I don’t think the trait Training of the Master (Spite, Master trait) works on the bone minion’s Putrid Explosion… seeing as it’s “minion damage” you’d think it would.
Can anyone test and confirm this? I can not add it on guesses.
Well its been 12 hours since a forum bug do not let me edit this thread, so that will bring an explanation about why the last posts has not been added to the list.

You can master DS by mixing some crucial traits here and there that give you bonuses, and exploit the game a little bit with some channeling and DS=HP mechanics.
But with the amount of hidden CDs, long CDs, bugs, non scaling condition damage, low scaling Power damage, slow attack speed is not profitable.
And even doing that micro-management, that gives no diversity to the class.
Dont let me start about underwater combat… many times GW2 made me Alt+F4 ragequit.

Right now i can not update it… yesterday i had the same problem and it autofixed itself after refreshing (1 hour later).
Using life transfer while in DS, and then life force bar run out causes life transfer to continue.
Actually is working as it should, check “Transfusion” and “Dark armor” traits and you will discover a new world
Not totally, the “bug” shows that transfusion should actually also be healing the caster, but instead you get a increased amount of lifeforce gained.
I guess inside DS the life force bar is considered by the game mechanics as a normal HP bar. This causing many issues related to procs at x% HP from Runes, and Traits.
This thing goes deep…
Just to clarify i was refering on using Life Transfer at 1-5% life force left, so it will continue channeling while in normal form, and thanks to Transfusion heal you for 200-500 /tick and giving you +400 toughtness at the same time. This is a really sneaky way of using the synergies that a Necro provides at his full potential.

Terror Trait “Fear does Damage” Currently only hits for 26 dmg, Crits for 44.
It did hit for 400 on my necro, what level are you?
I was using it in a over on the NPC’s in the Heart of the Mist testing out dmg. So lvl80.
It could be that it was power based as I was testing it with no amulets on to get a baseline. But even then 28-400 shouldn’t be that big of a difference with just a power amulet.
Just tested it on Orr against Sparks.
Fear hits for 660 and lowers the mob HP.
Both fears (Mark or Doom from DS) hit for that damage.
Funny thing: Combat Log does not display this damage.
The damage of the skill itself its show, 57 for Doom, 160~ for the Mark.

@Cerulean, the ethereal field + blast finisher never worked for me.
@ Brogin then its a tooltip bug, ill report it.
Did anyone point out that Blood Fiend doesn’t heal for the said amount of 6,580 when using Taste of Death? It only heals about 4,080 max for me.
What level are you?
Dark Armor Is bugged. It only gives 252 toughness while channeling.
At lower levels, it only gives me 100
Maybe its 400 at level 80, and scalates on lower levels. Can anyone confirm this?

Mark of Evasion has an internal cooldown which is not noted on the trait.

Anet just uploaded a video where a developer that loves the Necromancer concept starts brainstorming about the possible upcoming changes to the class… but the warrior developer deleted it.

@ Serenity I need another player to confirm me this one. It could be a distance to target problem or auto attack not picking the target, ence you have to manually click 1 every time.

@iniquix that is a common problem, and getting bronze medals after 10 minuts of condition spamming on World Bosses too.

Working As Intended
- (NB0035) If you stay at the surface of the water the Flesh Golem will sink, then die. (Instead of instantly die). CD reset to full duration.
- (NB0021) Utility: Plague Signet: only removes the first condition, the others are just copied. (Like Deathly Swarm and Gathering Plague)
- (NB0053) Death Magic: Minion Master: does not reduce the cooldowns of your Minion Skills, just the cooldowns of your summoning minion skill.
- (NB0065) Blood Magic: Vampiric + Vampiric Precision: does not scale with healing, it will not work while in a special form. (Lich, Plague, Moa).
- (NB0061) Blood Magic: Transfusion: does not scale with healing.
- (NB0124) Blood Magic: Fetid Consumption: When drawing conditions off of you, minions simply make the condition disappear.
- (NB0073) Minions: will die if the player transforms into another creature (Lich Form, Plague, mesmers Moa).
- (NB0076) Minions: Underwater: will die and have their cooldowns reset to full duration if the player doesn’t have the minions on their underwater bar and on their land bar in the same position.
- (NB0077) Condition Damage: is not increased by extra damage traits nor vulnerability.
- (NB0088) General: When using a casting skill if the target goes out of range and the skill misses, you get the full CD instead of a cancelled cast CD of 2-3 sec.
- (NP0001) General: Can not start channeled skills mid jump, though you can start them before you jump and them will not cancel.
- (NP0008) General: You cannot be healed while in DS.

