma vendors

In EU thers only 300 up in total on the TP

Some other ingredients that should be put back on the vendor is eggs, black peppercorn or the apples which there are 0 of on the TP

Anet was brave to make it only skinbased, but i dont think it will hold.

The players that keeps the game flaoting and expanding are the players that wants character progression, gear and other rewards.
Without “raids” to keep people trying to achieve content as larger groups for months, theres really not much to mmos nowadays then looking at pixalated flowers and clouds.
And no, there havent been any bigger mmos that arent about getting better gear.

Best Server to transfer to for WvW?

No please, not MORE players to FS…
Youll be in queues for hours, and during weekdays, the quality on the players there is severly lacking. Its really really bad with all the server transfers.
It really sucks out all your will to WvW with all the bad players there now.

The only time during the week that FS cares about WvW is during the weekend.
The rest of the week we dont bother to much becouse Vizunah just nightcaps and there no way for us to keep up.

During this whole weekend we were in lead during the days, then Viz nightcaps, we had to take back the lead during the day, then Viz nightcaps again.
Only differance is, during weekends, we can hold he nightcapping back a bit.

Cant remember really but wasent it also that you could only “equip” a couple of realmabilites, so even if you had enough points, you couldnt use them all?

80% of the people went to do RvR to get realmranks and realmabilites, anything else is just BS.

Character progression, that is what drives people to keep on playing.
WvW has nothing of that, its quite meanigless fighting week after with week with no rewards, exactly as i knew it would be, and what was said during the beta stage.

ANet did really think that sPvP would be the kind ov PvP most people would want to do, thats quite hillarious.

Hopefully ANet will reevaluate WvW and bring something more rewarding into the game.
People can say “just do it for fun” all they want, but it wont hold.
Ive been in WAY to many mmos to know this by now.

*Realm ranks you could actually see on your enemy
*Realmabilites for character progression
*Skills based on sieging
*A more thrilling way to defend/take relics/orbs
*Keeps with guards that actually had your guilds name if you claimed it, and gave your guild warnings when it was under attack.
*Realmpoints for your guild holding a keep as long as possible
*Join when you want, no queues, hundred of player at same area.

WvW has alot of things going for it, but it can become so much better.

Why should we, players that havebeen on the same server since BWE1 move becouse alot of glory seekers comes to our server and ruins any consistancy in players and wvw groups we have?

Basicly every quality wcw player that spends alot of time in wvw and already well known on fs thinks the situation is getting kinda out of hand.

With all the free transfers, Far Shiverpeaks is SO overcrowded.
Everyone goes here becouse were the top tier English speaking server.
For the “glory”

I queued up at 15:00 and got in at 21:00, and when you get in, the zone is filled with players that shouldnt even do WvW in the first place. Theres noone following the people trying to lead, people use up all the supplies in SM all the time etc.
For 6 hours, we didnt even get reinforced walls up.

I call them PvE swarmers, people that have no mind on their own but just follow the big zerg. How many times havent Red and Green captured our camps from us, then the “swarm” show up, capture it back, and then just leave it for you to capture again?
Or the mindless drones shooting arrows at people standing on walls in SM…
Or when SM gets overtaken and they try to take it back with 10 players.
Noone picks up supplies in camp, only in keeps.
Noone buys sieges, so were hitting gates without anything..quite pathetic.
Ive spent SO much money on siege equipment but its kinda meh when your the only one doing it.

Its just getting more and more of them for each day becouse of the transfers.

lol its you and the other 2 that work together. Why is it that when FS hold SM, we always get attacked by both sides, but when Viz hold SM, the third side almost never attack?

Or when we attack your border, the third ones always attack us. The times Riverside/desolation actually attack any of your keeps is VERY sparse.
Every time we try attacking SM, Deso/River always seems to show up to defend you.
Both sides even go through the trouble to cross the whole map, just so they can capture s ingle camp. I hardly ever see Viz camps get overtaken by red.
We have to run back and forth between our camps becouse their constantly under attack from both sides.

Today you couldnt take SM back, so you attacked our keep to get us away from SM just so Riverside could capture SM from us, but we took it back 5 min later.

FS are better when its evenly populated, we have to catch up the points you get during nightcapping, and during the day when its even, we always lead.

Nug wasent even doing that much WvW this weekend, it was mostly random, still we beat you.

This happens all the time on my server aswell.

All 3 sides gathered at lord room, i cant activate my skills at all and enemies dont spawn.

Thats on the 3 most populated servers so it gets kinda silly, theres no skill involved.

Why night capping is fair and why you shouldn't complain about it.

