Yes plate I think is where it’s at. I like the look of the dark set. But I’m not 100% sure where to get that from. Is that purchased with karma? And the gear that just say’s karma, where are the vendors. Is there a site out there that explains were exactly to go to get these peices that are purchased through karma?

I’m just about to hit 80 (finally) and now I’d like to find a nice small casual guild that likes to just play when they can and have fun. I’m married and have 2 small kids and one more on the way so I don’t find myself with a whole lot of time to play games like I use to. So what I’m looking for is a small guild that dosn’t care if I only pop on once a week. I’d like to be able to do some wvw as well and the possability to try out a dundeon or 2. I’ve been playing this game since launch and yes I’m only just now about to hit 80. I did take a few months off for a while. But the great thing I love about this game is there is no montly fee so this type of game is a great fit for my play schedule. Now I just need to find a good guild to fit as well. If your a smaller more laid back kind of guild that just plays to have fun and doesn’t require I get a divorce and make this my second job then let me know. I’d love to hear from you.

I got my wings tonight but now I need good back piece to use the skin on. I’ll be 80 in half a level and I don’t want to wast the skin on a cheap back item. Any ideas on what i should go with?

i’m not 80 yet but I will be probably tomorrow. I was looking on the TP for excotic gear just really to see what it looked like. Not a huge fan of the looks of the knights draconic set. I see so many people running around is sweet looking crazy gear. I’m not sure how to go about getting some good stat’s and good looking gear. I’m a war and I’d like to look like a crazy beast warrior. Any advice on what gear would be good and how to go about getting it?

Monna blew it for me. I only had 80 or so gold. First 2 races took 2nd. was up over a gold and a half. Then monna lost 3 in a row and now im broke. Can’t play anymore races I was enjoying it. But I think the price could be a bit lower. Or give you an option to bet less for less return or something.

Casual player looking for a guild on blackrock. I havn’t had much time to play latley but looking to join a guild so when I do play I have people to play with. Interests are wvw, pve, pretty much everything the game has to offer. I’d prefer a smaller freindly guild that dosn’t take themselves seriousely. I’m in my late 30’s and have played mmo’s for years so I understand the concept. Looking to hit 80 and then from there get some nice looking gear. Team Speak would be a plus! Seeing that free server transfers will be ending very soon I am looking to choose my final home. I want to do a mix of everything but wvw is important to me. I don’t have a guild and at the moment havn’t had much time to play and when I do it’s been solo. I just kind of randomly jumped servers so I’m not really sure what the status is with my current server even. I’m not sure being in the top tier is the most important but I do want there to be regular action with some good amount of coordination. My goal is to join a smaller friendly guild that could do some strike force type stuff when there isn’t a zerg. Looking for suggestions.

I’m going to the dells next weekend actually for a mini vacation and maybe some ski’ing. My son is playing a hockey tournament also in the dells in a couple weeks so I’ll be back up there for that! Can’t wait. I love the dells!

I’m just south of Wisconsin myself. I live in Antioch IL which is about 10 minutes maybe from the boarder. Both my boy’s play Hockey out of Plesant Prarie Wisconsin! I wish the snow would stop missing me and either come a little south or a little north! Keeps going right by us here!

I’m a long time mmo player. I’m 39 years old and have played games from EQ, daoc, warhammer, wow, tor, and now Guild wars2. As I say I’m 39 years old, I’m married with 2 small kids who are heavily involved in hockey. With this in mind my play time is very limited these days. Right now I find myself playing guild wars 2 because it is a good fit for someone with my limited game play style. But I miss having people to run with and do things with. So I think it’s time to look for a group of like-minded people that would be excepting of someone that may only be seen once a week or so.

I am playing a norn warrior current lvl 50. Primarily I’ve been doing my class story, and wvw. I have not set foot into a dungeon yet but I would really like to start to explore that aspect of the game. Also I would like to have some fun with jumping puzzles. The only one I have done so far is the pirate one in LA.

I am currently on the Gates of Madness server so if you run a more casual type laid back mature guild and would like to have me I’d love to hear from you. I am good at listening and take direction well and am always looking for pointers that can help me improve my character.

