From reading about the bans and such lately, it seem that they ban the exploiter of the past for doing it to often. once or twice was ok, cause you might not been knowing it, or catching it, but doing it, over and over that you have to known it, that where you get in trouble.

While i not seen this golem bug, is it easy to tell your effected by it, like are there signs?

I find leveling to be fast and no concern, on top of that, leveling rewards you gear, but most time, i get gear from the mobs anyway. They areas never feel to strong or weak, and they even give you a idea how strong an area is too, so you never going somewhere blind. Just playing the game normally, i got to 80 so quickly, it was not really a problem. most gear is cheat, and the only gear that you really want to keep permenaite will be the best stuff that you only get at max level anyways, so your free to swap as often as you like before that too.

You have spent the bulk of the weekend, posting the same thing multiple times in often the same thread, and all threads having to do with the event, I simply wondered if you were being paid to do so. If you like the event so much, I’m puzzled as to why you’re here most hours defending it, instead of actually playing.

What else am i going to do during work, … work?, lol. When I get bored I read the forums, also, to be fair, if everyone would have posted smart, and not make multiple, it be easier to talk about it, and as you said, i enjoyed it, i will defend fun things and dislike bad things, lol.

Who knows, you still have the same style in the normal borderland as eotm, the differnce is you defend points longer sure. I, really don’t see the hate bside you can’t defend as easily this week, but that just me, i know as many people keep saying, i don’t play wvw enough it seem, so i could be wrong

The thng I been enjoying about it, at least on the server i am on I guess, is the extra battles. I moved up like 3 ranks in a hour, and I look forward to Friday and my new ranks will bring me. I think i gone up about 10 ranks so far during the event time, which been faster then normal. It might not be a fav event of all, but I found it to be worth while.

Who knows, as we do not work there to know, lol. For now, I will just continue to play, and beating player in their golem, till the event is over, and use all my new rank points I earn, to be a better player Friday.

there is a thread for the golem event already though, you even mention it, lol.
Plus the post also mention about anet lack of wvw stuff, when there are working on new map and new updates. Some I know was liked, like not costing money for upgrading, and other, some dislike, which is auto update. Other dislike the auto wp for some, though I think there a mis understanding there. Or how sentry will actually be doing their job to shut down yaks, at least really slowing them down, and how player escorting yak will speed them up

Are you primarily a PvE player?

i am a gw2 player, does not matter, as i can have an opinion on any of the modes I have played. I put time in wvw, I am not sure i see as many issues as other, but that where I am different, I know. I have enjoyed the event as It the first time I tried the golem. I even defended a tower from a team, as they only had two golem and a few other player, it was quite a bit of fun, and we were close to losing, when they did get in. Golem seem to have weakness which are good, mostly, they hate drops,, lol so they always are taking the long way, and it allowed me to snipe at them, and I push one off an edge before.

I find having a partner helps a lot. My friend and I, we play a lot, and we do different things. We recently started to try to earn some of the achievements and such. We level a main to level 80, had fun exploring the world. I even got her out of her, always likeing rangers and got her to try a new class. Playing alone can be hard, and that might add to the boredom, but having at least someone you play witha lot, makes it more fun, that how i continue to play.

I am using the event time to get my wvw charcter stronger. The more fighting, and the 15% bonus exp I gain like 10 levels so far. Yes, i know it still a long way, but that 10 extra points + more i will have when the event is done with.

So take the time to explain it to them then. they check out the event, they may stay after it over, if not, then nothing really change, but if it makes one new person interest in it, then hey, you get a new ally to fight with, or a new player to attack, lol.

Hmmm, maybe they are trying to get new players into Wvw by having the event. It might not be the best event but it a start. Maybe the next event will be better received. I guess I just try to look at the postive side of things, and not dwell on the bad. Not saying i am right, just saying, it not stop me having fun in the borders.

Yeah, i am slowly working my way to that. Mostly some day i can see having 11 slots. 9 charters, a bank one, and my special one. I guess it time of day vs time to play that makes it hard to get them all up there. Plus the cost to make them all good will be my hardest challenge, lol.

nice, I only seem to have 500k, as it gain slowly, and I spend a lot of it, but i am still new, less then a year old, so I am sure you have more experience in the game. I guess it the different servers we play on, as the pace sem steady when i in the borders.

So, you rather just do it the way it been, and the way you been doing it. I can understand that. I just can’t understand how a one week event marks the end of WvW. Why not get your buddy , and make the most of the week. I mean you can earn extra world points during the week and the magic find bonus. I guess unless your max rank, you earning some extra levels for when it returns to normal?

Can I ask why you need 64 slots? at most I seem to do well with my 3 main, 1 bank, and 1, i sorta do for fun, on things, and by then, i am mostly out of time for the day.

Don’t you earn karma during the normal wvw stuff too, so that karma train as well? I am confuse how your not earning karma during the normal wvw time, as I seem to do decently when i attack or defend my points.

I am not pretending to be blind, and if people would stop making new posts on the same thing, I could post properly my self. Just because my opinion differ from yours does not make me any more or less right or wrong then you. I am struggling to see why this is a bad thing, and I am not getting any answers really. Golem event for a week, seems like it fun, so i can’t defend for the week, i will attack for the week. We are all gamers we adapt to change, and it a game so make the most out of it to have fun. No reason to take a game seriously, lol.

“It boring cause it sucks” so you can’t do something you do normally , so one week, or now 6 days, is hurting you so badly? I am just confused, that all, trying to understand.

