Siege weapons shouldn’t be ballanced around jumping puzzles (imo).
Account bound would be much preferred.

We didn’t get any new players or any new guilds (Well, I am sure there have been a few but we havn’t got any new GIANT guilds if you know what I mean), everyone here has been here since launch. Do you mean that you guys have been losing players?
Yeah, I just took a look at the picture and have to say I am not really surprised at the tags I see. Not a new guild to our server. I hope its just a bunch of bored randoms and that their commander isn’t actually with them.
Anyways, just know not everyone from our server acts like that. I can only speak for my guild but we play WvW for “good fights” and that definitely does not look like one.
At the end of the day though we are playing to win, just like you. I think most people are a little tired of being in Anvils 2nd place shadow which probably explains why you are being camped if it was an actual organized event.

That was very unprofessional to say the least.
Random unorganized pug zergs setup spawn camping seige equip. Nothing anyone can do about it besides yourself. Pugs don’t read map chat and you can hardly hold us responsible for their actions. Since our actual organized guilds are not right outside your spawn ever we don’t see it to even say anything about it. We are too busy doing real PvP.
Its not like one of the guilds in our alliances is doing it.
FYI: I have never seen BPA members participate in spawn camping and Krew and HoM both actively avoid it.

Because the Charr have so many issues with clipping and terrible armor Arenanet threw us a bone and made our cultural weapons easier to obtain with a little effort.
Ok, I have to say Jeremy Soule’s music is pure excellence. His stuff always is. But please, get rid of, or change the frequency, or the quality, of the audio in this game so I don’t have to turn it off in utter disgust.

I am going to ask an honest question here, any chance we can get these two NPC’s removed from Lions arch or involved in some kind of tragic Halloween accident where their vocal chords are destroyed?
I don’t like to whine on the forums, but this is seriously hurting my enjoyment of the game and I often disable my audio completely in Lions Arch because of it.
I would request that you give us a new volume slider that allows us to disable voiceovers/NPC banter/I could outrun a centaur.
If you wan’t to drive your customers insane you are doing a good job.

TBH its really hard to tell who outnumbers who when you can’t frakking see 1% of who you are fighting.
Some fun fights tonight in Borlis Borderlands, a group of SOUL and a couple guys from my guild managed to take dreaming bay from you guys while both of our zergs fought eachother between the garrison and bay. It was rather hilarious case of zerg tunnel vision. Our zerg was completely ignoring map chat that we had taken down the north gate, go figure :P

I think there need to be more than a few changes to the commander system. When you mouse over a commander it should show both their account name and char name.
Make it account wide.
Some people like me are getting commander so his allies can see where he is on the map as well as people not in squad. It really sucks that we don’t have this basic functionality without spending 100g for each char.
You are better off assuming all Necro traits/skills are bugged/not working unless you can PROVE 100% that they are working.
This is how I make my builds. As jaded as that sounds, its just something you have to live with as a necro.
When I played my necro I mainly played a tanky CC/Support type role that was capable of putting out a decent (but not competitive with other classes) amount of heals as well.
I mainly play my engineer because it feels like it makes a much bigger difference in general when running with my guild.
Leave it to the goons to break terrible game design.
Good work goons! You are doing everyone who plays this game a favor.

Its fine. You can’t see names or use /say. You can message them but I am sure that is not working as intended. I find most of the time it feels like its done with good sportsmanship and “tough love” in mind. Anyways thats how it feels to me most of the time, I don’t get any negativity out of it.
If they take away emotes you will lose alot of the funny moments of offense/defense stalemates where people start dancing for the lulz.
I find it humorous when my enemies do this to me and I occasionally do it as well. If you don’t like it, just respawn.
The other 1/3 isn’t buying chests after this I can tell you that.

Its really sad how bad the traits are in that line. I am actually considering dropping 10 points out of blood magic and putting it in curses (But chilling darkness is bugged still sidefrown) I could put it in Soul Reaping too for the additional life force gain and vulnerability on death blast. Ten more in Spite could work too to give marks +10% damage. I tried wells siphoning HP and I found it to be lackluster.
It just seems like all the options I have are lackluster and have little synergy.
I can tell you after opening about 50 chests yesterday and only getting 2 items I won’t be spending any more money on chests ever again.
I like some other things from the store (Buying gold, bag/bank slots, karma boosters). However I don’t feel the black lions chest are a good value.
I simply will vote with my wallet and not buy any chests for future events.
Stop making these threads, its been discussed to death why this is a terrible idea.

