Depends. I want lvl 38 and got 2 named exotics and around 5 rares.
One time I was in lvl 46 and had no rares. I ended up getting a vial of mist essence.
So rng is rng.

So I was an ele and I popped the arcane shield which block any attacks 3 times. But even as the ice spike from ice ele boss on underground dredge hit me while my shield is active I still managed to get hit on top of getting agony. Is this a bug?

Isn’t the foraging sickle from Bloodtide coast about the same as the Lauriel one except it only has 25 tries?
And besides I will rather take the ones from Lynn commendations. They all have 250 tries.

Heck let us mystic forge them. Just let us get rid of them instead of vendoring it.

It is more frustrating if u get to the jade maw and that drops.

You might be right, but the description says lodestones too. So how can lodestones be combined with that is my question to ur theory.
My guess is that it replaces lodestones. So for example u need 100 charged lodestone, then u will have to get a hundred of the mystic binding agent. Reason for my theory is that it is still really hard to get Lauriels too.
And it reminds me of the mystic forge stone. Same theory.

Just wanted to say that friends list needs to be divided into groups so we can sort out how we meet these friends,etc. with the current setup it is almost impossible to tell which friends did what except only through my memory which can be very poor.

So we got to the Asura boss in the end. I know they changed his agony lighting balls to a straight line but it made it much harder because
1. Agony hits much faster cuz distance in straight line is much shorter than in arc, therefore needing quicker reactions to dodge. Not sure can u see the red circle if u r tagged. Haven’t checked that.
2. The only way to keep Asura at bay is the run and kite around the pillar. Since there is no way to cc the Asura boss, that is the one of the ways u can do it if u don’t have enough reflect/nullify projectile class in ur party.
3. Why does mr mittens always keep trying to go for the 1st person that aggros the boss. We had to cc him when he is active so he won’t go and pull on the pillar kiting person.
4. Sometimes when kiting around the pillar boss resets in different circumstances (kiter dies, out of distance, etc). Need a fix for that.
5. Even if u beat it sometimes if Asura is too far out he resets, therefore having to redo the boss fightall over again. Have to make sure Asura comes back in vicinity in order for the cutscene and fractal to finish.

Is it possible to have a tp exclusively for a guild? This I imagine is for some stuff that is account bound such as fractal wraps that maybe ur guildmate needs. Or it can be something that I don’t need so I can put what I have and what I need on the tp so guild members can know exactly what they want and not want. Yes I can just ask my guildes outright but it sucks to call out and need need need all the time or ask like 20 ppl. That way I can tell what each guildie needs and wants instead of putting in guild chat and say who needs or wants.

The problem is too much gold is being injected through farming. Instead they should replace the 26 silver with an item or mats instead. That way no new gold is printed.

2-3 wks ago it was 43s per stack. Now it is over a gold per stack of t5 dust.

Does anybody know exactly what time on the 28th the patch will be implemented?
Also will There be new monthly achievement on 28th or will that still be feb 1?

It is probably available, but u would have to earn those Lauriels.
But so are ascended amulets so I really doubt ppl that want better gear would spend their Lauriels on dyes.

Personally I think jewelers should be able to upgrade infused rings/amulets or whatever trinkets easier than non-jewelers. But no this ascended stuff is totally making the jewelers almost completely worthless.

Really need it. Very annoying to open inventory and find the things I need to use

I am glad I do it with my guild. I really hate the gw2lfg on cof Path 1 when all they want are wars and mesmers and would kick the rest out.

Well I am an ele and I finished Simin and am on Fotm lvl 49 (planning to group w/ same group for 50 2morrow). Let’s just hope we don’t have to 4 man it again.
What I can say is that besides wars/guards/mesmers eles are quite useful for support.
They at least have constant healing support and aoe (especially frost bow). Also they can freeze/root/slow/interrupt enemies which I think many ppl underestimate.
So for instance frozen ground + meteor + shockwave + ice storm. So by the time the whole Zerg got to us they would lost something b/t 15-30% health.
I prefer staff over d/d in fotm b/c for one they have a slight better healing support (in terms of area and distance) and second they have reflect skill. I do use scepter/focus but I think in some fights it is better to have some range.
D/d fights are viable, but better in single target dps than in zergs (except for the interrupts which I think is awesome). but for instance in underground dredge fractal there will be like 15 dredge zerging u and it is wise not to be in the thick of battle.

Funny part is that I have a ranger friend and he hates his class.

Well besides the recipe they also drop various exotics. Got a ghost hide back item a while ago.

Well yeah completely understand. I did pug that with a light armor party and our beefiest guy was a ranger (ranger, thief, 2 Mesmer, and ele)
Died around 6 times, but the potential of a 6-8 gold on 2 path (taking 1.5-2hrs) is an incentive. Plus possibility jewelery recipes drops. And it was interesting and satisfying to beat it with such squishy party.
And well if u get cores u do need the skill points to transmute it so it was all in one place (unless u r just gonna sell it).

I tried to farm the lodestones and for me it kinda became endlessly boring and tedious. There is that only spot for charged lodestone and it seldomly is there on my server. Do have a big guild but everyone was in wvw but usually we do casual chat in dungeons too. But i just felt it is better doing in a group.

