Wednesday afternoon and Maguuma hasn’t declared victory yet. Maybe they’re waiting to see if they can pass SoS so they can claim some sort of victory that is measurable unlike “Our roamers are better so we are technically the winners this week”.

Props to folks on Maguuma who actually show up to fight (INC, VR, Pyro, Ark, etc).

First off, it is Tuesday, let’s not get ahead of ourselves buckaroo.

Second, Mag showed what they could do yesterday, they flipped BG’s BL and kicked the kitten out of us for the better part of NA, and reclaimed the PPT lead for second place right before NA / OCX switch.

I am not sure why you feel the need to be so antagonistic, I’ve always enjoyed fighting Mag, and I can’t wait for the match-up next week and further match-ups with Mag, FA and YB.

Will sell body to never ever face Yak’s Bend again.

Considering I killed your thief twice to your killing me 0 times yesterday in 1v1s, I feel I backed myself up sufficiently. Oh and I did it with a zerker rifle warrior. You should be embarrassed. Not only should a rifle warrior NEVER beat a thief, but you’re running a dueling spec, I’m running a zerg spec, and I still gave your little asura a good punting. Nobody on your dead Tier 2 server will know who I am, that’s correct. On the flip side, no one here has heard of you or your pony guild. Maybe you should just stick to ganking rangers and uplevels, leave the forums to those with the right to speak.

SoR has put out some great GvGs . Glad to see ONE and CHOO’s performances. Great guys , great players , great commanders. Proud to have fought along side you guys.

I promise you BG when the ques and the nonsense die down we will return . It has been so nice to log on and all my EST and PST guildie can just point and pick any BL (aside from EB) and just log on and play . Where we cant find solid guild groups to find , we can find huge map que zergs. Fighting a map que of people in ppt and ptv gear is still challenging for a 25-35 man guild group so were having a blast. For al havoc and guild groups that are not able to run together without ques or waiting…think to yourselves why you are in your guilds and why you enjoy the game.

For Legends Never[DIE] we play for the love of our guild and our server. Its a thin line between the two and it was a hard choice for us to leave . But our guild was dying in the ques , our EST guys would fight through the ques and by the time the ques popped for PST players EST would be asleep. Our 8pm PST guild runs died out about 2 weeks prior to league due to ques increasing. We would get 15 guys in at 8pm PST because they were east coast players, then at 11pm PST our west coast guys would get in but our other friends were logged off and drained. We spoke of transferring from day 1 of league , it was bound to happen.

On top of that , if you are on a server that has gaps of coverage and you wait in que its the worst of both worlds. If you have a que but you log onto domination , t3 keeps and towers, abundance of supply , you can have a great time. You can build tons of omegas (our favorite past time) and go capture things with ease. But if you have to wait in que to be on BL’s that have forces scattered all around , and multiple guild groups running tagless, all of which are at 50% or less force due to ques, its a waste of time and sucks the fun out o the game, at least for us.

SoR has one of the most incredible communities in GW2 there is no doubt. We love SoR and do miss our friends. I just wanted to make this post because I read multiple posts about guilds and players being stuck in ques and I just wanted to give you my feedback on it .

From my Experience with Maguuma So Called Roamer’s is when its 1vs1 they start running for the hills or just run into they find guildies they turn on you right away once they out number you.

It’s alright guys, let Maguuma think they’re good at roaming since it’s really all they have going for them really. They’ve hardly owned their own garrison and have little to no idea on how to take/defend a keep… Hopefully next season they’ll give us all a better competition, just sayin’. :/

Phantasm is 100% training wheels. You can be absolute garbage, and all you need to do is set up a few phantasms and then hide in stealth while whoever you’re fighting dies. 0 respect for people who run these kinds of builds.

Put an experienced mesmer behind that build and it’s ridiculous though. I have more trouble with that mesmer build on my warrior than almost anything else in the game right now, including the perplexity rune builds.

I have no respect for people who run subpar builds because it’s “more of a challenge” or whatever I think that’s a terrible gaming philosophy. I mean I could run around with an armorless trap ranger in WvW but I’d just be bringing my team down trying to prove a point.

Every build for every class is competing for a handful of roles on a team and if people decide to bring less than optimal builds all they do is hurt their teammates and the overall effectiveness of their comp and I personally find that unacceptable.

I don’t think we’re talking about team play right now, mostly solo.

