How can you stack up to 25?
My maths go up to 23
Then is a pretty unrealistic chart :S
How many of those classes and crafting profesions are still level 1…
Can you tweet asking for a new level 80 chart?
If you compare a Mesmer iWarlock (18 sec cd): ranged damage (3-5k)
to our Elite skill Flesh Golem (60 sec cd): melee damage 0.8-1.5k
you get the idea…
Well, last time the distributions looked something like this…
I would like to know if that chart reflects all created characters (1-80) or just level 80’s.
In my guild we have 100+ level 80’s, only 4 are Necros. (And 0 engineers)

That damage was done in 17 auto attacks that you ate one after another.

Actually DS is another health bar, so you can be healed and make longer your DS duration. (Tested with regeneration at 90%, i came back to 100% lifeforce)
If this was intended or not, i do not know. But the problem is reported. One of this years we will get a response. The lack of communication is frustrating.
Actually I just tested this with Mark of Blood (regeneration) and Well of Blood, neither of them actually recovered life force while I used DS (3% decrease per tick both times).
Then this bug is deeper than we expected.
Lets keep gathering more information about heals and DS.
You can’t combo with a blast finisher out of combat with Putrid Mark “4” on the staff. All other classes that I know of can.. but Necros. Like lay a fire combo field and blast finish it with the Putrid Mark.. it wont work out of combat. You’ll see the heart but no might. If your in combat thou it will give you the might. The mark doesn’t need to explode like chillblains does for the combofield to make use of the blast finisher. It Blast finishes fine in combat.. just not out :/
I think ill just report that we dont have finishers at all if we are not MM using a staff.
This is clearly a poor design on the Anet side.
Hello, here’s a bug (oversight?) that has bothered me for a while:
All healing effects are wasted while in death shroud.
Regeneration loses duration, but you gain no health. Standing in a well of blood will gain no health. etc. It could be that these are giving life force (I doubt it), but your health when entering and exiting death shroud are always the same, no matter what healing effects you are supposed to get.
This is pretty easy to test. Just jump in to a 1v1 game with a buddy, have him hit you. Note your starting health, then use a mark of blood or well of blood(make sure to see new hp) and immediately go into DS. Walk around for a bit and leave DS and ta-da, same hp, but your regen got used up/ well has ended.

Some issues that people have with wells, is that some of their functions only work when casted for the first time. Not if you exit / join the well area of effect.
I dont know about this one in particular, but the trait that gives you protection when casting a well, only works the first time that you cast the well on top of yourself. If you use wells ground targeting and cast the well 200 meters away and then join his area of effect you will not get protection…

necromancer is so weak because of bugs
They arn’t that weak, but the only bug i know of is this one. What other ones should i look out for? Note: my necro is 80 and I’ve only encountered this 1 bug so far.

I was Necro for Epidemic, until i meet my warrior level 3.
At level 3 i have the same amount of bleeds on a group of targets with 4 skills than using 12+ skills on my 80 necro.
But who need bleeds having a Great sword with 100B… all attacks are AOE.
Hey, im interested in this results (as im re-rolling a mesmer). What are the quantity of bleed stacks you can have on the target? (Using only autoattack)
And what the quantity using shatter images and all the Mesmer skills that bleed.
Also interested on the hunter bleeds using all his skills.

