I’m finally finishing up my main story quest and just fought the Sovereign Eye of Zhaitan.

I’ve done everything else this game has to offer, and that fight, albeit not too challenging, was still my favorite in the game. I was shooting and attacking him while actively dodging his spread of laser balls. Kinda reminded me of a Touhou.

No tank and spank, no cornering nonsense, it was real fun. I hope HoT has more engaging fights like that.

The kit was already slow, it took a fair degree of skill and prediction to use properly, and even when I was hitting a lot, I wasn’t dealing cheap amounts of damage. I disagree with a nerf entirely, but 0-15% may have been acceptable. BUT 28?!?!?! PLEASE PUT IT BACK.

I bought a second GW2 account back when it was on sale for $10, and every couple of days since then I’ve tried getting on Jade Quarry. I’ve tried it at odd hours of the night/morning and other random times for months now.

Does a full server mean it’s full forever? Or that there are currently so many people in it, that it’s full? Because it doesn’t seem to matter what time or day I try to get on JQ.

Thanks for letting us know Mr. Peters! Even with the unbalances, I love this update. I haven’t played in months and now you got my hyped for HoT!

My friend got this game to play with me, and i know we can play together… Except WvW.

My guild is in Jade Quarry, and my friend has been patient, even trying to log in at odd hours of the night (2-5am), but still no success for over a week. Will the server ever not be full?

I’ve been working with a build in pvp focusing around juggernaut. When I have my flamethrower equipped I get the might, but I don’t see a change in my toughness stats, in or out of combat.

And I could’ve sworn that in the past it shows that change. I’ve trained training against the computer players in the mists to see if I take more or less damage with the flamethrower equipped, but it’s hard to tell. It seems like I’m taking the same damage, and the toughness isn’t working.

New system isn’t very ‘alt friendly.’ I’ve had 4 characters since head start, and had no idea how awful this system has become. I just made a new character and found out the hard way..

I mostly see zerker only groups. Sure there are a few others, but I agree with yolo swaggins. There are more elitists than trolls.

If people really want to see your gear, you can link your stuff in the chat.

I don’t see why some of you are so against it. They could make Race Change more expensive than New Character slots. People would still buy it. If it’s cheaper, but takes longer to level a new character to 80, making an Alt is still an option.

Blizzard has made millions with character services in WoW. More options is not a bad thing, and how hard can it be? It would pretty much be a more advanced Makeover Kit. And so Anet can roll in more dough, they should let the Race Changer only let you select default looks, so it encourages you to buy a Makeover Kit to get the newer looks after you change your race.

Then reset the story quests on that character if that’s an issue.

Sure I can make a brand new character and level him up. But I’m willing to pay to simply change my race, to save me time. GW2 is already so convenient and casual friendly, they might as well add this feature.

Yeah I’d buy gems for this.

I don’t want to make a new character, I’d rather just pay for the change. If the story is the real issue just make it reset. I don’t care.

And what do they got going on inside of them, how different and similar are their organs to other creatures?

The first mission where the ghost girl went into the sword, that was kinda lame. She thinks she’s fighting Mordrem, then suddenly she knows she’s a ghost.

But the rest was great! The library, as many have stated was really cool, and Glint’s crystal world.. Fantastic. The fighting in there was different, and the visual appeal was great.

I hope we get more content with that type of look. A Fractal, or a new Dungeon. And this is a bit off topic, but we should have more PvP arenas! Even if they’re shaped the same as say, Legacy Of The Foefire, it would be neat to see different texture layouts like Glint’s Lair, or a volcanic theme like the Fire Legion. I love pvp but it gets a little boring seeing the same place even though the fighting could be different, a wider variety of arenas would be super cool.

I’ve been having a few computer issues that I think I’ve fixed, but before, I was getting a few blue-screens-of-death and experiencing GW2 crashes. And if my computer or the GW2 client crashes while it’s “repairing,” when I boot it back up, it forces me to redownload the entire game.

Now I’m downloading the whole game for the second time in 2 days. It’s not like the game isn’t there though, the 20GB files are still in their right folder. Is there any way to make the game start the repair over, rather than redownloading?

I’ve tried the “GW2\Gw2.exe -repair” thing, and that will start the repair, but then open up the client to download the game from scratch again.

I’m not sure if that’s a “bug” or intentional. But I noticed it doesn’t count towards your daily/monthly jump puzzle stuff.

I really enjoy the tower, even after unlocking the crappy chest rewards the first time. It should count towards your daily. I’d rather have fun doing that than running through some other JP I’ve already done.

I submitted an ingame bug report a while back regarding the same thing. The Rocket Boots functionality seems random, it has to be fixed.

