Well if u ask me some lower lvl characters (no offense) thinks they know it all just like yesterday when I brought my lvl 40 Mesmer to run in ac.
Don’t remember the exact party but there was 1 lvl 80, three b/t 50-60, and me.
For some odd reason there was this guy (forgot who he was, thinks he knows it all) and decides to take charge. Starts telling us how easy it was and how to do this and that, ended up telling me (lvl 40 Mesmer) and lvl80 ele to tank the adds on the last try while they do spikes (took 4tries) and how to do two spikes at the same time (which didn’t make sense to me since it is easier to man 1 on each of the 4 front pillars w/1 tanking, but I let it slip). But really wasnt paying attn since I just wanna finish it.
Well at least that worked, kinda.
Then there was this argument of how to do this and who is better on the mortars. Said something about and killing rangers, then wars, eles, and necro in that order.

While that was happening I looked at this guy’s achievement score

Yep, a total of 800 pts. Anyways, they argued, kicked him out b4 the end, I grabbed my lvl 80, and did it in15 min while lvl 50-60 ppl keep dying trying to make it back. This warrior guy (lvl 56) probably died 10 times trying to make it back.
That is why lvl 80 are preferred. At least we knew that they did it sometime in the past. Also they can at least not die a billion times.
Anyways u could have used ur lvl 80, then switched on the final boss. Wouldn’t that be easier?

I think on their patch notes it saids there is one on every map.
But I have yet to see it. Wonder did all those empty mystery boxes were supposed to be filled with it…
To test out how good u r in lvl 80 do cof path 2 and see how long u will last during the kiting sequence w/Maggie b4 endboss.
It is not about gear, it is about skills, knowledge of ur character.
Or of course just do pvp.
Yeah focus ele is awesome at frats. Can eliminate many projectiles.
Gold shouldnt be able to buy you success. If you are too bad to beat a dungeon, you dont deserve the rewards no matter what.

Althoght most would result in a profit loss there is still a few ways to make a profit. 3 days ago, for example, I bought something on tp and use it to craft a ton of things at 1/2 the price on tp. I probably got 3x profit. But I am just saving it.

Now if this was to go to all paths that were hard or groups try to avoid imagine:
Arah path 4 – 60g
Cof path 3 – 60g (didn’t think it was remotely hard, but some lack coordination skills)
Cm seraph path – 60g

High dps isn’t a requirement, but sure opens up a lot more options.
Ex like my friend told me earlier today he finished Simin with 4 wars and 1 Mesmer. Basically just dps it from 55% using 4-1 spark method.
And I replied “if u didn’t finished it then that has gotta be a fail”
So what if the group failed and didn’t get past Simin. Does that mean they get a partial refund lol.
Or they accept u and boot all of them out right b4 lupi
Ac is quick gold, but it gets boring (not that the whole game is getting more boring, but doing the same run tires me, so I switch to something else instead)
but if u really want some exotic item need to go to fotm (at least 36+).
Got a dagger that I sold for 8g and another legendary precursor. Then 2 lodestones dropped (around 4g). Beats going to ac if u r asking me.
On the other hand my friend got 2 exotics and around 12 rares on 1 fotm run at lvl 40.

Did anyone here complaining play this game before fractals came out. If you did, did you forget there was plenty to do before they added that. Heres the thing. They added some stuff without fully testing it. News flash, every software company in the world, IN THE WORLD does this. Now you can play something that 90%, not 50, 90% finished that needs some polish if you want, nobodies forcing you to play this. Remember all that game that was there before fractals that i mentioned earlier. Go do that if the bugs are a “show stopper” to you.
Its great, you get a preview of something before its done. You people need a perception shift. Serisouly do you go out and buy the latest operating system the second it comes out. If you do you are seriously the biggest, most idiotic person in the world or your into sadomasochism. But hey whatever works for you. Dont be an early adopter of software if your one of those idiotic perfectionist. Software is never perfect day one of release. Words to live by. Welcome to the real world. Should have taken the “blue pill” if you wanted to stay in the matirx.
Me personally, thought it was great, I got a preview of whats to come. If I want to play it I can. Of course I run the chance of disconnecting (which i have, about as fun as jamming needles into my eyes) and lossing my progress. But now when they finish it, I wont be a total noob and can get through the stuff at a decent pace. I personally wont consider it finished till they get a looking for group feature along with it. But the end of january thing is a step in the right direction.
Yeah but I have never seen it this bad. Take this as a single player game and it cant be patched and if u wanna complete the world exploration completion, well, u can’t cuz there were some skill points that were bugged. Oh how about the escorting quest. Oh can’t cuz Npc are stuck and they can’t move. How about jumping, oh they kinda screwed that up a couple of times. Oh wait, now I am stuck in a story mode cuz i can’t exit the instance. Oh well let’s go to arah, but, the precursor quest is stuck.
And that is the company’s problem. Are you satisfied with just 90%? Why not 95%? Or even better? Bugs and glitches should be fun, not frustating to a point I have to wait for a patch to patch the patch up. I am not saying it has to be perfect, but at least player-friendly. But it isn’t at the moment.
And seriously it has been a good month and they still haven’t done much to the fotm thing. They r too busy with the wintersday event.

