Is anyone actually asking for a gvg format? What I get from the recent threads and Sacrx’s video is that people want fun, balanced open field fights, less emphasis on siege and more efforts from anet to encourage competitive wvw, instead of casual play.

I never want to go to t1, all this skill lag you can’t get any manageable fights. JQ is some what manageable but man BG is just like, well it’s depressing I’ll leave it at that. Don’t know about SOR. We got some xfers coming over, hopefully we can just compete with TC and we will be happy. Well are already happy where we stand, but pretty sure after a few more transfers we should be good. If people want to xfer to FA after that, we’ll send them to our friends MAG/DB because T1 would be hell.

You guys could change the way T1 is played :P
Looking forward to seeing FA getting some transfers, I’m sure TC has been getting bored with the lack of competition.

Stop with the drama, no need for it, apart from the bit of emote spamming it’s been decent in-game.

TC at least can put the numbers up at times to get a zerg going, they just need a lot more training and better organisation to fight against a well battle oiled SoR.
You could do with more better WvW geared/traited players too and a LOT more situational awareness – don’t just stand there and let us cream right through or into you, it feels so bad

I dunno why SoS were thrown in with us though, it seems very unfair on them. Not taking anything away from their players by saying that, it’s just fairly clear they don’t have enough interested WvW players on their server.

Hate to break it to you but TC does it to other servers as well so you’re not really in a position to complain about it.

You do realize that the enemy has to hold three points for 2 minutes before the buff is removed, right? The bigger server can just zerg through and recap it before 2 minutes have elapsed and keep the buff.

Did anet say that all server are gonna be forced to fight each other? Because if the current matchup system continues, it’ll still be incredibly rare for AR/ET/FC/DR to face servers like Kaineng. After all these weeks of the new matchup system, only twice has a T1 server been matched up with a T3 server. It’s rare and will probably remain rare once the leagues are in.

The question is, does the server that wins the silver league move up to the gold league for the next season? That would make mass transferring to the top of the lower league pointless, unless you’re willing to constantly transfer to whichever server becomes the new top dog.

Yesterday morning ran with [RET] and co., defending Garrison in our BL against TC. Real proud of the FA that were there. It took TC three tries. The third could easily be summed up as this….

“How many TC this time!?”
“Uhhhh…Looks like ALL OF THEM.”

Our numbers grew with each successive attempt, so yea, it looked like at least one person from each of our wvw guilds were there xD

I don’t think he meant that Awe had 80 people. But Awe, xtyr, wvw, frag and the 20+ pugs probably brought our numbers to the 80 mark. Kudos to FA for an epic defense. Took many many attempts with lots of golems before we finally cracked garri.

Your server owns quite a lot of EB right now. Go get ’em!

It’s not going to be any different no matter what server you are on. How sociable a server is is highly dependent on the people that are online at that time. Being in the right place at the right time. You can’t judge Dragonbrand as a unsociable server just because at those specific times you were on, no one was talking in map chat.

It’s like that on TC and pretty much every other server as well. Sometimes, the server feels like a dead zone. Come back 30 minutes later and it’s alive and map chat is filled with people talking.

Every server has their fair share of talkative/non-talkative people. Give your server a chance.

Also, you don’t need to transfer. With guesting, you can guest to any NA server you want and do all the pve things you need. Unless you want to move for WvW purposes, there is little reason to transfer servers.

It’s better but it’s not completely fixed. In large groups, when someone drops a static field, the animation will be visible for a split second before disappearing =/

1)You’re on the wrong server
2)WvW is pvp, expect to fight and get killed
3)You’ll get yelled at on every server, doing what you were doing

And to answer the op, it looks like you’re looking for a server with 24/7 non stop action. Since BG and TC are full, SoR is your best bet. These are the only three servers that fit your requirements.

LOL. So funny. You see NOTHING during the zerg fight, you don’t know what the red circles mean or anything. You take all this damage and you can’t tell why.

After you win the fight and wipe the zerg, sit back relax and watch the light show that happens 10-20 seconds later as all the particles finally load in.

Yea, most of the high tier servers are also growing in numbers.

Hoo, someone’s obviously defensive about JQ’s NA. Consider that FA held first place throughout 2 reset nights against JQ, only to lose ground during late oceanic/SEA.

JQ is T1 server just check http://mos.millenium.org/na it owns TC by 100 points and is 15 points away from being #2 server NA. SoR is slowly fading, JQ is still strong as its always been and BG is just too big, too many peeps xfering to BG…. Skillwise Blackgate sucks.

Oh and everybody follows JQ because JQ is the most skilled WvW server out there, hence why we get most replies and views on matchups with JQ involved. JQ matchup has 700 replies, 7000 views TC/BG/SoR only 300 replies and 6000 views.