I know that even if this is seen mods can’t respond to everyone. But I’m afraid of attempting to transmute the appearance again. I really like those shoulders :’( I hope it gets fixed sooooooon

And near the bottom of my screenshot, it says they were transmuted from “Rampager’s Rubicon Shoulderpads of Balthazar” but that’s wrong as well. They used to be Inquest Shoulderpads (from the dungeon vendor).

I should also note that my coat and gloves are Rubicon, but they are Berserker’s. I only have this problem with shoulderpads.

I’m running a Berserker’s Grenadier PvE build (Wolfineer’s). But I noticed my shoulders were Rampagers? Odd, I could’ve sworn they were Berserker’s. I salvaged them, bought new Berserker’s, put my rune back in and transmuted the appearance of Rubicon back onto the new pair, only to find the Berserker change into Rampager, AGAIN. I even transmuted another look onto them then back to Rubicon to see if they would change, they did not.

I submitted a bug report in game but I figured I should also do so here. I’m upset that my gold went down the toilet rebuying Berserker gear and runes only to learn that this wardrobe armor change nonsense is a glitch! I understand I probably won’t be compensated for my loss in gold (although I would like that), please fix this bug, I really like the look of the Rubicon Shoulders, and for now, I have to use something else.

Took a break from the game for a few months, logged back in the other day, joined a “Fight Club” going on in the WvW JP, I felt rusty but I wrecked everyone. Then continued to do so in PvP. THIS GAME IS SO FUN FFFFFFFFFFFFFF I had the urge to draw my character.

I’ve been testing Restorative Mantras (trait X in Inspiration) in PvP, and they don’t seem to be healing, for balancing reasons does that trait only work in PvE?

Yeah, they really should work like a piece of equipment or something.

Because I stopped bringing mine out with me, taking up inventory space, and I usually forget to bring him out anyway.

The suggestion of nerfing drop rates across the board makes no sense though if the complaint is merely about the nodes.

Yeah. ANet did a great job of banning bots (at least in Orr), which obviously made prices go up. But I do not understand the nerf in rare droprate. I imagine they would do that to COMBAT the bots, but now some items sky rocketted in price AND they’re harder to get for the legit player.

It sucks.

This would be the greatest thing ever. Also make legendaries account bound so I can take my soon-to-be Juggernaut from my warrior and let my Engineer have a whack at it!

Thank you Mr. Peters, this is good news indeed. Now my 1.3k damage per grenade Engineer can be even better! While I absolutely love the DPS I can dish out, everything else seems lackluster..

As some people mentioned, turrets need something. And using a rifle for DPS is moot compared to the damage you can do with grenades, sometimes I wish I could shake things up a bit without sacrificing damage output :/

Oh. Hopefully the price of ectos will drop 10 silver then.

I honestly think the fairest solution is just to give everyone who had a registered account on that day a chest, including those who already finished the event and got one. This would benefit the people who were in the bad timezone, the people who actually had life commitments, the people who got disconnected, and still reward the people who actually finished the fight. The people who were too lazy to do the event get more than they deserve, but I don’t think people resent others having something unjustly as much as they resent not having the chance to get that thing themselves.

Admittedly, this is least fair on the people who spent a couple of hours fighting the thing and then DCed, but I’m sure that many people in the bad timezone would have much rather had the chance to fight it than what they actually got.

I like this. I disconnected from the event, but was fortunate enough to find an overflow 3 hours later where it was still going on and I was able to get the chest. Would I get another chest? Do they have me recorded down as disconnecting, then doing it later? Does doing it later override my first disconnect? Do they even have this information?

I actually chose Engineer over Thief because I like rifles. A rifle doesn’t sound like it would fit thief, but if ANet got creative with it, like the other weapons for the other professions, then I am all for it.

I’m indifferent. I’m peeved though because the same rare materials I need for my legendary are needed for this new equipment, plus with the banning of bots and the surplus of precursors hitting the market.

My legendary journey has become much more expensive, and it was already unrealistically high before.

Grind is subjective.

I think if they had rares drop more often this would be less of an issue.

They got rid of a lot of bots which is great, but then lowered the rare item droprate? That sounds like something they would do to COMBAT botting, but botting is less of a problem now, it really sucks.

Sorry but being double lucky is just bad.

If you are lucky, you find a yellow item, and you can salvage it for an ecto, use it, or sell it.

It is like altering the dungeon rewards.
You might get a chest item, which might give you 0,20,40,60 tokens.
Nobody would argue that this would be a good system, yet for ectos it is ok.

Finding 5 yellows should be a moment of joy, but when you than salvage them and get 0 rewards it is frustating as hell. A game shouldn’t frustate you with something so awful like this. It should be fun. Salvaging for a random chance of rare items isn’t fun.

I like this, then the ecto prices can come down to a reasonable price, and for people going to super exotics or legendary, needed 2 stacks of them will still be difficult, understandably.

Just save up about 700 gold and you can buy them.