If you can’t see why this is a gigantic nerf you probobly should just roll a warrior/thief right now and mindlessly mash buttons. You chose a class that took some skill to play properly, time to man up and learn how to use grenades effectively. Here is a hint: the fact that thare are 100% GTAoE combined with their massive damage/CC ability makes them one of the best weapons in the game in the right hands.

kKagari, its not so much the heals as everything else that goes along with it. IMO one dimensional heal builds are far from optimal. Good support builds do many things well.
You offer alot to a group that other classes speced for support can’t. AoE blinds are a big one (Plague Form, Well of Blinding). You have plenty of other CC to go around as well.
You can still do decent DPS if you spec correctly in addition to all of your healing/support/CC abilities.

Yep, most of the people wanting easy mode victories (PUGs and so called “PvP” guilds) left already and even the pugs we have left are slowly learning to be more useful. I am actually quite happy where we are going as a server even though we can’t consistently keep a force in every borderlands.
My guild has similar sized groups and we mainly focus on high mobility guerilla warefare type blob diversion / supply disruption / defending important objectives while our blob is busy attacking other things.
I hope we run into you guys, sound like it would be a good fight!
How long is a long time?
Right now my tooltip shows 4 1/2s with +30% from traits and +20% from food.
I would be curious to see how long it is with your rune setup + consumable.
Very good point Savoth. Superior Rune of the Water looks very nice for increasing the duration of protection (which is already at +50% if you use Onmomberry Creams).
How much does the heal proc off of it for you because that would really be the deciding factor in whether I switch to it or not.
Melee on SOME bosses is suicide, but with my build you are so ridiculously tanky I rarely find it to be too problematic. I do sometimes switch to my Axe however depending on the fight. I just find Dagger better the vast majority of the time with my build but I won’t totally discredit people that run Axe most of the time with their build since they may have no focus on doing much damage at all.
And yes, Sigil of Life is amazing even in WvW with a build like this. You are so tanky with these types of builds that you shouldn’t be going downed often, allowing you to get a massive bonus to healing. Even in dungeons I keep +25 stacks up most of the time.
At around 1200 healing power:
Regeneration ticks for about 289.
Well of Blood ticks every second for around 670.
Leaving death shroud heals for about 700.
Also you should have supperior sigils of water which proc for about what regeneration does.
Will Charr ever have more then a few sets of armor that don’t blatently clip?
Even the NPC charr look terrible.
Vigil and Duelist sets are both great.
I do like some of the trench coat looking sets as well, but not too many of them.
You don’t need the Regeneration Duration increase from Rune of Dwayna, nor the additional Regeneration procs, as the uptime is already 100% between Mark of Evasion and Mark of Blood from Staff.
The reason for using Dwayna rune is more WvW centric, whenever I hit heal I spit out an 1000HPS+ AoE heal around me including regeneration. Sometimes you can’t proc your regeneration mark off of anything and there is nothing for focus #4 to bounce off on.
The duration is not necessarily but it is helpful in certain situations.
Also the build I linked is outdated, I use the heal on exit from death shroud instead of heal on life transfer.

I run a similar build 10/0/30/30/0 with Dwayna runes and Staff Dagger/Focus.
Stop running the Axe, the DPS is bad and you can get better vulnerability from your focus and using one of your wells. Dagger has far superior damage potential (at least twice if not more then Axe) and it gains you life force while DPSing. You will be tanky as well if you spec into boon duration and healing so you should be able to afford the melee range just fine.
I highly recomend using the stacks of might on life blast as well as blood is power (swapping out one of your wells for it is your call depending on your group comp) to take maximum advantage of your boon duration and actually put out decent DPS. Built correctly your DPS won’t be bad and your support capabilities are nothing short of amazing.
When things start to get rough pop Well of Blindness or Plague Form and proceed to blind your foes.

Most of my time in WvW is spent with a group of < 5 people.
You must be doing something terribly wrong. I don’t mean this to reflect negative on you, but I would evaluate what you are doing to die so much and correct it before you ask for armor repair changes. You are not supposed to die that often and the armor repair cost is there to make sure that mindlessly zerging does not go unpunished.
You clearly don’t understand how fighting zergs work. You don’t run in like a headless chicken like you said you wanted to, you use guerilla warfare tactics to stay one step ahead of them.

