I would then go take a different structure. there are 4 wvw map atm, maybe 5 when we get that new map, and so there are plenty of tagets to choose from, and plenty to do. I would take the camps then, or the sentry too, since they help slow down the yaks also, and we can get a counter set with the catapaults, or something, they do get good distance. Stared of thier supplies they can’t resistance long, and on top of that, more play may show up. Losing is not having fun, at least for me, but not trying, that not fun, lol. We still don’t know how this new system will be, it will require forgetting some old rules most likely, learning new ones, but that not going to change the fun of taking the places away from the other 2 armies. I can’t pretend to fully understand this, heck i don’t fully understand the old system, but i will continue to learn.
Server who is not able to organise his team, and support his scout should have penality. On good server scout are supported, with gold, siege, etc. Then they find people to do the job and this give tactical advantage.
If on some server people don’t want to help scout then they don’t have scout, and this allow ennemy to take the structure easly.It’s not because some people don’t want to do the job and only want to blob that anet should destroy this aspect of the game ! (defending / upgrading).
On my server scouting is fine. Scout didn’t pay for upgrade, didn’t pay for siege and have help to escort doly. This give us a big advantage against other team who don’t care about their keep. Because we hold our T3 some time 3 or 4 days long ! Just because there are people to do the job.
Now even if server as no organisation, then the keep will be T3 without any human intervention….
Anet should reward cooperative job and tactical organisation, not only blobs…..
how long will it take without human intervention though. keeping the yak away and one of two other colors can take the building them self. this might force a new way of playing, but new does not mean bad, it means you adapt, you fight back, and you keep going, and above all else, have fun.
protecting the yaks are still very important, cause you need them to help upgrade your building faster or they get taken quicker. The updates are all looking good, and so far the few cons i see being posted seem like they are not that big and we might even get more players into wvw, which is the fun, running around, taking things, fighting, it all about the fun.
man that is a way long time of wvw, so is not, a little good at lowering that number a little, to help entice new placers into wvw fun, making them not feel that moution is so high they never will get there? it all about the fun of a game anyways.

well that just for the two abilty our of all of them, i for one focus on other things too.
out of curisoy, how many level does it take to hit max abilty, since i just recently hit 110 and that was a lot of effort it seem.
I was rereading and not sure where that info came from, the only time frame I see, is 20-40minutes before any upgrade will begin and or tier 1, what ever that means, I am not 100% sure, lol.
exactly, it the not having all the facts that are scaring some people, my self, i am indifference to it, but mostly cause I am a medium level WvW player, lol.
Myself, I adapt. Yea i may be a little upset, but i am failing to see how removing it changes it, you can still play the same way, more so, not having it for anyone means still equal ground it seems.
I think what would help is giving us a better time frame for this. It says it runs very slowly to upgrade and yaks help bring this time to normal, so what does that effect mostly.

It would have been fine if the guard stacks were never introduced in the first place but we’ve had it for so long now that I (and I’m sure many others) have geared our characters based on those stacks.
Don’t make me have to spend thousands of gold having to re-gear all my characters. Ascended gear is ridiculously expensive and I don’t want to have to do it again. It doesn’t even take long to get 230 points.
not having the stacks is not going to change anything though, since your not the only one losing it, right?
Don’t you still get massive bonus for being a veteran of wvw anyways, a couple extra stacks of stats can’t be that big of a difference maker, and in fact, you can refocus your rank points to other things too.
You need to get the yak going and keep the line clear, get supplies in the fort, or it will take forever to upgrade and in that time, you can be recaptured, so i am not really seeing the problem.
So since no one will have stacks, don’t this just keep everything even anyways, I guess the only winners are though players who are not level 500+ in wvw, right?
Just cause some people find it bad, does not make an idea bad, and we wont always get what we want, but I say have fun with the system, lol.
Someone was saying that they read it supposed to be applied to the high level wvw rank, which means you wont need to spend all your points just to earn it now, and you can focus on other things to use them on too.
I still say, once it comes out and we can see it in action better, some of you may like it, heck, I might dislike it once I see it, but so far a lot of these updates to wvw, is making me more interested in doing wvw again.
Since we do not have all the info yet, we can’t say for sure how bad or good this is.
There has to be some positives out of a lot of this you guys are disliking. It seems like these changes can’t all be bad, and your focusing on one or two negatives over the other things. A few of these negatives just seem to be, it a change, i don’t like it, but why, as it giving you guys more points back it seem, to put into something else, I guess if they do return when they reduce the stuff.
Don’t you need yak though to get supplies into the base. without them, turtling wont help if you have no supplies for repair or building defenses?
I know it hard for me t see cons in this, mostly being the middle wvw player, or maybe less, seeing the amount of levels needed to earn any real benifits, but this still feels like a good step forward. I don’t know, I see pro then cons here, and who to say whatever will change later too. Sometimes I feel you just need to go with it, then against it, adapt a little and remember, anything you might lose is effected to every player too. So you lose a little vitality, so does the heavy armor classes out there, and any so on and so on.
a lot of these changes seem to be great, and going in the right drection to make wvw more fun for all players, and not just the selct few. Working together is important and these help applies that notion further. Also new players getting into wvw will have a bit easier time getting into it while rewards the players they been in there a long time. This seems like a good step going foward and as we play it, I am sure tweaks will come.
It seems like that they are still important to a upgrade and don’t you need them still to get supplies into the camp.?

