Everyone in CO agrees; these are probably some of the best fights we have ever had. For example, below: charging into a sea of JQ, only to have BG come in from another side, MASSIVE FIGHT, then… we take camp?

I don’t understand 2v1 talk. It’s a 3 way battle, there’s always gonna be 2 servers attacking you at almost anytime.

If this happens past your prime time, surely you see that if you’re smaller in numbers you become the natural target for capping points? Who wants to go through hours of fights and wipes just to secure something that is so well defended?

To add to, and clear this up a little:

1) Over the past few weeks it has appeared that TC and FA are leaving each other alone to concentrate on DB.
2) This has been confirmed to be PURELY COINCIDENCE by one of FA’s main ex-guild leaders (who did a great job in EB last night, btw)- there is no official alliance between TC and FA.
3) Unofficial alliances, however, are part of WvW. If we want to push a particular server, we usually force the 3rd server to stop attacking us – hence, unofficial alliance. That’s probably all that is happening.

Since we are on the topic, didnt the bulk of CO transfer from KN to DB, after DB moved to T2?

CO was still on KN to the very end of their spell on T2, or was there a DB arm too?

We were on Kaineng a few days in T3 while we were scouting how DB would do in T2, and I think we moved over the following Wednesday. Although we are right back in T2, we are super pleased with the move.

DB BL was fun guys. The island 3/way was awesome. I knew when we rolled up to the bridge, it was all like LEROY JENKINS!

I think most of this can be fixed by just making arrow carts not able to damage most siege. Then if they are trebbing you, you can get catapults inside the min treb shot range.

There should be a counter to anything that the enemy does or can do

“Realistically” arrows should disable/destroy things.

Commander’s options for small detailed tactics (i.e. build this here to counter that), are even smaller then they were. Arrow carts for semi-close range, Trebs for farther away. There is nothing that is a rock-paper-scissor counter to this and it makes taking a keep boring, removes more skill from defending and assualting.

They need to reward smaller groups more, and big zergs less. One way is to have a set amount of xp per objective. If 5 people take a keep by themselves they should get a crazy amount of xp. If 80 people take a keep they should get just barely more than nothing.

Zerg play is here to stay. For the people that don’t like them, xfer to tier 4+.

They should buff server points/world xp/etc to being in the open field, protecting/attacking supply lines. Buff the guards and the dolyak health. Make it fun and a challenge to take it and/or defend it.

Make supply in keeps (maybe towers) to not allow players to pick it up. Instead make it something you can ‘buy’ or activate via an npc for the workers to do. So that there is a max amount supply that can go into rebuilding walls gates. Or make them un-repairable when the camp is under attack/enemy in the vacinity.

Door is going down, and you don’t want to be able to repair it?? So who pays for that cost… is it limited to who’s banner is displayed at the time? They drop fast enough as it is…

Expand the siege cap to limit the number of arrow carts that can be placed in any 2000 yd range.

Expand the siege cap to limit the number of siege that can be built in any 30/60 or 120 min interval in a BL/Keep/Tower/etc.

Expand… yet limit. Moar is better…. except flame rams out in the middle of nowhere. Anet needs to stop that.

These things may or may not be fun for people but what do i know, I’m just a programmer.

Zerging, defending, taking, busting, bottlenecking… all fun parts of the game. Realistically, most captures only take a minute or two with a sizable force. If there just isn’t enough people, different tactics are required to capture (i.e. – lower tier play). The whole idea of gathering all the people on a map to attack is that you have the entire gambit of skills at your disposal, not to mention the manpower. I love taking a tower in a few minutes, just to have another server run in right behind us to stop it. Will they take it? Will we counter? 50/50… its fun no matter what.

I need to give some props to DB from last night on TCBL. PD only had a small number out last night so we were scouting and taking camps, etc. RET and HOPE had smallish (for them) groups on the map as well.

At one point of the night, TC was knocking on the front door of Briar. I get into the tower to report the gate and numbers I saw. I figured there to be 25-30 TC on the door, give or take a few. I’m standing on the wall and suddenly I see [CO] massing up on the shore NE of the tower, probably 10-12 of them. I’m thinking “this should be interesting”. Then I saw what looked like a group of [Agg] (maybe 15?) on the South shore and I started to smile, a nice flank move. What happened next blew me away. The door goes down and TV pours in, just as the [CO] group engages and the [Agg] group engages a HUGE DB zerg rolls across the bridge right in the middle of them and pours into the tower. That’s the first time I think I have ever seen a 3 pronged coordinated attack from a server other than FA and it was done masterfully.