All games that I have played since wow have been like this. I miss the sense of night time changing the way I play a bit. Meaning if I was going to travel I would have to prepare a bit and make sure I had a lamp or torches with me or etc. I doubt will ever see it and there is nothing to stop someone from just crancking up the the gama to get around this kind of thing.

Yea I will still be able to use the other monitor for another computer I have so it won’t go to waste. My dilema is it will probably be 1 or maybe even 2 years until I can look at upgrading something again. My vid card isn’t horrible now but in 2 years it may be.

I’ve been wanting a new monitor but i’m not sure it’s worth it since really I think the only benefit I’ll be getting will just be getting a much larger screen? But I’m not sure because a new screen may be brighter and more vivid then my 6 year old dell but i’m not sure.

Or maybe it’s 1600×1280. I’ll have to check when I get home.

This isn’t really a question directly related to the game but guildwars2 is my current game and probably will be playing it for quite some time I figured maybe I could get some good oppinions here.

I’ve been debating on weather to ask for a new monitor or a new video card for christmas? Currently my monitor is an older Dell 20 inch wide screen I bought 6 or 7 years ago. It’s really a good monitor and other then just wanting to go larger and a higher resolution I don’t have any real complaints about it.

My video card is a GTX460. Right now I’m playing GW2 at just about max and get pretty decient fps. Out in the world I get any where from 40 to 60fps. In wvw it can drop in large battles but it’s not horrible but it would be nice to play anything at max and not worry about frame rates.

Around 300 bucks is my limit for either. I’ve seen some pretty nice looking 27 inch monitors from acer, hansG, even samsung (just slightly over 300). These are the kind with good picture but cheap stand.

As far as my video card upgrade I was looking at a gtx660ti.

I’m just looking for some oppinions here. thanks for any input you can give me to help with my decision.

I’m wondering what a good NA server is with healthy WvW and some good guilds to choose from? If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate them.

Not so much guild wars 2 related but I’m running out of ideas here. A friend let me use his 5h v2 usb head set and i’m having a strange issue. The issue is when transmitting with my mic I get this loud high pitched beeping. Now I’ve seen online how to fix this but here’s the strange part. I’ve been told to change a digital audio setting. however in my version of the drivers I don’t even see that drop down box. I’ve been given a screen shot from a steel series tech support of what it would look like and that option isn’t there for me. I’ve uninstalled and reinstall. Another weird thing is it dosn’t say the same thing as what Ive seen on the net. My title bar on the software is differnt. Icon isn’t steelseries and it just say’s usb pnp sound device. These are the only drivers Ive been able to find and I got them right from SteelSeries website.

Oh I forgot to mention i’m running windows 7 64.

I was a little dissapointed to see Divinities Reach (sp?) not all done up for Halloween. I didn’t go to any other cities yet to check them out. Is Lions Arch the only one decked out?

I to dislike way points. I’d much rather there be a more balanced for a travel personally. I’m one of those people that like the world to feel huge and having the adventure of having to figure out how to get to the other side of it (some day).

I’d rather they have a taxi system of sorts that was fun and excited to use. Maybe a blimp that you could ride to certian locations. Sure there could be portals in certain locations that would take you to other locations like the portals in LA. But you have to figure out how to actaully get to those.

It dosn’t nessesarily have to take a day to get somewhere but I wish personally that it was tougher to get around myself. Just my 2 cents.

I really hope that it’s back to normal for me tonight. I wanted to pull a late night in wvw but it sucks when your frame rates drop in the single digits!

Same here. I just upgraded my nvidia drivers 3 day’s ago and it helped my performance a ton. I was playing fine last night but logged in tonight and can’t get over 20 fps. drops down in the teens for no reason. Normally I’d be in the 60’s or higher. What gives???

The way I do this is with the use of 2 sound cards. I have build in sound on my mother board and a stand alone creative card in my machine. So default sound device is set to be the creative card. Game sound is just set to use the default sound device. Then in Teamspeak or vent set it to use your on board sound.

I’ve only been playing for a few weeks and I never played guild wars 1. So I’m wondering what the back story is with people using the word “kitten” for everything?

