went to sleep with a fully-fortified keep and an orb on darkhaven’s map, many of us needing sleep also.

Woke up to 0 orbs, no keeps and dominant map being fully fortified.

Yet another timezone warfare story /shrug We did great while we were all focusing the limited #‘s of dedicated wvw’ers on one map, though. ninja’d the orb, held our ground again and again. No complaints here.

Last night was the most fun WvW night I had in three weeks from my perspective, it was pretty back and forth most of the night. Towards the end you could see the time zone difference as Fergusons Crossing started logging and getting taken over. We held a lot of territory and beat back Darkhaven into their garrison repeatedly, fighting them on open fields and owning them for the most part wherever we went. But we are not androids, and humans require sleepy time. At this point I am just used to waking up to a huge score difference from being night capped. Anvil Rock doesn’t have a night crew. If only we could convince some large NA guilds and Oceanic/European/Asian guilds to move to our server we would be very competitive. But it seems everyone gravitates to the upper mid to top tier servers.

well, whats anvil has to offer for the guilds?

our night crew is only 30-40 people on entire server!!! ur day crew has way more people than us, quite a badge collecting fest. really.

We’re in 3rd place… just like NSP is in their bracket. The difference is that we never bragged about how awesome our organization and skills were.

There is basically only one organized guild.. or two carrying the entire server of Anvil Rock at the moment. People have to sleep at some point. Everyone transferred off the server over the past three weeks against Yaks Bend and Northern Shiverpeaks. At this rate you are right, Anvil Rock will be in the bottom tier and only random pugs will be doing WvW on it.

No, I mean in the video the alter respawns immediately after being broken and they kill the mesmer. Also when ours was hacked we controlled quaggans. In any case its just a strange difference in the hackings that I noticed and am wondering about.

How did your altar come back? When NSP hacked AR the last two weeks, our altars never respawned after they were destroyed. The hackers grabbed the orb and flew them back to NSP garrisons and keeps as well within seconds. We never managed to get a fraps though, it happened so fast. All we managed to get was a screenshot of the orb flying out of the keep but the hacker logged before the shot was taken so all we got was a picture of the orb in the sky.

I can’t help but laugh at the sense of urgency when the shoe is on the other foot. Did you wake up to Yaks having taken over most of the map? They did that to us too a few weeks ago. Screenshot of the current score please.

I think they should just remove the orbs until the hacks/exploits/bugs are worked out. Flipping the bonus with the unmanned buff would help as well.

C’mon guys, Yaks Bend is a good server. Stop blaming them winning on hacks.

Anvil Rock will listen to your pleas for mercy and consider them in a somewhat timely manner, should you wish to discuss the terms of your surrender to save yourselves the bloodshed that will be to come. Commence.

I see it as an exploit. If it falls outside of the match then its an exploit. How can you sit there with a straight face and claim its a valid tactic to use a server transfer option that is currently free, to transfer to the opposing server and then relay information about what is being said in their team chat to your server, using a 3rd party voice chat program.

In a real competition this would be seen as cheating and you would be disqualified.

The only reason they haven’t addressed this, in my opinion, is because there isn’t much they can do about it.

They could however, make it so that if you transfer after a match has started, that you are unable to participate in WvW on your new realm until the next match.

I don’t think it has been confirmed, but I think I am half hoping half guessing.

As far as Arena Net, it took multiple servers constantly complaining to get them to acknowledge it. Now that they did I am somewhat satisfied. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I was over on Anvil Rock Borderlands fighting NSP between our Garrison and Dawns. When we broke through the first time you guys had some excellent siege weapon placement that took us out, since then it has just been zerging back and forth between your army and ours. Starting to get late though and people are logging but it was some great fighting. I honestly don’t remember the last time me or the guildies I run with encountered any serious battle with Borlis. The other day I think a group of 10 Borlis ran up on a fight with us and NSP at a tower, but we beat them back.

In any case, other crap aside, its been a fun two weeks with NSP and Im glad you are moving up to the next bracket (mostly so we get some fresh faces in here) I think threads like this one are starting to show how sick we are getting of each other.

As far as Borlis, we might be seeing you in the next one, if not, then get with whatever guilds you have going on there and see what the gameplan is. In fact do that anyway

If people are attacking you on Borlis from Anvil Rock, its most likely just randoms. Aside from the Anvil Rock Coalition, we do have a fair share of pugs that just zerg around aimlessly most of the time and are not aware of happenings in ARC. As far as the guild I am in is concerned, the order was given not to attack Borlis unless you attacked us.

Just as tiresome as getting hacked and reading posts about how great the other servers score is I am sure.

Its been seen three times in the last two weeks, that isn’t saying how many times it has happened. You guys do have organization between your guilds, Ill give you a nod there. But threads like this need to go, If Anvil Rock had hackers stealing the orb and fielding us victories through automatic three orb bonus, I wouldnt be on here bragging about our score and posting screenshots and patting myself on the back. Just sayin.

And no I havent transferred since I started this game, Anvil Rock is the server I picked when I started out.

Its already been reported, already have been numerous threads on the subject as well.

If you haven’t been reading the forums at all for the past two weeks, people are using fly hacks, underground hacks and using this to steal orbs. They do it in plain sight during prime time on Friday night for instance.

I’m just telling the truth, you can’t fault me for telling the truth.

Anvil Rock always destroys Borlis Pass, and always will. Not sure where you get off acting like your server is better than ours, we proved again that you aren’t. The only reason your server is even on the map at all is because a lot of peoples morale was ruined on our side after NSP hacked the orb from us for the second and third time in our last two weeks of WvW.

