I made the mistake of posting “want the new unlimited logging axe!” in guild chat, and someone thought I was offering to gift it. Now I feel obligated, all because I didn’t type “I” at the beginning of the statement. That’ll teach me.

I noticed that. Maybe there’s an issue with animation like with the sickle. I hope it comes soon.

I’d read that an unlimited use logging axe was coming to the Gem Store with this patch, but have not found it there. Has anyone heard more about this?

I’m getting confused by all the fast changes. Could someone please spell out for me which of the events and content are still happening in Southsun? Which are permanent and which are temporary?

I’m searching for the popular thread on the bug affecting Daily Achievement chest not being awarded. The term Daily only appears twice; neither are the thread I am looking for. “Daily achievement” appears zero times in search results. I did not receive my Daily chest because I completed the JP at the same time. I think the Forum search is not working right, and I cannot find info about the bug and or resolution.

I’m wondering the same thing. I’d happily grind if I could have the Paper Dragon title!

Same here while going to The Mists. Also when trying to log onto this forum several times.

I’m on Tarnished Coast, had 3-4 disconnects earlier today, and just now additionally had huge lag and 3 disconnects, all in SAB playing solo. In SAB Lag showed me as semi-transparent viewing a cutscene reel while I was actually running. Died a few times due to lag. Restarting the client twice did not help.

Edit: Just now I was unable to even enter SAB, followed by another disconnect.

Infantile mode for me is as difficult as regular mode is for you. We still fight mobs, try for chests, etc. Just sayin’.

Apparently per account, not per character, unless it was my easy mode on the second character today that didn’t give full chest Bauble Bubbles.

And once they’re turned into the concentrated form, it seems like there’s no way to spend those at the shop for extra lives, or no way to convert back to individual baubles. Right?

That’s not what I mean. After the first chest you have a couple of Bauble Bubbles in addition to Baubles. Obviously we can hold those. Can we carry an infinite amount of Bauble Bubbles (the concentrated ones)?

So how many Bauble Bubbles can you hold at once with the starter wallet?

So on Infantile Mode do we get as many baubles as we do on regular mode? Because I just about spent all my baubles (and had 3 strokes and a heart attack) just to get through the first level on regular mode.

Edit: apparently we only get a few baubles at the end of the first zone, not two Bauble Bubbles, like on regular mode.

In Infantile Mode, mobs drop a spinning box with flowers painted on it. Jumping on it does nothing. Are we supposed to collect something from it? Is it a bug?

I might use Infantile Mode to explore at my own pace, then later play with groups once I’m more confident.

How much does the starting wallet hold?

What kind of rewards can we expect to get in Infantile Mode? I plan to do plenty of jumping and exploring despite the rainbows. Is it possible to get skins if we explore, fight mobs, and open chests?

I came on here to find out if the drop rate on these had been vastly lowered. I thought that greens could drop from them also, but maybe not. The wiki does say “up to rare quality.”

It had been maybe 6 weeks since I saw a wooden chest, but last night I noticed one drop from a trash mob, containing a rare. This makes me wonder how many wooden chests I have missed! I don’t know what “<search> thing” Khisanth is referring to, except maybe pressing Ctrl. If there’s some easy way to routinely notice them more easily I’d really like to know!

Same here. Restarting my computer didn’t help. Ten minutes ago I was logged in fine.

Well the g300 was just the right size, but the settings I made in the Logitech software wouldn’t save properly on the mouse (requiring resetting over and over). Also, within 5 minutes of use, it stopped working and froze my computer.

As of now g400 is my best option.

OP here. Thanks for all the suggestions, as well as measurements. My biggest frustration has been not finding measurements available on vendor or even manufacturer websites, so word of mouth is a big help!

For the time being I’m using a Logitech g400 because it has a “waist” and a low profile which makes it easier for me to control. However it’s not fantastic, so I’ll be looking into many of the suggestions you offered. The g300 suggestion looks interesting. I hadn’t realized it’s a smaller size, and my local Best Buy didn’t carry them. I think I’m going to order one and see how I like it compared to the g400.

The Naga I had was okay in terms of shape and size, but developed a bad bug. Customer service sent me a monstrously-long form to fill out for a replacement, and would not send it to me asap. Rather than go mouse-less, I pitched the Naga in the trash. Bye, Razer, thanks for the memories.

I like to have weapon swap, dodge, heal, and at least a couple F-keys on my mouse. I bind many of my skill keys to more convenient locations on my keyboard, because again with the small hands. I don’t like double-tapping because it’s troublesome in jumping.

Oh jeez, I’d have to become an engineer to use that one! O.o

I’ve used the Razer Naga and the Logitech G600, but both of them are too large to control with my smaller (female) hands. The G600 is both too wide and too long for my hands. I find it impossible to have good control of the mouse itself, while keeping oriented on the buttons.

I really only need 6 well-placed buttons to bind to Dodge, Heal, and F1-4. I’d appreciate any suggestions from those of you with smaller hands. (I don’t want another Razer mouse because of their horribly buggy software.)

I’m cleaning out my bank and don’t want to accidentally remove items that are unique skins received as loot from personal story quests. Does anyone know where I could find a list of these items?