That was us with Mayoken on the north shore. I think it was more luck than anything, but we saw the other two teams moving and so rolled around the corner into TC. We saw the hole in the door, and ran up the stairs through to the other side of the lord, then had a nice CO, AGG, EA sandwich. Same thing happened about 10 minutes later when TC was on south Bay inner gate: CO ran out of gate just as EA/Agg was rolling around from the southwest side.

On a side note: whichever mesmer laid down speed and then pulled us into the zerg… nice move. Very nice move. Almost didn’t get out of it.

The time I spent in [WM] during the Kaineng rise to T2 was the most enjoyable ai have had in the game, if crazy work hours had not stopped me being able to play I would never have left, Jang no fan boy stuff, is the most uncanny Commander and leader on the field I have ever played alongside, the GvG we did was epic and silenced a lot of gobby mouthed trolls by the actions of the guild speaking louder than words ever could. [WM] is blessed with some great Commanders especially Ssaoul, Chicken & Tofu who I learnt a lot from and respect tremendously. Wish you all the best and hopefully when work settles down I can rejoin.

My all time favorite Jang moment was when a newbie was in TS asking what in the world were we doing? “OMG, there is a zerg right there on the wall in SMC, we should be doing something!!” Jang (in his buttery smooth voice) calmly said, “We are trapping them; veil please?” and then we wiped the zerg. The newbie was like “Um… did we… just…”

I, for one, thought this was one of the funnier achievements given the recent rise and fall of Kaineng.

I absolutely will be getting this title.

It was a good run, got lots of hate on the way up, enjoyed the bejeezus out of all the people I ran with and played against. I (we) learned a lot from everyone we matched up against, and hopefully you guys learned some good stuff from us along the way.

Kaineng was suppose to be the ultimate WvW playground for all those people who wanted it. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay that way. It was a great time for us, and I am sure we will be mentioned FOREVER – love us/hate us, at least you will remember us. :-)

Epic epic epic fights in EB right now. Best WvW night I have had yet. When the game crashed on me, I had 103 badges and a completely full inventory. Keep bringing it TC and FA!

We all talked in TS about TC taking over our borderlands, but decided that defending Hills was better use of time. My favorite moment was “How many FA at north gate?” “Um… all of them?”

RET has pro-tactics and earned much respect tonight. How about the epic underwater golem fight?

Isn’t this what made kaineng, kaineng? The idea of “stacking” one server. Oh the hypocrisy!

I think the idea behind it was that the serious wvw players were tired of people that didn’t really care for wvw very much. Kaineng was a breath of fresh air: War Machine just provided the catalyst for us to pick this server vs. another server.

I’m totally happy for our TC and BG brethren smacking some pain down on their tiers.

Looks like BG will move to T1 and TC will move to T3. This makes me sad… I loved TC’s great attitude and sense of humor, and I loved BG’s zerg rolls. This was the epic matchup we were all hoping for, and I hope that we all remember this special time together

On the flip side: I can’t wait to crush FA and SoS next week! It won’t be long until the JQ/BG/Kain thread shows up. And when that time comes, I hope BG remembers this thread :P

So last night we were running our nonWM zerg around and someone asked “Why aren’t we capturing points?”. Someone else said “Practicing.”

jesus i have never seen such blatant spying by a server until this match up. Kaineng attacks sm opens the se door and as soon as the commander is alerted and porting to lowlands they run away from the wide open door. I dont blame them for runing though after getting wiped so many times.

Definitely not spying. Just getting you to use up your supplies. We busted the same door open about half a dozen times

I will say that the BG zerg is rolling us something fierce. I like this tier… i like it alot.

I am happy for SF being in T1. Good for them. Don’t let the mythical WM or zergbots get to you; play – have fun – don’t give up.

First off – Great thread title.
2nd off – Great video. The music selection was funny
3rd off – WM does a whole hell of a lot of things that don’t make sense. But it works.

Some rules that I have seen:
1) stay on the leader
2) stay on the objective
3) don’t go after stray’s

Also, DB taking the SE keep (Redbriar?) from us last night was – hands down – the best fight ever. Loved the move where you balled up in the waterfall at the supply camp too.

I have heard every excuse in the book over the last few weeks as to why other servers lose to Kaineng.

- Maguuma – you have the numbers, but you buckle easily. If you stood your ground, you would be unstoppable.
- Dragonbrand – Wow! hats off to you guys. You do more with smaller teams than I ever saw from Mag. You seem very well organized and you hit hard.

Stop making excuses: come beat us! We want you to… we only get better when you start fighting and stop whining.