Problem is when server A B and C are in tier 1 and only server A have players playing during the night of all servers.

B and C will be stuck with loosing to server A over and over becouse server D and E still cant beat server B and C becouse they dont have any night players either.

Maybe they “fixed” the rest of the dungeons.

I got the old network error and unable to rejoin my group..error yesterday so maybe they fixed that.

I think alot of people knew there wouldnt be any gear grinding or raiding.

Problem is, that most thought ANet would have something else for us, but there arent.
Its just like any other mmo – the raiding. So theres much less.

WvW is borked with the nightcapping and queues, sPvP gets tedious after 10 rounds.

Other then that, there just completing 100% of the map and doing the massive dungeons grind, which was the boring part in traditional mmos and a thing you had to do to gear up for tier 1 raiding in the first place.

I hope ANet comes up with something, becouse right now, i thought SWToR had little endgame content, but ANet beat them. Everything feels very meaningless in GW2, you not getting anything or doing anything for anything other then looks.

Yes, fun for me is character progression, beating hard content with my friends and boasting, i knew GW2 wouldnt have much of that but i expected something else waiting for me at 80 to keep me going.

Six Easy Steps to Fix Elementalist

All skills in Staff need its damage increased by atleast 50%, and as OP says, the animation timers needs a serious reduce.
Even using eveyrhintg you have, changing attunements to use all skills in you have available, you have to do it with 4 times the effort of any other class, and still do less damage.

Even Meteor Shower needs some changing, most of the time you dont hit anything becouse of the meteors having to hit your target.

When rangers barrage hits about the same damage as meteor shower, their ST long range shot hits for twice the damage and with basicly no cd and rapid fire hits for same damage as your fireball but 5 times as fast, its kinda borked. All that at longer range then any other ele skill.

Metoer Shower has such an insane long activation animation its almost impossible to use at siege defending, you get gunned down by rangers before you even manage to cast the skill.

Well maybe you were drunk or not watching properly. I will repeat it again, friday night, VS was ahead 5K point. After night we lost point and FS dominated 10K. Then during day, we reduced it to 7K, despite the presence of all the FS big guilds.

Tell me how does it show FS dominated. And yesterday night during prime time as you call it, we enever moved from number 1 position.

But as I said, it seems you are all convinced you are the best, so Anet should really give you these 1.000.000 points at every reset, so you are always first, and stop your forum bullkitten.

PS : even players from FS, who actually play the night, said you have players, they are just too busy puzzle jumping or whine on chat.

We at FS have given up, we know we cant win with all this nightcapping.
I see even more players during the night from VS that i see during the day, just becouse they want easy points.

We only go to EB now becouse its the only map where you dont get spawncamped.

It was even in EB the whole day. We had a massive battle in SM where FS held out against both VS and Deso attacking from both sides for 2-3 hours.
Strange thing is, when VS took it back, Deso didnt attack it, at all. Conspiracy theories there.
Then BAM at 2am massive VS zerg took over all keeps while Desolation did absolutly nothing, while you took over our keeps, they didnt even attack your front. We had maybe 10 players defending our keep, while you had around 70 attacking.

1 hour later, it was back to 100% on all maps, all orbs, and spawncamping.

And here we go again Far Shiverpeaks Vs Vizunah Sqaure.

Classes more focused on ST seem to get more lootbags then AoE classes that gets their damage spread around multiple targets.

Ive spent loads of time in WvW, hitting loads of enemies with AoE as an elementalist, but i have not had to many bags and only around 50 honor badges.

Rangers is the fotm class in WvW, it has the longest range so you can chase down enemies running quite easily, aswell as hitting players from keeps further then anyone else.

Everyone and their dogs seems to be a ranger.

The fact is, VZ continuously gets more points than FS on daytime, as shown this week-end. FS was only ahead because of nightcapping, and it only took one night and two days to overthrow this “unfair” advantage (okay, nightcapping is worse during weekdays than weekends, lets say its even…)

You didnt have an advantage during the day either, it was quite even, but for once, FS could compete during the night since people didnt have work to go up to the next day.
There were alot more people from alot of guilds, including mine, fighting in WvW.
As soon as it turned sunday night, and FS people had to go to sleep to go to work on monday, it all turned to normal, where Vizunah nightcapped and started camping FS spawncamp in all zones

Are elementalists strong/viable in PvE?

Actually, I expected to die near instantly when I chose the light armor class that flings fireballs. I expect to die instantly when I gear out totally for power/precision/crit damage.

What I don’t expect is my friend who plays next to me to play his warrior, be able to take a good number of hits, and then hit a few buttons and his giant greatsword of doom makes my elementalist look like he’s shooting fireworks.