Laser puzzle is actually easy. Takes a Mesmer or a portal gun.

Got 2 cores and 1 lodestone in 2 runs today. Another person in my party got 2 cores and another one got an exotic weapon w/ a sigil worth around 7-8g market price.
Yeah so go do Coe if u r feeling lucky.

But I usually avg around 1 core per run

With the scavenger hunt I don’t expect the lodestone prices to drop.
But then again I see the scavenger hunt will take weeks or even months to complete for the precursor. I mean it is not probably something u can do in a day or two. Otherwise that will be ridiculously stupid on their part.
Why do I have the feeling that the scavenger hunt have something to do with finding 4 pieces to mystic forge into a precursor…..

Did it once. Had to solo the champ b4 zhaitan eye. Got greens.
Hope others have better luck than I do.

I think i managed to craft an unidentified gray dye. And ended up getting just a common dye.

So no i would not suggest to craft them.
And also coriander seeds are too expensive…or whatever it is called.

Nah bl lots on rares is ok. I will rather sell the exotics because it is at least guaranteed 4 ectos per sell.
That is of course there is a valuable rune.

Not gonna happen. Do agree w/ the skins that can be acquired (maybe lots of pristine relics), but otherwise might make skins not as valuable/worthy.
And also gw2 wants u to continue playing this game through the rng system.

On the other hand I think better loot and more gold is needed on 40+?
And they need to do something w/ rings. Make them salvageable or something.
And make sure infused rings won’t be on daily chest on 40+. What is the point of rings for 40+?

I threw in dyes to forge managed to get abyss dye on the 4th try.
Rng is rng.

Really I went 68% as an ele. So class specific is useless if u can’t kite.

I pugged till lvl 42.
Albeit that there are some very bad groups through pug sometimes, most of the time they r competent.
After some time I played w/some of the same ppl that also pugged and it became apparent to me who is the real deal and who’s not great as we lvl progress.

Did u finished ur story mode?
Other than that and b/t the rata sum one, that is all I can think of.

U do know u can hover the mouse on the map’s name and check each map’s progress instead of visiting each map.

Personally fractals 40+ is not all skills related.
I only try to rng and farm 40+ nowadays. Thing is when we group for progression most ppl will just rng till they get swamp or underwater and that should not be the way Fotm is supposed to play out.
There should be some reason to go beyond lvl 40. But now there is very little.

Personally ectos can be easily acquired. The point is ecto supply can be drying up which can cause prices to go up slightly. But I don’t predict ectos will go shot up like the other mats due to the fact that there are multiple ways of acquiring it.

Bl kits, booster package, and some outfit.

Nah 4g isn’t really woth it. Only would use it if ir contanins a highly valued sigil/rune. Way better if u stocked up b4 Halloween

U take time to get ur dungeon tokens, so I doubt u will get banned.
The snowflake jewelery incident was that there were potential to double, triple, or 10x ur profits to ectos in like 30 min or less (depending on when u get ur snowflakes.)
Even more profits if u have ur own snowflakes and got like a ton of bl kits b4 halloween event (at that time and b4 gems were dirt cheap so buying bl kits or dropping from bl chests were easy).

I just sell my exotics. 2g = 8 ectos.
Unless the rune/sigil is worth a significant amount then I mighty salgae it.

Yeah buT not all. Example they took the mad king chest out.

Approx only 15g. But with all the mats and weapons I have it can range from 100-300g

Wow…hope that isn’t like a massive ban like the snowflake jewelery.
But guessing if u r using ur xp to trade in for gold I think that is legit.
Of course depending how much u value ur xp/gold ratio.

First of all ele can give a boon w/the right traits and constantly changing attunements. I can constantly give 6-7 stacks of might depending on circumstances.
Second w/the fiery gs u and one more person can use it. So u and someone can use it while Mesmer can time warp all of u. The gs has one of the best dps I have seen (not great, but significantly higher).
Double the DMG there.

Nah. I usually will just tp it. Overall u will get more money to buy ectos.
Unless the sigil or rune is worth something significant I wouldn’t salvage it.

So I would like to thank the dude for talking about the energizer. I got it to drop from a week or two ago and thought about just holding it till price goes higher (was on 25g buy) or I can use it.

Cuz they changed the recipe of jewelery after ppl exploited them. But gw2spidy has not corrected that. Maybe they r on a break.

If the rest of the group can’t even do the other 30% or 40, then it is quite an useless team.

Well currently ppl are selling arah path 4 slots and kinda cheapens the dm title. There is something in under the dungeons tab in this forum that saids that.
So the dungeon achievement might not be a good idea.

Yes i go the ghost eater hide drop once from the final boss.
But it is account bound.
And there was not a unique look for it unfortuantely.

Well sylvari might have an easier time cuz if they are downed and agony still hits they can mist and avoid the agony.
But the if they get the skull…well…

I tried finding lvl 38 frats for 2 days, and we can’t form a full group.
But guessing it was not prime time when I lfm itso that could be the reason.
