They did. I answered such a question many times in this sub-forum and I got an official response from a dev through a PM.

That sounds like a great system. Every player come to the forums and individually ask and hope that a dev sends you a PM. Wonderful idea!

I looked around a lot also the last few days to see if this was definitely going away on 4/15 and I couldn’t find one solid answer. I decided to be safe and spend my glory yesterday morning pre-patch. Glad I did, but really some better communication and a drop-dead date would’ve been nice. They dropped it to make room on the account wallet for their fancy transmutation charges

To me this really says they want to try and protect all the new PvE people who are coming to PvP with low ranks. What happens to the low(er) AP PvP people who venture out into PvE now (since they’re sort of forced to now) and get judged on their APs?

Well then they should removed the ability to see other people’s APs you’re grouped with in PVE. I liked seeing what rank people were at the end of a match. People use APs to judge in PVE so why not use ranks to judge in PVP?

I could me mistaken, but I thought I got 40 charges because I was rank 40 the first time I logged in?

I guess I got lucky with the MF. I crafted about 100 level 80 rare staves and started dropping them into the forge. On the 9th attempt (36 staves in) I got The Legend. I’ve had some incredible luck in the game so I’m not sure who to thank for that. Just sharing my story. From what others have said it sounds like it’s much safer to just buy directly from the TP.

Yes please! This is so annoying. Especially when you just do your daily activity and expect to be back on the ship, but no you’re kicked down to the ground after you get out. Not very nice!

I was looking through old posts to see if this had been brought up before. This is my biggest issue with the airship pass! Why can’t it put you back in the ship after doing an activity, pvp, or even logging out? I bought a permanent pass as a convenience item, but it is very inconvenient that I am kicked off the ship all the time. Especially since it seems to take a good 10-15 seconds to load down below.

Wow I can’t believe that glory boosters are still being awarded when they are about to be obsolete. That makes a lot of sense!

Maybe if enough people comment on this we can get a response? I have yet to ever see one reply regarding this TP issue and it is really frustrating! I don’t want to see medium and heavy armor when I’m shopping on my mesmer!

I agree with most on here. This map is the worst of the pvp maps and I cringe when I get it. I only play mesmer in pvp, so I’m sort of useless as an orb carrier. I agree about the transform, that’s a MUCH better idea and puts all orb carriers on the same playing field.

They should sell a permanent skeleton key that can be used an infinite amount of times for 5 million gems

Bumping this because this seriously needs to be added. Not only am I often wasting extra space in my bags by not having a second weapon set, but it’s just plain annoying to have to dig around and swap weapons. Every single ele I know switches between a staff and some 2 weapon set on a regular basis.. there’s just no reason why this shouldn’t be built in to save time and inventory space. I agree 100% that in-combat weapon swapping should never be allowed.

Also, thanks to laharl for getting a group together a few days ago and running me through Arah P2 and P3. I still need to learn Lupi and how to not die when running, but overall it was a great learning experience!

Congrats! I’ve also had a lucky run with the mystic forge. I was saving my precursor for last because I just didn’t want to deal with it (LoL). But yesterday I had this nagging feeling to use the forge so I spent around 20 gold and bought 50 rare staves from the TP. Believe it or not, on the 9th try I got The Legend. I almost died! I’m sure I’ve used up whatever good luck I had saved and will never again feel love from the RNG

Gift of exploration is one of the best parts of a Legendary. It proves you literally have been there and done that. I had six before crafting two and a half legendaries. They need to fix the precursor part, that is all. The legendaries that depend on Arah are also a bit unfair, but that is less important than the precursor issue.

Working on my first legendary currently, and you mentioned something that I totally agree with. As I’m crafting The Bifrost, I came to realize how it’s a bit unfair that I have to run Arah a number of times while other legendaries have much easier dungeon requirements. As someone who is not a dungeon expert, this has really been difficult for me (and I refuse to pay someone who is at the final boss, because that just feels like cheating)

Buttercup, were you told when you bought your old tool that nothing better would ever come out? Or did you just assume? You know what they say about assuming!

When people bought the original tools, did the note say that they would never release a better version? If so, then you should definitely be upset. But I’m guessing they didn’t. The store is looking for new ways to entice people to buy things, and I think this was a clever and subtle upgrade. Your old tools still do exactly what they always said they would when you bought them.

As an owner of the older versions of the infinite tools, I have to actually disagree with most people here. We bought an item and knew exactly what it was and what it did. So what, the store released something for the same price that does a little something extra. Does this make the item we bought now useless? No. This game is already pay to win if you really want, buy tons of gems, convert to gold, then get what you want. I mean, is the store never allowed to release something that is better than something they previously released? That’s just silly. If it bothers you that much, buy the new one. I really don’t see the issue here.

I’ve had mixed results and I’m still on the fence about them. Last night however I got my best item so far. I randomly got a key from a normal mob in Iron Marches and decided to use it right away. To my surprise I got an endless mystery tonic (the furniture one). These sell for like 400 gold on the TP. But I have the worst luck with scraps, so far I’ve only gotten about 3 from 25 or so chests.

Hi all, first post! I always read but don’t post. Anyways, my question is regarding when the gem store is updated with new items. Is there any rhyme or reason to when new items are added? I’ve only been playing for a few months and I really wanted the unlimited crafting tools.. I had no idea they were for sale for one day only during the New Year’s Weekend sale and sadly missed out. I now check the store everyday but was just wondering if there is some regular schedule as to when it’s updated. Thanks in advance!

I can’t believe this still hasn’t been fixed. It seems like it must be something very small…

I see that this hasn’t been discussed in a few months.. just wanted to say as a newer player I find that being unable to sort by armor type seems just silly. This would be a very useful filter!!
