The new Molten Fused Gauntlets look great, however, the molten aspect of the gauntlets makes it difficult to match it with many other dye colors.
By enabling players to dye the molten area to match their current dye scheme, these awesome gloves will become easier to incorporate into their gear setup without standing out like a sore thumb.

naw, there is a chest after defeating the 2 bosses on that platform; the two bosses you kill before you plant the bombs. the chest has all the new goodies inside.
If your group doesn’t know that planting bombs starts the countdown timer, and you disconnect during the final fight with the two bosses, the likelihood of being able to reach and loot that final chest is terrible.
By the time you login, sit through 2 loading screens, wait for your group to finish fighting to be able to use the nearest WP, and start to run to the final bosses platform, if those oblivious bomb planters don’t notice your toon isn’t there, you get ported behind the final gate and won’t be able to reach the chest from that point because the WP’s disappear.
Anyone else get screwed over on looting that chest from something like this? Why can’t there be a WP at the final boss platform after it dies? Wouldn’t it be nice if the chests you didn’t loot appeared like a daily chest does if you get kicked or leave the dungeon?

You, my new friend, are my hero. Any if not all of these suggestions would make world boss encounters feel less trivial since their current implementation is basically a boring and guaranteed win without the possibility for failure.
Since the game’s release, I’d been thinking of ways to improve these bosses to require more of it’s players than typical dynamic events, and you definitely hit the nail on the head with these ideas. I wholeheartedly support this, and I hope someone from Anet sees this thread because I’d like my game’s world bosses to expect more from me than just following the crowd while beating on a predictable, and therefore unexciting, giant loot pinata.
having the same issue. i was logged in about 30 minutes ago, logged to eat lunch, and now i cannot connect.
i was able to get it to activate, but sometimes it kicks in for less than a second before being downed; it seems as though conditions still tick through it despite being “invuln”. it just seems pretty buggy.

Consortium Clipper Focus Skin displays movement physics for the ship in the bottle when looking at it in the preview or hero window, however, the actual in-game model shows the ship being stationary and without movement physics whatsoever.

while i think this is a great idea, the price should be 180-210 trophies instead of 120 as to not crush the market too much with the flood of lodestones that’d hit the market.
another idea would be to add something like the new Orr box to dungeons where it’s 120 trophies for some t6 crafting materials, a decent chance for random cores or lodestones, and a good chance to receive cores or lodestones associated with the dungeon, and this could even be added to wvw to be bought with badges as well.
this method is in-line with Anet’s love affair with RNG, and it could be implemented in both pve and wvw, so people can choose which gameplay acquisition method the player prefers. also, it would reduce the chance that the lodestone market would be flooded until the prices on these items were in the toilet.

Well, as I made progress, I’ve noticed I was getting less and less yellow loot during my fractal runs and now I get a rare only once in 2 or 3 days (mostly do lvl 20 daily and then switch to alt).
I agree with this. I’m up to fractal lvl 41, and prior to the Jan 28th patch, I was getting 3-8 rares per run for about 300+ runs according to my achievements, but after the patch I’m lucky if I see a rare. For example, my first 3 fractal runs after the patch only gave blues and greens from chests, but not 1 rare save for a crystal core for frac lvl 28, 38, and 40.
Also, the people I’ve been running fractals with also noticed a significant decrease in rare drops, so either we are all crazy and experiencing a streak of terrible luck, or rare and exotic drop rates were nerfed whether intentionally or accidentally… I smell dat fish!
Lastly, I’ve been farming sparks & air elementals in Orr to work towards a Gift of Light for weapons, however, after farming for weeks, I’ve recorded my drops and average about 1 lodestone per 2-3 hours, so I’ve considered giving up farming to just selling stuff to buy them from the BLTP. One day, I farmed for 4 hours and didn’t see a rare drop the entire time even after killing the Champion Risen Knight and Veteran Air Elementals that spawn south of Cathedral of Zephyrs. It’s just disheartening that there isn’t a consistent farming method for Charged Cores or Lodestones because 2-3 hours of farming for 1 lodestone avg with 200+ magic find is just ridiculous.
….champions and veterans still feel like a waste of time and effort since I either get a green or blue, but mostly junk loot or even nothing at all after attacking the enemy for the entire kill. now that’s some bullcrap.