SoR is best farm NA.

I fought an oPP thief last night on Mag BL he hit like a wet noodle and then stealthed away. Couldn’t be bothered to chase him. I know all your blobs run PVT gear but do your roamings groups run PVT aswell?

Mel! How’s Magguma roamers so far?. I’ll log in a few hrs to finally face some of them. Hopefully the queue isn’t a killer…

They hit hard but are squishier than anything I’ve faced in a long time, same with most Mag hammer trains, a lot of damage output but once you get in the back lines everything is easy. I will admit it is more difficult to get into their backlines than a lot of servers but we’ve been fighting BG Hammer trains for so long that Maguuma’s just aren’t as scary. So, yea I will compare Mag’s Hammer trains to old BG’s (recently BG’s have been a huge disappointment, I think it is due to a lot of new WvW’ers playing now, which isn’t a bad thing).

You ask if people really think of Maguuma like that? The answer is yes. Emphatically yes. Just about everyone I’ve talked to from other servers agree. The sad part is, I’m sure most of maguuma isn’t really that bad. However, you have several people who just utterly ruin your servers reputation by doing stuff LIKE THIS. If you don’t want people to hate on your servers, talk to the few people who make your server look so bad.

And yes, TC likes ppt It got us out of T4, out of T3, and almost into T2! We come to play WvW, not spvp. If we just wanted small groups doing death matches, we’d all play spvp

I was in EP when they first fought Agg, and I took part in their training. Good stuff you know. Also you made me giggle with that gif at the end.

It was the only image I had that could properly convey the kind of “hynernyuerhuehuehunyer” tone I was trying to adopt with my post.

But yeah, GvG training typically ends up being team deathmatches, but the actual GvGs are more like open field fighting than anything else: juking veils, counting stabilities, stacking empowers and bombing downed clumps. Saying it’s just 15 1v1’s isn’t an accurate description.

Seriously, you guys should try it. Even if not against us. It’s a lot of fun.

Oh I know how fun it is, I’ve always wanted to take part in one, but the closest I came was to be a part of a pug GvG. I’m not about to leave my guild just because of whats been said above for one that is willing to though. I like the community and the people are great. We’re making excuses yeah, but we actually arent ready for something -at this moment-… I’m sure one of us will mention it either tonight or tomorrow, but I’d be interested in seeing how we do in a controlled situation myself.
(PS. I like GvGs, I like watching them, and I like listening to coms during them. The only problem I have with GvG is that usually you lose all owned objectives on the map while people watch…)

A word to anyone who does care to fight us because we do intend to GvG when we can make the time to organize it, those who are rude and carry a “GvG me bro” attitude will never GvG us. A ton of disconnects tonight. And as far as what VR runs we have been playing the ranged classes for about a month now, people may be getting bored with it, it might be time to try some new theory-crafting of comps to keep things fresh. I hope JQ and TC are ok with being our guinea pigs, in the meantime you might see something that interests you for your own groups. 30 hours with no sleep and 4 double-shots of SoCo are going to put me out for the night. May all of your fights be epic bloodbaths.

Yeah, i was commanding the JQ Force on Maguuma BL last night, and i must admit. Your tactics did take me off guard a bit and caused me to adjust strategy.

Quite a change from what Blackgate and SoR run. But still fun. I’ll have to theorycraft a bit to better counter that in the future.

With regards to “adjusting strategy”, which of the following JQ techniques did you employ?

1) Recruit more players;

2) Drop more open-field siege;

3) Hide in nearest T3 tower/keep;

4) Stack with greater regularity;

5) Force more PVT usage;

6) Run from even fights with greater haste;

7) Ignore outcome of battle, brag about PPT;

8) 1 and 3;

9) All of the above.

The adjustment was to pretty much ignore whatever frontline you guys put out. Rush past them and focus on your Ele’s and necros…and stay mobile.

Seemed to work a bit better.

It seemed the adjustment was teaming up with TC :P, but they had to hit garrison and we had to let go of that WK farm.

Please Maguuma did not go into gold league for rewards.

Videos are on page 3, from what I remember we stopped a full queue zerg for the first 1 hour from taking WK, before SoS got greedy and went for our garrison. I remember very well you getting pushed back into your spawn and that sweet sweet WK farm when you guys kept running back and ressing the lord. What’s funny is HzH didn’t wipe us once.
