If someone could comment on what I’m about to say to let me know if it is a good idea or show my my error in thought, that’d be great.
I think you should reduce your total critical chance to 80 and then try to get fury for a good portion of the time. This could maybe allow you to get more power and vitality
Thanks! This is the first one I’ve seen.
So you are amazing… And I think I love you. Would you mind posting your build? I’m just getting my thief up to 80 and will Prob be analyzing this for tips and tricks haha.
1 mix of both?
2 solo imo
Attention Current ET members as well as those looking to join! We are looking to create an off-hours “guild” (no rep required so you can stay and rep other guilds) to help organize and form up our off-hours fighting (or what we have of it). We are looking for recruits to join to help get organized. The point of making a guild for it is for communication off-peak hours to run an efficient battlefront. You may contact myself (other ign is Varic Mortel) or post here. A new commander looking to join our server (Isis Seraphim) and help create the guild, so contact her as well.
You guys are the best. thanks for answering!
I’m a nooooob when it comes to crafting, so I’ll take any and all advice/info I can get. But overall i’m looking to learn how to craft Whisperblade.
I see on the wiki the list of ingredients I need, and it says the source: Mystic Forge. I have a few questions.
-Does this mean, I just dump these 4 ingredients into the mystic forge and out comes my sword?
-Is this a guaranteed thing? (100% or is there a chance of failure or i get something stupid i dont want?)
-Do I need to be a certain crafting level to do this, particularly for Whisperblade?
-Are there any other pre-reqs for me to do this? Do i need to first research the ingredient list somehow? something like that I dont know about?
Thanks for any and all help. Other miscellaneous info is appreciated too. Thanks!!
It doesn’t? What does close to death affect then?
I enjoy running MM and think I will focus the rest of my traits in more of a power setup. My question is should I go 30 in spite for the close to death trait and get 20% damage when foe is below 50%, or should i go for the trait that causes damage and poison when my minions die?
that’s what i’m doing now. I guess i was mostly wondering if I should just save up for a precursor or risk the forge…don’t know which usually ends up costing more.
Would it be more worthwhile, monetarily, to sell my exotics on the trading post or to do something else with them, like throw them in the mystic forge? Also, what is the chance of getting a precursor by putting four of them in the mystic forge?
I’m curious, what kind of build/stat spread do you find most effective in:
1) pve
2) pvp
2a) pvp 1v1 (where both players are about equally skilled…so no help from team)
Also, I’m always tossed up on focusing on power (and if so what secondary) or crits, so I’m curious which you guys found to give a) highest burst damage but enough to kill a player and b) highest dps.
To elaborate overall what I’m looking for, I’m wondering what spread of stats (crit chance, crit camage, power, healing power, boon) will be most effective? I know all kinds will work and this will be a very subjective question. Will a power focused thief be more effective than a condition damage focused thief? what would be your secondary stat? Will focusing on crit damage or chance instead of power yield more effective results?
Please tell me your answer, in your opinion and from your experience, this. I’m hoping to learn more insight on the thief.

What class can, 1v1 (so no help from team or friends) burst-kill the quickest? By burst kill I mean kill someone the fastest, so doing a burst of damage, but enough damage to kill someone. And by someone I mean a player who is somewhat skilled at his/her profession against someone just as skilled at his/her profession. I realize fighting different professions may have different results, but I’m looking for overall and in general.
Originally I thought it would be a thief, but then I keep reading that warriors may actually have higher DPS than thiefs, which means they might be able to burst damage down a foe quickly too.
What are your thoughts?
The mark of blood left after dodging from the trait mark of evasion only applies 2 stacks of bleed instead of 3. Also appears to be unaffected by greater marks trait, but unsure.
Multi-part question:
How do I change my home world? Is it still free? And if so, how long will it be free until?
Thanks in advanced.
I would hhave put this in another thread, but it got off topic by spammers.
I find the jagged horror trait useless. Why? Because when one is formed, it is after killing my enemy. When fighting a single higher leevel mob, it is pointless. Especiallly sincee it dies from degen before I can move to the next monster. During fights with multiple enemies, only one is still summoned due to the CD. Also, it only has timeto attack once or twice before degen and aoe kills it. It seems only with the death nova trait can this trait be useful. However I have also noticed that more often than not, when in a larger group fight, the horror dies from degen while running between foes more often than from being attacked by a foe, rendering the death nova useless too.
Any other thoughts?
ANet, this trait can use some rework. Even just taking off the degen could make it useful
