YB doesn’t realize it yet, but after seasons are over, they’re most likely going to be put into match up’s against FA and SBI, I can tell you right now… YB will get focused hard by SBI when leagues are over, I’m also sure that FA isn’t going to hand hold them either and god help EB if they’re ever thrown into a matchup again with SBI.

That’s fine. We’ve lost to you before and will do it again. I mean, we do not have problems suiciding off of cliffs to deny kills when a server’s k-train rolls in. I’m sure you will chest thump and talk about how better you are than us now that you have your 4+ hour queues. It’ll be ok! I also know that we won’t be pulling over time like we did this week in that future match up and will play like regular.

So, gun for us. If it makes you feel better that is all good. Yaks will still remember this week and the fun that was had and your vets will lament the lack of good fights.

Well done YB and EB. I think today shows pretty undeniable proof that this is a planned 2v1. And today is the day where YB is gonna spoon feed EB points. I hope you guys know how bad you are making your servers look. I’m thankful that when my server had the opportunity to 2v1 to get in gold everyone shouted no because we wanted to get there on our own merits. Regardless of how this week pans out I’m extremely proud of my server. We may not make 2nd but at least we didn’t need help to get there. =)

The only thing that bugs me is that SBI seems to have become the ‘big bad guy’ when we’re just another server trying to win. How did we become so disliked, a few forum comments aside?

Personally, I think it is because so many guilds transferred to you for an “easy win” in the leagues. Your forum warriors have just made it worse with the chest thumping and QQ’ing….especially in this match-up.

If you really want to stretch it: SBI has way more casuals than anybody else that gladly jump on the bandwagon for wins but duck out by the week if they’re losing – especially if they have anything better to do. In which case be proud: your server is the most fickle server in terms of extremes.

It’s been an intense week, and SBI is definitely worthy of their position on the ladder… but its like SBI is insulted to be losing to YB… and no one respects a garbage attitude like that.

Unfortunately, I believe that to be true. I wish we could get people to show up, because that would make this week amazing, instead of just fun. Imagine if we were all fielding the same numbers at the same time, and our PPT was 1-5k apart? I know that with the unbalance on the servers that will probably never happen, but in the old days, those were always the best matchups.

I’m big on respect… anyone who runs with me or by my tag knows this..
Having said that… It IS still insulting to lose to yaks. BECAUSE SBI IS a better, stronger, more organized server. We not winning at the moment… But not because we didn’t open the week with a huge lead… not because of supply wasting trolls… definitely not because Yaks is better….
But because we are fielding 50% of what we normally do. EBG is almost ALWAYS a 1 hour que… there is no que.. SBI BL is normally QUED.. again.. no que.. The other 2 BL’s are normally medium que.. also… NO QUE.

We are missing ALOT of players. Yet still yaks wants to talk smack like they’ve beaten us straight up. They talk as if They have overcome the big RED SBI MACHINE.
They haven’t. They been beating up on pugs, militia and a handful of Die hard WvW guys.

So its nothing to be proud of but, by all means… brag away lol.

Nope, you never told me about that time! We had one of those too, held the golems for ransom, in fact and then jumped them off of Hills when it was obvious no one would pay (or was really paying attention since garrison was being hit at the time). I think that one was a home grown clown, though.

True…but with SoR, that’s server transfers in the middle of the season. This one isn’t. It just has to do with normal player fluctuations, server unity and chutzpah lol

You know….I wanted to win this week so badly or at least have it so close it comes down to Thursday night/Friday. You know why I wanted to win? Because it would be a total upset to the league. It would be like the underdog winning. Before the leagues started the highest someone saw us at was 4th but most saw us at 5th or 6th. It’s amazing to be 3rd but a possible 2nd!? Wow, just wow.

I wanted to show that while it is a numbers game, there can still be amazing fights, amazing defenses and it doesn’t have to be a rollover. It can be close with interesting strats and different sets of people working towards the same goal ALL day long.

But these “spies” just ruin it. I don’t care if they are from a different server or if they’re home grown and just spiteful. Either way they aren’t funny or cute or anything.

If this is normal behavior for T1, then I never want to get up there.