I also noticed a big drop recently. I looked and saw that there was a new driver released on nvidia’s website. I downloaded it and when running the install I did a custom instalation. This gives you the option to do a clean install which I did. After that my frame rate went back up a whole lot! I still dip down into the teens during a huge fight in wvw but my normal running around is again back up in the 60’s.

However I do still think there are some big time leaks in the game. My FPS does seem to jump around a lot when just looking around and moving around. But make sure your drivers are up to date. It did make a difference for me.

Would I see a fps improvement if I went from an intel 2500 to a 3570? Neither would be the k version so overclocking isn’t really an option. I’ve heard that this game is pretty cpu intensive.

Other PC specs. are gtx 460, 8 gigs ram, win7 64.

I am not 100% sure but I do not belive either do. Someone else can verify but I think you have to start over with the guild on your new server.

Wonder if the longbow would be good for it? Doesn’t it have an explosive shot?

I have done the jumping puzzle 2 times now. I did it Tuesday night and in the area where it goes pitch dark the ghosty spirit thing that follows you around would turn the lights on every so often so I was able to navigate over the pillars eventually. I tried it last night as again and the lights never came on once. I was stuck in the dark completely and could not see a thing unless I grabbed a torch off the ground. However using a torch only gives you a little light and by the time I would get back to where I needed to be the torch would go out. Unless I’m missing something on this part of the puzzle how are you suppose to make it through that part if the lights never come on and your not a class that has any light giving abilities? I’m a warrior and cannot use a flame thrower or a torch.

I also got this last night for the first time in WvW large battles. Most of the time the game would also just crash shortly after. I have creative Xfi as well.

Are there any lockout timers on jumping puzzles? Meaning can I repeatedly run the same puzzle and keep getting loot?

I have been using teamspeak 3 for a little while now playing Swtor and has been running fine. When using it with guildwars2 people tell me that while im in game they hear a loud annoying buzzing sound. If alt tab out of game the sound stops and I sound fine. It’s only when I have the game active it seems like. Iv’e googled and not been able to find anything really on the subject. Has anyone else had such an issue? Seems crazy that it would be just me! But I suppose it’s possible.

Same here. I was running with a big crowd last night and crashed around 4 times. Seemed to happen when I was beating on a door with a ton of other people.

I’m going to bump this becasuse I seem to be having the same issue. I’ve used teamspeak3 with other games and not had this issue. But since playing guild wars 2 I do. I can ctr alt del out and the noise goes away. Only when the game is running do I get it. Frustrating.

Tonight was the first night I have ever done some heavy wvw battles. Things were going pretty good for a while unitil at one time my sound just cut out and sounded like a siren. Then my game crashed. It happened a number of times after and only in wvw. I have a gtx480 1gig. 8 gigs of ram. I havn’t had any crashing issues until tonght. Anyone else?

I am a level 27 norn war and for fun would like to do a jumping puzzle. I’ve watched some videos of the pirate one in lions arch. At 27 would my level prevent me from being able to finish this for any reason? If not does the loot work in a way where I should receive a level appropriate item?

Hi guy’s. Just started playing this game about a week ago and I must say I’m enjoying it quite a bit!

I rolled a warrior to start as my main character basically because I like the idea of the class. I want to be a big building death dealer out on the battlefield in big scarry looking armor.

With that said I’ve found that I lvl faster by just working on heart quests, exploring, and my story line then I do at WvWvW. Granted I’ve not yet gotten into a guild so I’ve just been pugging so I’m being much less effective because I don’t really know what’s going on.

Does anyone have any suggestions on gearing up as I lvl? And what talents and traits I should be focusing on? Seems like eventually you will have all talents purchased but I’m not sure if I’m spending my traits wisely. I have 10 in strenght and that’s all for now that it will allow me put in. what else should I be putting points into? Also I’m not really wanting to spend a lot of karma on gear that I will out lvl really fast so should I just be using what ever I can find through quests and such and not worry about gear until I get 80?

I was looking at ASUS VE278Q 27 for a monitor.

I have an i5 2500 (locked) so I can’t OC it but ehh… So you think I’ll be good to go with my current card if I get a 27 inch monitor?