The repair cost is the one barrier to stop people from just mindlessly zerging things to death.
If it wasn’t there you could just throw bodies at doors nonstop until you took it with no costs.
Since you don’t have to walk very far from respawn there needs to be some kind of death penalty, the armor damage suffices perfectly.
I usually make 20x the gold that I spend on repair costs in WvW and that is a conservative estimate.
If you don’t like your server just transfer like all the rest of them or stay and do something about it.
Pretty much all but the top servers are what you describe Emery bay to be now.
This is the one mechanic that actually makes mindlessly zerging put the zerg at a disadvantage.
Leave it as is, you already have enough handicaps.
There are no GMs in GW2, with that said I agree with the rest of your post.
Ehmry bay is doing pretty good but looks like we still have that same problem of not having enough people to do night/early morning capping.

If Borlis ever gets into a bracket dominated by night capping I am transferring down to a lower one again :P. If I wanted to play a 24/7 game I would go back to EVE which has proper mechanics in place for this kind of thing (unlike GW2). One of the benefits of the lower brackets is that night capping is kept to a minimum. I don’t mean that as something that would reflect negative on you, Its just this game doesn’t have any mechanics in place that make night capping have any kind of additional strategy around it besides just zerging doors.

If anything we need to be given the option to hide certain commanders we don’t care to see personally (and have guild settings for this as well.).
We are fighting as hard as we can, it just seems like for every one of us there is five of you :P. We have a limited number of WvW guilds and even if we all played 24/7 we wouldn’t be able to have effective coverage in more then a few maps.
Thats fine with me I love fighting outnumbered but it must be as boring for you guys as when we get knocked down a tier.

Gremlin, yes morale seems to be a big issue among our players.
In Lions Arch I constantly have to remind people that pretty much all servers but the #1 lose more than 50% of the time. The number one guys have five hour queues as of course you know. People just complain and complain about being outnumbered / not having orbs / losing. I try my best everyday to instill courage in them as well as reminding them there is no such thing as an easy victory and I hope you guys do too.
I have seen what BPA can do when we get organized even when the out manned buff is up like last night when we held Anvils Orb for hours. BPA fights regardless of the odds or the score or how many orbs the enemy has.

Waraxx, my solution isn’t so much about the gold/gem exchange as it is I feel things in the gem store are way to expensive for the money I am spending.
I shouldn’t really have speculated on the effects of the gold/gem exchange this would cause since that is not my main concern I am trying to convey with this post.
The fact that they are 100% ground targeted on land makes them extremely powerful in the right hands and situations. If they spread in an Arc they would lose almost everything that made them good in the first place (ability to concentrate a large amount of damage in a specific area).
Leave them as they are, they don’t need any adjusting.
I’m no economics by no mean , but would’t lowering prices at tp just equal to lowering prices for gems (IRL money —-> gems ) and therefore devaluing gems. Witch would lead to making gems less expensive because one doesn’t need as much gems to buy the item they plan on buying? or am i wrong?
And yes the value of gems are quite crappy right now, but that’s because the demand of golf is quite high right now, you know people want to get there swings maxed out. But then when people start to feel that they are finished with there gear they will start spending the coins on gems and ther fore making the gem price go up and making it more valuable.
Also, IF they would like to increase the value of gems in compared to gold they would need to increase the taxes when people buy gems. ie:
before the value increase:
gold —-> gems
give 1,176g to recive 100gems // 15% tax (efficient trade is 1g to 100gems)gems —--> gold
give 100gems to recive 0.85g // 15% tax ( efficient trade is 100gems to 1 gold)after value increase:
gold —-> gems
give 1,25g to recive 100gems // 20% tax (efficient trade is 1g to 100gems )gems —--> gold
give 100gems to recive 0,9g // 10% tax ( efficient trade is 1g to 111gems)yes the overall tax is changed but I’m sure that can be fixed with better numbers. that’s the only thing they can do to make gems more valuable. however, I’m 99.999999% sure that they know this and that they will tweek the number if they feel its needed. u don’t need to come to the forum and suggest flawed suggestions. I’m not saying that mine will do the trick but I’m quite sure yours won’t.
The players don’t set the price of gems directly. What you are describing assumes that gems would be exchanged in a free market system and this is not the case. Even after exchange for gems to gold would equalize and become lower over time (This is an assumption because we don’t completely understand the mechanics behind their exchange) it would still be more realistic to buy things from the cash shop with real money, which I am sure Arenanet wants instead of the current situation where everyone just buys gems with gold.
Before you call my suggestion flawed make sure you understand more than 1/4 of it.
The title says money has weak buying power, that is the point and its not flawed in the least.