Cooking profit margin is one of the worst compared to other profession.
And what is up w/ the unidentified dye craft? U gather like 3G of mats, just to get a lousy common dye?
To be honest I don’t think it is fair for ppl who acquired precursor through drop. If someone spent 200 hrs grinding just so they can get a drop then it shouldnt be easy like doing a quest to do it.
Make it harder, like a 300 hour questing to get precursor or something.
But I really wish it can be acquired through specific achievements (like dungeon master for example). If u acquired dungeon master, then some trigger quest will start which would quest your toon to a precursor.
And making recipe for precursor is not really a good idea. Then gold farmers can just buy up all the mats it and make the precursors, which, in turn, would just make all mats rise too. Check out lodestones, for example.
But still implementing something like this is a good idea.

If this is again Cliffside equip your team with 10+ Experimental Teleportation Guns (aka portal guns).
So how do I use those on cages? Do u just fire them and u can portal back outside or do u have to be at a certain spot for it to work?
I also do have all the weapons. But I think my focus just takes up space and I only use it for like 1 or 2 things. Thing is if there is a guard/war or Mesmer then there is not really a reason to use focus…cuz ele def capabilities are pretty horrible (aside from can trips).
Thing is if I have to use focus then I would have to change quite a number of traits from water/arcane to earth/air. Fire is almost useless (arcane passive signet is probably better than those 2 focus skill) and water is not that great on a focus either.
But maybe it is time to dust off my focus and use it.
And this is the lesson why u don’t want a non-heavy pug party. Play with friends.

First of all I have only seen the ghost eater drop some significant stuff (the exotic ghost eater hide) in ac. Everything else is probably in chest
Now the fractals, yeah, u don’t wanna skip lots of mobs on that.
Path 1 – everyone can beat that. U can skip the final boss I think.
Maybe they should sell it for path 4. I want a refund if they fail.
Might actually think about selling it. Fear after this event is over prices will drop even more.
But this item has dropped in value. Used to be able to sell it for 50g and now 25g

Well I am spending time on legendary. But usually I hang out and play w/ friends in arah, fotm, and wvw. So I guess I am still getting legendary done, but slowly.
But depending on what u still needs
First do the easiest (completing worlds, getting gifts from dungeons, wvw, etc.
The ectos. Yeah u need lots, lots of them (or gold)
But lots are farming gold, but, I only farm every 2 or 3 days purposely. I am getting gold while progressing in fotm,, so multitasking is doing that part at the very least.
Unfortuantely not really. The energizer only costs about 35g
The legend around 400+g
So yeah long ways…

Well they will most likely change the contents of rewards
1. (probably no more bl keys, but instead maybe a mini pet set/salvage kit/or other things)
2. Have the same stuff, but costs A crapload more commendation per key (or change bl chest contents)
3. Change the captain commendation token to something else.

So i got a precursor to drop, but it is not used by my profession..
In fact it is nowhere close to my profession
And the precursor is nowhere near as much gold as the other ones (the energizer ~35g)
I wish there is like an Npc that would trade the precursor that ur class needs (since precursor is an extremely rare drop already).
Kinda like a claim ticket from the wintersday mystery boxes.

