The answer is in his post. Reading before replying is usually the best approach.
Thought it may be helpful to set up this subreddit up specifically for the purpose of helping teams find players and players find teams. As currently it’s not easy to find these sort of posts easily in this forum or the GuildRecruitment subreddit as they are both filled with PvE and PvX Guild’s posts. This subreddit is not for PvP guilds either, just competitive teams and players.
This should make it easy to view these easily all in one place with a format for both Team LF players and Players LF Team, that should make it easy to browse quickly if people stick to it. Please include as much info as possible in your posts and contact AccountName.Number! Or it’s unlikely you’ll hear from anyone.
Indeed. The idea here is, as mentioned, it is something that fulfills a different role to the guild recruitment subreddit. The trouble with PvP team posts in the LF forums and that subreddit are that they are so few and far between that they really are difficult to find and so this new subreddit is a place specifically for only those posts. Also the process of recruiting members for a competitive team is nothing like recruiting people for a guild.
People haven’t really stuck to the the format I had proposed in the sidebar, but I guess as there isn’t a massive amount of posts it really doesn’t matter, at least for now.
With the Academy Gaming tournaments every monday evening now well established, now is a great time for people to be starting to form some new teams, fill out existing ones and join these lower level tournaments.
I just figured such a place with solely these posts would be helpful, even if it is just for a fairly small part of the game’s overall community.
Loads of items listed as on sale ending in just under 3hrs but none of those items appear to be any cheaper than usual?
A new post to contain both links and all the information about the subreddits I created to help the PvP players network easier than the current methods and so help the PvP scene grow with more competitive teams in the EU and NA regions.
The PvPTeam finder subreddit has been well used for a while now and the new TeamScrims finder subreddit is growing too.

Why I created these subreddits:
I want to see more competitive teams in the PvP scene and I felt that if I could make it easier for PvP players to network with each other and form teams that would be of great benefit to the scene and the players within it.
So I created these subreddits in order to provide a space for people to post their PvP “looking for” posts, where they won’t be buried by the large amount of PvX, PvE and WvW posts, as the these types of posts are so few and far between.
These subreddits allow the PvP players to view all the posts they are interested in, in one place with ease. It also means that you do not need to worry about bumping your thread to keep it visible.

BUMP for a great guild
All i have is a Warrior at 80.
If you aren’t aware you can use a character that isn’t lvl 80 in PvP, they are all leveled up to 80 much like WvW, although unlike WvW your gear is also statistically max. So even a new character at lvl 2 is just as strong in PvP as an 80.
I’m English but am currently on Yak’s Bend NA, looking to move to EU to reduce the awful lag. LF an active guild with a good amount of British players in so I know there’s another good reason to move across regions. In NA currently there are very few brits and brit guilds seem to be non existent / inactive.
Don’t have the in game money to move across so unfortunately will have to spend 20 quid I suppose.
Mostly WvW player, although I do play everything. What are the wvw queues times like in deso and gandara?

but, it doesn’t matter anymore, with megaservers….it’s all a mix, cept WvW.
Well the main question is about the split of UK players NA/EU. I included every server as an option anyway though as it adds more detail to that split.
So far we can see that deso and gandara are fairly popular for UK in EU, and there are a fair few UK players on NA servers.
Not sure if this is the correct place to put this.

I should add,
I am currently in the top 200 in team arena.
(Yes I know this doesn’t mean much as the leaderboards are clearly not very good)
I am playing 6-7 hrs a day of pvp.
LF a team that takes TPvP seriously.
Play mostly: Warrior, Mesmer, Elementalist, Engineer and Thief.
Have done well with teams in the past in EU but took a break and now have come back to the game on NA due to other circumstances outside of PvP and now LF a team to play some good pvp with.
I am English but can play at almost any time of day or night.

Having a good number of British or English speaking European players is a big plus too.

Here is a video we made just a few weeks ago with the help of some of our friends over at [Dyak] and other members of the GW2 community!
I’ve come to the conclusion the stuttering was due to my CPU being an Intel – i3 – 3.4GHz. I think that although this is easily good enough to play GW2 with a good frame rate and quality it probably isn’t all that great when rendering a video but i’m no expert on computer systems.
This was just for a bit of fun after all. I think I will refrain from making any more videos for a few months until I can get more time and refine the quality or upgrade my system a bit.
Vista fly bys are a good idea I’ve heard a few times since I made this. Wish I had included some. I did use one vista at the end to try to catch people jumping into the volcano but we couldn’t get the shot just right but I used some of it anyway. (You can just about see at least two people from the group falling in that scene)
I’m also not entirely sure what went wrong with the audio but I will most likely not use such a bass heavy song in the future. The audio wasn’t edited by yer maybe the volume did something as you say? I don’t know.