I am trying to follow the reasons of the hate, but I not seen any problem personally so I am afraid I really not understanding the issues. Could you point me to the topic where these problem are being discussed?

I agree, a little shake up wont hurt, it was kinda fun when I played a little tonight, it had active people more so then normal, so I guess people are enjoying it, at least for the servers i play on it seem.

It’s clear you’re just a casual player and this appeals to you. But for those of us that go in there week in and week out and play the mode this is the worst possible change. That was the point.

Glad you missed it, but the vast majority of these forums is filled with hatred because we do not like golems, we do not like the idea of nothing but golem zergs and we actually like using our characters for combat purposes.

so how many hour a week do i need to spend in wvw to be listen to? I mean, I have to work, and eat and sleep, I play pvp sometimes and PvE with my gameing partner. We do wvw sometimes, daily as one reason, but also fun defending a tower in enemy area too. We join the comanders on their raids, and tongiht we battle the golems and win some, lost a lot, but it was still fun. Sunday when it is my day off I will be in WvW a lot to enjoy this event. Shake up like this is fun, like holiday events that gw1 got a lot.

Yeah and it took 5 seconds for ANY engineer to realize that grenade barrage (one of the traits/skill that was broken) was completely bonkers. You could one-shot any npc aside from lords.
WHICH means that they didn’t even TEST the thing. And therefore we are kittened because WE are the ones that have to suffer for a flawed development process.

Do you see the difference? They can screw up, ofc it happens. But they can’t repeatedly screw up and ignore players giving feedback. THAT is intolerable.

I see them accepting and changing all the time, but players do not like change as well. I come from playing games for a long time, and new things player dislike, old things people hate, and in the middle, seems the company can never win really. Me, i tend to just roll with it, adapt, and better my self. I wont let tiny things like a week long event ruin my fun, or a trait disable so they can fix it, without it being exploited to much. A game is a game, it suposed to just be played in fun, if I took it serious, then maybe I need to find a new game, lol.

I would not mind that. There a few items I like using for multi characters, or just make it easier to transfer. Not sure why people buy extra items as it not to bad now, to move them. but simpler would be a lot nicer.

I seen the trading post lag like this. After a hour or so, i belive either I can see the order or i got the money back, I forget which, but I think this is a problem for a support ticket if you do not see your order or money back soon, as I am sure, they can do thier best to help.

How about just doing it, and playing it differently for the week? Try some new stragity, or just mix it up a little?

Well Sunday is my day off, so I am excited to really getting down to playing it then, and I am sure other people have day off during the week. I remember people getting upset over other things that only last a day, like lion arch deals, or other things, so at least for a week, most people get thier chance.

I just got off playing with my partner on the normal map, we had a fun time, till we got slaughter, taking the bay, I swear they came out of no where. Funny thing was, they tries to take our garsion, and we ended up slaughtering them back. It a shame i do feel tired from working, or I would have played more, but on the bright side, there was a bunch on for my late night.

But if they end it that soon, what about the people who can’t play on the weekend. it only for a week, i am not sure it wont kill yea for that long.

it a week long event, so, afrai it just how it going to be a little bit. Sometimes it sucks, but losing is part of the game, and as someone who loses a lot, it not to bad, lol.

I don’t want them left out of the normal wvw maps, as eotm maps can sometimes not be fun, though hopefully the next event might be better received .

Trust me, I don’t mind what people call me. Words don’t hurt, unless your being hit by a book, lol. I know not everyone like this event, but also, who like all of them. I just try to find the fun, and it only a week, then it back to the defense routine, heh.

So why did you make a new topic instead of posting it in one already made? Why is it boring. Is it cause you have to play differently?

Um, i play a lot of wvw, i know i am not a high level, but i only been a few month old, i am up to level 135, and i play wvw at least 2 hrs a day, as I try to play everything. I not doing anything differnt then normal in wvwm, just things are kinda moving a little faster, and I seem to die a lot more, but it a game, it fun, it not, oh no, i am a gamer, i will adept, and when the week up, it will be miss but I’ll contiune to play WVW.

I took out a golem and it player, though it might been damage before i got to it, but it was fun. I can’t see why it so bad, most time things are getting flip[ anyways, just now they are happening a little faster, and i can’t wait for my day off Sunday to really enjoy the event.

don’t you already do that normally, at least now, were doing it in suits, and able to take one a few players at once before the suit gets over welm. I have to go to work, so only got to play for a hourish, but i had fun, even destoryed a suit. I can’t wait, maybe even when i get home, it might be more active due to it.

Here what I do not get. You do the same thing, day in and day out, everyday, for months on end. So anet decide, lets shake it up, have a event, and i see complaints. No construction on, how is bad, just saying, it bad and it sucks. But why, were you so set in your ways they this is a big change? Why not go out there and have fun. What stoping you from playing as normal? I am just confused by this? On top of this, I notice more players in wvw, take the time to introduce your self to the new WVW, they came for the fun, they may stay after it gone?

I don’t get it, you think it fair to not do it for the week? I mean what if there are players who can’t do this event on the weekend, they are only on Tuesday, they should have the right.
A week for a fun event is more then fair to give most play a fair shot.

It funny people say it farther apart of everything where I feel everything is nice and close to the wp in lionarch. It my fav place to keep my bank character. She got easy access to the trading post and the the bank, and close to a merchant, the crafting tables and it a quick hop to the guildbank, and best of all, forge and a speed booster who all you have to do is click, and technically not talk to.
Forge even better with that since everything shared with the forge points for buying.