i’ve been having the same issue. whenever i exit gw2, there is still a process left running, and if i try reopening the game, i get an irritating prompt that pops up saying gw2 is already running about 15 seconds later. the only fix i’ve found is just killing all gw2 tasks after exiting, then loading the game again. first began after the jan 28th patch, and i’ve already attempted to repair the game :/
as someone who recently killed it with this irritating change to the encounter, all i’m going to say is be mindful of the dual stack of coffins on the west wall, and hopefully you’ll have enough ppl willing to stand back with the npc and protect it while a small group stacks on you to work down grenth’s health since the rest of the people around probably won’t be able to reach him without dying to the new death fall mechanic.
there is definitely something bugged about the Grenth event now… pretty ridiculous.

yeah, it’s sheathed position doesn’t seem proper especially when compared to every other scepter. I hope it’s a bug that’ll get fixed eventually because it’s oddly irritating to watch whenever i sheathe it.
they need to move the bony end down to where the hand is currently at, and the hand should be down by the back of the knee/calf area on your toon to make it look correct.
also, when the scepter is unsheathed, it feels as though the hand is facing upside-down. it’d look better if it looked as though it were reaching out to grab something infront of it instead of trying to awkwardly cuff someone’s balls.

the issue is an overabundance of ascended rings for players who are fractal frequenters while the collectible/crafting fractal materials are an rng account bound nightmare for most players. it seems logical for players to hope that anet would remedy this situation by making these “useless” rings salvageable for a chance at the vials/globs/shards, so many people are holding onto these extra rings hoping that something changes with the fractal update patch in january.

i hope they become salvageable for a chance at vials/globs/shards. i have an assortment of 12 ascended rings that have little or no use for me other than wasting bank space. at the same time, i’ve been desperately farming fractals for the rng drops to make my infusions, and after reaching my 200th run today, i still only have 3 vials, 2 globs, and no shards at level 26… starting to get a little aggravated with the current system.
i just started having this issue today, however, no other programs i’m using are having connectivity issues whatsoever. i’m in san diego, ca, usa but i’m playing on Blacktide [EU].
After this recent patch, I noticed the change in the BLTP background window, and I don’t really care for the coloring of it. The previous background was easier to read text against, however, this new one has yellow and orange tones making rare/exotic item text slightly more difficult to read. Anyone else feel similar?

yeah, same thing just happened to my group. all of us eventually got ported into the bugged cage, and since it couldn’t be broken, we were simply stuck there. boss and adds didn’t attack us, so we had no way of trying to glitch out using various blink/charge/teleport abilities. there really should be a return to checkpoint button available while bugs like this are an issue.

A very special case, but worth mentioning in my opinion since it’s bugging me:
In the Urban Battlegrounds Fractal, the trait Deceptive Evasion (Dueling X) simply doesn’t work. Yes, I tried it several times and in battle mode. Is it because of the Charr models?
Yeah, I’ve noticed Deceptive Evasion wasn’t producing clones while in the AC Explorable path when you are turned into a spirit/ghost.
I think whenever you’re model is disguised as something else, Deceptive Evasion stops working. Also, I’ve actually mentioned this in an in-game bug report several patches ago (around the end of September), and it’s yet to be addressed, so who knows when it’ll be fixed.

Yeah, this really sucks. I’ve been trying for over 20 minutes now, and I’m starting to feel more and more foolish with every attempt.
I’m seeing this error as well. Also, after trying to login several times now, I was able to see a different error that shows “Transaction in progress. Please wait a few minutes and try again.”
However, if I continue to attempt another login, it goes back to “The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications or connecting through campus network.”
My internet is working fine, and my firewall settings haven’t changed since I was playing this morning. I can even access my original Guild Wars, but GW2 isn’t connecting now…. rather frustrating.
NOTE: my guildmates are saying that my account shows me being online despite me being unable to connect at the login screen. Also, when my guildies tried finding my character in the Heart of the Mists (non-overflow) where I’d logged out, it’s actually not there.

i was just inside the dungeon, but 1 of my party members disconnected after we ported to the first fractal area, and when they logged back on, they couldn’t get into the dungeon again. we all left the dungeon thinking it just needed to be reset, and now we are stuck outside twiddling our thumbs because we aren’t getting the dungeon popup on the gate and can’t enter the dungeon again.
same. happened twice with my group now. it’s very frustrating to spend hours in a dungeon only to get screwed by a stupid door in the end. i wish anet had some in-game gm’s to deal with this bullkitten.
Same on Desolation [EU]. The door is closed and the event is bugged. Anet should remove the doors for now because this is getting ridiculous.
tried different npc locations to get in, joined groups inside already, logged out, switched characters, exited game, reset router, and i’m still getting this error as well. please address!

