This is an old item, so my request will probably fall on deaf ears but could Anet add 1 more dye channel to the Asura T3 light armor; Savant Coat? To control the color of the glowing bits?

In the image attached I show an example of how it looks when you change the colors. I’d like to make the arm glow yellow without changing the color of half of the chest, it seems odd that it works this way to begin with!

Yeah I really hope they get buffed, I earned both legit (the prestige disintegrated with the exploit though..), and my friend could hardly see them lol, I can hardly notice them unless I’m standing still.

I was playing with the SAB Box of tricks or whatever and one of them gave me some sort of pixelly aura, I wish the SAB auras were more noticeable like that one..

That is to say: I’m sure that SAB is worth investing in, but I don’t think any of us can say whether it’s the best use of that investment, when compared with all other competing ideas

I’ve convinced people to buy GW2 specifically on the basis of SAB, because it represented so much possibility and diversity within the game. I can’t think of anything else in the game that has a similar dev input to consumer output.

To put it in context, even if the 6 man legendary team had produced every single one of the new legendaries in six months, rather than one, that still isn’t a game seller. No one outside of the game cares about a second set of skins. Nor is a third of a raid particularly appealing.

Things like SAB and the Living World were things that I could go to other people with and say “Hey! Check out how alive and exciting the world of GW2 is! It’s all free too!” Since they abandoned that model, put most mini-games on a weird rotation and stuck them in LA, and the NPE gutted a lot of the starter zones of variety, there just isn’t that kind of feeling any more. It’s really hard to tell people that Tyria is a world of possibilities, which didn’t use to be the case.

My friends bought GW2 around the time SAB first came out, they renamed their GW2 folder SAB and some of them only log in when SAB is around lol

I used to love SAB but they made it too hard… I used to love Jumping Puzzles but they made them too hard..

It kinda puts me off the whole thing when you just cannot pass content anymore.

But they have infantile mode! I think it’s just right.

Could a dev specify if that was just for this year’s SAB? Or.. Forever? Some people told me it’ll be a yearly festival and maybe get tiny gimmicky changes or maybe new skins but no new content and the thought of that breaks my heart.

Tested it just now in WvW, seems to be working, and with the right cool down!

I dunno what was going on the other day – also that CD bug with the rune of the Krait is criminal, 45 seconds is so much longer, they should fix that ;o

I’m using Channeled Vigor, the Daredevil heal, perhaps it’s only bugged with that? Or maybe it was fixed? I haven’t hopped on to check yet but I will later today.

Can’t be, I tried it on a lot of enemies, I was standing right in front of them, and the cooldown is only 10 seconds, I tested it using a heal with a 16 second CD, so each heal should’ve caused the burn.

Is it working for you?

I’ve based a condition build off of that rune; where when you use a heal skill you burn nearby foes and.. I noticed today that it doesn’t work anymore? I’ve been running around in HoT maps and testing it out, and nothing is getting burned.

I need to get into the watery grave for my juggernaut achievement, and I’ve been running every TEQ for a few days now, even maps organized by random people do too much damage, there are no vortexes. It’s a real pain in the butt.

This will probably never be addressed :/

I remember on reddit Colin or someone said they’d like to add skill effects with legendaries and engineer kits eventually, but it’s low on the priority list. But new things keep coming up that are put on top priority and the stuff at the bottom will just sit there :/

I guess when I make Colossus I’ll sell it and make a different legendary.

I’ve been working on getting Juggernaut for a while now, it’s still my favorite legendary and Engineer is my main.. But someone showed me the effects of that hammer with the Scrapper’s skills: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBZ5cYhLFl8&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=JordanWebb

It only effects the auto attack. You don’t see the liquid metal trail on anything else! It’s bad enough that kits don’t see any effects, but this is super disappointing.

My computer is more than capable of playing the game but the past few months have been super crashy. But lately I’ve been keeping an eye on my CPU load, thinking that might be it. I limited my FPS to 30 and that keeps my CPU on a 60-80% load, compared to 90%+. But I still randomly crash, maybe a bit less frequently, but still multiple times a day.

Anyway, I also noticed that, while browsing the tradepost, my CPU skyrocketed and crashed my game. It’s weird because no other games crash, I only have this problem with GW2.. Even when I lower the settings. Also the Virtual Memory goes up a lot too, I keep increasing it but I’m not noticing any differences. And I’ve tested my ram, there are no problems with them.

I fancy myself a decent player, and I’ve always loved Thief, but roaming around in WvW in full zerker gear isn’t exactly easy mode. Sure I get the occasional easy prey, but I can easily be shot down.

Mesmers are like bombs I’ve learned. If I hit them they just explode on me if I’m not careful.

Hmmm it’s not dusty, but I’ll keep that in mind and make sure I keep my PC clean. And I’ll test the ram when I get a chance.. Thanks for the help! In the meantime, I tried increasing the size for the paging file for virtual memory. Like explained here :o http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/virtual-memory-low-heres-fix/

Ah! I see! Well those crashes I posted were using the 32bit client, I thought maybe I might get different results because I don’t notice anything with 64bit. I’ll play with 64bit and when I crash again I’ll check if my virtual memory is still capping.

If it is having the issues you mentioned.. What could I do to fix it?

The client also froze halway through the upgrade and isn’t responding. I’ve been playing since headstart and the past 2ish months have been awful.

I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ll post my crash info in the next comment, since there is a character limit. I’m not sure where to pinpoint the problem so I can actually enjoy the game.

My PC specs are;
AMD Phenom II X4 945 CPU
Sapphire Radeon R9 270x GPU
M4A79XTD EVO motherboard
8GB RAM

Yes, I repaired it. I’ve also redownloaded it. I’ve tried 32bit and 64bit. I have the game on an SSD and regular HDD and I get the same thing. No other game does this.

Yes I should’ve specified, the game freezes upon logout/exit, no error window comes up, so I just need to kill it then repair it every time. The repair usually works too, but I’m not sure if that’s the problem because a fresh new install yields the same results.

So I’ve been crashing a lot lately, and every now and then when I get the error pop up, my game still runs, totally fine. All I need to do is drag the window out of the way and continue playing.

It happened again tonight while I was in wvw and I continued playing for over an hour. Why am I crashing so much and getting so many errors when my computer can play this game and every other just fine? I feel like it’s something on your end Anet, and not mine.

Which normally forces me to repair/update some files. Sometimes I can skip the repair, but I think my random crashes become more frequent. Also, I’ve been crashing a lot more these past 2 months. It’s super frustrating.

My PC specs are;
AMD Phenom II X4 945 CPU
Sapphire Radeon R9 270x GPU
M4A79XTD EVO motherboard
8GB RAM

The game is installed on a solid state drive. No other games crash, no programs crash when I work, my computer is in tip top shape. I ONLY have this problem with GW2. I’ve repaired my game countless times, I have a backup .dat on another drive that I just copy over now because that’s quicker than repairing, and I’ve also completely redownloaded the game a few times.

I tried uninstalling Catalyst Control Center and installing the latest video card drivers and my problem is the same. I’m using the 64bit client. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix this?

I like auras, and I’ve spent some decent coin on Poly-luminescent Undulating Refractors. I really like how they can make my character look, but it’s a bummer that they aren’t visible in pvp.

Why is this so? Even with you guys making more auras.