In any case, if some hardcore guilds want to find a server with short queue times, they would do good in moving to Anvil Rock. If we could get a solid Oceanic/European guild or two, we would be a pretty formidable server. We have a lot of talent, its that we are simply outmanned at times.

People have to sleep sometimes and ARC can only carry us so far, would be great to have the reinforcements

Some of those reward abilities you listed are actual abilities. I would be angry if people could just earn some of my warrior abilities by doing more WvW.

Titles, gear and things of that nature I can see, but gaining stat increases is just going to create a top heavy system down the road, no matter how long it takes to get there.

Min maxers and hardcore PvPers will do it.

Communication is key to winning any battle.

Ive noticed that if I go to sell in the Black Trader Market that the loot bags sell for more than the stuff inside them usually

Come join ARC – Anvil Rock Coalition … our Alliance on Anvil Rock. Lets start working together and get this done, we have a lot of talented guilds on our server and when we work together we destroy all of the opposition. Also if you are an Oceanic guild from another server reading this and you want to join a server with better queue times and help our night capping efforts, you would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.
Our server has short queue times, which is a good thing if you are into WvW, other than that we are still a very active server elsewhere.

NSP is hacking their way to victory. It may not be the entire server doing it, but the hackers are what is causing their high scores. They destroy the morale of the servers they hack because its clear that they will get 3 orb bonus no matter what. They also destroy the altars of the other servers so even if they did get the orb, they wouldnt have a place to put it. This is the worst way to win possible and I dont think anyone on their server should be talking about how good they are until they root out who the hackers are and get them banned. We know this wont happen though, they will turn a blind eye and pretend nothing is happening and that their victories are won through skill and not hacks.

It pretty much killed everyones morale the second time we got hacked. Thats why Anvil Rock is doing badly, no one cares anymore we are just playing to have fun and not to win.

I really hope ArenaNet finds the solution to this quickly.

We know exactly how you feel, over on Anvil Rock we have been getting hacked for the last two matchups by Northern Shiverpeaks. Our match before that we got stomped as well and it was by Yaks Bend, now posts are coming out that Yaks Bend is hacking. I do not know if they did during our match but its all starting to make sense. As a server we did pretty good until we went to the 1 week matches, which have been with Yaks Bend and Northern Shiverpeaks.

Thats good sportsmanship Blindman, if more people do what you are doing and use integrity and give the orb back that way, then it will turn the tables and make what the hacker is doing pointless. What feeds his behavior is the server saying “oh well at least we have another orb” and doing nothing about it. I agree with Gemma that aside from ArenaNet doing something to fix the problem on their end, that we as a community need to fix the problem on ours as well.

I just wish Northern Shiverpeaks would realize this as a server and follow your example.

Windmoor, your server hacked the orb from us last week and hacked it twice tonight, once on Anvil Rock and once on Borlis Pass. You must not be keeping up with current events. We ran it down twice because ANV is a superior guild and we destroyed all the opposition twice. The second time we had no altar to place it on though.

I made it because I felt my thread title described the situation better thats all.

Once again Northern Shiverpeaks is up against Anvil Rock and this time Borlis Pass.

With Guild help, this hacker has taken the orb twice. The second time he took it from us in Borlis Pass borderlands, and he dropped it in the air to let it reset up north in an attempt to put the blame on Borlis Pass.

But of course, an NSP guild and people on their server hit the Borlis Pass orb with a highly coordinated attack to take it once it reset up north.

There are obviously guilds and or people working together with the hacker or hackers to take orbs and score a win for their server.

Screenshots were taken and reports were submitted to ArenaNet, we can only hope they find and ban all involved permanently.

In PvE maybe a horse, but definitely no flying mounts ever. They ruined WoW, they ruin ever other game, don’t do it.

And you would be insane to put mounts in WvW and I seriously doubt they would ever do that, it would completely change the dynamics of the fight, speeding it up and allowing people to avoid each other.

Basically it would ruin it. I think thats what some people who post on these forums want though. Always happens with every new MMO, a bunch of kitten post bad ideas or troll threads aimed at baiting the developers into making a bad decision or aimed at tarnishing the games image.

because it ruins the chance to PvP and you end up skipping by all the work that took developers so hard to make. Its a better experience without mounts. You will realize it after a while.

Guild Wars 2 is not only the first MMO ever made, but the best MMO as well. Look at all things that came out based on it, such as WoW, and Lord of the Rings.

I care about breasts, and I hope they find a cure for all cancers. But I never understood the encouragement to get everything turned pink for a month, especially the drive to get guys to wear pink. Seems like a form of mind control if you ask me, or a way of taming people, forcing them to conform to what was previously unacceptable. Maybe its just me.

This game is awesome. Best MMO ever made.

Yes I will continue to play and support this company, because they had the balls to make hardcore world pvp where every other company tried to copy WoWs carebear PvP if thats what you can call it.

There is no monthly subscription, I get to choose how and when I decide to support them or buy new content which is a relief.

The graphics and sound and gameplay are the best any MMO released to date has produced.

The WvW is incredible and I hope they make it the main focal point of their game.

Supposedly there is a major content patch coming soon.

I am confident they will work out the existing bugs, scarce as they may be, and find new and better ways of catching cheaters/botters etc.

When will you stop going from game to game, MMO to MMO, posting negative posts about games and asking people how long they will play if this or that doesn’t change?

Im saying I want the hacker caught and I want the match reviewed, the hacker or hackers to be permanently banned, and fixes to be implemented to prevent this from happening in the future. You are taking things out of context, calm down their little fella

No you are misunderstanding what im saying. If you have a hacker to was able to take an orb like that, then its logical to assume that many orb captures of yours were taken like that. So I want ArenaNet to review the match, if its possible for them to do so, to see how many times this person has done this during our match up or in the past, and if there is more than one person doing this.