I fail to see how you can claim that stats from one source are inherently different than stats from another.
The stat gain from food is nowhere close to the amount gained from looking at 1 specific stat from a full set of gear. Also, based on your argument, it’s safe to say that discussing this topic with someone like you is not going to provide any worthwhile constructive criticism.
The common suggestion is to take MF% off of gear while buffing the consumables, so players can only have effective performance stats through gear & have the option of high MF% from food if they’d like without having to burden their group.
I agree wholeheartedly that magic find should be removed from gear, especially due to the growing issues regarding the overabundant use of this performance inhibiting stat in pick-up/pug groups.
Anet should simply increase the MF% on the consumables for people who want a higher chance at rare drops. This would force players to actually use performance enhancing stats instead of holding their group back for personal gains. Also, the MF% cooking food would be more profitable as well.
Please Anet! I’m begging you to remove MF% from gear and increase the consumable MF% options instead. PLEAAAASSSEE!!!
i agree. i also bought a karma piece i didn’t “actually” want, however, i just didn’t know the set’s pieces had different stat types on each piece. anyhow, i was stuck with this piece with healing power on it, and yeah…. 40k down the crapper.

it’d be nice to have an indicator showing there is an “instanced area” there while someone has the pact item in their bag.
also, while the entrance into the area is now fixed, there is no instance exit once inside, so players have to waypoint out or use pvp ports to get back to lion’s arch. please address.
my group just found out about this as we arrived at the broken door… i hate everything! lol hopefully a hotfix patch tonight? pretty please? arah is the only semi challenging dungeon, so i hope this is fixed promptly.

removing authenticator fixed it for me and a few others having the issue.
been disconnecting like crazy ever since the patch, and i’ve never had this issue prior. it’s not “lagging out” either, it’s just dropping me completely in the middle of combat. error 7
i’m using eagle with a high power/crit/crit dmg% and it’s glorious, especially since clones benefitting from crit chance w/ sharper images = awesome!
i haven’t been in an arah group that didn’t bypass mobs by using group stealth, swiftness, and/or portals. without it, arah runs can take roughly 25-45 minutes longer depending on the group, and the arah paths are already quite lengthy with the bypass methods: 1.2-2.5 hours in most cases.
the worst situation regarding arah: if the person who seeds the instance quits the group due to time constraints or lack of progress (usually stuck at lupi for pugs), it kicks everyone and resets the instance, so all of your progress is lost… all that time and effort wasted because 1 person decides to give up, and you can’t simply find a replacement and continue the dungeon due to this annoying oversight. I know the dungeon system isn’t perfect, and they have a lot to work on, but this is something that should be high on their priority list.

Guesting needs to be implemented on live already. I have multiple friends across various servers that I cannot play with when I want to because of the 1-day lockout on transfers. That, and my guild doesn’t tolerate xfers to the opposing wvw servers during the week, so that makes my particular situation even more painful.
i’ve noticed it a few times. if it’s an intentional change, it could be to allow your opponent the ability to dodge the phantasm’s attack if necessary. however, if it’s a bug, then as always, hopefully it’ll be addressed eventually.
for me, it’s been most apparent with iberserker in dungeon runs because that short delay will sometimes bring death to the phantasm before it does any damage whatsoever. [cast iberserker. it appears, but stands there for a second or so. mob turns and attacks it with one hit. izerker dies pathetically.]
if they decide to keep the delay on phantasms, i hope they take the cast time off of the others to make them more instantaneous with summoning like iberserker is.

Citadel of Flame – Path 1: Spent the past 4 hours working on the final boss, Legendary Searing Effigy, and have concluded there has to be a bug with the spawning of the shards around the room.
My group was stacked with poisons and other conditions to keep his healing manageable. With our setup, we were able to get the boss down to 25% no problem, but once we get there, the boss begins summoning about 10-15 shards every 10 seconds all around the room. It’s near impossible to clear with 5 people when this occurs.
We watched other videos where they used similar strategies, and the boss was only dropping around 5 shards roughly 20 seconds apart which is much more reasonable.
The encounter definitely needs to have a dev take a look at it because it’s overturned or bugged to hell with the rate and speed that the shards get summoned.