Other Problems (not bugs)_______________________________________
- (NP0002) Loot from monsters on group events is not dropped to Necromancers as often as to other players (lack of direct/fast damage output?).
- (NP0003) Bleed stacks limited to 25 on World Events Bosses may be causing an issue where Condition Necromancers only achieve Bronze Medals.
- (NP0004) Finishers Necromancers lack finishers, have none Leap finishers, only one underwater Whirl finisher, and only Staff/Pets Projectile and Blast finishers.
If you use any other kind of weapons, or you simply do not use pets, you have no finishers at all. Neither we have any in DS. - (NP0005) Lich Form auto-attack does not start automatically.
- (NP0006) Jagged Horrors are being exploited by enemies in PVP to rally from downed state. Death magic trait Reanimator should be an option not a forced minor trait until this is fixed.
- (NP0007) Using minions skills should not interrupt the Necromancer normal skills.
- (NP0009) Combat log does not show damage from conditions. “Foe was hit for 2900 damage by your Bleeding” – Calculated every second would be an idea .

- (NT0001) Spite trait Spiteful Talisman changes the description of “Spinal Shivers” to “Inflicts Chill and Vulnerability on your foe”. However, this is inaccurate, as it stills “Chills your foe and remove three boons”.
- (NT0002) Chill of Death Tooltip does not indicate the internal cooldown of 15 seconds.
- (NT0003) Weakening Shroud Tooltip do not mention the hidden 15 seconds CD.
- (NT0004) Curses trait Barbed Precision Tooltip does not reflect that it only Grants 1 stack of bleeding for 1 second.
- (NT0005) Death Magic trait Greater Marks do not update Marks Tooltips “Radius”.
- (NT0006) Death Magic trait Dark Armor Tooltip does not escalate the amount of toughness given on lower levels. (Ex: its 400 at 80, at level 22 also says 400, but it does not give 400)
- (NT0007) Blood Magic trait Mark of evasion Tooltip does not indicate the hidden CD “This trait can be triggered once every 10 seconds.”

Soul reaping
- (NB0007) Soul reaping: Path of Midnight: Generates a bug in which while in Death Shroud, after casting Dark Path (2nd skill), the cooldown starts at 10, then ticks down to 9, then starts at 12.
- (NB0072) Soul reaping: Gluttony: Does not work at all.
- (NB0104) Soul reaping: Soul Mark: Mark of Revival does no trigger +3% Life force from Soul Mark.
Other bugs__________________________________________________________
- (NB0083) Sound: After viewing a vista, skills such as Locust Swarm won’t play audio for a short while.
- (NB0039) Sound: The trait Spiteful Talisman removes Spinal Shivers pre-cast sound effect.
- (NB0097) Sound: Necrotic Grasp sound sometimes sound too high, the normal sound itself is not very pleasant.
- (NB0108) Sound: Jagged Horror footsteps sound is excessively loud, specially underwater.
- (NB0031) Minions: AI needs to be improved. Them either randomly attack un-targeted enemies, do not attack targeted enemies or ignore destructible structures/items.
- (NB0122) Life stealing: Life Stealing Has the opposite effect on Enemies (Bug report)
- (NB0123) Life stealing: Wells and Life Stealing are healing the enemies (Bug report)
- (NB0081) General: Marks do not trigger on downed players, dragons, Stationary targetable targets (Turrets, Risin Fish head mobs, Downed players, Seige equipment, targetable equipment racks / supplies in many “Hearts”)
- (NB0082) General: Destructible items are obstructed, missed, or really hard to destroy by the Necromancer.
- (NB0091) When ressing a downed ally, if you push your “death shroud” button at the same time than your “action” button (had bound shroud to R and action to the regular F so its easy to slip and push both sometimes) your character will get stuck and cant move, you need to relog or teleport to another point.
You can still use skills.
The same happens when finishing a downed enemy.
Also happens to Elementalists if they revive + change element.