Are the guilds in JQ desperate to be T1 champs again? Because I don’t think JQ is the right server to achieve it with. The fairweather population is just too obscenely high.

Its morale/fair weather. JQ doesn’t not have a population, and they have a fairly sizable NA, its just that they disappear with about the same speed as paper keeps. The number of “hard core” WvW guilds on NA JQ is low, the population isn’t.

I would tend to agree that JQ does have a lot of WVW PLAYERS but lacks WVW GUILDS. However, I’ve guested to JQ on a number of occasions and you have a booming PVE population that is at least twice that of SoR’s! Overall, JQ is probably the most balanced server when it comes to a healthy PVE and WvW population. Not a terrible place to be for those interested in multiple aspects of the game.

I can think of at least 20 other servers with healthy pve and wvw populations, relative to their tier.

It won’t stop the spy from just whispering the enemy commander and letting him know your location. I like grouping with opponents and chatting

JQ is good. The issue is that they have a tier 1 coverage on SEA and a tier 2 coverage in NA.

Their NA is more like T3. The only reason they have been able to compete against the T2 servers during NA is because their SEA hands them fully upgraded structures and leaves the other servers with paper ones.

None of the servers you mentioned broke up because they were winning… The drama fairy hit both HoD and SoS (and SBI). In fact the time in which guilds left JQ were in a period where JQ was either 2nd or 3rd place.

I haven’t read this entire thread (my condolences if you have), but may I ask what is going on with SoR? Is your population shrinking or something? Is Blackgate now the most stacked NA server? I could care less about the point tick and who wins week to week, what I want are competitive opponents. I don’t really want to be on the most stacked server in the game.

BG is doing what JQ did back in the day of their dominance as their SEA timezone literally had free reign.

I recall what used to be close scores going into the school/work week ended with a 15k ppt advantage overnight as Waha’s SEA crew overran the zones.

It’s a 24/7 matchup, kudos to BG for their present run but as everyone here knows who has been on T1 for a long time, things can switch quickly as I for one never expected JQ’s present status as they were literally riding high with morale just a couple months ago.

whats irritating is that those chest thumpers disappeared once we aren’t winning but still keep the server at full status.

It didn’t work the last time, so it won’t work a second time. People who want to be there are already there. What you’ll see is a lot of people/guilds transferring from T8 to T7 etc etc. Which is bad.

The ONLY solution if you really can’t deal with the queues is to transfer to a lower population server. Anet will not (and should not) increase the map size. Unfortunately, you are on a server that will regularly receive transfers hoping to freeload off of your SEA coverage. So it ain’t gonna get any better any sooner unless the server implodes which I find highly unlikely.

Now that the problem has been identified, DB’s NA can work on a solution and get their act together. This really should have been posted on their server forums….

So, I’m sure most of you have noticed that the servers are starting to fill up again. BG and TC have gone full and others will get there soon. I’m interested in knowing what the community thinks Anet should do. Should they increase the cap to allow further transfers or should they not? The last time the servers got full, Anet increased the cap and immediately after, those servers that were “full” got mass transfers.

Personally, I hope they don’t increase the cap (at least for a while – like a few months) so that some of the lower tier servers that actually need transfers in certain timezones get them. I want the bandwagoning to stop =(

What do you guys think? Do we want more guilds to transfers to the top 4 servers?

I think we could have beat JQ this week if FA would have showed any kind of aggression this week towards them, only times I would see FA and JQ fight it out was when JQ would get the in their Towers and Keeps, other than that FA just tried capping our stuff while we were busy with JQ. We noticed the same thing on SoS last week. We would have done much better against TC but FA would not under any circumstance put pressure on you guys, unless TC gave them no choice. FA does not like going after the server in the lead. I don’t know what kind of strategy this is, but whatevs.

FA has been very open about their “if it’s red, it’s dead” policy and they’ve made it very clear that they don’t care about ppt. So there’s little reason for them to conform with the 2v1 politics.

JQ’s sea is not the strongest trust me. BG has 3-4 maps Q’d on the daily. BG also bought JQ’s biggest sea guild as of 1-2 weeks ago.

Yeah, basically all TC needs is some SEA. That have decent EU and very strong NA. JQ hit 600 ppt against them during SEA time, so I believe it is pretty obvious what is holding them back.

It was fun to get a couple fights that were of reasonable size.

It’s just been really hard to do much on fabl this matchup when you guys are putting up a good defense, because JQ is either has nothing, not even a token thief on the map, or their own mega blob that tries to push us off.

Well, both TC and FA have been running rampant in their bl all day so they’ve had to keep a lot of people in there. Was pleasantly surprised seeing the both of us get way pointed keeps in their bl today.

The score looks really interesting right now.
