Honestly guardians got tons of swiftness.
Guardian doesnt deserve a single minimal buff as it is atm.
And please you wanna qq about speed? ask mesmers how they feel, go on ill wait.
You implying mesmers don’t already have either perms swiftness or the chrono trait for moving 50% faster JUST for taking chrono line? Boon share mesmers will get 9s of swiftness JUST for having sig of inspiration on which is core to their build, every 10 seconds. That’s just the passive!
Like…a cat? Hmmm.
Actually I was thinking something a bit more mystical.
Just throwing this out there. What if the light armor spawned a familiar of sorts?? From the chest piece on female, it seems entirely possible. Also with all lights being a mage of some kind, familiars would fit.
I think chronomancer’s healing well is the only healing skill that is ground targeted. (not sure) So i would think this could be an oversight in the release of HOT. But yes you are correct, logic would dictate that a heal skill should snap to your location…
I don’t play mesmer or use snap targeting. I prefer to use the option that won’t let you attempt to cast out of range.
Necro well heal does too, but that’s also a well. Think that’s the only ones.
Urgoz from Cantha was a hunter, he could have the shortbow. We could see things like splinter weapon and vampire weapon skills from ritualist come back. Maybe even turret like ghosts?!
There IS a flail LIKE skin. The Super Adventure Box maces act like flails in that they dangle and whatnot!
I wouldn’t mind an Xpac that is released in full instead of in tiny little chunks for 2 years.
People would blast through it like everything else and then claim content drought for a few years. Can’t tell you how many people had all the specialization rewards in the first week or so.
Raids and their mechanics:
1) people have to learn these mechanics when they’re new, both the player and the wing. Kind people post what they find so others can read up and have a head start.
2) guilds/friends are a good place to start with looking for groups accepting of new people. Personally, I teach people in my guild and when we need to pug spots we don’t ask anything but the ability to listen.
3) raids do NOT need certain comps (2 chrono, 2 Druid…etc). The first boss was beaten by THREE people. Almost all bosses have been beaten where everyone was one class, everyone was a healer, etc. don’t let comp fool you. SUGGESTED comps are there to help new comers have an easier time with it, as enrage mode is not the end of the world, but certainly a harder world.
It doesn’t have to be useful in pvp. Wars don’t take banners in pvp, why would a sunspear? However, in pve, raids, wvw, banners are just fine.
Since they are spirits, they could make them … invunerable to phisical damage and take condi damage only :P
They used to be immune to all damage and they were trash then as well. About the only time Spirit Weapons were ever considered “good” was when they first put the knockback on the hammer auto attack. The reason was because the hammer never stopped attacking and in PvP if you didn’t have stability you would get CC’d for the entire 15 seconds the hammer was up (which is what PvP feels like nowadays anyhow).
To make spirit weapons be considered worth while, all Anet has to do is make them minions like the necro’s minions and have no duration. I could at least see the sword being used in raids over Test of Faith for the 3rd utility then. And who knows, maybe burn guard in PvE would be viable with permanent pets and the trait, but I doubt it.
If they did this, I feel the CD needs to be nerfed to something similar to necro pets. The 45-60 second cooldown is very high. Even necro’s minions are like 15-20
more skill based? I think it is too hard to reach legendary
can you sell a legendary division booster in the gem store? I would pay 8000 gems for itNot everyone belongs in legendary – it should be hard to get into.
As for the second question – no.
Brace yourselves. Salty Players are coming.
As someone who’s played the condi Mesmer, the damage is high, the stealth is annoying, but defensive and healing abilities is low. Most of the defense I use is either stealth, confusion with clones, and stealing boons. Overall, not terribly hard to beat. We lived through season 2, we can survive condi mes
And for everlasting toys, gizmos and tonics, they should be unlocks, but not accessible from the hero panel wardrobe, just the bank. So any character can go to a bank and take an enchanted broom if they unlocked it, but if they want to have it readily available at all times for all characters, they would an account wide slot with the broom in it or bank consumables, or the permanent bank contract in the slot.
If ya did this, people like me who enjoy having tonics and toys available anywhere but not rich enough to spam bank access would be able to enjoy them far less
The scribe materials like lumber cores and whatnot would be awesome but there’/ tons and they kinda fall into the whole “inscriptions etc” bit. However, doublouns/petrified/bloodruby/amalgamated gems/extra currency from hot maps like chak eggs/vision crystals
I know there’s more but can’t think right now
Spirit weapons is something the guardian has that is really not worth bringing often. It’s also missing a healing and elite version. I’d like to see a change that can bring spirit weapons to the frontline of possibly using it in either pvp or high level play like raids.
It’s just an aspect of the guardian that fell to the wayside
I would absolutely love this idea! The sunspears were amazing in gw1! I also like the idea of using the virtues more. Also having banners would mean more support roles for guardian which fits into the original idea and is an option to replace the ps ones.
As a main dh/guard I can tell you. 1) don’t stand in traps, since dh came out people cried traps are too strong yet they STILL stand in them. 2) most meditrap DH are spike builds, which many gw1 players remember the ranger spike, it plays similar. Blow a bunch of cooldowns ASAP, have to switch to sword quickly and play defensive until the cooldowns are back, typically 30 seconds is expected. A LOT happens in 30 seconds.
My known counters are thieves with range who know to not stay close, power reapers, hard ccs (see warrior), and mesmers are still an issue. However, DH is not over powered. Just don’t stand in the traps, pop and run out/use a block, if they’re that kind of DH. If they’re the other kind, survive the spike and you should be good for thirty seconds to get them.
Also, stability is a large help against DH.
Because an added challenge would be to keep people watching their health. Without it, it’s all just standing around dodging mechanics. Also, by adding in the pulsing damage, your health goes down so a Druid can heal and apply grace of the land
Nothing in Gaile’s post says tomorrow is the balance patch. It could be at least another week. Or tomorrow, yeah, but no specific date was given there.
Unless it was specified on Reddit or in another thread somewhere that it would be concurrent with the Halloween event?
Tomorrow is the perfect time to implement an update. It’s a Tuesday, when Halloween comes in, so big things happen. Sounds like a good time to me
Regen only really matters when someone has healing armor. If they don’t, why bother even expecting it? It would only do like 20, compared to a healer’s one of like 300
You’ll still be able to get the wings, even with the considerable league changes coming with Season 5.
Does this mean people like me who only have 10 games to win and 2 tier thresholds to cross have a chance to get this year’s legendary without restarting?
I’m not sure if it goes here or in another spot, but I think it’s now bugged in a different way. The facets are now automatically removed like running out of energy after approx. 2 minutes after activating. Not sure if on purpose, or bug.