Spite
- (NB0095) Spite: Chill of Death: When it cast Spinal Shivers on a foe it applies the chill effect, but not the damage of the skill.
- (NB0109) Spite: Parasitic Bond: This trait does not grant health or life force at all.
Curses
- (NB0038) Curses: Weakening Shroud: Stacks only 1 bleed instead of the 2 bleeds Enfeebling Blood does.
- (NB0042) Curses: Chilling Darkness: Does not work with Plague of Darkness.
- (NB0084) Curses: Focused Rituals: Curses trait Focused Rituals changes Well of Corruption “Icon” when is active.
Death Magic
- (NB0046) Death Magic: Greater Marks: With Greater Marks active, only Chillblains has the 240 ground targeting (AOE) indicator. (The targeting display used when “Fast cast ground targeting (AoE).” is disabled)
- (NB0103) Death Magic: Greater Marks: does not increases Mark of Revival’s (Soul Reaping trait) area of effect nor the size of the mark display on the ground to 240.
- (NB0111) Death Magic: Greater Marks: Guardian’s Passive “Aegis” and “Shelter” skill ignore the unblockable effect.
- (NB0078) Death Magic: Reanimator: Get into out of combat is an issue as long as the jagged horror is still alive.
- (NB0110) Death Magic: Reapers Protection: This trait still gives 20+ seconds of AoE fear when it hits another necro with reapers protection. (Even after September 25th patch)

- (NB0014) Weapons: Focus: Reapers Touch: Never bounces to minions if no players are in range even though it states that it bounces to “allies”.

- (NB0099) Weapons: Trident: Sinking Tomb: has infinite range, does not require LoS and can hit targets on land.

Utility
- (NB0094) Utility: Spectral Wall: skillbar countdown shows 31, 30, 31, 30, 29… if the Soul Reaping trait “Spectral Mastery” is active.
- (NB0102) Utility: Spectral Wall: Ethereal field combo: when triggered by Putrid Mark, gives Chaos Armor. But those Chaos Armor buffs have a 2-3 second delay to affect the players.
- (NB0023) Utility: Bone Minion: If killed by Putrid Explosion Death Nova will not trigger.
- (NB0024) Utility: Bone Minion: Putrid Explosion: If used to activate the Ethereal combo field (gain Chaos Armor), there is a consistent 2-3 second delay before you get the buffs.
- (NB0025) Utility: Flesh Wurm: necrotic Traversal: The damage it produces does not effect targets. The damage numbers (164) appear above their heads, as does the poison indicator on their health bar, but the damage is not applied, and the act does not cause the NPC to become hostile.
Elite
- (NB0112) Elite: Dropping out of plague form does not give you stability, unlike dropping out of Lich form still maintains the full 30 seconds.

As i did not have had any kind of response i moved some bugs to the “Trash Bin”, at the end of the post.
How this works:

- (NB0106) Siphones Power “Gain might” will trigger after entering DS and receive foe damage. (Ignores %HP trigger)
- (NB0003) Decaying Swarm will trigger after entering DS and receive foe damage. (Ignores %HP trigger)
- (NB0116) Death Shroud: If you get transformed into a Moa Bird you can’t leave Death Shroud.

Level 80 PVE Condition Necro, 1k Power, 1k Condition dmg, Staff/Scepter-dagger
- At 24 might stacks DS and Lich crit for 3k, warrior next to you for 27k.
- Tables, boxes or hands coming out of the ground, provide EPIC fights…
unless another player comes and 2 hits the thing ruinning your moment.
- That memorable moment when you stack +60% bleed, +30% cond, +33% scepter duration…
And your 8 seconds bleed last for… 8 seconds.
- You become a Lich, summon 5 Jagged Horrors, and when they are at 50% health… you go to DS, use transfusion… and it doesnt heal them.
- That glorious instant, when you use staff 2, change, utility 7, scepter 4, 2, 5
evasion roll to the enemy, ds form, ds 2, exit ds, spamm scepter 1…
…and see x24 bleed stacks for 1 seconds… the second after its 12, and then 8.
A minut later some thief out of nowhere press 3, 3, 3, 3 and gets 12 bleed stacks…
Magic find + Condition damage on Rings, Accesories and Amulets is also missing.
