This is a global game. When you think you are ‘winning’ before you go to bed. They are being ‘nightcapped’ by you.
I never saw the outmanned buff on SBI lastnight. I did see it for a short while on ET.
Or just give people the ability to pay a portion of an upgrade.
Example:A waypoint costs 1g. Instead of just hitting Upgrade and paying the entire 1g, make it say “Deposit 5s”… once 20 people (or 1 person, clicking 20 times) deposits 5s the upgrade starts.
This is the best idea I have seen about this.

Let me recommend Leather working for ranger simply because you can keep yourself in gear as you level… AND some of the best gear in game you can make for yourself at level 80. (after a lot of farming :P) You get experience for turning jute scraps (and later materials) into cloth and leather scraps in leather. The tough matts are always the trophy items used to make the insignias. So your second profession should probably not require those items. I have never tried being a gem crafter but wonder if that wouldn’t be a good match.
edit: and make sure and grab a logging axe, mining pick, and harvesting sickle so you can gather ALL matts. It also levels you.
And you will need salvage kits to blow up light armor and medium armor for cloth and leather. Also handy to blow up excess items you made to get some matts back. And of course used to blow up salvage scraps.

No. that would leave every bracket broken with all maps one solid color. Winners would have nothing to cap and losers wouldn’t want to play.
Everything stays until re-taken/broken. The siege will last only 1/2 an hour if no one comes and re-mans it though.
If you kill something before vengeance wears out you get to rally. If you don’t, you die.

No, you can currently only be queued for one map at a time. Here’s a basic breakdown on how the queues are setup:
- You can only be queued for one WvW map at a time.
- If you try to enter a WvW map while queued for another one and the new map is not full, you will join that new map and still be queued for the first one you tried to enter.
- If you are queued for a WvW map and try to queue for a second WvW map that is full, you will be asked if you would like to queue for the second map. If you select ‘No’, you will still be in queue for the first map. If you select ‘Yes’, then you will enter the queue for the second map and no longer be queued for the first map.
- You can be queued for a WvW map while in an overflow map, but you will not be able to see scores or team names while you are in an overflow map.
Due to the amount of people we see queued for maps while spaces are open in other maps, we have started talking about possible ways we can change the current setup to help get people into the other maps if they have space available, but that stuff is all still in the discussion phase so it’s not likely we’ll be able to change things anytime soon.
edit: And the answer to your second question: Each side is allowed the same amount of players, so one side cannot ‘steal all the slots’.

Grace period on Dc would = a lot more Dc’s if you know what I mean. But yeah, I have dc’d after several hour queues before. It’s a huge disappointment.
My FAVORITE is when the “You can travel to… LIONS ARCH” pops up. That trolls me ever single night.
I am not from any of those servers but I show Ehmry Bay as the underdog. And looking at their queue past they have no where near full coverage.

Not sure about Thiefs, but for Ranger Rapid Fires, the damage that the Ranger sees is the culmulative damage of every hit of the skill, but not sure how it appears on the receiving player’s logs. Rapid Fire can hit for 10k+ if well geared, but that’s like 8 different shots combined.
I have never seen a 10K rapid fire… ever.
Trying to get 100% means partaking in 100% of the game imo.
And every time we get attacked by SBI and JQ I read OUR chat saying that YOU GUYS have a pact. It’s all ridiculous. We will all be trying to take the same stuff. Also, How in the kitten (in advance) do you think such a pact would ever get organized and work? Are we having secret meetings somewhere?
Every time I read our team talking about JQ and SBI colluding against us I point out that they JUST attacked each other and/or took something from each other. People don’t like to acknowledge the truth though. They would rather see deception everywhere.
You can buy the exotic gear at the karma vendor outside the Orr Dungeon and other places in that area. Surely you can play your way and earn karma?
Aussies? I meet them when I am awake. And I have learned some fascinating things. Like, they call McDonalds ‘Maccas’. They have never heard the Oscar Meyer Wiener Song. And they don’t understand what a Klonkitten Bar is and/or what we would do for it. :P

I am against Geographical Segregation. One of the best parts about GW is how global it is.

The sportsmanship seems great between all 3 servers really.
The real problem here is invisible enemies. Give their algorithms time to match servers properly.

I actually think there are 2 things going on here. Whenever people have talked about invisible enemies I have assumed they were talking about the culling, which for me isn’t bad at all. But now that I am looking at a screenshot I can see that the problem people are having might be something else.
Are people on high end graphic cards having this issue?
WvW night capping/whining/unbalance can be solved with a fairly easy fix.

It is an insult to call your prime time everyone’s prime time. Really, it is. And your night time is not everyone’s night time. You may get more points in YOUR prime time, while we get more points in OUR prime time. Why do you assume your prime time is more valued? Because you are losing? We have problems on our off hours too, aka your prime time.
I know that my 2 kitties will spawn in different places. I will be reviving someone while reviving my pet before it dies. One pet stands right next to me when I summon him, the other gets summoned ahead of me into the fray even though I have not moved.
Yeah, I am just too embarrassed to reply to those people anymore. And let’s face it… they are all from my country. I apologize for their self centeredness and inability to understand that we are not the center of the universe. (Well, I am… but I digress) :P
Well, if they rose in ranking, I am guessing they will be happier players. Also, I can’t believe that any server has the corner on stupid people. :P It seems like more of a population issue for the lower ranked teams. And if it is just uninformed players, I am thinking that they would learn by being matched with higher ranked servers.
So it gives a needed handicap to the winning servers and a needed helping hand to the losing servers.
The Asura in me thinks this is a brilliant idea! I would love to hear peoples pros and cons on this.
Based on context I think OP is saying that you should be able to WvW on your sister server because it wouldn’t be in the same bracket/region as their home server. That way if HoD has huge queues you’re still able to get into WvW on your sister server.
Yes, with the added benefit of helping out low pop/ranked servers. It would MAKE the number 1 server pair up with the lowest ranked server etc. I am trying to offer a viable solution to unfair map matches since so many people are concerned about that.
Or 1 sister server. The sister server could be picked mathematically. The Top Servers sister server would be the bottom server. The 2nd ranked server would be 2nd to bottom etc.
My point would be distributing people to needed areas. IE I could play on HoD and wait the long queue times, or I could jump over to our sister server and help them out. Maybe it would be called something like the ‘sister server alliance.’ So HoD might be doing great, but our sister server alliance might be failing because no one went to help out.
So I would choose HoD as my home server. During high peak times it might offer me to play on one of my 2 sister servers which would be in another region from my home server. IE HoD is my NA server and I would never get matched against my sister servers because they are in another region.

The good news is that the items are now back in the guild bank. So disregard that part.
I put 2 small runes in there and they are not there, and there is no record of them. They vanished as I put them in there. I got called to wvw right after so I will check back later and see if they ever show up.
edit: I am also getting the bug in wvw saying I do not have permission to claim a location even though I am a leader. I wonder if it’s related.
Last I checked HoD/SBI/JQ was pretty close. Jq not so much… but it’s still anyones game between SBI and HoD. imo
The whole time people are all ‘spying’ and being sneaky and whatnot.. I am out actually capturing points.

- Guilds without “Art of War” boosts activated should not be able to claim keeps and towers. At least make keep / tower claiming expire so another guild can claim it if they have (more) active AoW boosts running. I hate it when some random guild spams the Guild Claiming NPC and claim a keep / tower for no reason. It’s then permanently claimed until it’s overtaken by an enemy team. Make absolutely no sense.
If a guild is able to claim a Keep right after it has been captured, then they were the major contributing factor in capturing it. A small guild will not be able to claim it until 1 or 2 minutes later.