I don’t know why Ebay and Yak are denying that, at least to some extent, there’s cooperation between them. My guess is that not everyone is in on it but for those of you who don’t know, it’s happening and it’s really, really obvious. There are actually fights where Ebay and Yak will catch a SBI zerg in a pincer, wipe them and then go off in seperate directions. It’s kinda weird to watch. XD

That being said, I don’t think this is unjustified. I remember when some of the people on our server took advantage of SoR trying to fix the score by allowing us to cap towers and keeps that they took out. Those that took part in this can hardly kitten about what’s going on right now, right?

What’s more, this week so far has really highlighted SBI’s major flaw: by and large, we tend to play like mindless pugs. Everyone likes bags, everyone likes to fight (and our guilds are excellent at it) but there’s more to scoring than that. Things like sieging, running supply, escorting yaks, scouting and sentry duty — you know, the things that the great servers do? — well, that’s somebody else’s problem. It’s killing us now just like it did in week one against FA. And it should. If you don’t want to do the dirty work, you don’t deserve to win.

It’s not cooperation in the context you mean. From Yaks point of view, when those things happen it is because we don’t want to get distracted from the true threat and/or objective….SBI. I cannot comment as to why Ebay doesn’t attack us but I do know that some commanders yell to ignore Ebay to head somewhere else on your BL…..usually your garrison or a camp to resupply lol

The numbers game only comes into play during the week for these three servers. This weekend our numbers have been pretty evenly matched. Even at night because we have NA players staying up. People say we have a strong reset/weekend…I take that as a total compliment due to this. We ARE even with SBI and FA during these times and it shows we can do well. During the week our numbers dwindle due to RL but everyone’s does….but this is where population really kicks in. The weekend we’re on equal footing.

I do want you to know, SBI, Yaks is playing the ppt game this weekend and week. We want you to bleed for your points. So enjoy the bags and know we are also. You may win overall but I think we’ve shown what we can do when we really try and play strategic and not just for the fights. Those come regardless.

Oh and btw…..we’re missing people due to ESO also. Just to say…

Yes, while we are still losing…I think everyone is surprised by how much better we are doing than was thought. SBI beat us by so much more when we saw them on their move up. So, our “superior communication and tactics” have actually helped us a lot.

imho Yak’s was getting toxic before the season started. I’m in one of the multiple guilds that left. We found TC to be a much friendlier and cooperative environment. However even on TC it’s been a little more edgy since the season started — although nothing like what we experienced in our final days on YB.

Well, Yaks was getting bad last spring but I have to say YB is fantastic now. I think some of our more casual WvW’ers thought we’d do better against FA and SBI and tensions ran high. What the OP has seen is few and far between and is generally seen when a server is outnumbered and tactics are changed to deal with it. Usually this type of behavior is done by people not in comms and/or who don’t read the forums. Communication of the changes was just needed and seems to have cut out the silly comments.

I’m sad the OP’s morale was affected by jerky people. I get it though, because people like that annoy me too.

Our morale has been soo much better since shortly after the new forums went up. We have some great peeps that have stepped up in YB. The leagues have brought up our game, I feel. I mean, it doesn’t change matches with FA and SBI but it has improved our game and made us look at new ways to play for ppt…which we have not really done as a server. It’s been great!

I’m am very glad [WAR] is happy on TC. I still miss the people and guilds that left, but it seems the changes have worked out the best for everyone.

Personally, I think all the complaints about our numbers from BP is because they expected to take us easily. Since they aren’t, there has to be a reason. Little does BP understand that our great numbers are due to the influx of new players coming for achievements and checking out what the league is about. (Just like all the servers have) I have not played much this weekend due to school and work but when I have we usually have a queue at home or in EB and that is NOT normal. I have only ever seen a queue on reset nights and that is usually only for 10-15 min max. To have it over the whole weekend is just crazy!