I was really interested in your analysis, so i had to re-check your data to confirm (as i do with other bug reports)
Instead of a clock, i used the Debuff tooltip on the enemy status.
I tested it on Golden Moas, level 80 downleveled to 33. (To rice the rize)
I use the longest bleed duration skill available to get clearly results “Blood is power”
Blood is Power
“Bleed duration” -> duration buff
30 sec -> base
36 sec-> +20% (20 smite points) = + 6 sec
42 sec -> +20% Hemofilia = +6 sec
44 sec -> +7% Major Sigil of Agony = +2 sec
All start counting 1 second off on the debuff, 29-35-41-43…
After this i used the scepter and the results were a bit different
Scepter
4 sec -> base
5 sec -> +20% (20 smite points) = +0,8 sec
6 sec -> +20% Hemofilia = +0,8 sec
9 sec -> +33% Scepter = + 1,32 sec
10 sec -> +7% Major Sigil of Agony = +0,28 sec
4 + 0,8 + 0,8 + 1,32 + 0,28 = 7,2sec
but… we reached 10 sec, i think Anet (being kind) took into consideration a new formula for >10 sec bleed skills. That rouds up decimals.
4 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 9 sec
we dont reached 10 seconds yet… maybe they calculate duration buffs from higher to lower and using final added duration (33% + 20% + 20% +7%)
4 + 33% (rounded up) = 6
6 + 20% (rounded up) = 8
8 + 20% (rounded up) = 9
10 + 7% (rounded up) = 11
Well… we are getting close, but i hate maths. Let it be.

I created a necro so i could use a wide array of damage conditions to specialize and use against my enemies.
Then use long fears and some life leech to kite and damage them while healing myself.
I have found that the “wide array of damage conditions” was shorted to Poison+Bleed.
I have found that long fears only last 1 second, being the shortest fears of the game.
I have found that life leech only steals 25 / hit at level 80.
I have found some weird class mechanic named Death Shroud that i was not told about.
I have found 99 reported bugs related to his skills / traits.
I still have a Necro as my main, but it feels like playing a half-crafted class, like if something was missing… or finished in a hurry.
When i think about what can i offer on a dungeon, i look at my Epidemic button (Spread conditions on a target foe to all nearby foes.) and my Plague Signet (Transfers conditions from nearby allies to yourself) but that last skill is bugged so i keep looking at Epidemic.
I keep playing hoping that someday it will be finished and feel complete.

As of last night’s patch Necrotic Grasp is acting as a combo finisher for me (including in Dark fields, proccing Lifesteal.)
The tooltip clearly states that its a 20% Projectile Finisher, is working correctly since the pre-launch of the game.

All I saw is that you don’t like condition damage. W/o precision you will be sitting at 10 bleeds at most.
Can you please show us some proof to confirm this opinion?
I apply up to 24 stacks of bleed in less than 10 seconds with 25% crit. And an average of 12-15 bleeds constantly.
You do not need “+bleed on crit” Weapon Runes on a condition Necromancer, we attack too slow for that, and not every one of us want a glass cannon “Precision + Cond + Power” stats items. Some of use use “Vit+Cond” with no Precision items.
You will be better using the +10% condition duration Rune.
Quick way to fix the necro:
- Make Spite tree give Power and Precision.
- Make Curses tree give Condition Damage and Condition Duration.
I love your idea, you should use formatting options to make it clear like this.

There are more related bugs on the “Necromancer bugs list”. It worth to read it all.
The “necromancer bugs compilation” was the first bug thread to receive a Sticky and a comment from Anet dev JonPeter.
They will fix the bugs sooner or later, it is their job. But it is a massive bug list, and it will require more time, organization and caffeine to fix than the other “little” things. The coder will be have tons of fun tought.

Chill of Death
Slows down your auto attack speed whether it casts spinal shivers or its on cooldown when your target hits 25% health and until its dead.Does not slow auto attack speed.
I have multiple reports saying otherwise. Players having lagged / freeze / inestable speeds on autoattack when they have this trait enabled.
Some of them came here asking why they had this problems, and 100% of them had this trait chosen. After removing it the problem got fixed.
The patch notes does not reflect any fix so, until we have some more comments confirming that it works, i will not remove the bug from the list.

@Ramza Anyone can kite / kill 7 melee monsters, you should go Orr and try the same with 7 ranged / magic mobs.
Thats when some of those frustating moments comes in, like when your pets do not attack at all…

80% of the time , they don’t attack my foe which force me to face it alone(specially as I’m a MM ).
There is a flesh-golem bug too > I got -20% minions recharge time , however flesh-golem recharge still 60 ( has not been affected ).
Both of those bugs has been already reported and added to the list