From my perspective as a leveling player, it’s good for the Trading Post to offer a broad and affordable range of items of all rarities and levels and I’m pleased that for the most part, this seems to be the case. But I don’t understand how players are benefiting from selling (for example blue or green items) to the TP for approximately the same price as vendors give. Is this just a good-will gesture to benefit other players? Or is this because it’s easier for players to clear out their bags by selling directly to the TP from their current location?

On the other hand, when I played another game a few years ago, we could usually count on making some money by emptying our bags into the AH. I miss that.

Hoping simpler suggestions would be more do-able, I suggest that increasing the number of tattoo colors would make a huge difference. Often I want to tattoo my Norns, but the colors don’t appeal to me, or are too vivid.

I’d love to have more choice of tattoo colors, or possible a slider to adjust the strength of the colors, similar to the sylvari glow slider.

Is ANet only offering the new hair colors for a limited time, or will those colors remain options permanently?

I’m no lore expert, but just playing through my Story. I cannot stand his constantly saying , “This won’t end well.” Now I just play with the sound off. He’s such a downer.

I’m reporting back to say that I have succeeded at completing this! First I changed the graphic settings to Best Performance, and similarly the sound. Being 80 in exotic armor with 80 food and potion may have improved my chances, but so did a single-minded focus to take out the Veterans in the Courtyard. My best suggestion is that once in the Courtyard, don’t target anything but one Veteran at a time, and kill the first one as fast as you can. The npcs will work with you that way.

I missed all the other monthlies because I don’t play dungeons or WvW. Today I crafted for the first time because of this achievement, and I’m glad I did!

Isn’t this a quest that all Personal Stories need to complete? If so, then there are a whole lot more of us stuck at this point.

I spent more than an hour just in the courtyard, died maybe 20 times (level 73 with undead potion and regeneration food.) After all that effort I got about 3 drops of white or gray junk and no experience. It’s interesting to learn of the 6K bomb. There are, of course, other problems with this besides mob levels, such as the perpetual spawning of Risen and the swarming behavior which prevents kiting.

I hope someone looks into the code regarding this.

Request: if at some point this quest is repaired in Live, could someone please post in this thread that it’s been changed? Then we can continue our storyline without wasting a whole evening checking to see if it’s still broken.

We never really saw Tybalt die. I’m hoping we discover later that he’s still alive.

I did try kiting them away from the courtyard, but always found the entire pack following the one or two I’d singled out, so kiting didn’t help me. They want my braaaiiinsssss.

I’ve been stuck in the courtyard for well over an hour. Is it supposed to be like this? I’m level 73 and am using a potion and food, and I’ve been swamped by all the risen at once, all the named npc’s are dead, I keep raising them, they keep dying, I’m naked, have killed easily a hundred risen and they keep on respawning. Every time I die, I go back in and the tide never turns.

I’m not sure if reducing veterans by 2 levels is going to do the job.

When it says retrying, can you just leave it and trust it’s really retrying? Or do you need to exit and restart over and over?

I’m not a whiner, not a min/maxer, not looking to game the game. I’m a regular player, an old lady playing since open beta, coming back from a few weeks’ break, leveling in the open world. I’m not farming, not a bot, not looking for exotics, just playing the game as it’s intended to be played.

Yesterday I was leveling in the Harathi Hinterlands, doing the centaur event chain with dozens of other people. Yay, this is fun! I’m glad I’m playing GW2 again! At the end of the chain someone says to follow them to fight Champion Kol Skullsmasher. Yes! This is the spirit of the game, of playing with others! A few of us followed and spent 10 minutes or more killing Skullsmasher, wow, I love this game!

Once he was dead he dropped zero loot for me, no sparkle, no chest. Another player linked a rare he just picked up from Skullsmasher. Okay, I don’t expect a rare for myself. But zero loot? I thought the way loot worked was if one person gets loot, everyone gets loot, even if it’s gray or white. I’m pretty sure I read some patch notes recently that said all champions drop loot.

A guild member explained that this is what happens after you spend an hour in one zone. Can this really be true? Isn’t this game designed to let us participate in the world in an immersive way? Do we seriously need to switch between zones every hour in order to get ordinary loot? This is the opposite of immersion, of playing with a group of people we come across naturally in the game.

I honestly don’t know if I should submit a bug ticket, or if this is now how the game works. It just makes me really sad that bots can rip out the heart and soul of the game.

Do you happen to remember the name of the pants? I’ve looked ahead to about level 60 in my personal story but have not seen the pants as rewards. There was Stalwart’s Pants, but is not part of this set.

I try to hold onto unique personal story items, but so far they seem to come in sets.

I found it here, called Rubric . It looks really different with shoulders. I still haven’t found the other pieces, though. If anyone happens to know, I’d appreciate knowing more about it.

I’ve been unable to find out whether there are other pieces to go with this light armor chest piece (Stalwart’s Coat) which I got from my level 39 personal story quest. The chat link is [&AgHIGAAA].

I’ve looked up story quest rewards as well as several armor sites and can’t find legs or other pieces intended to match this. Does anyone recognize this?

I’m hoping for a UI chest, not one more thing to look for on the ground. But if it’s a UI chest, will more than one show up if unopened, or will loot accumulate in the chest from multiple loot drops until opened?