While our new influx has caused some adjustments and even at times frustrations on our side, on the whole I think they have made a total difference and it is awesome! I will be sad when they go (I will hope they get addicted to WvW as I am!) because when we face FA and SBI we will NEED them. lol

All I know, my personal opinion only, is that I have totally enjoyed the league so far! WvW has always felt like a sport to me…I ask for updates and highlights throughout the week, especially when it is a close match, when I’m at work. This past weekend has been the same. It is great, not just because we are winning (I’d be lying to say that was not fun) but because I didn’t think we would be! I have no idea what the prizes are (I didn’t pay attention to that cause I knew we would not have a chance to win) but just the fact that it is ‘A League’ makes me competitive and want us to do the best we can!

I’m nerdy, even for a gamer…but this has been exciting for me, and the influx of new people has made it even more fun!

It’s ok, BP, I’m sure when we see each other again, our numbers will shrink to what they normally are and you will have a chance to beat us once again. And for the guy that can’t wait to us get stomped from FA and SBI, won’t have to wait long…that’ll start at reset.

Just wanted to say Kudos to the Yaks Defender from the other night.

I had a guild mate that needed the Jump Puzzles for map completion. We did Obsidian, and then were able to compete both our BL and ET’s BL. When it came to Yak’s BL I was a bit nervous. Pardon me as although I have been careful to avoid zergs (Direct hits by trains are not fun) – I still have been ganked by the other roving packs of 4-6 players who see ganking a single roamer as pleasurable. We set off in the Yaks BL with no full expectations that we could get this last jump puzzle done.

We were able to avoid any camps by simply hugging the map outter perimeter where possible and not drawing any swords. As we approached the Northern Supply camp – a nobel Yaks defender came to protect their territory. We had been discovered.

After a party invite and explaination that we were not capping – simply trying to complete the JP – we were allowed to pass to the JP. My hats off to the hospitality and good sportsmanship displayed by the folks at Yaks Bend. If ever we can extend back simply let us know. Cheers!

Aww Raz! I’d agree with you except for the fact that most of the people who did that were NA players who stayed up because it was a Saturday night. (Personally, I was on until 1:30-ish ST) Which your server could have done to defend/take back/go offensive.

When I was helping with defending/upgrading Bay, you had a fairly decent sized group. In fact, there were times they outnumbered us during their pushes to inner. Other times it was even or in our favor. Mostly it was our siege that stopped you in inner as well as you guys seemed afraid to push. Might not have been the case, just seemed that way from my perspective.

Will say, the initial fight to get Bay was fantastic and barely won by us.

Ahhh!!! Ok, so you are basically wondering why there are so many golems this time around. I see! Honestly, like I said before, we’ve always done golem rushes. It’s just that we stop doing them when we learn they are not effective during certain match-ups.

I’ve never made an Omega golem so I do not know how it is different. I do know I’ve gotten a lot of golem prints and did not pay for a one of them…either before or after the change.

So, you are blaming YB’s “integrity” because you feel we are buying up all these golems just to use against you. You call it “integrity” because for whatever reason you and/or your server will not do this, so you obviously have a moral high ground.

I see now. Well, you are probably right that the cheap price of golem prints is a reason some commanders have so many and decide to make Omega’s. I do know that we had quite a few commanders that made Omega’s before the change and used them quite frequently. Again…major rushes did not happen frequently if the first or second assault was stalled. CD has not really stalled us this match-up…hence their prolific use.

There are ways to beat a golem rush and I am sorry that your server’s morale is so low that they do not feel like the home BL is fun to defend. Yak’s has been there…it gets better, I promise. Take deep breaths, maybe do a dungeon or something and then go back and fight. I mean, really…we would rather you defended your stuff. I loved how you guys sieged up our SW Tower this morning and just mowed through us. Numbers equal and having to figure out how to get you guys out was so much fun. We need more fights like that!! lol

1. I don’t get how it is abuse? I mean…it isn’t a hack, it isn’t something only we can do…if some commanders or players want to make Omega’s…COOL! I personally make a ton of other sup siege when MF is part of daily…

2. No, golem rushes have always been fun. It’s a shiny that gets pugs to follow. Has always been that way and right now we have more pugs than we ever use to. It’s been fantastic since we lost some guilds a couple of months ago. Besides..it’d probably stop if it ever became ineffective…..but really, that’s for you to do…

3. What does money have to do with anything? I mean…Commander tags are outrageous, yet people buy them to help out with WvW..should they not do that? As for our siege in bay..just so you know..it’s been there pretty much all week cause we tag it hourly. So, really…it doesn’t cost that much. You’re right, you didn’t witness that from our server last time because we are different now. People left, we consolidated and are working together. We have awesome commanders that work together and one that stays at home to ensure people keep the siege refreshed. As for not seeing lots of superior before…it was probably because they went away in a half hour and because no one tagged back then, so why waste?

