What do I do when i get an “ERROR: Invalid authorization” message?

I’m asking this (and on an “old” post) because I used the tool a couple of days ago and it worked fine.

Good evening friends.

I read that some of you Mac BETA users have yours working after the latest patch.

I appeal you to do the community a huge favor and share your “Preferences” folder and “Guild Wars 2” folder located in the library.

In doing so, we might gather more information wether or not this fixes the issue.

To locate the “Preferences” folder:
1. Open the contents of Guild Wars 2.app by right clicking and selecting show package contents;
2. Navigate to Contents ? Resources. (The Preferences folder should be there).

To locate the “Guild Wars 2” folder in the library:
1. Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar;
2. Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A drop-down will appear;
3. While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” drop-down;
4. Once in the Library folder click on Application Support -> Guild Wars 2. (And that’s the folder required).

Thank you in advance wether or not you guys are willing to share your folders.

Or you could mix valk/cavalier/berserker to have balanced stats on top of maximum crit damage possible which is the whole point of a backstab thief with hidden killer. * shrugs *

Personally I avoid soldiers.

They can always defend themselves claiming this is a BETA version. Which is true by the way.

I’ve had this “black-screen” bug before right after a patch. Following the instructions in the sticky fixed it, but not this time.

I had the exact same problem, so I’ve also tried all of the tips in the sticky to no effect.

I re-installed the game, went through the process of downloading that whooooole thing again (took me the whole day to download ~20gb).

I then re-did every step and still won’t work.

As a paying customer, I am VERY upset.

+1 for native Mac client, just having a beta client won’t shut us up! ^^

The mini-heartseeker are not worth doing.

Losing awareness of your enemy’s location during a fight just for one extra heartseeker is NOT worth it.

He probably would have won more duels if he didn’t do it.

I’ve met all sorts of “perplexors”, from the s/p asuras with the ranged daze and 30 trickery to the p/d+d/p stealth spammers that also add bleeds and torment to the mix (hardest so far). Not one of them won though.

Beating perplexity thieves is easy, especially as a condi-removing-superhero-30SA-d/p.
All you need is constant pressure, knowing where the other thief is by not moving ur camera to show only yourself while you spam mini heart seekers is a start. One tip: Shadowshot.

1). Legendary stat change does not change the stats at all (ex: mine is berserker and when changing to valks it does not grant any hp);

2). Incinerator footfalls do not seem changed AT ALL;

3). Can’t change the stats on Arachnophobia as stated on the patch notes;

4). I keep getting spammed with: “You have an equipped item that does not have any stats selected” (probably due to the fact that i can’t change Arachnophobia)

Some people just awayfromkeyboard in LA and get 1k+ hours when in reality they have ~200.

How am I supposed to headshot heartseekers when he goes into stealth and starts 2222222’ing away from 2k yards when visible? (Blinding powder+Last refuge stacks stealth, on top of him using signet of shadows solely for the purpose of going out of combat).

And I don’t know where you’re getting this whole “so you lost a duel” thing when I was the one chasing someone going out of combat to heal up

I died 1v5 and later on found this poser luring me out to duel, we dueled and I’ll summarize this for you:

He CnD -> Stab -> 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 regardless of hitting the stab or not.
If he were to hit the stab, he would then stay there spamming 2’s or autoattack, if not he would 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 away with his signet of shadows out of combat to get basilisk back up and free heal-up.
Not much to say about a 16k hp (probably full ptv set) no-stunbreaker scrub thief who cant play but has a cheesy tactic to reset the fights.

After getting him to really low hp and witnessing his “tactic” I decided to go on a trolling rampage, which seems to have worked ^.^

Anyway just thought I’d stop by and clear some things up.

P.S.: That video I made isn’t showing off, it was to compare and try to come to a conclusion wether condi or power was best to clear a camp.

P.S.#2: And for the record, I don’t play D/P for the cheezy stealth abuse. I play it because it’s a superior weaponset with UTILITY (clutch headshot interrupts, shadowshot gap closer (which is huge since thief lacks the constant swiftness every other class has), shadowshot-backstabs and blindfield) not just to spam hurr hurr 5 2 2 2 endlessly.

Build: Doesn’t matter, but I used the “Lazy Killer” build because that’s already what was on my guy, and it has insanely strong auto-attacks which makes damage a pretty easy thing to do, and one less thing you have to worry about. Mixture of Berserker’s and Knight’s gear. D/D.

Utilities: Signet of Shadows, Caltrops are all that really matter. My other two were Signet of Agility and Thieves Guild.

Food: Super Veggie Pizza. The +36% condition duration puts Dancing Dagger and Caltrops at a 7.25 and 14.5 second cripple, respectively, which is INSANE.

Target Chomper and throw a Dancing Dagger or two, then try to get Caltrops on Chomper ASAP. The long cripples plus the 25% movement speed boost from SoS will ensure you get to the meat before Chomper every single time, provided it doesn’t get tossed directly into Chomper’s mouth.

By the time you pick up your third piece of meat, Chomper should be dead or close to dead. Finish him off (with heartseeker, or auto attacks, or whatever) and then Steal to Strugar. This’ll give you some feathers (it gave me feathers on both attempts, dunno if that’s a steady thing or coincidence), which you can use and position yourself for a nice backstab. Strugar should already be decently low on health if you’ve been spamming Dancing Dagger, since it’ll hit both of them. From there I just auto-attacked his asparagus and spammed a few Heartseekers and that was it!