Yes there certainly is a lot that could be better about it.
But this is as I say the first time I’ve done anything like this and I used completely free software.
When and if future videos happen, more of an effort will be put into retaining the quality through the process of editing, exporting, uploading etc.
I’m not to sure how I can improve the audio quality. To me it sounds alright.
I know it’s a very bass heavy song but I didn’t edit the audio in anyway.

I am looking for participants for a video I am working on to be uploaded to youtube just for fun.
The concept is to make a music video somewhat similar to the videos we saw a lot of from GW1, where you would see 50+ people sync dancing in some scenes. The links below are for reference to what i’m talking about for anyone who hasn’t seen them or would enjoy the nostalgia trip.
From what i’ve seen searching around on youtube there aren’t many GW2 dance videos in comparison to what the community produced in GW1. The few that are there are not at all on the same scale of the GW1 videos either.
So I intend to make one of a similar sort just for a bit of fun.
I am all set to do so but I am in need of people willing to participate.
I intend to do most of the recording next weekend starting friday evening to sunday evening 7th-9th of march.
The reason I am posting this now is so that I can gauge the amount of people interested in joining the project.
I really think this game has a great community and so I am confident in your support.

- My server is Yak’s Bend [NA] and so the recording will all take place in this server and so unfortunately anyone on a european server won’t be able to join in.
- I have posted this to the official forums and the sub reddit.
- Meeting up to start recording scenes will happen on friday the 7th march at 10:30pm GMT.

- The meetup location is the very center of Ebonhawke. This is purely because it’s easy to get to and will be quiet.
(The video will be recorded all over the game, locations to be decided during the week. Please offer suggestions)

A small guild who are mostly from Great Britain and east coast USA and so have a play time of 5:30pm GMT onwards during weekdays. A few of us have known each other for over four years and met playing the original Guild Wars. The idea of this guild is to build on our already close knit group of active players.

On The North American Server Yak’s Bend. This is due to our American friends, the larger server pops across American servers and the fact that everyone speaks English.

Repping is not mandatory but you will be able to be apart of the community far easier if you do rep and are active on vent when logged onto GW.
Anyone is welcome to join us regardless of their age, in game ability, or time zone. You will of course get more out of being apart of the guild if you are in the UK or USA but that does not mean others are unwelcome. Some guilds do not allow people below a certain age or don’t accept people who meet their standards of in game ability. We are open to anyone who is friendly and keen to join the nice community we have in order to learn from, to teach or just play along with us.
We have our own Vent server so often there is not much being said in guild chat as it is all being spoken. You don’t have to join us on vent but you will again find it easier to be apart of our community by doing so.

Im not insulted by the fact that you know more then me. I wouldn’t of had any problem with you if you had actually given advice in the same manner as you just did rather then the earlier Aragant one sentence reply about thiefs being easy…
says the guy who thinks focus is better then pistol… gs is not bad at all. I’m not based on cond damage.
I used to have focus to swap to back when we cud swap weps from inventory mid game like gw1. Where you would have so many shields haha
I use sword pistol + gs. gs 5 can knock a thief from his refuge but often as I mentioned earlier the refuge is used out of sight so the first you see of them is when they attack.
I don’t always have a focus its a very specific use to bring it then which isn’t worth it.
The pet thing sounds like a bug though so I imagine it will be removed at some point. With entangle yes that does destroy bursters but I have to see him first to know its worth using my elite. Even when you stun break quick enough which pretty kitten quick you’ve already lost a lot of health and all the thief then does is smack the crap outta their number 2 to heart seek you to death. Although you stand more of a chance if u can stun break quick enough it’s not easy to avoid being hs to death.
With ranger I can lay traps around the point prior to seeing anyone ofcourse but a few traps isn’t enough. To stop someone who has a good few secs and full stealth to walk around or take the best route.
Yes I play ranger and mesmer both need a slight nerf though but I like the styles of play.
The refuge is often popped out of sight though : / so u have no idea they are even there until dink dink dink dead.