Golems have always been a shiny (like SM) and people flock to golem rushes. It’s fun! Especially when it works.

I understand being tired of getting rolled over by servers with larger numbers…been there, done that…but to blame us. Take a break from WvW for a week or so and revitalize. I had to do that, so understand.

Just so you know…we’ve been in on the receiving end of golem rushes. Some we’ve repelled, some we didn’t. Most of the time one keep is gone due to melting gates and maybe lose another while people stream in but rarely did we lose 3 unless no one was on…which did happen. I mean, we know it isn’t an original idea but seriously, where did you think we got idea? Where do you think we learned to mobilize and defend home when called? Cause we’ve been where you are! We spent most of the spring dealing with superior numbers, golem rushes and zergs at play times we barely had enough people to take back camps. We had our server shake up and lost some good friends for various reasons. (Like the last time we fought) Now though, we’ve shaken off our low morale and found the fun in WvW again. Does that mean we always win? No…but we TRY to every week!

One could assume if your being efficient means you want to quickest and maybe easiest way to win. I.e you lack integrity for admitting to that. Rather than posting other mumbo jumbo about qqing , people being self centred, quaggans and other mechanics lol.

I about Yaks bend has become a Highclass/numbers/rallied sever just now because when CD beat both kaineng/yaks bend 2 weeks straight forward you probably guessed, it was the time when golems we’re 500 badges of honour and cost things what take time/skill/tactics to receive other than using Gold what can be farmed easy with the new content updates over the past few weeks haha.

Now I could be wrong and I would admit that for my ignorance but if we won this matchup 2 weeks in a row without the sellable siege weapons(alpha/omega golems) and you have it now you are winning. One could fairly assume that. Plus I have witnessed every non feint attack By Yaks bend has been in a form of distraction by siege grazer or keep tapping follow by a Full on omega(6-7)25+ players at least. Golem zerg to water gate of our garrisons numerous times. Everyday, I even counted the time between 3 golem attacks and it was roughly just over the hour before it was welcomly repeated.

So unless you want to state your opinion on Golem rushes, i.e you like them or don’t or they should be restricted to badges of honour again I’m not sure. But the Posts from Yaks bends players seem to be emotional reactions to my original thread post rather then taking any time to re evaluate what they feel about omega siege rushing being done to them would be a good place to start. Omega siege golems being spam and stacked to garner easy Exp/point by turning Tier 3 towers/defend or undefended, with siege or none of it ;D to rubble in mere minutes.
Now you say we need numbers we sure do but as I said earlier we’re not used to golem rushes from you due to you never using them like this during our 2week runnings back a 2 to 3 months ago. And two other match ups over the best month we’re u came 2nd one week and 3rd the later one. Now you could say we need to organise and adapt and we do, and say we have to run to defend our stuff but is that really a fair measure to imply to have to succeed against a tactic what takes 5 minutes or less to literally flip a full upgraded tier 3 keep let alone a tower? haha.
I could go into why players shouldn’t have to rush to succeed and rather if you want me to haha but I’ll leave it at this for now because no one wants to have to rush to a keep and drop everything just to stop something anet should of made only Accessible using Badges of honour. It’s stressful if your dedicated to winning lool.

First, I think you are using “integrity” wrong. What is not honest or morally wrong about using Omega rushes? How does that hurt us as a server? This feels akin to people complaining about siege in open field fights.

I get you are upset about the fact that you are losing to us when you use to steamroll over us months ago or at least have a closer match. We bypassed you long before our golem rushes. Now if the match up you were talking about was last week, I would understand a bit more about being upset…but it was MONTHS ago. All 3 servers have changed since then…so I think this is more about you being upset that you aren’t steamrolling us than it is about the Omega rushes.

