Here’s another video I made awhile back. The way Entangle works against stealth hasn’t been changed.
I’m going to have to say that Entangle should work against stealthed targets.
It’s a plant coming out of the ground grabbing on to anything in the area. It shouldn’t require "sight’’ or a “target” to continue it’s effect on players.
Here’s a quick test I did that shows what happens to stealthed players when you cast Entangle.
Just thought I’d make a new Entangle test for you guys. It still doesn’t “work” on stealthed targets.
Entangle doesn’t work on stealthed targets. So wait until they come out of stealth.

Ugh, you’re running the worst ranger build ever. You have a completely different build than the OP. His can actually kill things.

I disagree again with healing power being the main reason why the build works so much. Going 0/0/6/4/4 you would lose out on a condition being cleared with each shout, stability on F3, and that extra 10% boon duration.
Using boon duration food over -40% condition food is a very bad idea. When it comes to roaming condition classes are everywhere, they are all running +40% which will eat you alive without -40%.
I disagree with the gear selection. Yes, going more dps means you are squishier. However, going full clerics means you will be hitting like a wet noodle and provide no dps help what so ever.
Healing is not the main reason this build works well. It’s the condition clears. 2 conditions cleared with each shout, the 3 removed on F2.
Boon duration helps yes, but there’s not much you can do about that anymore unless you drop trooper runes, you can’t do the 2/2/2 rune set for 45% duration anymore, and dropping trooper runes reduces the amount of conditions you can clear for the group.
Most roaming group do not target a guardian first, so being focused is usually never an issue. Even if I get targeted first I have plenty of ways to stay alive while the real dps is able to kill whoever is on me because they can free cast.

Seeing as how the topic is just about roaming and not solo roaming, the video shows how powerful conditions are when outnumbered. Very first fight is a 2v4+
here’s some more outnumbered fights. Very first fight is against 2 zerker mesmers, which are consider one of the better roaming classes

If those are all from the same server, you use to be able to get 10+ by having everyone pull out a ram and then on the count of 3 toss them down.
When all of them are thrown at the same time there’s no current siege so no cap at that time.

My suggestion is to disable the number 2 and 3 abilities on all classes and call it good. (aside from just removing down state)
The performance is better as ever. The players are better as ever. We just need some new things
I have to say it’s 80% their fault and 20% the players fault that a lot of the good guilds left and people got bored with the game.
Too many players worrying about the ppt game and wanting to stack a server. Go to the wvw recruitment thread and you’ll see post from Full servers looking for more players when they already win the match up by 100k.
I still run the build and have some success with it.

I suppose people could join SoS however, here’s a peak into how well they fight.
SoS isn’t the best place to go if your looking for experienced wvw. They have a hard time with individual/small scale skill based activities.
Just look at two of them try to kill one ranger.
The duration on these boons is fixed, instead of a copy of your own. And might happens to be fixed at 10 sec.
Not true if you run might boon duration the might the pet gains goes up from that trait. In the build I posted about, each attack with the axe gives 17 1/4 seconds of might to the pet.

why didnt u use ur signet for stability stomp on the dual engi fight?
That was right after patch, I had it on there so I could test that out but completely forgot. Also, when you down warriors or engineers you can stand behind your pet and their downed state interrupt won’t stop you, it’ll hit your pet instead.
Sorry but this build wouldn’t be able to kill any skilled player.
1700 healing? only 900 condition damage? I posted a build that would do pretty much the exact same thing you’re looking for, but actually helps you kill players yourself instead of relying on a pet to do all the work for you while you just kite.
Killing 25 drake hatchlings after every encounter sounds draining!
Lol I like how you know people will die with the build. I’m not a fan of relying on pet AI to do all of the damage.
The reason I use the battle sigils is because of the trait that shares boons with my pet. It’s the reason I have the fury on survival skills as well, the extra condition clear is nice too. I think stacking might has a higher dps potential than just straight undead runes. Someone can do the math if they like. My condition damage reaches 2200+ during fights.
Having my pet hit harder is a plus. Apparently someone made a whole build based around just that too ha.
Hey guys, I had a build in mind for the new main hand axe change, I think it works pretty well. I’ll go more into detail later, just wanted to post the video and see what people thought.
The first 2 fights are an hour or so before patch, you can see I’m able to keep about 12 stacks of might up most of the time. The last fight against 2 Condi Engies is just after the patch. I was able to get 22 stacks of might a few times during the fight.
The build I used was based around battle sigils, mighty swap, and the runes from CM which give 45% might duration. Hope you enjoy the video!
Oh and I’d have more fights post patch, but not being able to stomp got me….. a little up set haha. I found out during that last fight that I wasn’t able to stomp, reason you see me kind of just standing still haha.
(still working on what Skills and such I like to use)
Edit: I suppose this could be used for Power as well. Really only need the mighty swap, battle sigils, and + might duration Runes.

Having issues with the option to finish players popping up. Sometimes I can’t even stomp them and I have to just dps them to death. Fix it plzkthx.

All other channeled abilities hit stealthed players as long as they were started before they stealthed.
It seems like roaming solo is a dying art. I can’t recall the last time I actually met an enemy player roaming around the battlefield by himself.
I see plenty of roamers though…in packs of 2, 3…5. It seems like everyone has given up on fair fights and prefers either running or completely overwhelming their enemies.
A shame really since solo-roaming used to be kind of fun. But now it feels like nobody dares leave the house without an easy backup.
Show me a Ranger build for soloing.
For some reason since the nerf on 15 April, I can’t kill much of anything whereas I absolutely could pretty darn easily before that…
Roaming seems to be in small groups, not viable with the OP’ness of Engi, Necro, Warrior and Guardian and Theives – oh gee that leaves Mesmers and Rangers, goodie.
I main a Ranger, with a tag, and since the nerf I haven’t been able to find a WvW viable build for solo roaming or even small group havoc.
So no, I am no longer an effective roamer.
There are Ranger builds for 1v1’s and 1v2’s I roam solo on my Ranger all the time.