Ele – kite kite kite, get hit by some kind of ranged necro attack ,loose 50% of your health, get slowed, kite some more. adds. your dead

Warrior – ah, theres 4 mobs. press 5, hundred blades, enemies dead.

Other classes has better AoEs, better ST AND better survivability. Atleast as the squishiest class in the game, eles should have the highest dps.

Also, Eles should have just as long range as rangers. Squishier, not as high ST, but cant hit nearly as far.

Like we dont have queues?, i was queued up the whole day during the weekend and didnt get int. People are autorunning into walls to not get dc, dont know if that works but i see it alot.

I see ALOT more player on Vizunah from the same guild then i see FS players

The topic about Vizunah nightcapping everything during the night, having alot of French Canadians, filling the walls with siege weapons and upgrading everything while the other 2 servers are asleep has been something Vizunah players have denied over and over.

This weekend Friday-Sunday, Far Shiverpeaks proved it. Since FS could play through the whole night, we held the lead during the whole weekend.

What happened during the night to monday? Far Shiverpeaks players had to go to sleep early, Vizunah captures all, takes all orbs, upgrades all keeps, fills the walls with sieges, and gets over 40k points during night, passing Far Shipverpeaks in the lead.

I think it also have to do with theg ame beeing quite meaningless. While you lvl up you kinda think, what am i going to do when i get to max lvl? To not have anything thats waiting for you, is a big disencouragement.

The holw leveling progress is the same, explore 100% of the map, move to next map, explore 100% of that one. You dont really feel a part of the “map”, its just a place to kill random mobs and gather nodes

What we want to see next.

Its mainly the Staff that is vastly underpowered.
People judge it mainly based on one skill, Meteor shower. “omg meteor shower kills me in wvw”
While its actually not true, it just has a more visible effect, people dont “see” the arrow carts, ranger aoes, or other classes aoes that is also hitting them.

Apart from that, the rest of the staff skills are quite weak, ther actually arent that much CC in staff as people beleive, and most of them have a VERY short duration.
Also theres only 2 healing skills, with quite long cooldowns at that.

Almost every other class outdamages the staffuser if they use a dps build, yet elementalist are by far the squishiest class. Without using earth elemental, your dead if you get more then 2 mobs on you.

Also, for osme reason, the aoe skills seem to have HUGE agro generation.
As soon as you start using any of your AoEs, every mob comes running for you, that is something that should be changed.

Theres also the fact that most of the staff skills are groudn targeted, meaning enemies often run out of the attacks, for example, your meteor shower. Its not like you want to stand still taking the hits as aan elementalist, so you start kiting, and since mobs are fster then you, you need to kite…alot.
At the same time, other classes can use their aoes on the run, AoEs that does more damage at that, and have more ST damage, more HP, more toughness, more power, and higher crit chance.

Its kinda meh when i logg on my warrior, and he has more points in every stat, with basicly the same gear.

Guild Wars 2 is a really good game
But if it had raiding, it would be twice as good for me

The only end game content there really is, is WvW and sPvP

You can grind your armorsets, but its only for the sake of grinding, theres no real advantage getting them other then looks

Not everyone likes to run around all over the place watching the harvest nodes grow, alot of people, actually the majority, wants to progress their character

People are using the argument “you dont have all sets on your character” its kinda like like the “you havent completed all character stories” argument SWToR fanboys used, and that didnt end to well.

There is alot of stuff in GW2, but its alot of the same, you just choose which dungeon your going to grind today,

Both players and developers shoud get used to the idea that people will “play to get to maxlvl” fast, that wont change, and it has always been like that. The only differance is how hard it is to get there.

GW2 has alot of potential though, and i hope they are thinking about endgame aswell and come up with some nice ideas.

WvWvW will always be for casuals. Any game that allows advantages in any form in a pvp scenario is for casuals. PvP is about 1 thing. Skill VS Skill best wins. Till that happens WvWvW is for casuals/hanging out with your friends nothing else.

As an elementalist i want one spec for WvW, one spec for soloing and one spec for grouping

Having to go to a trainer to retrait over and over is kinda tedious

Its ok if it were the 2 weakest servers making an alliance against the strongest.
But when the strongest makes an alliance with the weakest to secure their frist place and “promosing” the weakest server a second place if they help them, is quite pathethic.

Your job in Nine Worlds is to keep up the good reputation of the guild. It is not a demand to be online 24 hours a day, just when you are to join in with the community.

My g15 keeps resetting after ive alt tabbed out of the game.
Ive tried uninstalling the logitech drivers and reinstalling, nothing helps.