I think the only thing that makes that point bad is the guild related things there, but other then that, it not that big of a deal to walk there from that waypoint the south east from there.
As a player who is late to the party, I would not mind this. just about finish with my personal story for the first time, and have the story 2 pack, and looking forward to that, but I would not mind seeing what else I missed.
I do not think I can explain it well, the RNG is just fine for the game. It fun to work towards something, trying for that drop, and when ou do get it, you are excited. If I just get it, that sorta borning, but that just how I feel. Some things are given, sure, and other require work, it just how it is, and such.
if everything is just given to you, then how would you make money? how do you feel good when you earn it,?
we are always public beta testing the game, lol. That why every day new bugs are found, and new bugs are fix. Just playing normal has it that way too, lol/
I personally LOVED the idea of getting beta access as a drop worth a generous 25 silver, but HATED the fact that it could only drop in SW/DT!!! It’s very original, hasnt been done in any other mmo, the usual ANet innovation
I was basically forced to play my only lvl 80 char, a ranger not less, for 4 days straight in the same area (cause let’s face it, DT sucks), until i got my mail. I was bored kittenless!!I would absolutely love to get access to other betas/events via a drop, but imho it should be either world wide, or different map every day, even if lvl 80 only.
No one forced you to do anything, You did it cause you wanted to try to earn it. There no reason to be this upset, it just beta too. Not like anything people get to do there will effect their account.
I hope they do this again, it the most fun I had in both SW and Dry top, because I mostly play at my night, and it normally slow, but for the most part, when I log in, people are active and it been nice.
or maybe, just changing up how they do it. Is it really a big deal if you do not do the beta? I mean, you wont earn anything, and even if you do get a little future knowledge of it, anything is subject to change. On top of that, they encourage people to chat about it, and even stream video if they wish, so you can watch it.

I am still going to use my turrets, so most likely, you will still see them, at about as much as normal.
Then maybe use it smartly? Turrets already died that quickly in pvp anyways, and yet, they are still good as far as I seen. placing them before or during the chaos can make a big difference sometimes.
I am looking on the bright side. My partner and I are getting some good farming done. If we get a portal, super, if not, well, it just beta, lol. Though I told her, I bet she gets one more then me, which be funny, cause she would not really play it without me anyways, lol.
Also what is everyone deal with the RNG? I swear the goddess been kind to me. I been playing a lot, and get lots of loots, so it seem like it working ok. I not suffer for things, is it just people not wanting to actually try for something, or am I missing something?

I am fairly new, and find leveling brand new so easy, and the best part is, the game keeps you at a low level so eveything does not feel easy. I was worried about how fast I was leveling and all I did eas explore around queendale as I started as a human. As i got use to the game, it got a bit easier, that I never understand how it hard to not level really. So much to do, and bam, your up there.a lot of time, you even get replacement gear as you go, so little reason to slow down. I remember when I wanted to play a little solo from my partner, she level quicker between just playing and a little wvw now and then and daily here and there, it just such a nice pace.
I always salvage the blue and try my luck in the forge with the green to get a yellow item.
Sometimes I do find my thief acting that way too, and I think it cause by the odd targeting sometimes, like somehow i tarted something she not attacking and it will case auto attack to not work.
at most, it feels like it takes me about 10 minutes to do my daily more or less. 12 daily, and you need only 3 if you want achivment points, it a good deal. 4 in general, 4 wvw and 4 pvp, most of which do kinda go together which is helpful too. more so in pvp, lol. Some are great to, I love when there a general node one, cause it means free mats, heh, and some wvw are super easy like master of ruins and caravan disruptor. I usally like to do my daily right after work, it relaxing, and as I said, at least for me, not to hard to get in three.
I would like auto collect, or at least allow loot collection even when dead, lol.
I played as ranger and even her range weapon seem that all i do is kill and press F and get the loot, even at a distance.
also any loot for most of the monster fights they spawn, I guess I am still young enough to like them, lol.
I always thought events were a combination of gold, karma and guild points, and that what makes them good?
I think the only unfunny prank of today is that so far I seen like 10 topics being the same, and that seem like spam to me, lol.