What I don’t really understand is why are you so upset over something you guys can do too? I mean, we just had CD hit our BL with golems and you guys actually took bay and south towers. We defended hills and scattered you, but then you trenched into SW tower and held us off with the use of a TON of siege. In fact…so much siege that we didn’t dare bring golems over cause they would have died. Thing is…we called in reinforcements that arrived just in time to help save Hills…they dropped everything to come to our call and defend. It can be stressful yes…but it is also FANTASTIC when the invaders are beaten back and forced to either scatter or barricade themselves in a tower! Now, THAT’S fun.

So, all I get from you is that you are upset that your fair weathers left because they realized we weren’t going to be steamrolled like we were MONTHS ago and that you are blaming it on the fact that Omega’s are cheap instead of the fact that no one came to help defend even one keep. Cause you know…they could have…and should have if the home BL is important. lol Each plays how they want, but really…integrity has nothing to do with Omega rushes. Nor does the fact that you are gonna lose this week. Just deal, enjoy the fights and start figuring out counters to golem rushes cause we aren’t the only server to use them! (Others have used them against us a lot…how do you think we got the idea??)

Yaks, you had one job and that was to hold Ehmry’s side of Eternal and do nothing. After you took our Lowlands keep, you initiated war. We’re switching focus from Ehmry to you guys. Blame that commander who has more Omega golems than brain cells.

What if I were to tell you that the controls on the golems broke and that was the way they were headed and our forces just had to follow to ensure our people got out of the tin cans safely?

Also, if I’m thinking of the right pic I saw, that would mean he has a LOT of brain cells cause that was a kitten ton of golems….

Apparently so. Its such a shame to see expensive vehicles trashed by 15 year olds just getting their learners permit though. Back in my day, when an Omega appeared it meant srs bsns. Now every wippersnapper with more money then sense seems to have one in their inventory.

Well….golems were cheap for a bit when they became unbound. I know I had guildies buy TONS off the TP for around 15s a piece, so not so expensive as they used to be..

you really need to learn how to count my friend! there was at least 10 of you compared to the the maybe 7-8 of us and you had fully upgraded camps and let me tell you, those guards really put you guys on their back! It’s a real shame when a server has to rely on NPCs :/

and later in the night you had an entire zerg there to deal with 5 of us, it was pretty cute

Hahahahaha….did I call it or WHAT!? Told you last night after we finished wiping them at the sentry on the way to NE camp that they would say we were a zerg! Instead it was a small group that engaged and then someone called in map chat that the camp was contested so the other 4 of us ran in singularly. Of course you were running away from the camp at this time and was near the sentry when we downed all but one of you, who ran to the water.

As for NPC’s…you do realize that just happens when you fight near a camp and you don’t own the camp, right? Kiting around sends you in all sorts of directions…but then, it makes sense for you to cry about this, Dinklemas.

wow, why don’t’ you work on your reading comprehension friend. You guys didn’t have a zerg until later in the night. But you still needed 2x as many people + camp npcs to deal with us I can give you guys some PvP lessons if you want? I don’t mind!

And yeah, I know what camp NPCs do, it’s a real shame attacking your yaks and camps is the only way to get you guys out of your towers :/ Just saying friend, relying on NPCs to do the pvp for you is a crutch.

Yes, we did lose a few like that time you ganked me by the sentry between Garri and Bay, but we wiped you there a few times too. There were not a ton of fights at a camp, mostly we engaged you before you got there and in the fights I was at, if we did catch you there, we actually pulled you away from the camp to keep you distracted from capping it.

It’s ok though, I fully expect you to be one of those that inflates what happens to sound good on the forums

there was at most 2 people from GH following us, which is why i said around 7-8 of us. It would be a worthwhile investment to learn how to count! ^-^

There were different amounts at different fights but there were also a few other random guild tags with you. I think it is you that is only remembering certain fights. lol

@Jinks…..we’re afraid you are going to try and blow up our boards again with 50 posts in 2 min. I can come visit you on ebay’s forums if you want to smack talk that much!