Hope this wasn’t too confusing, and that it will perhaps help someone in their neverending quest for difficult achievements!

- My video has: TWO melee guards, TWO ranged guards, TWO dolyaks, ONE claimer, ONE quartermaster, that adds up to EIGHT total npcs.

- Your video has: ONE melee guard, TWO ranged guards, ZERO dolyaks, ONE claimer, ONE quartermaster, that adds up to FIVE total npcs.

On top of all that, you started with a stolen ability got from somewhere else AND you failed to show your stats/inventory/traits as requested.

Why are you ignoring my edit? Show us all one caltrops killing a dolyak.

You reply without a single mention of killing 5 targets instead of 8, cute.

And you started the camp with already throw gunk in your steal, cute.

Mine was 1 try too, sup with that.

So in short:
- I start at 00:12. At 00:40 the dolly dies and I lose like 6 seconds getting to the claimer, which dies at 01:05.

By my math I took 18 seconds to kill the claimer plus 28 to kill the rest, not to mention never being below 90% hp

Thats a total of 46 seconds to kill MORE TARGETS than you and without having the claimer there to take the aoe damage from sigil of fire, daggerstorm+bleeddmg and throw gunk.

I’d say it would probably cut more than 6 seconds from the total. So yeah, how exactly is your “best overall wvw build” the quote “hands down best camp flipper” again?

As requested by the OP, a video of me flipping a camp including stats page, gear and build.

After attempting to read all that clouded judgement/biased crap (mind you, the lack of punctuation and structure kept me) I’ve come to the conclusion:

Play whatever you want, do whatever you like, think that you’re the best and your build is the best. While you live in your dreamworld the rest of us will live in the real world and be better than you

I would say POWER builds such as S/D + SB (dodge build) and D/P + SB (stealth build) would be the best overall wvw builds.

Both have:
- Roaming
- Great condi removal
- Great mobility/escape mechanics (dodges/shadowsteps on one, perma stealth on the other)
- Great AoE damage (nothing beats trickshot/clusterbomb)
- Capable of doing actual damage to siege
- Capable of QUICKLY flip camps
- BURST capability to snipe out high damage problematic targets
- Etc.

Although that build of youres might include a couple of these points its just because the trait lines collide, nothing more. While missing out on other KEY aspects.

Its about OVERALL PERFORMANCE and CONTRIBUTION. (caps so you can understand)

No Viking, we’re wrong you see… P/D (CONDI) does MAYBE 1% less than D/P (POWER).

Post a screenshot of your stats page open with combat log of you killing any kind of siege, I’ll do the same. Lets see the 1% less.

Oh and by the way, I’m pretty sure that 100% chance of ricochet trickshot with one extra richochet jump/target is more effective than 50% chance of ricochet. Not to mention having higher base damage.

The “best overall wvw build” shouldn’t excuse a weakness such as being bad at killing siege by saying “oh i got my friends to do it”.

A best overall wvw build is meant to provide the BEST OVERALL PERFORMANCE (in caps so u can understand).

Hopefully his almighty “best overall wvw build” lol!

Also notice how he still failed to explain himself when prompted with the question:

Shoot I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but “best OVERALL wvw build” would be able to kill siege. You probably take half a day to kill a cannon.

Counting the CnD’s used on npcs and downed targets rofl. I was refering to the ones you miss on moving targets in proximity that could be easily landed. I won’t bother counting the CnD’s but the first one wasn’t “PERFECT”, the first one you CnD the AIR in front of you lol, just saying.

Too bad I can’t accept your challenge since I’m EU, and I would gladly bet gold on it.

I’ll legit quit when a thief clicking all of his utils and sometimes even the weapon skills (yeah we all saw you click CnD too) beats me 1v1.

But my 2cents here are:

- Clicking;
- Bad player;
- Bad build;
- Ultrabad oponents;
- Trying to stealth with revealed on;
- Lots of CnD in thin air lol.

First clip you take FOREVER to flip a camp, 2 BADS appear and u just troll around doing no damage whatsoever. Then a third party shows up and kitten s them, oh and also kitten d you, but you didn’t include that part u just skipped ahead.

Second clip you kill a “double-signet-dont-even-know-whatthehell-hes-doing” thief that just bleeds to death while throwing arrows into the air, proceeding to run away and /laugh when AGAIN a third party shows up to choochoo eveything… lolwut?

Third clip you won a 3v2 congrats LOL. Warriors cant do much against condis as it is either way you were getting your rectum handed to you 1v1.

Fourth clip you won a 2v1 congrats LOL, on top of that against a ranger that does nothing about the SINGLE CONDI stack he has and doesn’t combo-field heal himself.
You then proceed to troll around doing minimal damage while both parties actually fight each other and later on your server shows up and kills everything. Bravo sir.
(the rest of this clip you pretty much do nothing)

Fifth clip is basically a bunch of allies with you killing people (including upscaleds) by outnumbering. (please don’t mention the mesmer, even killing an npc is harder than that).

Mister, i defecate on P/D thieves on a daily basis that are 50 times better than you both in build and skill.

BEST overall wvw build? lol… I’m glad you added IMO to the title because that’s just that: a terri-bad player’s opinion.

Please do continue to do videos, its entertaining if you take it as a joke.