I wish if we had a precursor drop (which I did) and it wasn’t for ur class there would be some sort of Npc trading system that lets us get the precursor for our respective classes. It is kinda like a claim ticket the the wintersday mystery box has.
This is why I do my dailies with friends.
And this is why I rather do 22,24 or 32,34 dailies. Lvl 20, 30 dailies r just farmers.
Yep disconnected at lvl 36 at the shaman stage. I can’t believe devs are getting lazier trying to fix the game by putting patches in. If patches cannot be used then 50% of this game would be rendered unplayable.
I mean do u see that in any major games in ps2? I don’t even think Xbox games had that problem either.
Patch are making devs getting lazier so if there is anything wrong they can just patch it instead of hiring or getting ppl to test play the game first.
Yeah I got 1 exotic and 1 precursor in this map.
Yeah I got a precursor in fotm today. But found out it is not worth as much as I expected.
I found that staff is good against enemies that run in a supporting role. Chill + immobilize (air and earth skill) is usually the way to go for me while my party finishes them off.
But then again d/d does that too, in a different way.
Is it just me or did they put a limit on how many Passiflora nodes an be picked a day on a single char? Last week they had a comfortable 1h respawn rate. This week…at some point all nodes just go poooof(they are on the map, i can see them, i pick one and everything else is suddenly gone). Which puts them on par with ori nodes….
Yeah I noticed that too. Seems like the prolonged the spawn rate. Think I started off the day picking it, went and finished fotm, then do arah, came back and it still havent spawn.
Yeah 20 box for all alts…good idea.
Or shards if balthazar isnt open.
So far I have 2 drops like every 3 days.
Yeah this is gonna take forever is someone wants to use it for craft.
Personally I think they got a formula wrong. They must have done (.1)^2 or something and thought they doubled it.

If u had180 g u might as well play tp game so u get more gold to buy the precursor u need.

So far I have seen the 4-1 method, 3-2 method. I have even seen all 5 grab a spark and pull it. But the last one takes a lot more coordination.
My team did 4-1 then dps her to 10% get sparks again, and dps her from around 40%?
Believe my party comp is 1 war, 2 thieves, ranger, and ele.

Depending on what legendary you would want to make. If it involves something about charged lodestones….oh gawd…..it is not gonna be pretty.
Check what are the key things u need. Sometimes stuff like unidentified dyes drop and u might need to save it.
Get karma and other things that can be achievable first. Even ectos can be achievable slowly. Then worry about the other stuff

Well there is always 101 classes so here is one. Don’t Rez if u have aggro. It will just make it worse.
And every class has a different skill set that can make it easier. But if 2 of the party effs up then yeah u might have a harder time defeating it.
Bring potions and food if u can. Be prepared.

Actually I am also a jeweler and I looked at the recipe. I made some consortium chests during the lost shores event through mystic forge and was hoping to get something. Anyway these chest drop 1-2 passion flowers so I was only lucky to have 20. Then I looked at the recipe and it was like a whopping 75 passion flowers to make jewelery or something.
Yeah looked at it and thought wtf and wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to just infuse it to another jewelery set?
But thank goodness Karka shells drop a bit more.
Was wondering but did anyone tried to mystic forge and get passion flowers?

Well if u get bl kits 2day yeah that is a loss. Luckily I had like 6 stacks of them from bl chest sometime in sept/oct and 2 from b4 wintersday.
I salvaged with the bl kits today. Forget about the bl kit cost cuz I got them from chest a bit while ago. Anyway I salvaged about 32 rare items and came up with 46 ectos. So it is slightly under a 1.5 ecto return ratio.
I think there is a misconception about salvage rate success and ecto return rate. It is way over 50% rate for recovering ectos on bl kits. But the amount of ectos salvaged is different. Probably 50-60% of succeeded salvages return 1 ecto

That video was lvl 20. Of course it’s not that hard.
There are still quite a few ways to get ectos cheaper than in tp directly. It saved me a bit of gold.

If u get the kits via the black iron chest it is very good for salvaging ectos. Pretty sure lots got those bl chests keys b4 wintersday.
It is a lvl 375 recipe. Check lower in the column
U know I always wonder what if u had 2000 gems and u quit playing. Does that mean the gem just gonna sit there and rot? I wonder does this have an effect on gem prices lets say 20k ppl had 1000 gems each just sitting there because they quit.

Right after patch and mail came in, the prices shot up. And I meant literally right away like 4 seconds after.
I sold one for 74s. Minus all the tax and stuff it ended up 67s…
Reason is not only it is needed for jewelery but it is needed in the forge if u want infusion.
Considering how easy it is to get 20 slot bag, yeah bag business is really going down quick.
The only thing I wish to see for trading is the stupid fractal weapon we can’t use. (I know it is account bound). But really I have an ele, Mesmer, and engineer and it have the nerve to give me a hammer and a shield. Now I have to make a warrior…
Nowadays I only run with ppl that I know. Don’t really want to repeat every time on how to beat lupicus.
