All of these collusion theories are just silly. I have friends on opposing servers swearing to me that we (HoD) are colluding but it just isn’t so. (afaik) And the whole time I am reading collusion theories from my opposing friends, I am reading our chat which says that the other 2 teams are colluding against us!
And the whole time I am seeing everyone attack everyone. There were a few occasions where we would go and attack a keep from the back that was being attacked by JQ from the front. I knew there would be people thinking we were colluding. But we were trying to take the same keep at the same time. There was no love there.
My understanding is that a level 30 in level 30 gear is equal to a level 80 in level 80 gear. You are just missing traits. Also, if you are a level 30 in non exotic gear and facing a level 80 in full exotic gear there will also be a discrepancy.

If the orb is in that Keep the Keep Lord will remain invulnerable until you break the altar that the orb is sitting on. Is it possible that keep had an orb in it?
Was there a reset timer on it?
Also, a few times (2 or 3) tonight the enemy grabbed our orb from our borderlands at the northern altar. They ran with it and were killed, according to my teammates, but then the orb disappeared. It had a reset timer on it but was nowhere to be found. It eventually respawned north again after the timer ran out.
The next time I was there when the enemy grabbed the orb. I killed the orb carrier and was able to pick it up off the ground as expected and ran it into our keep. So I never witnessed the actual disappearance of it except that it was nowhere on the map in the previous scenarios.
Also, from what I have read, the quaggens weather node (mid) attacks the altar and it is possible for it to break the altar thus, in theory, dropping the orb to the ground. I haven’t witnessed that so I am not sure it actually drops to the ground vs. disappearing. I do know that the altar does get damaged though, so we kept a team guarding the quaggens :P
Search & Rescue: The pet stops as soon as he is in combat and he rushes into the downed player which means he will always be in combat. IE if there weren’t any mobs around I would rez the player myself. He used to stand back as far as possible, sometimes getting aggro and canceling the rez. It was dicey before, trying to find range etc. Now it is not usable imo.
For the defense to trigger I believe you have to have done a repair and/or killed a person.
I started at level 2 As long as your gear stays upgraded you should be fine. I agree that level 7 for weapon swapping would be a good idea too.
I remember my first upgraded castle that got lost too. It can be quite disheartening. Hang in there. And try to think of everything you upgrade as more of an obstacle for the enemies than an actual full out defense of it.
Lick Wounds downed state: My pet always attacks me rather than heals me. (Red numbers and health drops. NOT dotted or being attacked in any way) Happens to my ranger friends too. I have also seen it happen to other downed rangers. Even the animation is them being attacked by their own pet.
Currently using jaguar and snow leopard.

No. Hopefully they add that at a later date. They also are working on queue problems. My current voo-doo magic tells me never to travel into the overflow while in queue.

The Garrison hadn’t changed hands since the server restart. No gates or walls were down and the person didn’t engage any of the NPCs. We had 10 people in the Garrison at the time.

Sieges lasts only 1/2 an hour if not remanned. Is it possible you were gone more than 1/2 an hour? Also. Why are you sure it wasn’t trebbed down etc. from another player?
You say the orb reset in less time than it takes for the Altar to rebuild itself. That sounds like a bug then. So how long are you talking about?
Also, was that keep recently taken by your team and you didn’t clear it out of potential enemies hiding there? (aka mesmers)
Releasing the orb is a viable strat imo. The question is did they get in by clever means.. or was it an exploit.

But don’ let that overwhelm you. Go in. Follow a zerg around until you learn the ropes. No one will be judging you.
edit: Always grab your 10 supplies from a supply camp. (The tent looking places on the map.. that you own) You should always have 10 supplies on you at all times. (To help build siege and repair walls/doors etc.)

The Harpy Feathers effect has something to do with being immune or invisible. Can’t remember exactly, you pick it up in the world and press 1 to use it.

What is the invisible consumable? I cannot find reference to it anywhere.
I too hope it is temporary to have the KL on the first floor. It just doesn’t feel right to me.

I am henge. I think you might be being paranoid. I will have to wait til later tonight when I get on to check it out, but I am not sure why we would ever do that.
I am guessing there will never be a /spit. Anet is pretty against that type of behavior. Maybe a /kitten though!

I think the queue’s are being investigated. I wonder if that is the only issue here. I too have wondered if there is a problem with people per side. I play on henge and we don’t seem to have that problem… but facing opposing servers, they never seem to have as many people. Of course I can’t confirm that… but that is just my observation.
Is there such a thing as an invis consumable?
Also: on topic: I rarely have the extreme issues with culling that people are talking about.

Did you have the outmanned buff while you had guildies waiting in queue?
2 or 3 of us take camps all the time. I have solo’d a few as well but that’s difficult because you have to be fast. Sometimes I get wiped by a zerg… but because of me they just sent their zerg away from our zerg to kill 1 person. The best thing about being in a small group is that you don’t set off the orange sword alert (5+ players). Using siege against a keep or tower by 2-3 people is incredibly effective without the orange swords giving you away.
This issue is still happening. My ranger friends report the same thing.

People were AOE’ing the boss from below the grate while some people were holding aggro from above. (kiting/using pets) Defenders were upset that they couldn’t use their roof siege to kill the attackers. What I don’t understand is, if the defenders were going to be able to save that castle, why didn’t they kill the attackers on the first floor?
edit: And from what I saw in screenshots. The defenders had no where near enough players trying to defend.

The dolyak escorting was being botted (which is why you saw 20 people escorting them) Until they find a fix for that I guess we will have to wait.

I think it’s important to remember that there are people playing from all over the place. Not just the US. So what you are calling anti-social hours is actually some peoples prime time. (Even some of us from the US play late hours)

She could play with them in pve only in the overflow. (Join their party. right click them and choose join) but I think there have been some frustrating issues with that. IE can’t leave the overflow or the party gets messed up. (Edit: You can try this right now)
I think they said they were going to have a guesting feature in but that there wasn’t yet an ETA iirc.
I would do the 2 accounts so that you can wvw with either set of friends.
