Add me to the list of people who want the old UI back. I understand that some people like it better because of the 999 limitation, but it offers no benefit to me and the old UI was easier and more intuitive. (yep, I’m being selfish) Having the old UI with a fix to max number would be optimal, of course.
I was playing on and off today and several times I found my ‘F’ key would not do what it was supposed to. I specifically remember trying to gather in Sparkfly (hard wood and I think mature herb), once when trying to interact with the BLTP in Lion’s Arch, and once trying to access my bank in LA. Each time logging out to char select screen and back fixed it. Was wondering if anyone else has seen this?
What I would like to see is yellow mobs tagged with a different color health bar (yellow) instead of just the name. Makes snap judgements easier to make when in a group event and you are tab targeting.
eta: lol! They have a really aggressive kitten filter. That’s kind of awesome.
So I am tearing out my hair about this bug or feature or whatever it is. I play a thief and I use a lot of evasion and stealth to get around the map so that I can pick my fights. I’ve noticed it before, but now that I am in Orr it is beyond frustrating. Several mobs tag me on the way to where I want to be, but I teleport away and then pop stealth to drop aggro. Many times, however, I find this doesn’t actually get me out of combat. I stand around, waiting for my health to refill and it doesn’t happen, even though nothing in the immediate area is looking at me funny. I try to engage a nearby mob hoping to reset it, but that doesn’t work. I can’t figure out what causes me to remain in combat some times and not others.
It doesn’t happen all the time, but often enough that I get extremely frustrated when I go to Orr. The worst, absolute worst, is when I fight/stealth my way to a node I want, and then can’t change from my mithril pick to the ori one because I am in combat. This is affecting my ability to chose my fights. If I arrive at my objective, I am already kittened from the start. I can’t engage the veteran or whatever until I use my heal a couple of times to fill up if needed and wait for the recharge and then just hope that no other mobs find me before I am ready to actually fight.
So frustrating.

In a perfect world, that’s all good. However, only a small percentage of players actually read forums and patch notes and keep themselves informed. And honestly, they shouldn’t have to for the most part.
I was just heading here to post the same thing. I am sick of seeing lemons and butter on the TP window when I open it up.
If they are going to set a floor on the vendor price, they should also set a floor on the asking price. When you put in a buy order for butter at 1c, it should flat out tell you no. I know that I’ve seen several things that I would be willing to sell on the TP, but when I check it against the vendor price, I see that I’d be losing money. I’m sure some of it because the buyer didn’t know the vendor price when placing the order, so let them know so they aren’t wasting their, or my, time. Or more importantly, wasting space on Anet’s servers.

I’d guess that they are aware of how well the keys are or are not selling and will adjust it if necessary. I like the change they made to tonics – now I just have to stock one kind and not every single one in my bank (I’m a hoarder, I need help). I would just be happy with cheaper keys. Every once in a while I think I want to buy some, then look at the price again and think, nah. Not worth it. I also really like the idea of a chance for crafting mats. They don’t even have to be super high end. But if they do this and put butter in the loot table, I may have to cut myself.
There is nearly 1.6 million butter on the TP at 2c (rock bottom pricing) The demand is less than 50K. This is wrong on a couple of levels. The buyers/sellers are never going to meet since you can’t put butter lower than it’s vendor price of 1c. If the people who want it won’t buy it for 2c, then it will never sell and continue to clog up the TP. That and the fact that the supply of butter is still crazy high.
Humans and Norns are similar enough already. I like having tats Norn only.

A similar question – does anyone know how the master craft gathering tools work? I got one from a chest or personal quest or something and saved it for the higher tiers as I didn’t want to waste it on carrots and copper. When I used it later, I got ruined materials. Apparently it has an effective level, but it’s not indicated anywhere. It’s really annoying and now I don’t want to use it at all since I don’t want to experiment to find it’s level and ruin potential mats. I know it would probably not be a huge deal, but since I’ve outleveled the zones I would have used it in anyway, it’s kind of useless. Makes me sad, cause I was excited to see the green level gathering tool and thought I got something special.
Can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s not in the game.
